Maria tensed up angrily, then realized Zara was right; using a weapon would make her seem too desperate and weak, and she certainly wasn't that. She sheathed her knife again, then got into a fighting stance, annoyed far too much by Zara's arrogance.

Roku sighed with a slight smile, genuinely happy to see Em so energetic about the choice of foods. The tall girl dished herself up some rice and poured a stew like substance over it and a couple of small smoked salmon fillets. When she looked over at her companion, Em's eyes were glazed over looking at the pecan pie she had placed on her plate. Roku couldn't help but to laugh quietly to herself. With her back turned to Tame and Nowi so that she could focus all her attention on Em. When it was just Em, she was all Roku could think about. The anger inside of her started to fade and fill up with the Em.


"Are you ready little one?" she asked, taking the tray and both their plates in one hand and offering Em the other.

Tame looked down to the floor and buried her head in Nowi's chest, hiding from the two girl's that had entered the large room.

"Hey! I'll have you know I am a millimeter taller then Emma!" retorted the girl jokingly, a smile on her face as she followed Roku down to a seat, taking a small nibble of her sandwich, and as on cue Emma came running into the hall, sitting on the opposite side of Em, "Emy!" greeted the girl ecstatically, obviously very thrilled to once more be by her sisters side. Em replied with a "Hi Emma!" and a wave of her hand before Emma took a bite of the sandwich and waving over to Roku, "Hi Roku" greeted the girl.

Nowi blushed as Tame buried her face into her chest, not knowing what caused the girl to do so. With a concerned tone she asked the girl, "Cutie, whats wrong?" even when Nowi was concerned about the girl her affection for her shined right through.


Zara actually gave a slight nod of approval at the girl for her decision before getting into her own fighting stance; then preceded to walk around in a circle around the girl, a staple in Ba Guan Zhang fighting. Before walking though she wiped her boot on the ground, a mixture of cloth skin and blood coming off of it.

Maria cautiously and warily watched Zara, not letting her guard down, awaiting her opponent's next move, standing as rigid as a stone and keeping her eyes on Zara's movements.


 
She was unaffected by the mixture of cloth, skin, and blood she saw Zara wipe off her boot, for Maria's own hands had ruined people and taken their reputation several times over.

Roku laughed at Em's sudden remark about being called little, "You'll always be little to me."


She could hear the girl's twin running into the room and in their direction as soon as she opened the door. Roku nodded in acknowledgement of Emma with a slight smile on her face and though Em was busy with her sandwich, she could tell that she was happier having her sister around. Which made Roku happy. She picked up her smoked salmon fillet that was still skewered by a wooden stick and took a bite and chewed it slowly. She loved eating fish.


 
The twin's voices echoed loudly through the cafeteria making Tame flinch, and that look that Roku had given her chilled her to the bone. Every fiber in her body was telling her to run back to her room with her books. But Nowi held her to her seat and she couldn't move.

Nowi didn't like it that she was being ignored, nor did she like it that Tame was terrified; both of these making her frown and her heart sink. She could now hear the twins and Roku, the twins she could understand, but Roku? Didn't she save her from her Sisters wrath? Which reminded her, how was Roku still alive? Nowi expected to see her beaten to an inch of her life, not walking around. Later she told herself before placing her two soft and warm hands on each of Tames' cheeks and raising her to meet Nowis' eyes. "Tame, please, whats wrong? I don't like seeing you this scared..." said Nowi warmly, she expected Tame to be scared since she was normally timid around others, but this was a different type of fright.


Zara stopped abruptly, standing straight up and took out her cigarette, puffing out a cloud of smoke; as if she stopped caring for the fight, an obvious taunt; even if it was anger inducing as it showed disrespect to the opponent.

Em and Emma shared the food equally, smiling contently as they did so as they engaged each other with questions about their day so far and when they were going to meet up tomorrow, the two obviously did not like being apart for long. "Hows the fish?" asked Em curiously, the twins never trying fish before.

Maria narrowed her eyes in suspicion at Zara and kept her fists raised in a fighting stance; she wasn't going to let her guard down just because her opponent had stopped moving.


 
A low growl was forming because she knew Zara was taunting her. She was familiar with this fighting style; Allison had taught her everything there was to know about fighting techniques. She relaxed her muscles and stood up straight, almost mimicking Zara. She stood with her hands at her sides, inhaling a whiff of her rival's cigarette smoke even from their distance apart.

When Nowi lifted her gaze to meet her eyes, Tame calmed slightly, she felt safe with the skater girl. "Um, Roku she-" Tame couldn't find the words she was looking for.


 
Roku had the second fillet in her had when Em had asked her about the fish, it was salty but not too salty and warm and melted in your mouth. Instead of describing the flavor she loved, she silently offered Em the fish stick and smiled.

"What about her?" asked the girl calmly, trying her best to not press or force the girl into giving answers she didn't feel comfortable with. She radiated just pure warmth, the exact opposite of her sister.

Em and Emma both smiled at the offering before both taking a small bite of the fish and handing it back to the girl. They both smiled as they chewed, "Taste good" stated both the girls at the same time, loving the taste of the food; but preferring the taste of turkey.

Tame just sadly shook her head, she didn't know about how Roku had protected her from Zara, or how she had carried her to bed. All she knew was that they use to be close friends, but drifted after Roku confessed her love for her a couple years back. That look that Roku gave her was one she saw before, Roku didn't scare her, it was the look she gave that scared her. But how could she tell Nowi that? How could she hash out old feelings and put everyone through that again?


The pink haired girl shook her head and adjusted her glasses, "I'm okay," she mumbled. She looked back to her plate and was thankful that she had finished. She stood up and grabbed her plate before turning to Nowi and bowed. "Thank you for eating with me." Slowly she stood back up, "I'm getting tired so I think i'll retire to me room now." she spoke softly and walked over to discard her plate by the washers and left the cafeteria.





Roku smiled at Em, "We use to eat these all the time back home."


As Tame walked past their table, Roku sat up straight and her eyes followed her out the door. Her heart dropped, she could feel Tame's discomfort.

"Alright, take care" replied the girl as she got up with her and walked her over to the end of the cafeteria, she would have followed her all the way back; but she had to talk with Roku. Before Tame left, she shared another kiss with the girl; and like always, Nowi loved it. She waved goodbye to her before walking up to Roku and tapping her on the shoulder. "Hey Roku" started Nowi, "Thank you for protecting Tame from Zara, I am in your debt" stated Nowi sincerely.


Zara just smirked once more at her growls, she was truly like an animal; weak and easy to fight. Though she did add another slight nod of approval at her inhaling the smoke. "I hope you enjoy the free cancer" stated the girl stoically as she took another puff.

The twins nodded at her statement, so she came from somewhere near the coast or a river. "Where do you come from?" asked Em curiously as Emma started to eat her part of the pecan pie.

"I'm from-" Roku felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to find Nowi.


"Hey Roku."


"Oh," she sighed, "it's you." she said grumpily. Obviously not catching her tone because the girl continued.


"Thank you for protecting Tame from Zara, I am in your debt"


"Hmph." Roku responded, "So what are you two a couple now?" she sneered with her elbow propped up on the table, she leaned her jaw on her fist as she moved what was left of her rice and stew on her plate.

"New experiences are important in life," Maria replied just as calmly, expressing no further emotion. A sudden fatigue seemed to overwhelm her, then she remembered her bleeding wrist; it was leaving a nice puddle of blood on the ground. She frowned down at it and looked up at Zara again.

Nowi blushed a bit at the question, giving Roku her answer. "If you ever need anything, please let me know" replied Nowi with a light smile, she felt really bad for her having to stand up to Zaras' wrath.


Zara could tell that the girl was getting close to unconsciousness as her bleeding had been steady and pretty bad for a time now, she suspecting that she only had a few minutes left before flopping out. With that in mind she took her cigarette out and walked over to Maria before placing both of her cold rough hands on both the shoulders, using her fingers to tap a pressure point on the neck to temporarily paralyzing her for a few seconds. In that time she planted the worse kiss possibly imaginable on her lips, it was rough, forced, cold, it was like the phrase Every rose has its thorns, but she was more thorns then her rosey build. Her lips weren't chap, but it felt like a thousand thorns pricking you, that, and she bit into the girls lip, causing a bit more blood to come out.. Once she broke the horrible kiss she smirked at the girl while licking the blood, "Just like Nowi, does the pain arouse you weakling?" rhetorically asked Zara before headbutting the girl into submission. Zara then walked away, leaving her to her own fate.


Zara arrived shortly after Tame did, she kicked open the door and brought her Coffin into the room; setting it up against the wall. Right in the open, she stripped down her clothing and threw it into her Coffin, taking her time to do so. She walked into the bathroom and the shower turned on.

Em chuckled a bit at the girls blush before scooting closer to Roku, Emma following. "Come on""Don't leave us hanging" pressed the twins, completely distracted by their curiosity.

"Ok guys," gwen said, feeling like it would be forever before they started, "Noctis can you get on the other side of this?" She went over to the end of one of the beds, now nothing but a frame, and hefted it with a grunt, "And... whatser name? Can you stabilize it? i don't want it falling a part on us."

Roku stood up temporarily ignoring the twins and put a large hand on Nowi's shoulder. "Hey!" she shouted, "You want to know what you can do for me?" the redhead was angry, "If you care so god damned much about her then you'd be able to tell that she's upset. Or didn't you notice?" she sneered.


Roku was livid, from the look in her eyes, Nowi had no idea how upset Tame was.


**Flashback.....kinda**


When they were kids, the boys and girls would pick on poor Tame and because of all he bullying she became really shy. One day towards the end of grade school, Roku found a couple boys taunting Tame and making her cry. Enraged, the even tall back then redhead beat up the boys and offered Tame her friendship. From then on Roku has followed Tame around awkwardly from a distance. Roku started to develop feelings for Tame but was turned down. However that didn't stop her from following her to make she she was always safe.

Tame jumped as the door was kicked open and hopped up on her bed. It was Nowi's sister, Zara, and she looked irritated. Zara ignored that she had an audience ((or did she?)) and stripped off her clothing making Tame gasp and blush. She was frozen from shock and couldn't look away from the open display. Zara threw her shirt, boots, pants, socks and underthings on her coffin that she had placed uncomfortably close to Tame's own bed. The naked girl walked right past Tame's large eyes and into the bathroom. After the shower turned on Tame's fingers twitched and her voice came out in a fast high pitched squeak, "Naked"

Kiki brushed the back of her knuckles on Noctis' cheek and positioned herself as instructed.

Noctis tried desperately to lift the frame, finally getting it up to the level Gwen was holding it at. "Oof." she grunted, her arms already aching. "You better do this quick, Noctis can't hold this for long." she said, her voice strained with effort.

"Excuse me for not being able to get to her!" "EXCUSE ME for fu***** having her run away because of the twins! EXCUSE ME FOR TRYING MY BEST AFTER YEARS OF ABUSE!" yelled the girl, the similarities between Zara and Nowi finally showing before she clenched her fists and stormed away towards her room, tears running down her face as she went into her room and slammed the door shut; hoping in the shower in the matters of seconds.


Zaras' heavy music was blasting from the bathroom as she showered, even though it was death metal one did have to admire the music the band was playing itself. After a good 10 minutes the girl came out of the shower, still wet from the shower. She went over to her clothing, and took out a apple before biting into it and turning around to see the shy Tame, oh great thought the girl. "What's got you so spooked girl?" rhetorically asked the girl coldly, Tame wouldn't get away with not getting an answer.

Quickly Kiki slid over and lifted the frame from Noctis' hold, "Are you okay?" Lifting the frame was easy for her, and it was pretty stable. Gwen and herself could probably do this job just the two of them. However she wasn't sure how involved Noctis wanted to be involved in the project.

Roku watched the girl leave with disgust. Nowi didn't deserve Tame, Roku thought. She sat back down to collect her dishes and leaned over to kiss Em tenderly on her cheek. She didn't want Em thinking that she didn't care for her because of her actions surrounding Tame.


"I'm sorry you had to see that." she looked her in the eyes sincerely. "I'm tired, i'm going to go to bed." Before leaving Roku kissed Em on the lips one more time before leaving the table.

Tame was curled in her bed with her knees to her chest with her hands over her ears from the music. When Zara spoke to her, her hands slowly came down and she blushed with wide eyes and spoke quietly and quickly, "Naked"

"What, you haven't seen a girl nude before? It was bound to happen sooner or later" stated the girl coldly before finishing her apple and opening the Coffin; throwing her clothing in there. She walked into the Coffin and closes the lid, apparently she sleeps in a Coffin... Good luck with the nightmares!
