Johnathan "Jack" Monroe was a capable leader and commander in the army. However, a destructive lifestyle and idealistic viewpoint on crime coupled with a problem with authority and hatred of corruption has turned a promising soldier into a vigilante operating by his own rules. Jack has little care for anyone that doesn't see things his way; he operates by his own rules. Stop corruption, clean Eluvia, prevent injustice. No killing women or children. After years of mercenary, assassin, and vigilante work, Jack grows tired of his punishing career of stopping a never-ending flow of crime but ceases to quit. Jack is a ghost. He has abandoned his previous life, and lives as a hermit. The only home he has are random hideouts along the cities, and his weapon and armory is his only drive. Jack has little meaning. Perhaps he is searching for some.

History: Artemis comes from a faction known as the "Synthesis Coalition." Captain of the exploratory Warship Rain, they flew into an ambush by a terrorist organisation named "Blood and Steel". The terrorists blew out a bulkhead, and damaged the Sub-Matter drive, filling the ship with hard vacuum, killing all organic members of the crew, and essentially destroying the ships FTL drive. Now Artemis is trying to find someone who can successfully repair the frigate's drive, but none have ever seen the type it is. In the meantime he does odd jobs suited to his vessel or equipment.

The exploratory frigate Hope was in the docking bay of Rain when she was attacked. Artemis uses Hope when landing on planets, as most docks cannot fit Rain.

The Fusion-Pulse rifle uses a tiny fusion reactor, or outside power source, to quickly propel quick slices of energy at a target. This energy is stopped by shields, however Shattered Sky is modified to also accept solid-based projectiles, which would ignore energy-based shields altogether.

Heavy Gravitic Rifle "Chronos"

The Gravitic Rifle "Chronos" is a rifle that uses technology that can shape gravity and use it to project a beam of gravitational force, shearing through anything in it's path by ripping it in two. This can, however, be defended against with any anti-kinetic shields.

Tekkyd Armour

It should also be noted that Artemis's armour is not without some tricks of it's own...
