Thamina didn’t raise too much of a stink at the price knowing that they both have more than enough to make the journey, and Salwa will certainly enjoy travel by boat after all this time in the desert. As the coins are exchanged, the shape-shifted woman says, “Thank you, Captain. We will secure what gear we have in our room and stay out of the way of your crew.”

Within two hours, the ship sails south, towards Jumlat. The journey is a bit rocky at some points, when the waves seem to raise and lower the ship ominously.

Make a Stamina + Resistance to not get sea sick.

The captain assures you that it will take but 3 days to get there. But on the 2nd day, there's a bit of scrambling from the crew.

Salwa is delighted to have the feeling of the ship rocking under her feet after spending so long in the beach away from all of this. The smell of the salt water, the sound of the ship slicing through the waves, all make Salwa feel like she's at home.

OOC Sta + Resistance = 7 Successes
Per + Awareness = 4 Successes

Thamina is not as familiar with sailing ships, she does her best to not get in the way of the workings of the crew.

Stamina + Resistance = three successes
Perception + Awareness = four successes

The two of you manage to not get seasick, which isn't a problem for Salwa, since she's used to the motion of the waves. And the crew goes about their business.

On the second day, you both notice in the distance another ship, not that an unusual sight, but the flag is what draws your attention. It is a crimson square with a stylized flame on it.

OOC
Make an Int + Lore difficulty 1 to recognize it as the symbol of the Brotherhood of the True Flame

Thamina takes a close look at the sail on the other ship.

3 successes

You both recognize the symbol marking it as a vessel of the Brotherhpood of True Flame, the notorious Fire Aspect Drgagon-Blooded organization. The crew is terrified, but they calm once it becomes evident that the vessel isn't heading you way or intercepting you. The collective sigh of relief is audible.

Unless you decide to do something, your ship arrives to Jumlat at the dawn of the next day, easing into the port, and as part of your passage, you spend the next 4 hours helping them unload the goods from the vessel.

It is noon, with the high sun making life harsh, when you're free to do as you please. You've been told to contact a man named Ali al-Himar (Ali, the donkey), but you weren't given any directions on how to find him.

Thamina looks over at Salwa and says, “I know a few people here that might be able to get us in touch with Ali for a small service fee. It might take a few days before my feelers are successful in getting results. Let’s get a room and settle in and enjoy ourselves as befitting our current cover identities.”

Salwa replies, “You had my attention at the thought of getting a drink or three into my belly. You have a preference as to where we go to get our drinks and to set out your feelers to try and find this guy?”

Thamina nods. “There are places that show the marks of the thieves guild around the docks that we can go and I’ll be able to get in contact with some people that can get us in touch with our man. You can get your drink while I talk to the contact.”
