Episode 2: The Wolf of New York

Bonnie and Clyde

"WHOO!"  Bonnie exclaimed as she helped Clyde hoist a box of weapons up to empty their contents into the Hudson river.  "Awesome Bonnie, my girl!  That's the last of the weapons!  We have saved the lives of many innocent people who might have been hurt by these weapons!  HAHAHAHA!"  Clyde said in the cover of night, posing proudly.  "Clyde you're so awesome!"  Bonnie threw a fist up in the air.  "I couldn't have done this without you, Bonnie!  We're officially heroes now!  Hahaha!"  The two laughed next to the river and danced around like idiots.  Bonnie looked down at the murky waters below.  "What if someone find the guns and uses them somehow?"  She asked her counterpart.  Clyde chuckled.  "Silly Bonnie!"  He laughed.  "Fish don't have trigger fingers!"  Clyde pat her head and she pouted as she thought about it.  Her frown quickly turned into a dopey smile.  "HAHAHA you're right, Clyde!"  Bonnie said as they hopped off the railing separating the sidewalk from the river.

A flashlight beam was suddenly locked on them  They both froze.  "YOU TWO!  WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE!?  FREEZE!"  A cop said as he pointed a flashlight at the two.  "D-drat... well Bonnie!  Time to hustle!"  Clyde said as he picked up Bonnie and ran away carrying her like a princess.  "WHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"  Bonnie laughed wildly as they ran away from the lone policeman.

"Fuhgettaboutit then, pal... Back the fuck off me!"  The guard shoved Eddie back.  "You askin me a favor.  I work for a security company and you're here askin me to hand over the tapes to you?  You gonna be all rude and knock my teeth out!  Ha! Screw you, I ain't givin you our tapes, you ain't no police and you ain't got no warrant.  Back off of I'll call the cops... Tell them you've been snooping around in their business..."  The guard stared Eddie down.  "Scram, ye rat!"

"I see. You've chosen to be difficult and put your hands on me." Eddie said closing his eyes. He took a deep breath and this eyes turned neutral. "But, I won't beat your ass in front of all these people. It wouldn't be worth it anyway. Probably wouldn't break a sweat." Eddie pulled out a single 50$ bill and handed it over to the man. "
Now, the tape."

"That's more like  it, pal..Thank you."  The guard looked around to see hat nobody was watching and took the money.  "Come on, lets go to the security room..."  The guard pat Eddie's shoulder and led him to a door saying "Employees Only".  Inside were a bunch of video monitors that show footage from cameras all over the mall.  "Gotta understand pal, I'm risking my job here to help you... they're not paying me enough and cash really helps me make my little niece's Christmas a little brighter, hope you understand..."  The guard got a flash drive and plugged it in a desktop  The flash drive had many video files labeled by the area they're taken in.  "Here ya go pal, enjoy... don't take too long... my manager might come over, and If he does, I can't save your ass..."

((To see footage from the Pet Store at around 9:30PM))

Just bunch of customers looking at animals through the glass display.  Nothing really unusual here.

((To see footage in front of a bathroom at around 9:30PM))

Line is kinda long for the women's restroom.  Nothing unusual though.

((To see footage of the entrance at around 9:30PM))

A large dark figure burst through the automatic doors (not shattering them, but passing through them).  A bunch of Black Friday shoppers saw the creature and screamed.  A lot more didn't notice the creature at all and kept on shopping.  The creature ran through the many crowds into the edge of the frame.  A blonde woman in black came in a few minutes after only to be blocked by some shoppers who kept on shopping to get the best deals.

((To see footage in the first floor of the entrance wing at 9;30))

This is the continuation of the entrance... but the creature was nowhere to be found.  Just a bunch of people running around looking for deals.

((To see the footage in front of Best Buy at around 9:30))

A panicked man holding what seems to be a bleeding arm ran through a crows of people into best buy.  He wore a thick green Jacket and jeans.  He frankly looks like a homeless man.

((To see footage of the women's locker room at around 9:30))

A woman entered... "HEY!  IS THAT WHAT YOU CAME HERE TO SEE!?"  The guard interrupted and closed the file.

Eddie watched the videos and made little thinking sounds to himself. He carefully examined the creature and the blonde woman that was chasing it. The creature was missing an arm and looked to be fleeing. The woman had a vicious look on her face and held a whip. Eddie was glad for the purchase he had made just that morning. "So, the creature with the woman in pursuit. From there the chase continues for a few moments before the two presumably lost each other." He played the footage from the front of Best Buy. "Then, this man appears. The jacket looks special, possibly one of a kind. Not many people wear one like that. His arm is missing on the same side as the creature's was. My guess is they're one in the same. From the looks of it, this is our suspect and he appears to be homeless." Eddie unknowingly kept motioning to the security guard as if he was his partner. After he finished his explanation, he realized what he was doing and clenched his fist until the knuckles were white. "I find this man. Then, I'll have found the creature. Might be good to start hitting up the homeless shelters around the city, but that would take a long time and there's no definite chance we'd find him. Can I have a still of his face right at this point?" Eddie stopped the video on a frame that captured the captured half of the man's face. "He's missing an arm, but that doesn't mean he's vulnerable. In fact it makes him more dangerous. He'll probably be in a fight or flight mindset. If nothing comes of the picture, the best is to track down the jacket. See where its made and if possible whoever has bought it recently."

Ah, bribery. Such beautiful dishonesty. Sunni wasn't about to go yelling and accusing them, though.

The world would be boring without all the bad stuff.

That voice was right, but Sunni really didn't want to think about it that way. The girl got up and stood a little closer to the Employees Only Door. This man seemed to be looking into the Mangler case... Well, Sunni was there. Perhaps she could help. Sunni sat against the wall, waiting quietly for the man to emerge from the room.

"Alright bud, I hope it helps..."  The security guard closed down the desktop as soon as Eddie printed a still of the man.  "Hope you got what ya wanted,"  He said leading Eddie out the door.  "Remember, this didn't happen!"

As Anastasiya watched, she saw who the man was, it was another vigilante. She did not know his name, but she knew his rep. So she thought about it for a moment, why would he be here at this kind of time. She watched as he bribed the guard and she immediately came to the conclusion. He must be after the Mangler as well. She wanted in on any info this may lead to, too so her mind raced to figure out how to get in. Looking around she found something, as it seems someone close by had seemed to have had stole something when they were younger, an unpunished crime. Her head darted around and saw blind spots she could get in from. So she looked back and saw the man again, she then began to concentrate as she took off her helmet, and then suddenly her body appeared translucent again. She made it work. Now she knew what she had to do. Moving unnoticeably, since she could still be seen normally she hit the blind spot and went through the wall. Now moving in the general direction they were in she saw the two go into the employee's only room, moving through the areas cautiously she went from the wall on her side through the next undetected. Then she set herself up to peak her head slightly out of the wall to see what was on the screen as it was showed to Eddie. She watched as he flipped through the footage, in one she saw the Mangler thrashing through the mall and herself in pursuit as she lost it in the crowd. She then saw one that was suspicious, she saw as a man with a bloodied arm, ran through the mall, he had a green jacket and appeared homeless. She remembered that her enhanced strength given from the empowerment driven by the vengeance of others to avenge their death's caused, when she whipped she actually took his arm off. This was most likely the Mangler, she mentally pictured him in her head and began devising on how to now track him from here and stop more murders from happening. Then as Eddie stopped, she poked her head back in the wall, and stepped out of the wall. She then began casually walking through the mall's halls as if nothing happened.

"Alright bud, I hope it helps..."  The security guard closed down the desktop as soon as Eddie printed a still of the man.  "Hope you got what ya wanted,"  He said leading Eddie out the door.  "Remember, this didn't happen!"

"Trust me. Every bit helps." Eddie said for a moment mirroring the old cop he used to be. Then, his face turned cold and he walked out. "Now, time to bag me a Mangler." He passed through the door and began to walk down the hallway. Where to start?

"Mister!"

Sunni said when she saw the man walk out of the building.

"Mister Sir, Mister Sir!"

The girl ran to catch up to the man.

"Can I help you?"

Sunni was pretty sure the answer would be a no, but she could argue.

As Anastasiya walked out, she glanced over behind her and saw that Eddie had walked out of the room, but then she saw Sunni was there. She raised an eyebrow at that but let that go behind her, as she brushed her blonde hair behind her and began now going in the direction where the man with the blood-stained arm went, odds are he left a trail to follow.

Eddie turned to the girl coming up behind him. "Help me? No. You can't." He was confused as to why the girl had asked to help him and with what was a mystery to him. Eddie spotted the blonde woman from the video. "Hey! You." He approached slowly making sure not to seem too threatening since he didn't know her full capabilities.

The girl sighed and followed him quietly, not caring if he would yell at her or not. Sunni was about to say why she wanted to help, but then she noticed that the man had gone to talk to Anastasia. Grinning in a silly way, Sunni followed.

Anastasiya turned around to see and hear the man call out to her, Pondering for a moment internally she knew if they were to work together they would probably get this done fast and efficiently, and they had similar morals, so they probably would not be too much of a nuisance to each other. She still was translucent to herself, and as she was doing this she was internally counting how much time would pass until she would go back to normal. And with her distinct Russian accent she said "Yeah? What is it?" She had an idea as to why he would now approach her, but she was going to act right now like she didn't eavesdrop.

"You were here yesterday. You chased the Mangler through the mall. Took a chunk out of him." Eddie said not saying anything both of them didn't already know. "If you're looking for him. Which I suspect you are. Might be easier if we work together. This beast won't be an easy mark to take down."

Sunni had at first assumed that this man didn't want to work with anyone. She stood corrected. The girl still silently stayed behind the man, looking up at Ms. Ana with a mischievous smile.

Anastasiya smirked as he mentioned that. "Ah that, yes I did... I actually had chased him out of-" She then stopped there for a moment. It's actually a long story, to say the least..." She nodded. "Yes, I am... I suspect you are as well, makes sense since when there's one vigilante after someone, there is bound to be more. That would work, but you may be walking into a situation that you may find blind. Would you mind following me, we can find somewhere more private to speak about this." saying it in a way that sounded sincere and trusting. She then looked over his shoulder to see Sunni following and having a mischievous smile. Then slightly regrettably, in a cold, more harsh tone than what she would have wanted to use said. "Don't go following us, you are too young, this isn't your fight to be fighting."

Sunni was somewhat hurt at the harshness of what the Russian woman said.

"I'm following." She said stubbornly.

For goodness sake she just wanted to come along and investigate, not actually fight. She barely even knew what she could do with her powers.

Eddie agreed with the Russian's sentiment in finding somewhere else to talk. When she addressed someone behind him, he turned around and saw the girl from earlier. "The hell, kid? Why are you following me?" Eddie shook his head at the kid. "Nevermind. Just go away."

Anastasiya was not visibly mad or anything, but internally she admittedly was getting irritated and annoyed. "No, you are not, you are going to stay out of this. You know what that damn thing is, and none of us want you to get hurt or killed, this is too dangerous for you."

"Yes, please go away stop following him. Go do something else with your life, being stubborn here is a fool's errand you are not going to be doing anything pertaining to this, unless Jim or someone else says so now go away." She added still in a still cold tone of voice to Sunni.

"I never said I was going to fight!" Sunni said.

She admitted that she sort of sounded whiny and immature, but she really wanted to join in. 1. She really had nothing to do, and 2. She could defend herself (questionable, actually).

"I'm going with you whether you like it or not." She continued.

It's not like I have any close friends or family who would be sad if I died.

Now that was a rather dark thought that Sunni shook away.

"I do not care, you do not know what the fuck you are getting yourself into. Even if we were to let you listen and follow us, you would have no purpose, you would be useless. The police and Jim are looking after you, they do not want you getting involved. Now go away!" Anastasiya was trying really hard not to get too cold and vicious with Sunni as she knew in her heart what she was going through, from a personal level. Yet she remained as cold as ever and was relentless and stubborn in it's chill.

Sunni wanted to complain more, but she went through the realization that she couldn't argue. The girl sighed and shrugged.
"Alright, alright, I'll go." Sunni mumbled.

She was frustrated, but she managed a smile and skipped away, going back to wandering around. She sort of made her way to the first floor and wandered her way to different stores. Window shopping, it was called. And it didn't fail to keep Sunni interested. The whole time she just smiled and skipped along, making multiple circles all over an area of the mall. If there wasn't something cool to see, she tried to find it. Eventually Sunni got bored of window shopping (which was funny, because she had only looked at one section of the mall the entire time) and sat down in one of the seats at the food court.

Bonnie and Clyde

The pair ran through a small park and away from the cop.  Clyde's foot ran into something causing the him to trip and fall along with Bonnie who he was carrying.  Bonnie's bottom landed on his back.  "Ow!"  Clyde let out a yelp as Bonnie fell on too of him.  "Oh Clyde!  You're my hero!  You caught me!"  Bonnie said as she got off him.  "Haha just as planned, Bonnie!" Clyde winced and looked at what he tripped on.  It was what seemed to be a homeless man with a rough beard.    Next to him was a green jacket with a USA flag on the shoulder.  A makeshift tourniquet was made around the arm that he seems to have lost.  He seems to be unconscious. "C-Clyde... He's hurt... S-should we help him?" Bonnie asked Clyde.  Clyde placed a finger on his chin in contemplation.

Mark led LA to the Police Station.  "Alright here we are,"  he told LA.  A young woman wearing a police uniform approached Mark.  "H-Hi Detective Hamilton!"  She blushed.  "I-Is the chief feeling better?"  She asked Mark.  "Yeah, he looks like he's doing better, he should be out by the end of this week!"  Mark told the young woman.  The woman sighed in relief and smiled awkwardly at Mark before running off.  Mark turned to face LA.  "My office is back there if you need me... if you need anything else, you know who to call..."  Mark smiled.

Lavernius observed the young woman with a smirk and looked at Mark for a few moments, a grin plastered on his face. "So.. who was that..?" He asked innocently. "Your girlfriend?" LA was here to find things out, but he couldn't just pass on this development.
