The Weaving Protocols allow an Alchemical to control the Design Weavers , which are Autochthonia's version of the Pattern Spiders. They re-write reality directly from the source, rather than bending it to ones will, as a sorcerer would.

It is noted that when Autochthon built the Pattern Spiders, he added a "back door" which allow the Protocols to command them as well.

As to why? Because Autochthon left Creation with the intent to return one day.

I see.

What would Gaia do, though, I wonder?

An interesting setting idea I once came up with was one where Gaia had actually masterminded everything- a "mother knows best" sort of thing, and that she had given the GoD to the Incarna specifically to test them to see if they were allowed off her apron strings yet (they failed, except of course for Luna, who was in on the trick from the start...). She's certainly in an advantageous position, when you think about it... only primordial left in Creation, Incarna unwilling to interfere with anything, her own Exalted in control... interesting thought. I pondered making it an official part of the "Dragon-Born" setting, since they worship her.

Could Gaia give the Alchemicals the smackdown? Oh, she wouldn't be a fighter, sure, but she can do other things. How good would you be at fighting your mother, even if you'd been in your dad's custody for a few thousand years?

Actually, it talks about a union of cooperation between the two. Emo Gaia would get a fire lit under her ass. It's suggested that perhaps entire new swaths of Creation would incorporate the look of Autocthon. Such as clockwork towers the size of mountains. Take that you Gaia lover :P

Wouldn't that make her a cyborg?

And wouldn't it be, like, the primordial equivalent of sex? They'd be, like... merging. I don't think Gaia likes Auto that way. I'd say she loves him more like a sister.

They've got such a great friendship. Why risk what they have?

:P

Read Autocthonians for once DK lover!

*points to the evidence of the avatar* You're like Gaia's PR man, surely you have bias in this issue! Clearly stated!

As the president, you cannot be held liable, sir.

It's Lotus' fault for not fixing his post.

And it's the programmers' fault for not fixing the damn loom when there's a snag.

Fire the Pattern Spiders and get some Steam Faction in there to straighten it out.  They're used to tripple shifts.

I am working on the problem, but in the meantime, if your post gets truncated and fucks up the formatting, PLEASE FIX IT INSTEAD OF JUST COMPLAINING ABOUT IT.

Actually the problem I was having was pretty consistant: It wouldn't edit any differently when I'd try.

It's an issue with quotes, so far as I can see. Sometimes quotes just get truncated with anything after them.

By that estimation, you could fix a post by removing quotes, but sometimes that eats the heart out of a post anyway.
