Fantasy Enemies of Eternity. (Not accepting)

Maya ignored Miles' question for a few seconds and she noticed the crowd was moving somewhere else, injections she would presume. The place gave her nightmares for the next few days, probably because she was one of those rare people who accidentally took a lil' peek at the dead bodies. People who weren't lucky enough to gain the powers the rest of us have. She looked over at Miles, and wondered if he would meet the same fate. Would he be one of those dead people Maya saw by mistake?

Maya quickly shook away these dark thoughts and smiled quickly. "Oh! The list?" She asked rhetorically and looked over at the brown board. "That's the roommate list. And that..." Maya stopped her sentence for a second and dragged the slim finger through both of their names. "That means that we're roommates," She said with the fake happiness she used a couple seconds ago. Miles seemed distracted however. And without a second thought, he walked towards the place where people would receive their injections. Maya frowned shortly, he would do it sooner or later, but the thought of his new roommate dying upon a few minutes of meeting him frightened her.

To lazy to walk, Maya manipulated the ground so she would get there both faster, and without using as much energy. Stopping abruptly at the entrance of where you take the shot, she waited in anticipation. One minute of worry. One minute of mental chants, saying, "C'mon. Live. Live."

Stella Arero

She was still shaky. But something was stirring inside her, something that hadn't been there before. She felt powerful. Like something inside her had been awakened. She looked the same, or so she thought. Her fingertips had turned a darker shade - almost black. As she walked, any lights that Stella passed flickered. Her eyes flickered just the same - a bright purple, and then her normal, blue eye color once more. She felt wrong, yet right. Somewhat.. tired. As if it was nighttime around her.

Making her way to the board mentioned earlier, Stella only needed a quick glance from slightly afar to see her name and her room number. Room number 1. Heh. How interesting. There was also the name of her roomate, Yamamoto, but Stella didn't care. She wasn't about to go shouting this girl's name out like some other people here. She had some boxes to unpack, and she wanted to get settled in. Stella didn't often take naps, but honestly, she'd never felt so strange.

Look at this. Look at where she was. A place filled with people that were not just people. Superhumans. Training to fight in a war against unstoppable beings. And he watched as a boy and a girl talked on a bench, smiling and laughing, the sun shining everywhere around them. And she thought, how could they be so.. at peace? Each one of them.. they all surely had been hurt by Gatekeepers, somehow. And yet there was still light, and hope in their eyes.

She wondered how they did it. For there was no hope left in her.

~

Stella had moved her boxes up to her new room. Since it was room #1, carrying her boxes wasn't a big deal since it was the first door. And she didn't own very much. She'd finished unpacking in just a little while, and laid down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. She.. Couldn't really sleep, although she wanted too.

The lights has flickered when she'd survived the injection. That was her, right? So what did that mean her power was? The ability to turn lights off? That would be incredibly useful.

All that was left to do was wait for her roommate to come in before her time at the Academy truly began.

@CloudyBlueDay

Kei nervously approached her new room, where she will be staying for the rest of her school years unless her roommate dies in an accident during training. Her previous roommate is. Another girl from Japan, to be honest, Kei doesn't remember much about her. Maybe that's what people think about too when she died. Carrying a box with all belongings inside, and luggage that contains her clothes and undergarments, she stopped in front of her new room. She didn't recognize the name of the girl who will be sharing a room with her. No doubt, a Pawn.

She knocked on the door and push it open slowly.

"Sumima- Eh- Uh- Excuse me?" Kei peeked inside. A girl is lying on one of the bed. "Room 1?"

When the orange hair girl finally walked away, Elian realized how lucky he was that she hadn't noticed him staring. Except even with her out of his immediate presence he couldn't stop his eye from trailing her like dolphins after a ship, watching in awe as lights flickered slightly in her wake.

In a continued sense of wonder he took a moment to look around him. The students that were coming out of the injection dome were...well...more than just alive. They seemed invigorated with a new sense of
life. Some were physically altered, or wore their powers on their sleeves like one gruffy-looking boy, reminding Elian of the kinds of people who used to hang around his apartment, who left behind him a trail of ice like footprints. A few of the newly reborn were getting a bit too comfortable with their powers, throwing puffs of flame or raising hills out of the Earth. Yeah. No. Not wanting to become a bystander causality of a child's game, Elian, his body feeling much more his own, quickly got a move on, following where many of the other students seemed to be heading. He couldn't help being a bit disappointed that he didn't have any lights flicker in his path, but superpowers were only a bonus prize for his true reason for coming here. And he had to have them, somewhere, so they'd show up sooner or later. Probably.

More importantly...

Finally! I can find the RHG!

But the words he caught off of some of the others in the herd caught his attention.

"So, did you see who your roommate was yet?"

"I hope mine is a Rook! With these powers I'll definitely be kicking some Gatekeeper a--"

"Hey," Elian butted in before he realized what he was doing, "what's this about roommates?"

The two assumed friends looked at him blankly. Didn't he know? Hadn't he been paying attention during the orientation?

No, he had not. Because he's been too busy packing in corn dogs and staring peevishly at the RHG's back.

Roommates, huh?

Since Lyre disappeared Elian'd been living on his own. He wasn't sure if he was ready to pick up the torch again. Well, there was no way around it. Hopefully his new roomie was as easy to get along with as his last...

Well, maybe not
quite so easy......

For once momentarily distracted from the RHG, Elian managed to miss her completely as he walked up to the board listing all of the new couples. Though her face did briefly pass through his mind. If only he knew her name then he could easily note her room number and track her down again whenever. Maybe a friend of hers was around...?

Before he could ask, however, his casual eye caught the flicker of one 'Elian Solberg,' and across from it...

"Simon Randon. Room 18."

Well, that was something, at least. He'd noticed that many of the roommate pairs who had gendered names he could distinguish had been guys and girls. Last time he checked Simon was a guy's name...unless it was supposed to be "See-moan," then maybe it could be a girl--

"Oooh no. You're Simon's new roomie?"

What?

Elian swung his face around, trying to discern who had made the comment.

"Y-Yeah? You know him?"

"You bet I know him. Earlier he threatened to kill my new roommate unless he gave up his chair."

The crowd parted just enough to reveal a muscular dark-skinned girl with a tiny bespectacled boy by her side. Both of them looked disproving and unhappy. With a slight trace of pity for Elian.

Jeepers!

"What!? He has that kind of power!?"

Elian's voice was raised pretty loudly by now. In the course of an hour he had probably garnered enough attention to be known as the screamer of the Freshman class.

"His last roommate was in the hospitable for a month. And it wasn't Gatekeepers."

Happy dreams of frolicking fields and picnics with roommate fluffed away like clouds in a breeze. Putting his hands to his head, Elian sunk down in despair.

"No...No way! I'm not gonna get killed by some delinquent roommate! What's he look like? Where is he?"

"I think he headed over to the rooms or something. That way."

It was yet another student chiming in. Seemed as if Simon had earned himself quite the reputation.

Alright, Cap'n. You survived all the other stuff. You can do this!

Pulling himself up, a determined look in his eye, Elian put on his best space pilot routine.

"He can't be all bad, right? I'll find some way to live with him!"

Then, another realization entered his head. If these people knew about Simon, then maybe...

"Oh yeah, have any of you seen a girl with long red hair around?"

The response was null.

"Uhm...I think I saw one go off with her roommate. Had ice powers?"

The ice boy---! Damn. I'll have to catch them later.

Still, another piece to the puzzle was nothing to shake a leg at. Sadly, with the huge crowd - only growing larger with the influx of superpowered Pawns looking for direction - both Elian and the upperclassmen he was speaking with entirely missed the interaction between said red hair girl and ice boy just a few yards from where they stood.

With a sigh, Elian decided that he'd better not put off any more time in confronting his fears, and followed where the others pointed towards the dorm rooms and, for the second time that day, his potential death.

@minismurf - I wasn't sure if you were in the room yet so I left it open

Siobhán emerged from the gym's locker rooms feeling refreshed. She gave a quick glance at her feet incase Ewan had returned without saying anything. Since he had adopted a male persona Ewan had had to be more descrete in the academy's public showers. For a moment she considered waiting in the gym for him to return with the room number but decided against it. She had beaten much of the tension that surrounded today into the punching bag so maybe she could stomach going to find him.

Siobhán entered the auditorium. She started to look for Ewan but was interrupted by a tide of students, all running outwards from a boy who was spewing fire into the air to the sound of sparse applause. Siobhán gritted her teeth. On a day like this they didn't need a group of burn victims in the hospital as well as the inevitable bodies in the morgue. She shoved two of the onlookers out of her way and strode up to the boy.

"Take it outside. Now" She demanded. The boy turned to face her, clearly high on his new found power.

"Who's going to make..." The boy began, but was unable to finish as Siobhán grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back. She planted a hand in the middle of his back and steered him towards the doors of the auditorium, shoving him outside.

"Jesus lady, calm down." He sneared before catching Siobhán's expression and deciding he might be better off practicing his new talents somewhere more descrete. Siobhán watched him leave, noticing Evelina relaxing on a rock as the boy passed her.

Joining her, Siobhán sat on the grass, resting her back against the cool stone surface.

"Evelina. You haven't decided to defect yet I see?" She joked to her fellow knight. As she spoke, Siobhán raised her arm to block the sun from sneaking through the branches of the dead tree. Without Ewan here, the light passed through her for forearm unimpeeded. Siobhán grunted in annoyance and moved her head to fit into the shadow of the branches.

@Stamper Are you happy for Evelina and Siobhán to be friends, or know each other.

-

Ewan slid over the crowd, causing the occasional pawn to flinch as they tried to figure out was what casting the shadow over them. He chuckled to himself. He arrived back in the gym quickly to find Siobhán missing but her baggage resting in the corner of the large hall. Rising from the floor, he took physical form, and collected the bags. Siobhán could look for the room herself later.

Ewan had not bothered to collect Siobhán's key so when he arrived at the rooms door and found it locked he opted to 'break and enter'. His dark form sank into the floor and slid, 2 dimensional, under the door. There was a boy inside, presumably Jun. Ewan decided to make a bit of an entrance; He was probably about to have to answer a bunch of questions about himself anyway.

Inside the room, at the base of the door, Ewan pushed only his arm out of the shadow. He pawed at the door, making little tapping noises against the wood. He took some glee in the Jun's surprised reaction as what appeared as a mysterious, dark tentacle slide up the door and clicked the lock open. The 'tentacle' shot back into the door and the shadow zipped back through the gap between the door and the wall. A moment later, the handle slowly turned, creaking as the lock moved. The door slammed open to reveal Ewan, standing in his human form, carrying two bags which he threw onto the floor.

"Jun, I presume" He said, extending a handshake.

@BEX

As Simon walked towards the dormitories he kept thinking about the wall incident, the student had been messing with him ever since they'd arrived, not only had the little bastard annoyed Simon by just overall acting high and mighty, "Well the fucker certainly got high in the end" Simon thought out loud for himself as he remembered one time he got to train with his roommate and he'd knocked the kid nearly straight through the roof of the training hall with a wellplaced uppercut.

Once he arrived to his dorm, number 18, he immediately threw his bag onto the bed, claiming it by that action. As his roommate entered a few moments after Simon stood up with a smile "Why hello there, I suppose you're my roommate" Simon took the boys hand "So it is a dude huh" He thought for himself "Nice to meet you, name's Simon" He let go of the boy's hand and did a full spin around the room, "So, this is where you'll live for the next year, and with me as your only friend" Simons smile instantly dissapeared and he now looked dead serious, "Now, for a few rules, You keep to your stuff and I'll keep to mine, what's yours is yours, and what's mine is mine, if you touch my stuff, I'll kick your ass, if you act high and mighty, I'll kick your ass, if you break these rules in ANY way, I'll kick your ass" Once Simon was finishied with his speech his smile reappeared, "Well, and that's pretty much it" Simon turned back around and threw himself on his bed, pulling out a handheld gaming console out of his bag.

@Pretzel Heart

Upon looking through the various internet forums, it would appear that the Gate Keepers were still up to no good, along with the teenagers who would make posts about wanting to kill them. Some of the posts even went on to say how they were supposed to go to the school Jun was currently in, however had too low of a compatibility rating. It was then, after scrolling through an endless amount of posts that contained the same rant, that Jun realized he was truly in the minority, and lucky to have powers. He would have to figure out what they are soon, that way he could put a good use to them. The boy just hoped they weren't something mediocre, but then again would it be too greedy to want something powerful? He was sure that's what everyone else wanted as well, even the reason that they came here.

The raven pulled out his crisps, and began munching on them, careful not to get crumbs on his newly made bed. He would have to always be careful too, for he didn't want ants crawling about the place. That would certainly drive his roommate insane with him... Jun then thought about what his roommate could possibly be like. Were they a he, a she, a hermaphrodite? Did they have powers of destruction, able to shut Jun up with only a flick of the wrist? Not that Jun would be talking a whole lot, and even then, his silence could prove to be rude. There wasn't any point in really thinking up a whole scenario about meeting his roommate, when they could come through the door at any moment, and destroy any of his imaginings of them. He did however decide to look up the pronunciation of the name, and found that it was female, learning how to now say it correctly.

While going through this thought process, munching a bag of chips, and aimlessly reading blog posts, Jun didn't notice, or even hear anyone at the door. The only part his ears bothered to pick up was his name being called. He looked up, a little questioning in his mind as he didn't hear anything. The boy looked towards the extended hand, and set aside his crisps to take it.

"Hello. I take it you aren't my roommate, unless I'm wrong about the pronunciation of the name." He said blankly, giving a small shake, then retracting his hand to eat some more. His face reamained expressionless, although within his mind were a million questions firing...

The rumors still swirling around in his head, Elian centered himself on imagining just what sort of a person this 'Simon' would be. Probably somebody like the jock from earlier: Imposing, obnoxious.

Best try to stay on his good side as long as possible. Least till I get the hang of not setting him off.

He wondered if someone like himself who enjoyed listening to pop music and reading science fiction novels while yelling at every plot twist had any chance of survival. Elian considered himself a pretty friendly guy, though. Plus he had corn dogs for a peace offering, if worst came to worst. He didn't want to give up his corn dogs.

Well, if he is a muscle jock, we could at least do sit-ups together.

He'd only ever had his sister and Lyre as exercise partners and both of them sucked at it. Elian himself was still determined to show the world that one could eat nothing but fast food and still boast a six pack, though it'd been a sad two years of no real development.

As soon as he opened the door Elian at least got an answer on what kind of a person his new roommate was. Simon was...well......surprisingly not that intimidating. At least in the looks department. Other than being pretty well-toned...well...he wasn't an elephant, at least. Also he seemed almost cheerful, immediately leading Elian into the room and starting the introductions.

"I'm Elian. You can call me 'Eli' if that's too many syllables." He shrugged, not caring much for what other people called him. As long as it wasn't mean.

"Only friend...? Uh...r-right." What did his roommate mean by that? After all the testimonies he had heard earlier, Elian didn't really feel like he wanted to know. They could be best buds forever as long as it kept him from, well, dying.

Then suddenly, Simon's tone dropped, bringing down with it a cold shiver of fear along Elian's spine. Was his roommate about to show his 'true colors'?

Again, not really. His rule list seemed perfectly reasonable to Elian, so he just nodded along. He was used to sharing living spaces, anyways. Even if some of the rules had been outrageous, like having to recite poetry while standing on your head, he was pretty sure that his answer to everything Simon said from now on would be 'yes.' Unless Simon wanted a 'no.' He couldn't completely keep himself quiet, however.

"Sure thing. Though maybe we could add 'no kicking your roommate's ass,' you know. Just a thought."

Introductions seemingly over, Simon just flopped down on his bed and started playing some sort of videogame. Elian almost wanted to question him about it, but thought he'd test the waters on one other issue first.

"Also, can I ask you about this superpower stuff for a sec?" He asked, in as polite a tone as possible, while setting down his bag. He hadn't brought anything that wasn't in his backpack...which at least would make unpacking easy.

Simon let out a small snicker as Eli gave his reccomendation over the added rule, "Heh, we'll see how things go and then I might consider it" As he spoke his question Simon paused his game, a little sigh over being forced to leave his entertainment, however since the kid was new it was sort of Simons job to inform him about how things worked at the academy. "Sure, what do you wanna ask about, since I'm kind of your senior I'm pretty obliged to tell you the basics and all that" Simon hoped that his question wouldn't be anything too complicated, Simon very rarely paid proper attention unless it was about the Gatekeepers or any other strong creature or student.

@Pretzel Heart

Elian smiled at the response, feeling a bit relieved that his roommate had at least some sense of humor. He could live with anyone who knew how to take a joke.

"Well, your power is to beat people u--I mean. Uhm. What is your power?"

He had just assumed that it had something to do with super strength or smashing things.

"Anyways, I was just wondering how you figured it out." He stood with his arms opened, as if presenting himself, nerdy handmade jacket, eyepatch, and all, "so far I haven't gotten a clue."

He wasn't in too much of a rush, but cool powers were cool powers, and he couldn't deny being slightly jealous of the flashier kids outside, even if their displays had been a bit...dangerous.

"My gosh. I'm Lusine! Don't tell me, are you Archie!?"

Archie was about to respond until Lusine leaped onto him and grasped his hands, only for her to pull back, but the way she acted made him smile softly, he had a feeling that they would get along just fine. He held his hand in front of his face to notice how pale it was before looking back at his roommate.

"You... just got your powers, huh?"

"Yeah, sorry about that. Still getting used to it and all but uh, give me a second and let me see if I can at least tone it down."

Not like he knew how to do it in the first place but it certainly worth a shot. He closed his eyes and started breathing in and out at a steady pace, as he was doing, the ice that was forming beneath his feet soon stopped and when he finished, he realized he didn't feel as cold as he did before and opened his eyes. Problem was that he still didn't feel warm so he came to the conclusion that he probably wont regain his warmth ever again which surprisingly didn't bother him. He looked over to Lusine who was most likely watching him the whole time, but he couldn't point out if the look she gave him was out of concern?

"To answer your question from earlier, I am Archie. Looks like were going to be roommates for the year so I'm looking forward to working well together. Oh and uh... I saw on the billboard that you were a Bishop, so once we finish getting our stuff into our room, mind being my guide and showing me around?"

Archie didn't have that many things to bring with him so all he had that was close to baggage was his backpack and katana. He then extended his hand to her so they could shake, in hopes this time it won't make her retreat like she did before.

Miles Malcolm

Miles walked steadily toward the exit of the domed building, diamonds still falling from his open mouth. Strangely enough, he didn't choke on them and when he closed his mouth, they stopped appearing altogether. One would expect people to dive for such things but the students that he passed looked too disgusted and shocked to even realize that this black haired boy had a trail of diamonds behind him. He noticed the girl, Maya, standing near the entrance and came up behind her, lightly tapping her on the shoulder. Since she had been here longer than him, perhaps she might know what to do about his... predicament. He opened his mouth to speak and the waterfall of the sparkly gems continued, making it hard for the words to be understood.

"Ief can't... shpeak... -at do Ief do?" Is this normal? At least eh hadn't been gifted with the power of vomiting dirt or rocks. No, Miles instead was a classy diamond spewer. His power revolved around diamonds, that much was certain, but as to what to do with with what he could do was beyond him. Perhaps with another force, he could spit the hard gems at people and give them welts but only him, a boy with such large dreams could hope for something so extravagant... psh...

Evelina Cosimia

"Of course not," Evelina said with a small smile. "It's nice to see you again, Siobhán." It had been some time since Evelina had the pleasure of speaking to a fellow student and respect knight, Siobhán. Siobhán was one of the students Evelina saw becoming a hero on the battlefield someday. Of course, everyone came to AAG expecting to be some sort of hero and acquire glory from their powers but few actually made it that far and Evelina was glad they didn't. Most if the pawns she had observed today held very little promise and Evelina bet they wouldn't last more than a year here. Noticing Siobhán was distraught from the blaring sun shining through a tree that would have one blocked the harsh rays, she pulled out her small parasol (Evelina almost always had one to match her outfit if she decided to dress nicer that day) and opened it to block the sunlight.

"What do you think of this years bunch?" Evelina asked her curiously with a raised eyebrow.

@Ironrot

Simon just shrugged as a response to the boys question. "Well I mean already before I joined the school I was strong as hell, I mean this one time I nearly destroyed an entire forest becau-" Simon stopped himself as the memories of his fathers corpse came back into his mind. "Ahem, anyway, since I already had a powerful physique, I suppose that my powers just adapted to that, boosting them tremedously" Simon held his fist in front of him and looked at it, he'd never really thought about why he'd gotten the powers he'd been handed "I'm not sure if it's the same for all the kids, I've never really bothered asking anyone about it, for well, you see, I'm not very popular in this academy in case you haven't heard that already, however I'm pretty sure you've heard the rumors"

Stella Arero

Stella sat up, glancing at the girl who had entered the room. Ah. Her roommate. "Hello," Stella said bluntly, standing up off the bed. "Yeah, pretty sure this is Room 1. It said so on the door." Stella didn't smile. She made no hint towards it being a joke. When Yamamoto had walked inside, Stella put out her hand for her to shake. "Stella." She said simply, then walked back down to sit on her bed. She wasn't one for small talk, and by the looks of it, her roommate seemed a bit shy. Hopefully that meant most of their time in the room together would be quiet. Stella wanted quiet.

Come to think of it, how did such a shy timid person survive the injection? She didn't look like a pawn, nor had Stella seen here in the line for injections. "What's your power?" She blurted, mainly out of curiosity. A shy-girl power.. hmn. A force field? Invisibility? Stella glanced at her own hands, now realizing that her fingertips had turned a shade darker. How peculiar. Luckily for her, since it was light outside, the lights in Room 1 were not flickering, because they weren't on. So Stella did;t have to embarrass herself.

Kira giggled at Aiden's comment "Trust me If my powers weren't so lethal that line would be gone already". She'd rarely spoke to him during her first year of school, but each time he seemed to come up with something that would make her laugh. He was one of the few people returning this year that she really looked forward to, but, unfortunately, they weren't going to be roommates. She wondered who her actual roommate would be and let out a very small sigh before saying "I guess you could say I'm pretty excited. Things are really boring outside of the academy, and I'm just waiting for when we get to the really fun stuff. Hopefully, this year will be more exciting than the last". She ran a hand through her hair before asking "What about you, do you have any expectations for this year?".

"K-Kei." They shook hand. Kei watches as the Stella girl sat back on her bed. Kei put her belongings in the other side of the room, one that still empty and untouched.

"What's your power?" Stella asked. Should she tell her? Right now? Her power is not as awesome as the others, or the ones that the higher ranks had. But it's still a cool, kind of rare power. Kei smiled.

"Nah, i'll keep it a secret for now. What about yours? Have it come out yet?"

Aiden Minstroff

Aiden laughed with her, enjoying their conversation and the fact that Kira was enjoying it too. "Yeah, my time outside of the academy isn't the most enjoyable either." Aiden didn't enjoy being back with his family for any period of time, even if it was never actually his family, just a bunch of maids and nannies. It still sucked either way. Aiden knew he should be grateful, half the people here didn't have family to go back too. But sometimes Aiden felt he didn't have it any better than them.

"Each year's got a twist, don't worry, they'll keep ya on your toes." Aiden grinned. Being a year older then Kira, he'd already been through what she was about to do this year. Aiden gave a small shrug. "I don't know. I kinda want a Pawn roomie - I think it would be fun to help a new kid out. But really, I'll just go with the flow, I guess." Aiden leaned back, relaxing his shoulders, gazing back at the brown board. "I think I might go check my room and stuff now, cause I got some boxes to move in and I don't want to leave 'em sitting around. I'll talk to you later, Kira!" Aiden stood up, gave a wave, and headed to go find his name on the bulletin board.

Stella Arero

Stella blinked, not fully comprehended her request to know her roommate's power had been turned down. Hmph. Well. As much as Stella wanted to know, it wasn't her place to pry. Besides... it didn't matter that much. But wow, Stella hadn't expected that from the shy little girl who stuttered when saying her own name. "Hmph." Was all she said in return, shrugging and turning away. The real reason it upset Stella that Kei did not share her power, was that now Stella would be thinking about it all day, guessing, wondering, and speculating. It made her slightly angry, but she quickly brushed the feelings and thoughts away.

"Not exactly." There were definetly signs of her having some power. It just wasn't exactly clear yet. Lights flickered around her, her fingertips were turning black. She hoped her skin wouldn't completely blacken. Stella obviously couldn't see her own eyes, but they glowed as well. She'd wanted, no, expected to understand her abilities immediately. The suspense in waiting for them had gotten her excited and it was a bit of a bummer to get only sneak peaks. But in the meanwhile, it was fun, trying to guess. Stella would surely be glancing at other people around the campus, trying to guess their powers before she saw them in action.

"I think I'll go look around. Maybe there's a schedule somewhere. Bye."
Stella said, leaving the room, gently closing the door behind her.

There's a pause as Stella stared at her for a second or two. Probably suprised by Kei's answer, maybe she expected her to tell her just like that.

"Hmph" She shrugged and turned away, replying her question with an ambiguous "Not really."

From the looks of it, Stella have yet to develop or awoken her power. If she already is, she would probably tell her so Kei could tell hers in return. Aside from that, Kei also noticed that the room's light continues to flicker like crazy and she believed that she caught a glimpse of darkened fingertips. Those are not nail polish.

"I think I'll go look around. Maybe there's a schedule somewhere. Bye." Stella said as she left the room. As soon as the door closed, the lights returned to normal.

"Interesting." Kei whispered, while starting to unboxing her stuffs. She couldn't help but to think about what could be Stella powers, and wondering whether she could counter it. "Light manipulation? Shadow? Darkness? Light absorption? Electricity?..."

It was a strange thing, to watch someone use their power for the first time. Truly use, as in, begin to exhibit some control...To own the power, to feel it as an extension of your own senses and being.

But while Archie was trying to warm himself up, Lusine thought about none of this. Instead, her imperceptible sparkling blue eyes placed a vacant gauze over the frantic darting of her mind, trying to take in every aspect of her new roommate's exterior, and, as much as she could penetrate, his interior, like a worker bee flitting between flowers.

He seemed a bit shabby, and in that shabbiness she could detect a sense of nonchalance - the way he postured himself, the position of his feet - but under it, perhaps, potential. The overall effect was someone she was sure she would like, and, being the stubborn sort in that department, resolved that she would like him.

It would be nice to see him in a new set of clothes, though...

He didn't seem to have much on him, though his long sword caught her curious attention.

When Archie seemed to recover himself enough to extend a more proper handshake, Lusine accepted it, her other hand hovering over her face as if in an attempt to mask the smile glistening there.

"I guess we both have water-based powers, then. How fun! And don't worry, I've been here two years and I still don't have a great grasp on mine."

She dropped his hand with the slightest inkling of a blush on her cheeks. This would be the year she learned to funnel her erratic energy for the greater good, she was sure!

"We're in Room 2, right? You can follow me this way."

Beckoning, Lusine began to weave through the other students, her brightly colored hair bobbing through the crowd like a fish swimming near the surface. As she walked Archie towards the dormitories she tried to point out various places, promising that she could take him for a closer look, if he'd like.

"Also, I hope you like to," she suddenly stopped walking to make a dramatic sweeping motion of her hands as if finishing off a guitar rift, "rock n roll."

She smiled deviously, turning behind to reveal the hallway of their dorms.

"How nice. Must be our new neighbor."

While Lusine and Archie stood outside the door to Room 2, a girl with equally outstandingly colored hair was, at the same time, exiting from Room 1.

"How do you do?" the Bishop politely curtsied, extending the wide extent of her skirt like a sail.

He what? Destroyed a forest?

For someone who hadn't even had his superpower steroids yet, Simon was already the most terrifying person that Elian had ever encountered. At least as far as physical power was concerned. This coming from someone who had spent the past few years in the not-so-great part of Empire City.

And now Simon was
enhanced. Not being particularly perceptible, Elian missed the flicker of his roommate's face when he suddenly cut off his tale.

"Well..."

Honesty was usually the best policy. That's what his mom had always told him, though he was sure that she'd never had to wrangle with a superhuman punching machine with potential anger management issues. Still, Elian didn't think he'd be very good at keeping secrets, anyways, and letting doubt stir around for the next however many years didn't seem too appealing.

"Actually, I did hear some rumors, just then." He flicked his head towards the door, as if to motion to where the roommate board was, "but I'm more of a judge by experience kind of guy, than someone who'd be scared by a few tales."

He was careful to leave out the part where, in fact, he was quite terrified.

"So let's be friends, aight?" He punctuated this cheesy remark with an appropriate side-smile and thumbs-up.

Well, there seemed to be no short cut to learning powers, so Elian would just go with the flow until something showed up. Maybe they just needed time to gestate...growing stronger by the hour. And then he'd even be able to spar with Simon one day.

Haha...don't get ahead of yourself, Cap.

Once again Smion snickered a little, however there was an obvious undertone of sadness in it, "Yeah, I thought as much, rumors certainly aren't a rarity here, most of them about me, to be completely honest though so aren't even half of them true, or well they might be true, however they aren't intentional I just can't really control my powers, sure I know that I am strong however when I get provoked of just annoyed I just kinda lose control" Simon felt that his old memories and the rumours of the school was starting to get to him, however this wasn't a way to act before his junior, he shook his head for a moment and then put on a smile of comfort, not sure if it was for himself or Elian. "But anyway, I highly doubt that you'll have any trouble to fit in here, so yeah sure, we'll be good friends" Once again Simon held up his fist, however this time it was to show his determination.

Stella Arero

Stella let out a sigh. She hadn't exactly been briefed on where to go after the injection, how to start. Did she have classes that she needed to go too? Figure out your power 101? Stella snorted to herself. Might as well take a walk around the campus. See what she was up against. Preferably a place that didn't have their lights on.

"How do you do?" Stella flinched, startled. So wrapped up in her thoughts, the girl had barely noticed people entering the room next door. "Hello," Stella said slowly, surveying the two people, most likely roommates. One boy, looked rather ragged. She wasn't sure if it was his style or he just.. didn't have many clothes. The girl beside him, the one who had.. curtsied.. looked rather whimsical, with bright salmon red hair and a pretty skirt. An interesting pair.

The boy looked kind of unsure, but the girl looked like she knew her way around. "Is there someplace Pawns are supposed to be? Or anywhere I could get a schedule? After they get the injection, I mean." Stella asked.

Aiden Minstroff

Now that the crowd had quieted down a bit, it was rather easy for Aiden to gently push his way through the mass of people and look for his name. Aha! Room 36. But before Aiden could see the name of his roommate, he was pushed away. Aiden let out a small grumble, but decided it would be fun to leave it a surprise. Aiden left the crowd surrounding the board to go find his dorm and start unpacking. Aiden, despite having a lot of money due to his family, refused to take much of the things his parents bought for him. During his time out of the academy, believe it or not, Aiden had gotten a job. It gave him another sense of purpose, earning his own keep instead of his family giving it to him.

When he got to Room 36, it was empty, so that meant Aiden got first pick. He put down some boxes on the bed in the left corner, and made one more trip for his last set of boxes. Aiden very much wanted to visit the training area, because he hadn't got the chance to train off campus, but he forced himself to unpack before going to train. Aiden knew he would work himself to the bone, and expect to come to his room to a made bed so he could collapse, and instead find a bunch of boxes he still had to unpack. One more thing was that Aiden wanted to wait and see if his roommate would come in. He wasn't sure when he would find his roommate if he went to train, (he doubted his roommate would just go around campus looking for him) so it wasn't all bad.

He got to unpacking.

Maya waited for a few minutes until she saw a figure with black hair and blue eyes. It was obviously Miles and Maya felt overjoyed that Miles wasn't going to rot in a cemetery. Now that Maya thought of it, she wasn't even sure if she would be both allowed nor will she bother coming to his funeral. As Maya studied him, she noticed something shiny coming out of his mouth. Maya squinted for a second to see what was coming out, maybe it was his new powers, or Miles' hobby is stuffing shiny things into his mouth. The shiny things were... Diamonds? No way they would keep those in the injection place... She thought and he kept walking towards her.

Maya didn't really feel like walking forward, probably a result of pure laziness and a slightly stunned feelings as to what his powers actually were. A few seconds later, Miles tapped her shoulder and Maya gave a short nod of approval. "So! You didn't die," She smiled. Though the smile almost converted into laughter as a stream of diamonds started to flood out. Sniffling the incoming laughter away, she listened to what he had to say. And whatever Miles said was completely unknown to Maya. Something about speaking, though she wasn't very sure. "Hmm... Maybe try spitting all the diamonds out and then talk?" She suggested to him. It could help, though it might make him produce an endless stream of diamonds.

"Well isn't that a coincidence, can't wait to hear all about your powers, then. Yeah that's the room, go ahead and lead the way. "

Archie said while he stuffed his hands into his sweater pockets while following her through the crowd. While they were on their way, he made sure to point out to some locations he would like to visit later on when they have the chance. He was especially interested in finding a location where there wouldn't be many students around, almost like a sanctuary he can go to sleep around.

When they made it to the dormitory, he watched as Lusine pretended to play an air guitar and thought about the best way to answer her question. He put his stuff aside before taking a few steps back to put some distance between the two, then he started running towards her until he dropped to his knees so that he could start sliding and only stopped when he got in front of her. He also had been sure to pretend he had strung a long note while doing this to add effect. Once he got up, he dusted his knees and looked up to her and gave her a wink.

"Hope that answers your question."

He picked up his belongings before they continued on to their room and was just about to enter when he noticed their neighbor, a girl he remembered earlier from the injection, had just came out of her room. Since Lusine was already talking to the girl, he decided to standby and join in for awhile.

"Hey. Great to meet another pawn. I'm Archie and this here is my roommate Lusine.... Well Iv'e done my part, if you need me I'll be in my room."

And just like that, he left the both of them to their chatting as he walked past his door. His reasoning was simple really, the first thing he did when he got in was to toss his stuff aside and jump right on top of his bed. Seeing how this was the first time he's laid upon one, he was sure as hell going to make the use of it.

Siobhán relaxed under the parasol, quietly thanking Evelina. The stress of the day seemed to melt away as she rested her aching muscles and considered taking a nap. Eyes closed, she pondered Evelina's question.

"I can't say I've seen much." Siobhán said with a yawn, "But in my experience, you don't want anyone who is showing off on the first day. The best soldiers are the ones quietly practising." She looked up at Evelina. "Of course, they are also the hardest to find. Did I tell you almost my whole platoon graduated last year? I've got to snag a few good recruits before the academy just assigns me whoever." Siobhán paused for a moment, then spoke with a grin. "You should consider a re-assignment to bishop so you can join me." She joked.

Ewan shook Jun's hand.

"Well, I'm a piece of her. You call me Ewan". He stepped into the room, checking which bed was Jun's. Ewan made a little sideways jump over Siobhán's bed and slipped into the wall. He took a typical relaxed pose with his arms behind his head. He looked Jun and his desk over. Food in the room; Siobhán would hate that but Ewan didn't feel like it was necessary to say.

"So, you're new, yeah? Have you had your..." Ewan made a shadow puppet of a syringe by extending his middle finger and jabbing himself in the forearm. He accompanied the motion by making a popping noise with his mouth. "Anything happen yet?"
