Airbourne disease is VERY DANGEROUS, like end game tier for diseases. Scenarios that use airborne really should require gas masks in gear tabs

Bodily fluids is the classic zombie, blood, saliva, other fluids, you could also do skin to skin contact. It could also be in the water.

Parasites like mosquitos provide good infection rates too

I'll give details for each.
Water: it's in the water cycle, meaning when it rains you're likely to be infected or drink in unpurified water presents that risk too.
Skin to skin contact: it is in the pores of an infected person's skin and will transfer by touch.

Bodily fluids fits best as it makes infected throw up blood and can spread through sneezing/coughing. Which are classic cold symptoms.

If you're looking for a scenario that is realistic, but not like doomsday level then perhaps have it spread similarly to the virus we're dealing with now, a.k.a spreading through coughing, sneezing, etc.
