Eraldor 2100 (JacobLoL and Firetail606)

"Sure" Cyrus said smiling as they walked over to the holographic dart throwing.

"one dollar for three, two for seven" The man at the holographic dart throwing said rather unwelcomingly.

"Ill take three" Cyrus said giving the man the money. "Ladies first" He said handing Yvaine the holographic darts. He knew he could hit the bullseye easily but he didnt really want to show off.

Allta smirks, knowing that he's probably thinking about not wanting to show off, "Oh, how kind." She says teasingly before turning, and without taking even a full second to brace herself, throws the dart and hits the center of the bulls eye. She hears many people surrounding gasp in awe, or start muttering about how unladylike she must be, but none of it bothers her as she giggles softly and turns to Derek. "Gentlemen next~."

Cyrus watched Yvaine hit the bullseye almost without even aiming. "Impressive" he said as took the darts from her. Cyrus aimed for a second before throwing the dart in the exact same spot as Yvaine. He turned to see her reaction with a slightly cocky grin on his face.

Allta smirks, "I see you're also an expert dart-thrower?" She asks, resisting the urge to bust out into laughter because of the smile upon his face. "You know... I learned with real darts, those ones that they had before all the holograms. So I learned with the real weight, which is far more impressive than all this." She winks to him, acting all pompous and cocky because of the people walking by, giving her dirty looks for doing something so unladylike.

"Oh." She says, glancing behind Derek to shout at the two women wearing evening gowns who were walking by, "And screw you!" She shouts before once more smiling up at Derek, her green and blue striped scarf slipping slightly to once more reveal her face. Her brown hair flows gently away from her body as her navy blue tank top and blue skinny jeans stay plastered skin-tight. Her black flats now have a bit of dirt about them, giving them little splatters of brown as she tucks one behind the other, a nervous gesture she'd picked up several years ago, "Sorry.."She says, suddenly embarrassed for actually acting like that in front of someone.

"That was actually the first time i have thrown a dart" He said smirking "But your still better" he gave her a wink before she started yelling at two fancily dressed women who had given her dirty looks. "Cmon" He said laughing a little as she tried to apologize. He grabbed her hand as he threw the last dart which also hit the bulls eye. "Nice throwing" The stall owner said although he looked a little grumpy. Cyrus smiled and turned to Yvaine. "Pick something" He said gesturing to the alignment of toys but there werent just stuff teddy bears. Some were holographic teddy bears that acted real.

"Hey baldy! Pick me!" One of the holographic teddy bears yelled at Cyrus.

Allta holds back a laugh as the holographic teddy shouts at Derek, "Charming..." She says with a roll of her eyes. Then she looks over the hanging toys, biting her bottom lip in thought before pointing toward a stuffed cat. It was fairly small, but white with blue eyes, and it was "holding" a pink rose. "That's so cute!" She says, her eyes wide with her eyebrows furrowed together. "Derek, can you get that one? I just wanna keep looking at it!" She exclaims before wondering what she's doing and slowly standing straight again, as she'd leaned over the counter to point. She clears her throat, "Sorry... I honestly don't know what's wrong with me,today..."

"That one" Cyrus said to the stall owner pointing at the stuffed cat. He mouthed "Sorry" to the holographic teddy bear giving a shrug. He received a very profanity filled response. He laughed loudly taking the Cat from the man and handing it to Yvaine. "Cmon, lets go" He said taking her hand and walking through the carnival.

((Hmm, should we skip to the end of the carnival?))

((That sounds good :) That means... Time for the Cinderella moment! o; ))

Allta smiles up at Derek, "Thank you for tonight... It was really fun." She nervously glances up at the clock, seeing that it's nearing six AM which meant the guards would be switching soon, and she'd have to get back into the palace before they caught her. "Though, I've got to get home... My parents will be wondering where I've been off to if I'm not there when they wake up." She lies easily and convincingly. She slowly turns to walk away, hating that she'd have to leave him, "I'll be back out here at the carnival tomorrow night, if you'd like to meet up again... Who knows, maybe by the end of the week I can manage the Ferris wheel without crying." She teases at herself with a smile before waving and starting to run, realizing that time was going quite a bit faster than she'd realized.

"Hopefully" He said in reply to her comment about the Ferris wheel. He bit the bottom of his lip as he watched her run off. There was something really different about Yvaine, she wasnt a normal teenager just like he wasnt a normal teenager either, being part of a militia resistance group. Just as she left his vision a beeping sound caught his attention, it was coming from his pocket. He put his earpiece in and the call connected.

"Cyrus" It was Rivea

"Yeah?" He responded

"We need you to get into the palace"

"What? you've got to be kidding" He responded, there was silence on the other end

"Okay, how am i supposed to get in there without being shot on sight?" He asked

"The shift changes, theres around a 30 second window between each shift change"

Allta strips off her scarf as she approaches the palace, knowing that it would be fine if she's caught wearing 'street clothes' as her mother calls them, but a scarf to cover her 'prized' hair would be unacceptable. She sighs in relief as she reaches the area where the ramp would be about to come down. She glances up at the sun's position, which is how she tells the time when she isn't inside the palace or near a clock.

"Ten... Nine... Eight... Seven..." She smiles to herself as she quietly counts down, already giddy and excited for tomorrow... That is, so long as she's able to actually make it out on time. "Three... Two... One." Once more, on her cue, the ramp begins to lower, revealing from a separate pathway than the one she'd taken six guards to replace the ones walking farther into the palace. She nods to herself, coming out from hiding behind the protruding wall to run up the ramp. For some reason, the early morning's shift change always seems to take a bit longer than the 2 AM one...

But now's not the time to sit here and wonder why. Allta has to try and make it to her room, or at least to the inner castle, before her parents or James wake up...

After talking to Rivea for a few minutes they finally got around to where he would stay.

"There's a woman, Evirea, She's a retired member of The Hand, joined back in 2030" Rivea started

She gave him the street adress. "Does she know im coming?" Cyrus asked, not wanting to intrude on an old lady like Evirea.

"Yeah, we've given her the heads up"

"Okay then"

Cyrus was about to hand up "Hey - Cyrus"

"Yep?"

"Be careful.. ok?"

"Um, Okay"

Cyrus hung up, a little flustered by Riveas sudden friendliness.

Cyrus knocked hard on the front door of a small fancy looking house, it took over a minute for the old lady Evirea to arrive at the door.

"Ah, you must be Cyrus" She said walking back into her house while leaving the door open for him "Well, you look exhausted"

"I feel it" Cyrus said, he was quite tired and his off mission "date" at the Carnival had added to it.

"Well, you better get some sleep on the couch there, you have a big week ahead"

Cyrus mumbled "okay" before collapsing on the couch, he tried to think about the mision but his mind kept wandering back to Yvaine.

As Allta makes it back into the palace and toward her room, she hears someone calling her name behind her. She stops abruptly and turns to see her brother, "O-Oh... Hey, James! What're you doing up so early?" She questions, trying to be casual but failing miserably as her hands fidget nervously with the bottom hem of her shirt.

James narrows his eyes at her, "Where have you been? I've been up for an hour trying to find you, runt." Allta's eyes go wide but she lowers her head before he'd be able to see, "I'm.. Uh.. I've been outside, in the garden... I wanted to check out Momma's newest flowers." It's quite obvious that James doesn't believe his sister, but he doesn't get the chance to question her anymore because one of the servants runs over.

"M-Majesties... Your parents request your presence in the throne room." The young man tells us, obviously intimidated to be speaking directly to members of the royal family.

Cyrus fell asleep quickly and was awoken at around 2pm by the all to familiar voice of Rivea

"Cyrus" She said sharply in his ear. Cyrus opened his eyes "Mm, yeah" He replied in a muffled sort of way.

"Why were you at a carnival last night?"

Cyrus sat up, stretching, the sunlight shining through the uncertain windows hurt his eyes. "Uh, i was just trying to blend in you know?" He lied easily and convincingly.

"Really? Just trying to blend in?" Rivea replied and Cyrus had a strange feeling she knew he was lying.

"Yep" Cyrus said cooly. "Well, you need to focus on getting inside the Palace"

"Yeah Yeah, i know" Cyrus said as he stood up, it didnt seem lie Evirea was home.

"Inside the palace is where the shields and all of Eraldor's power is controlled"

"Inside the palace?" Cyrus found it hard to believe they would keep such advanced equipment in the royal families home.

"Well.."

"Well what?"

"It's 300 feet below it"

Cyrus let out a long and loud breath.

"And how am i-"

"The Princess" Rivea cut him off.

Allta slowly wakes up as a servant comes and knocks on her door. Likely it was one who has often helped the royal family, as it wasn't a hesitant knock. "Yeah?" She calls out groggily, her voice a bit hoarse with sleep. Strangely enough, it's the voice of her father which comes through the door.

"Allta! Wake up this instant you've slept the whole day away!"

Allta sighs, of course she has... She peeks one eye open to glance at the clock by her bed to show 2:00 PM.

"Today you will be reintroduced to the public. I don't want you embarrassing me so you're to get up now and go get washed, then a stylist and makeup artist will be in to actually fix you."

Allta silently mocks her father's words as she gets up and goes into her ensuite bathroom to wash up. Just to spite him, she takes an hour long shower before finally getting out and throwing a robe over her pale skin and walking out her bathroom door. Almost immediately she's attacked by two women looking absolutely flawless in every way with their hair up in tight buns, their faces blemish free, their eyes popping, makeup perfect, clothes wrinkle-free and pressed...

Compared to them, Allta felt insanely inferior... As she sits in their chair so they can do to her whatever they'd like, she finds herself zoning out and thinking of Derek... Why would he have wanted to spend time with someone as lowly as me? She thinks sadly to herself. In a way, she almost thought about just not going, tonight... But that'd be rude as all else, so she would.

But, for now, she has to focus on this... Being reintroduced to the public for the first time in years...

"The Princess?" Cyrus asked confused, he knew who the princess was, everyone knew. Allta. Although she hadnt been seen outside of The Palace for close to 5 years.

"Yes, today she will be reintroduced to the public" Rivea said, there was something strange about her tone.

"So? Do you know how many guards there'll be?" Cyrus replied. There was no way he could even get near any of the royal family in public.

"Cyrus, you've already m-" Suddenly there was a loud static sound and then silence. "I've already what?" Cyrus said loudly "Hello?"

The transmission was gone, He look at his forarm, tapping it to reveal the holographic screen. There was the roster of shit changes and even an in depth map of the Palace and each Royal family member. He looked at Prince James, air to the throne and rule of The United States.Ccyrus knew he was rude, arrogant and cocky, not exactly great qualities for the future emperor of the country.

After near three hours of makeup and hair, Allta felt as though her face was covered with a mask. The mass amount of hairspray in her hair made it stiff, and the under dress she wore left her little room to move with it's tightness, so she truly felt like a statue standing there...

"C'mon..." She mutters to herself, shivering slightly in the skin-tight white fabric which was meant to constitute as an elegant piece of clothing. This was one bit she'd never in her life miss about being the Princess... Well, about being out in public, anyway... She had to wear the most obnoxious clothing. Even now her nerves are on high alert in fear of what they may stick her into.

What? A corset this time? Six-piece ball gown? Skin-tight cocktail dress? Just... The anticipation is insane!

Then thankfully, as if on cue, the door opens to reveal the stylist walking in with a dress bag in her arms. "It took us forever to find one in your size, Majesty... You've really packed on the pounds these past few years!" She exclaims, making Allta physically flinch back at the harsh words. It's been five years... She thinks to herself, Of course I won't wear the same size clothing.

However, she's pulled from her internal sadness as the stylist walks over and taps her head up, "Look at me, Majesty." She says in a fairly rude tone before wiping off a bit of smudged makeup, then walking back to the bed and pulling out the dress.

It's needless to say with the way Allta's mouth drops, that she fell in love.

After looking online at the news, Cyrus discovered that Princess Allta, Prince James, The Emperor and his wife were all supposed to make an appearane starting at the Palace. Roads would be closed off and security would be at an all time high. It was to celebrate the appearance and the marriage to be of Princess Allta and Prince Abram of Russia who would also be appearing at the palace.

Cyrus rolled his eyes, he didnt really want to go see two spoiled brats who he didnt really like but he decided to go anyway as Rivea had mentioned something about Princess Allta.

Cyrus changed clothes quickly before leaving the house and heading off towards the palace. As he neared he could see the streets were flooded with people and police. The roads were closed too. He supposed that the royal family would probably appear soon and that the Russian royal family would be arriving. It was all for show, well thats what Cyrus thought. Prince Abram would probably say a few words to the princess and then leave, what a fun marriage. Cyrus pushed through the crowd, trying to get as close to the front as possible.

Allta sighs in exasperation as she's pushed through the thin crowd within the castle. She'd be upon the balcony when Prince Abram and his family arrived, so... She'd have to proceed immediately with acting like she's in love; how fun. Right now her overbearing mother was ushering her to the balcony, as she'd be the last one to address the public, though ,there shouldn't be this huge rush.

Her green dress was tight at the top, it had one thin strap on her left shoulder but her right was bare. It stayed skin tight down to her waist where it flared out and gave her legitimate room to move about. She'd even played around a bit with the skirt and spun, making it flow beautifully. Despite the shimmering green corset on her waist, this is an absolutely gorgeous outfit. Her feet were in 3 inch high black heels, but it's not too bad.

Her stomach begins tying up in knots as she sees the doors to the balcony before her. "Mom.. I don't want to go out there..." She begs quietly to her mother, a few tears coming to her eyes. What if she messed up? No doubt James would find some excuse to beat her for it... However, as usual, her mother doesn't seem to care at all as she pushes her only daughter through the doors.

And now she could see that all eyes were on her. Suddenly it felt as though a thousand pounds of pressure had been dropped onto the young girl's shoulders. Her makeup felt heavier yet, making it feel like her face was being dragged down while her pinned up and curled hair tickled the back of her ears in the most irritating of ways. She takes in a deep breath, trying to stop all that as she glances down at the crowd. Her father and brother should have been out here by now, so.. Where are they!?

Cyrus pushed his way to the very front of the crowd just as The Queen and Princess Allta stepped out onto the balcony. The huge crowd erupted with claps and cheers, except for Cyrus who just stood there looking up at the balcony, he saw a few police officers and members of the crowd look at him disapprovingly, he must of stood out. Cyrus could see Allta clearly but due to the heavy makeup and also the distance he couldn't tell that she was the girl he had met at the carnival last night.

Why am i here watching a bunch of snobs stand on a balcony

Cyrus noticed the crowd turn their heads, sure enough, down the road The king of Russia, his Queen and his two sons, eldest of which was Prince Abram were walking slowly down the road towards the palace with a huge escort of armed guards. Cyrus looked with distaste at the family. He couldn't wait to get out of there and see Yvaine tonight - I mean, complete his mission.

Allta accidentally finds herself scrunching up her nose in disgust as she sees Abram and his family, which she quickly changes to an elated smile as she joins in the clapping herself. Her mother flicks her shoulder blade as a way of telling her to stop before she leans in close and whispers, "I don't care if you're acting for it, a Princess does not clap for another." Allta stops immediately, lowering her hands. And though she has the urge to lower her head in shame as well ,she doesn't dare as she keeps it up and watches all the way until the Russian royal family is within the castle.

It's only then that James walks out, dressed in a military dress outfit. How fitting... Considering you've never served even a moment to protect anyone... Allta thinks to herself with a roll of her eyes at her brother. However, she does decide to listen as he begins addressing the people down below.

"People of Eraldor, thank you for joining us today! Today we're here to celebrate the joining of my sister, Princess Allta, and Prince Abram of Russia!" He pauses to allow people time to cheer before he begins again with a long speech about how our union would bring great profit to both countries, in more ways than just of monetary value.

When it's finally done, it's my turn to address the crowd. However, my mother holds me back muttering something under her breath about having to wait for Prince Abram.. Apparently a Princess can't do anything without her betrothed attached to her hip.

The Russian royal family waved at the crowd on both sides of the road, Cyrus thought he made brief eye contact with Prince Abram and maybe he did, but it didnt really matter. Cyrus watched and listened as Prince James made a very rehearsed and boring speech about the two countries and his sister and blah blah blah. The joining? it's not like they were getting married right then. Cyrus didnt really care. Cyrus felt a little sorry for the princess, she wouldnt of had any say in the marriage and its all being done for political reasons.

After Prince Abram and his family entered the castle Cyrus knew that there would probably be a few more speeches before the two families came back out and would walk back down the road together, it was a ceremonial thing and the press would love it.

After the parents on both sides address the gathered population of Eraldor, it's supposed to be time for Abram and Allta to take their own stand at the front of the balcony and give a speech. However, as they'd first walked out he'd informed her that they'd be simply meant to show their "love" before going back down to walk the street. So, as her father concludes it all, she smiles up at Abram before standing up on her tip-toes and pecking his cheek lightly.

After many claps and cheers from the audience below, Allta and the rest of her family make it off the balcony and into the palace once more where James walks over and slaps her face hard, making her head snap to the side as a pained gasp escapes her lips, "You were meant to show your love, you dunce! Not kiss his cheek!" She lowers her head, holding back tears as she simply nods. A woman for makeup quickly rushes over and covers up the spot where she'd been hit, making it practically invisible before we all make our way downstairs and begin to walk through the street, her holding hands with Abram as guards surround them.

Cyrus stood swinging his arms at the front of the crowd, this was boring. Why was he here?

He was about to turn around and leave when the crowd erupted into cheers and claps again as the two royal families walked out the castle entrance with the king and queen from both countries in front. Prince James after them and then Prince Abram and Princess Allta behind. Arm in arm. Cyrus looked on as the family neared his position. He looked at the heir to Russia's throne, he had a snobby and proud look on his face as he looked briefly in Crus's direction.

Allta briefly scans the crowd, hoping that no one would actually catch her gaze as she knows it'd be one of sadness. She also hoped that the mark upon her left cheek had been properly covered by the makeup, as it'd be quite suspicious if the Princess were to have a hand mark upon her face... She keeps a forced smile as she waves at the 'commoners' as her mother so politely addresses them, her eyes finding Derek's for a moment. She gasps silently and quickly averts her gaze to another, hoping beyond hope he didn't recognize her.

Cyrus watched the families pass, he noticed the forced smile on the Princesses face and for a split second he saw her expression turn to sadness. Cyrus frowned and decided he had had enough of watching the royals. He turned and pushed his way back through the crowd. He looked back one last time and briefly caught Princess Allta's eyes. A feeling familiarity shot through him for a brief second before he looked away and continued through the crowd back towards his accomodation.

((time skip to tonight?))
