I'd also like to make a character that I'm not sure about categorizing under the Expera or a civilian. I was thinking a bounty-hunter or espionage/surveillance expert for hire, i.e. a human "hired gun" type who works with the Expera, but isn't directly under the boss's hierarchy. Would that be possible? I thought it could be a nice way to move the plot along and it'd give me more to do as well. :-)

I believe it is! Feel free to get just the basics of your character up and jump in. You can flesh out everything later; I'd would simply hate to have you get stuck behind while making everything polished.I would love to take wiljay's left hand man if it's still available.
