The two hung their heads and whined.

"I-It's nothin', uncle Grizzly." Malvo tried to assure as Dipper whined.

"Wefoundsomething."

Malvo widened her eyes and looked to Dei-Loki. "Dipper!"

Dei-Loki whined. "Y'know I suck at this worse than you do!"
Graham blinked, acting shocked, "found what?"

Dipper opened his mouth to speak before Malvo quickly covered his mouth.

"Nothing!" Malvo exclaimed, Adrian and Zuzana watching a bit farther back.

Graham pouted, "but i thought you two were my spud buds. D-Did you lie to me? Do you not trust your big uncah gwizzy?"

((Champions of the guilt trip, indeed.))
Malvo's lip quivered as she hugged Dipper tightly to her, hand still over his mouth. "We-- NO! Well. . ." she whined. "We can't say!"

Dipper gave an added, muffled response that couldn't be understood.

(XD years of practice)

Graham's pout increaed into a frown, "so you are hiding something from me? Did I hurt you in some way that you can't tell me the truth?"

Malvo whined loudly, and hugged Dipper eeeven tighter, causing him to flail from the lack of air. "Stop! It's not like we don't want to, we just. . . we can't!"

Graham's lip quivered, "why not!? Do you not love your Uncle Grizzly!? That's it, isn't it!? You hate me." A forced tear left his cheek as he wiped it.

Malvo teared up at this, Dipper freeing his mouth at least from the hand. "HugmetighterIcan'thandletheguilt."

Though Malvo loosened her hold so Dipper could breathe, anyways. "Don't cry, uncle Grizzly!" Malvo whined.

"We could never hate you." Dipper whined as well.

Graham looked to them with redden, tear eyes. "Then why are you lying to me?"

"We're. . . info-digging first." Malvo clarified and whined again at the look.

Dipper nodded and pouted, whispering once the grizzly was close enough. "We found a book of dad's and we're trying t' decipher if it's real or not."

Graham blinked before whirling to Adrian with wide eyes. He then looked back to the twins, "please tell me y'didn't read anything in that book!"

Adrian tensed almost instantly at this and furrowed his brows as his face went a ghostly white. "Please tell me y'both didn't. . ."

The twins hesitated, looked to each other and then to the adults of the group. ". . . Noooo?" The said in sync as Adrian brought a scaky hand to his cheek.

"How much?"

"Enough t'learn some family stuff." Dipper stated, inches from sinking into the shadows.

Graham ran his hand through his hair, "shit!" He then looked at the twins, "do you have the book on you?"

Malvo nodded. "Yeah, we--."

"Hand it over." Adrian commanded, pitches of fear as well as anger in his tone. "Now."

The two hung their heads before Dipper took the book out of his jacket before handing it over, both of them hanging their heads whenAdrian ripped it from Dipper's hands.

After Adrian checked the book over, he then sighed and looked to his kids with a glare. "I don't want either of you touching this again, you understand?"

"We were only curious." Dipper whined.

Graham nodded, "we know you two were curious. But y'gotta remember, curious killed the cat. Your curiosity always leads you two in trouble, does it not?"

"Y-Yeah, but. . . W-We're not cats, though. . ." Dipper pouted as his stuttering state returned to him. Malvo furrowed her brows and she looked back and forth between Graham and Adrian.

"How else were we supposed t' find out? Huh? What're we supposed t' think when we come across a book like that, which contains information over something we should've been entitled t'know, in the first place!?"

"Malvo--" Adrian stared.

"NO! Someone answer the questions we have because it's all out in the open, now!" Malvo glared to Adrian in particular. "Is what that book claims true, dad? Y'a devil?" Malvo continued to glare as Dipper sighed and glared to their father, as well, who looked like he was close to exploding.

Masaru appeared from his shadows, grabbing his shoulder, "at ease, Adrian. Don't wanna implode on your children." He then let go of Adrian's shoulder before walking over to them, his tail zipping from behind him and wrapped around the book before ripping it from the twins and gently placed it in Adrian's arms. He then sighed before looking to the twins, "and if he was the devil, so what?"

Adrian exhaled, silently thanking Masaru while he'd been given the book. He'd then take a step back to breathe.

Though the book was taken, Malvo stood her ground and stared up at Masaru. "All we wanna know is if it's true, or not."

Dipper, in the meantime, did his normal idolisation of Masaru before he snapped out of it enough to speak. "I don't wanna argue with a handsome creature like yerself, but I agree. We've the right t'know."

Masaru smirked before looking to Adrian, "it's your choice. You tell them. . . or i. . . y'know, mess with their memory."

Adrian bit his lip in thought brfore turning his head to Zuzana and the rest to see what they thought. "Is telling them wise? I don't wanma trust my instinct right now since the beast in me is currently on fire."

Zuzana pondered the thought while biting her lip and looking to their kids. Through this act, she spoke to Adrian. "Remember when they were little and asking questions about what y'were, and you chose to hold off the truth until they were older?" She turned that golden/orange gaze to Adrian and offered a sad smile. "Maybe this is the time? . ."

Reaver nodded in agreement with the two, Adrian giving a sigh as he looked to Masaru while heading back over to the kids. "Save yer abilities, I'll tell them."

Masaru nodded, "as you wish. Good luck to you."

Adrian nodded in return before looking to the kids and sighing. "Alright, yes, it's true. Hit with as many questions as y'need."

Zuzana smiled softly as she watched before handing off a can of sardines to Masaru with a auiet "thank you" that followed.

Masaru's eyes zoomed towards the can before taking it gently from Zuzana's grasp and then opening to pop a fish in his mouth as he nodded.
