James Porter & Olivia Sullivan
"No, but then he was smoking outside," Olivia added to the man's story. She then crouched down behind Bruno and hugged the dog, seemingly using the cute animal to protect herself from any backlash for being a 'snitch'.
"Wow... And I thought you had my back, Olivia," James remarked, but made sure to smile as he spoke so the troubled child wouldn't think he was being at all serious. The subject was soon shifted as Thomas asked James for a boxing match. He didn't miss the mention of Syd, but chose not to respond about his eldest son out of fear it would lead to Thomas asking to see his brother. It wasn't that he would wish to deny Syd and Thomas time together, but until he'd had chance to discuss matters with his eldest, James wasn't prepared to make any promises to the boy standing before him. "Mate, I will kick your arse. You sure you want that kind of embarrassment on your shoulders?" he teased. He smirked as Lucy was quick to inform them they would have to take their fights outside. "Yes, Boss," he replied to his wife. "You hear that, Thomas? Stop trying to get your old man in trouble!"
"Wow, so nobody's backing me in this fight?" James asked Lucy, as she commented on Thomas having the upper hand. It was nice to hear a little normality from Lucy, but he knew deep down she was still taking Arlene's death hard. "What are you having, love? I'll have whatever you're having to eat," he suggested to encourage his wife to eat something. "I need some energy to beat tough lad over he," he said, motioning to their son.
