Eraldor 2100 (JacobLoL and Firetail606)

((Sounds good c: ))

Finally it was almost 2, so Allta rushes through the palace to get to the gates before they have finalized the shift change. She'd taken off all of her makeup, and tied her long brown hair into a side braid. She held her blue and green scarf tightly in her hands, hoping it wouldn't look absolutely terrible with her black skinny jeans and dark blue t-shirt. She had the same black flats as yesterday, since they're really her only shoes that don't make noise as she runs through the halls.

As she finally reaches the Guard's area, she does her silent count down before running down the ramp and toward the town as fast as she could, tying up her scarf as she runs. I really hope Derek actually comes tonight... Yesterday was so fun!

Cyrus sat on the balcony of Evirea's house, looking out towards to border between Eraldor and New Harpia. He missed the city, Eraldor didnt suit him. He sat there for a few more minutes before getting up and jumping own from the balcony. It was almost 2 am and the streets were still quite busy, did this city ever sleep?

Cyrus kept his ear piece in incase Rivea regained contact with him.

It only took him a few minutes to reach the palace, he knew he was supposed to meet Yvaine but he'd have to be a little late. He didnt plan on getting into the palace tonight, just to see what he was up against.

Allta runs straight to the same bench she was at last night, a bit saddened that Derek wasn't already there, but she soon pulls herself together and walks over to get some cotton candy for while she waits. After paying for it and walking back to the bench, she sits down and eats the fluffy goodness while staring up at the stars, still hoping that Derek would eventually show up.

Cyrus watched the guard rotation, there was about a 10 second window where no one was watching the gates, you'd have to be fast to make it in or out. Cyrus sighed and then walked off towards the bright lights and the noise of the carnival. As he reached the edge of the carnival he spotted Yvaine, sitting on the same bench he had first seen her sitting on last night. "Hey there" He said smiling widely as he grabbed her hand.

Allta's eyes go wide in happiness as she smiles, standing up and hugging him tightly, "Hey!" She pulls back and puts her hands on his shoulders, looking him in the eyes, totally serious with her net words, "Derek... Take me to get a tattoo."

If her parents wanted to tell her who she's supposed to marry, who to have children with, how to dress, how to speak, and how to show love.. She would at least decide for herself what goes on her body! "I've always wanted one, and now... I want you to take me to get one. Will you?" She asks, hopefulness evident in her eyes. She trusts Derek, and he makes her happy. This is something she wants to do with him.

"Eh, no" Cyrus said in response to Yvaine. Getting a tattoo was probably something she should ask her parents about, he didnt even know Eraldor allowed tattoos. Cyrus wasnt a very big fan of them, the only reason he got his was because of The Hand. "Why do you want one, they arent really that great" He said, rubbing his arm, the one with the tattoo at the thought.

Allta makes a pouting face, "C'mon, Derek! You've got one! I know someone who does tattoos..." She says, reaching down and taking his hand that has the tattoo, "Please? I'll be going either way ,but I don't want to be alone..." She looks up at him with her eyes big and her lip pushed out in her puppy dog face, "Pleeeease? I'll do anything.. I'll pay you, Derek..." She'd never really wanted a tattoo quite so badly until today. Of course she always wanted one, but... She wouldn't ever even so much as dream about begging someone she hardly knows to take her. But today her brother crossed a line, her entire family did. She wanted to show them that they're not as in control as they think they are.

"Ehh, i dont know.. Im pretty sure you have to be 18 anyway" He said rubbing his head, He saw the look on her face, ugh, why did she have to pull that puppy dog face.He let out a sigh "Tell you what.. if you still want one tomorrow and you can find some place that will let you do it.. ill go with you". Tattoos werent exactly permanent but they were expensive to remove.

"Until then.. wanna go on the ferris wheel?" He said jokingly laughing as he lead her towards the carnival.

Allta grins happily and nods to Derek, "Yeah! We can go on the Ferris wheel!" Of course she was, in reality, utterly terrified to even think about going on that wheel-of-death again, but if its what Derek wanted, then she would. "So.. What did you do, today?" She asks with a smile while the are on their way.

"I was joking" Cyrus said, he thought she would of noticed. "I saw that royal parade thing" He said with a slight look of distaste on his face. "You know how princess Allta is getting married to uh.. Prince Abram i think his name is, it was pretty boring" He said, and that was the truth, it was quite boring and pointless in his opinion. "Whatd you do?"

Allta chuckles and nods, "I was there too..my parents dragged me along." She didn't want to lie to Derek,so she figured she'd just leave out a couple parts... Then, she bites her bottom lip in a bit of nervousness while internally debating on asking him this next question. But before she can even properly think it through, it just sort of comes out, "So.. What do you think of Princess Allta?" She asks in a casually curious tone, though inside her heart was beating like crazy. Even though he has no idea they're the same person, she'd just inadvertently asked him what he thought of her...

((x.x Sorry my grammar was so bad in that last post... I was on mobile and it was lagging like crazy.))

"Really?" He wasnt surprised he didnt see her there, the crowd was absolutely huge, ""Uh, i dont know, she seemed pretty sad to me, like she didnt want to be there.. but i dont think anyone else noticed" Cyrus had a strange feeling that only he had seen that glimpse of sadness from the princess. "Must be awful, being forced to marry who your told too" Cyrus added, looking around at the carnival games.

A bit of panic had run through Allta's entire body, making her blood run cold for a moment when he said he could see her sadness during the parade. But she soon calms as he mentions he's the only one who'd seen. She wouldn't have put it past her family, James especially, to absolutely murder her if it was actually openly seen... Then, her mind properly registers the rest of Derek's words as she half smiles and nods, "Yeah... I mean, she'd only met the Prince once and that was over the last week. Then now they're set to be married? I doubt she even loves him, or he her.. He may even be one of those controlling, abusive asses, for all we know." She stops herself from talking. She couldn't vent to Derek, because if she were to say too much more it wouldn't be hard to put together the pieces she's oh so kindly laid out for him.

"Yeah, well thats the life of a royal i guess" He said shrugging his shoulders. He looked from Yvaine to rest of the carnival, there wasnt really a whole lot do that interested him. He gave a loud sigh "Still wanna get that tattoo?" He asked.

((sorry, bit short))

A smile begins to creep upon Allta's face, making her bite her bottom lip to keep it from growing into a huge grin as she nods her head, "Yes... I've wanted one since I was ten." She gently grabs his hand as she looks up at him hopefully, "Is that you saying that you'll take me to get one?" She asks, debating doing the puppy-eyes again, but then deciding against it as she doesn't want to tire it out. She may need it again.

Cyrus looked at Yvaine before leaning down and kissing her. He had a huge smile on his face as he moved his back "Yeah" he said winking at her. He knew that this would probably not go down well with the Hand, but they didnt really need to know, he'd be a hero and a legend in The Hand if he could actually pull this mission off.

Allta's eyes go wide as he kissed her, tingles running through her whole body. With the hand not holding Derek's, she reaches up and touches her lips, lowering her head a bit as a huge grin makes its way onto her face. "O-Okay..." Her cheeks burn as she knows there's a huge blush there, now, "Thank you." She says sheepishly, biting her lower lip once more as she holds back the urge to scream in happiness.

Cyrus laughed lightly at Allta's reaction and the huge grin that spread across her face. "So, lets go get this tattoo shall we?" He said swinging he arms slightly.

"Cyrus" Rivea's voice cut into his ear but then the line went to static almost instantly. Cyrus assumed they were still having connection issues.

((Time skip to the next day or tattoo parlor idk?))

Allta was standing behind the curtains in the Great Hall. Today was a press conference for her and Abram about their upcoming engagement, as well as plans for the future. Her mother had warned her that there would also likely be many questions about why she was out of the public eye for so long, and she was to tell them that she was ill.. Rather than the truth which was her family became incredibly ashamed of her. She reaches up and smiles faintly as she gently touches over her new tattoo.

It was done right below her collar bone on the left side. The baby blue butterfly outlined in black with small green swirls about it's wings faced toward her left shoulder. She'd decided on this particular design because it symbolized what she wanted. All her life she's been imprisoned to doing only what others want, her life shaped about by rough and rigid outside forces. But someday, she wished to be able to awaken from this long dormant slumber to become who she's really meant to be.

"Allta, stop your day dreaming and get out there!" Her mother hisses impatiently. Today she was wearing a fairly loose fitting turquoise dress. The neckline was a bit low for her taste, but because of the dress's flowing design it could be pulled up to cover the tattoo. The sleeves were long, down to her wrists, but they were lace designs so it wouldn't be too hot. She wore her grey flats along with a small black waist cincher which her 'stylist' decided was best to complete her outfit.

She takes one last deep breath before walking through the curtain being held open on the side by Abram who was oh so patiently waiting for her. And, with that, she walks onto the huge wooden stage, immediately bombarded with countless camera flashes, regulator lights, and little orbs floating around at all angles to act as the cameras.

"Ninety eight, Ninety nine, One Hundred" Cyrus counted as he finished his last push up. Strength was important to him as being number 3 on the nations wanted list was no place for a weak person. He pushed himself up from the floor, stretching. He thought about Yvaine, last night was great but he was still unsure what they "were". Were they dating or was it just "for fun", he wasnt about get the answer, instead everything was about to become that much more confusing.

"Cyrus" It was Rivea, this time there was no static

"Yeah?" Cyrus replied

"Turn on the TV" Rivea sounded rather impatient.

"Wh-"

"Just do it" She cut him of.

Cyrus looked at the wall, moving his hands in an outward gesture. Quickly a holographic screen enlarged.

Many newscasters begin immediately shouting out their questions, Allta looks out at them with a small, forced smile. It's Abram who luckily comes to her rescue, though... It's probably more likely that he was getting a headache as well from their constant noise. "Quiet down, everyone!" He shouts with a sternness to his voice which Allta had become all to familiar with these past few days. She swallows hard and fidgets a bit with the sleeves of her dress, the smile never leaving her face as she looks out at the crowd.

"Hello, everyone! Thank you for coming today!" She shouts out in a falsely happy voice, though the reporters were too caught up in the fact that the formerly missing Princess was finally speaking to notice. The orbs get closer, zeroing in on the area from her chest to the top of her head. As she fidgets a bit more in nervousness, the tip of the butterfly's wing shows. "If you'll all please wait and speak calmly, it'll be far easier for us to answer your questions.

Cyrus watched as the press conference about Princess Allta and Prince Abram appeared.

"I dont get why-" Cyrus started, he knew The Hand wanted him to do something involving the princess but he couldnt see how watching a press conference would help.

"Just watch" Rivea cut him off.

Cyrus sighed, folding his arms as he watched the screen. The camera focused on Princess Allta, something looked familiar in her face and then Prince Abram as he spoke to the crowd of reporters "Hello, everyone! Thank you for coming today!". The camera zoomed out so the two teenagers were in view.

Then Cyrus saw it, as Princess Allta fidgetted with her dress, the upper part of her tattoo, the blue butterfly showed. Then her face became alot clearer to him. Yvaine was actually Princess Allta without make up.

"You see, that girl you've been snogging for the past two days, is the Princess"

Cyrus imagined he probably had a look of shock and confusion on his face. He was in love with the Emperor's daughter?

As Allta waits for the guards to lower the ramp, she bites her bottom lip, excited beyond belief to be able to see Derek again. Yesterday she realized it. No matter how bad it is, she is in love with Derek. Not the one she's to marry, but the one she met while sneaking out.

"Seven... Eight... Nine... Ten..." As she remembers yesterday's kiss, and the way he held her hand while she was trying not to scream in pain from the tattoo, a soft blush comes to her face. "Nineteen... Twenty." And, with that, she runs down the ramp and begins tying the scarf around her head as she hides behind the protruding wall.

Cyrus leant against the palace wall, hidden by the darkness as he waited for Allta. America was truly over surviellanced, Rivea knew everything that he'd been doing and she knew how Allta snuck out at night.

Sure enough he heard fast footsteps on the ground and then Allta came into view.

"Hey there Allta, i mean.. Princess" He said smiling slightly.

Allta's eyes go wide in horror, afraid that maybe Abram or James had caught her. However, when she turns to see Derek it's far worse. Her blood runs cold, her jaw dropped slightly as she somehow manages to keep herself from trembling. "D-Derek..?" She asks softly, her fear obvious in her voice. What was he doing here?! How did he find out..? Did she accidentally let something slip? "Wh-What're you doing here..?"
