Fantasy Entrance to 'The Rift' {Accepting!}

Jet proceeded to attempt to lock the ape in an arm lock, however all it did was anger the beast further. With an ounce of emotional strength, the ape lifted it's arms and would attempt to throw Jet towards Quinn. At this point, the ape was angry beyond the point of recovery to it's normal emotions. Soon it also began to stomp on the ground with it's right foot creating mini tremors that would hope to immobilize the fighters.

Jet wasn't going to be that easily defeated by an ape, and as he was thrown, he slammed his feet to the grounds, landing in front of the pirate. As he looked behind the pirate, he noticed a woman in the floor. God damn... Wow, that's next level... He took his swords again, he originally thought hand-to-hand was the better way to go for a lock, a bullet in the chest and a suplex. He turned and looked at the ape, as he ran to the side. "Hey MONKEY! Pick on someone your own size!" Jet shouted, now he wanted the monkey for himself, he wanted the monkey to fight him one versus one, for now, Jet was mad, and it was easily shown, his once calm demeanor changed, and he became a bit less strategic, this monkey had disrespected him by throwing him. Jet looked at the group. "You better not interfere!" He said, as he turned his attention towards the ape once more. "C'mon..." He prepared both swords diagonally, and if the monkey ignored him, he could stab it from the back in an exposed armor less area, so it was a win-win situation, if the monkey charged at him, he would close his two swords like scissors and cut its head off, if not, he would stab it.

All seemed to be going well for the two males whom were locked in conflict with the ape; her vision had cleared since her awakening in this strange new place and as each footstep brought her closer to the source of the battle, the clarity of which she could see also increased.

The ape appeared to be in great pain, and the incessant attacks from either side from the two men seemed to only spur the poor creature into a further fit of rage; the subsequent howl of pain seemed to reverberate through the air- filling her very core with the soul wrenching wail.

To others, it would probably seem as though the ape was only enraged though to Ludivine, whom herself was one connected to nature, the suffering of the beast was quite intolerable.

She'd resolved to aid the poor creature, wether that ended in its death she couldnt say, though she neednt have worried seeing as she'd barely had the time to process the thought when one of the two men suddenly collided with her, blown back by the force of the apes rage.

The wind was instantly knocked out of her, having been unprepared for the inpact and she opened her eyes to find the young man atop of her. She'd barely had time to register her own shock when he'd gathered himself to his feet and took off in pursuit of his wayward weapons, though not before leaving a smile and wink as a parting gift.

Ludivine was bewildered, and her sky blue eyes followed the young man as she raised herself steadily to her feet, brushing the dirt from her clothes in an attempt to regain her composure. The embellishments on her staff chimed musically as she raised the golden instrument above her head, pointing its decorated tip at the ape as she braced herself against the tremors shaking the earth.

A bright, blinding flash surrounded me, I started screaming having no idea what was happening. "H-Help!" I screamed as I felt and extraordinary pain coursing through my body. Just as I thought I couldn't take anymore, the light and the pain disappeared. I had broken into a cold sweat by the time I had appeared near two people that appeared to be hunting a large ape. "Stop!" I yelled, not being able to watch another creature be harmed while I stood idly by. Odd, white spheres appeared around me as i outstretched my hand towards the two men. Having no clue why I was doing this other than the headache that seemed to be hammering it's way through my skull, "I'm not thinking straight..." I mutter under my breath.

Toruk was lumbering through the forest in the direction of the sounds of battle.

Despite his best efforts he felt butterflies of joy dancing around in his stomach, trollkin loved battle, and try as he might he couldn't seem to conquer this primal pleasure.

As the excitement built within him,he impulsively let forth a tremendous joyful bellow. "GAAAWWWWOOOOOOO"

Birds scattered and his roar boomed through the air able to be heard for miles...

A savage grin spreads across his face as he runs.

Startled by the roar coming from the forest, I raise my other hand in that direction and more of the small white spheres appear. Tears were beginning to form in my eyes as I was not used to such stressful situations. "J-just leave the poor beast alone..." I say, almost unhearable through all the noise around me.

Soon the ape stopped shaking and examined the group with it's blue eyes. He looked straight at Jet and remembered him as the one that cut his skin. There was a slight breathing coming through the beast's nose emitting what looked like smoke. The beast then started to simply stare at the group, almost as if it was trying to get a read on the situation. As this was going on, the guardian looked at the fight with a slight curiosity on his face. "Hmm... so the ape is adapting I see. This will be good training for them, and I hope they will be able to adapt as well. The Rift is not a playground for even the best of fighters."

As he looked towards the group, it focused it's eyes onto Ludivine and Priscilla. It seems he has identified them both as weaker targets then Jet and Quinn, and soon made a mad spurt towards the two girls. He let out a fierce growl that scared off the wildlife around him, and prepared his right arm to create a big impact towards the two.

As the lumbering ape rushes towards me I twist my arm causing the strange spheres surrounding me to fire highly concentrated beams of ice. "I'm on your side!" I screech as the beast runs towards me, the wind suddenly reaching a sub-zero temperature as I edge towards losing control of my magical abilities.

A tree along the edge of the battlefield explodes into splinters as Toruk erupts out of the forest with a bellow

"GIVE ME GOOD FIGHT" he roars at the ape. Turning to the tree to his left,he utters a small grunt as he rips the roots out of the ground and hurls the tree sideways through the air at the ape.

He ignored me... Oh he ignored me... Jet's expression turned gloomy as he rushed at the beast from behind his 2 swords aiming at its back. "Die..." Jet said, as he kept on his rush and soon, got behind the beast, ferociously going for the killer stab, all the while regaining his composure. This must do it, this must kill it. Jet's enraged composure was almost unbelievable, he was mad, but he was calm at the same time, to him, this was normal.

Years of fighting large monsters for ransom had taught the Captain one thing. If a beast began to think, it was time to change strategy. Monsters were always always easier to kill when they were not in control. Quinn hadn't reached his blades when the monster started stomping tremors in the earth. Quinn's feet left the ground several times during the stomping, but he was able to balance himself enough to run toward his weapons; and then the beast stopped dead...

Quinn retrieved his blades and stopped as well, focusing on the monster. "Blast it, the creature's got a 'ead on its shoulders." He caught the flick of eye movement as the beast locked on target to the two women. The one he knocked down was pointing her staff toward the monster. "Aye, she must 'ave a few tricks." He began to slowly inch toward her, but the monster charged. Quinn broke into a sprint, not nearly keeping up with the ape. He felt he was close enough to get to her before the ape did.

Cabin-boy leapt at the ape with hell-fire in his eyes just as Quinn slid to a halt at the girl's side. "'ope you 'ave a plan love, I just cast my line with ya on this beast." He brandished his swords in front of him, waiting for an opening.

Ludivine sighed, it seemed as though the great beast had since turned its sights on herself and another female whom she'd taken no earlier notice of, though it seemed as though she was also a mage of some kind though no magi for sure.

She would be the first to admit that physical combat was not her forte, being far more proficient in magical arts though the situation seemed to call for a little more action on her part. Being a nature magi, harming a creature of the earth did not come easy to her, though being as this was a situation where she'd likely be killed for any inaction on her part.

Ludivine waited for the last possible opportunity, managing a slight glance at the young man who had flown quite spectacularily into her; the beast seemed a mere hairsbreadth from her own self when she moved; first her feet seemed to dance to the side, the flying tree trunk narrowly missing her slight form, her tangle of long blonde hair seemed to float around her face as she leapt calmly into the air, the bare soles of her feet grazing the apes forearm as she raised her pointed staff high above her head, the steel glowing with an ethereal light as she brought the cold steel down hard, its tempered steel threatening a brutal blunt force blow.

The ape received blows from Ludivine, Jet, Prisccila, and the tree thrown by Toruk. It had taken heavy damage and was thrown back a few feet away from the group. There was a struggle for him to keep his balance as he was bleeding from all sides, and his rage did not look like it was subsiding. Once more it emitted a very loud battle cry, and kept on its rage beating it's chest with both of his arms.

Sakura watched as the gang fought the ape and clutched her fists. "This is for you, mom and dad" she muttered Sakura ran and punched the ape in the face when he was beating his chest. She took deep breaths and stared then she realized what she has done. "Oh shit..." she whispered

@YoungX

The beast stopped with its cries and looked intensely at Sakura. There was a moment of absolute silence, and it feels like even the slightest bit of noise could break it. Right now it was almost as if the two were staring at death themselves, and the atmosphere turned into a different flavor. An intense, yet quiet mood griped the forest. Anyone of them could make a move, but there was nothing occurring.

I stare in terror at what I had just done. "O-oh my god..." I cover my mouth with my hands and begin to move towards the wounded beast. "I'm sorry.." Uncapable of healing, instead I settle on numbing all the wounds, limiting the pain it feels.

Toruk had been running ever since he threw the tree. He was half way there by the time the tree hit,as the beast staggered he grew closer and then it made the mistake of stoping to beat its chest.

He closed the rest of the distance and attempted to swat the girl out of the way before driving all of his weight into his shoulder aimed at the beasts face.

Not having noticed the giant of a troll rushing towards me, I scream in terror as it hits me on the side with a large crack, my arm hanging limp as I am knocked several meters away by the force of the impact.

Soon the ape was being pushed back by Toruk, and it went flying a few more feet back. The weight that created the impact had immobilized the beast, as it was now weakened even further. It attempted to stand back up, but to no avail it was unable to. The ape simply decided to just stay down on the ground accepting it's fate. Death would come knocking on the door, and soon the ape would find everlasting peace.

Jet had been able to dodge the beast before getting crushed by it. "Ahh fuck that bullshit, you guys die, I'm getting myself out of this alive. This beast has some sort of cosmic power I don't want to know about and besides, I don't like being in teams anyway" He said, as he sheathed one of his swords he walked to the left, where he had told the pirate to go the 1st time. He didn't feel like fighting a godly beast ape. Jet always knew when he couldn't beat something, so he wasn't going to try to beat that something, especially when it's out of his league.

His whole calm mood had faded as he threw himself on top of the fauna near the place and he inspected his sword, it was covered in beast blood. He quickly ripped a large leaf out of it's weird plant and started cleaning it.

Riptide held tight to the beautiful bird, but soon felt bad for making it feel uncomfortable. He was about to put it down, but a massive beast burst forth from the gate.

"Huh, maybe we can get a cool monkey friend here too?"

But no, some stupid kid had to go in and ruin everything and started to attack the beast.

"No, no, what are you doing?!? Why are you attacking it, it hasn't done anything wrong!"

Then one by one everyone else started to attack it, but were only making it angry.

"Ugh, humans, I'll never get you..." his voice trailed off as everyone kept stabbing, shooting, and doing god knows what else to this poor creature.

For all they know, it could've been friendly and only wanted help or something. I guess we'll never know, as it's not even a fair fight, like 18 people versus one animal just didn't seem fair. He sighed, "It's never easy with these people is it? Always fighting, always killing." He whispered softy to the bird. He bent over and placed it gently on the ground before getting knocked over by the sheer force of the creatures punches to the ground. He decided to stay back for a little longer because more and more people appeared to try and kill the ape and he couldn't help but feel sorry for it.

Then something unimaginable happened, most of the party was in close proximity to each other. This was his chance. He slowly but surely walked over to the group as the thing thrashed around at them. He stepped in between the two fighting forces and looked over at is "comrades", who he wasn't to fond of at the moment and extended his arm towards them. As he did, a rush of water appeared from his feet and slammed into them, hoping to knock them down. Then he stretched his other arm in the beast's direction. This time however, instead of the water rushing from Riptides feet, it instead pooled under the beast's feet. Before it could really react, the earth beneath it formed into a thick sticky mud that slowly started to suck it down under. It thrashed around trying to free itself, but to no avail. It was up to it's torso in mud, and it struggled to move its arms through the earthy goop. Once Riptide thought it was safe, he approached the creature and sat just out out of it's reach as it tried to swipe at him.

"Now that that's all settled, I must say that I'm quite sorry. Not just for me, but for my acquaintances as well. It seems they don't know how to handle themselves, really. I think we got off on the wrong foot. I am known as riptide, who might you be?"

Riptide put the bird down and watched a big monkey walk through the gate. He stared as everyone attacked it. They killed it, and Riptide just shrugged his shoulders. Sure he could have done something, but why bother, right? It's not like he could've done anything anyways, or something.

I lie completely still, clutching my arm and biting my lip in an attempt to hold back the screams of absolute pain. "God, I wish I were stronger" is the the only thought going through my head as I fall into the dark void of unconsciousness.

Sakura started to sweat and take deep breaths. She looked around and started to realize the strange faces in the group. She wiped the sweat from her face and cracked her knuckles "What now? What's our prize? Nothing?" She said as she look around.

Toruk walks over to the felled ape.

"Rest brother,live on in me."

With a solemn face he drops his weight on the apes head to end its pain.

He then sits by the body and begins to eat,his back turned to the others.

Ludivine took no pleasure in the beasts pain, her right hand gripped the front of her robe as her left held tight to her staff, its many ornaments chiming together as she strode away from the great ape, a silent prayer forming between her lips as she wished for his swift deliverance from this torment.

As she passed by, she took notice of the mage woman from earlier, she seemed to be a novice, quite inexperienced by the looks of the ghastly positioning of her arm. A soft sigh escaped the magi's lips and she knelt down next to the girl, laying her golden staff on the damp earth beneath her as she prepared to examine her wounds.
