Fantasy Element Academy

Xel had barely muttered an apology to the junior student he had frightened before heading into the combat room. Normally he'd be more civil, polite. As much as he hated the academy, he sure didn't mind the students and he wasn't in the habit of behaving that way to them unless they'd asked for it. His irritation flared as he formed a lightning blade in his hand, throwing it at the head of the dummy. He quickly launched into a furious frenzy, taking out his anger on everything in the room. He paused to take a break after a good while, his anger having cooled. It would probably be a good idea to test some of his techniques rather than just beat the hell out of everything. As he contemplated what he should do next, he caught sight of a girl standing outside the room. A girl whose hand was hovering over a bracelet on the other. Xel covered the distance between them in a couple of strides, towering over her. "What do you want?"

@CrystalYoshi

Adrienne looked up at the older student with an almost blank look in her eyes but they were actually a little cold but that's how she usually was to others that she didn't really know on a personal level.She moved her hand away from her bracelet some but kept it close so that she didn't feel completely defenseless against him but he didn't know that it was a weapon,hopefully.She stared at him some more before realizing that he wanted an answer from her and that she had been staring at him,which was rude in on itself,and she had waited a while before answering him.She opened her mouth to say an apology but nothing came out of her mouth and she panicked for a split second,Crap I'm screwed now aren't I?She calmed herself down again and she looked down at the ground before answering."S-sorry, I-I don't talk to many people b-but I came here to practice."She looked up at the student and put her hands in front of her again,this time they were apart from each other so that she didn't accidentally activate her weapon and tick him off.

@Xeyran

"I at first thought you were trying to start something," Ivan admitted. "No matter how hard you try the curse of being a hydromancer follows you everywhere."

Xel waited for an answer as the girl simply stared at him in silence before she finally responded, stumbling over a few words. He turned around, heading back to the center of the room, about to tell the girl to look elsewhere but stopped himself. He glanced at the girl still standing in the doorway then his surroundings. Hell, he'd had more than enough practice as it was and techniques could come later when he was alone. He didn't like the idea of someone watching him while he trained. He cracked his neck, catching sight of an unnatural cloud outside the combat room. At least he'd have some entertainment in the meantime. "Room's all yours kid." He told the girl with the bracelet as he slipped past.

Adrienne looked confused for a moment and she walked into the room,pressing the button on her bracelet and gripping the handle of her scythe."I'm not a kid ya know, at least I don't act like one."She mumbled the sentence to herself and she stood inbetween the middle of the room and the door and she held her scythe so that the blade was in front of her feet and the handle part was behind her slightly.She looked out the window and saw the cloud that was not there when she had looked out the window a few moments ago before she got here,but she shrugged and dismissed the thought as nature or something strange like that.

@Xeyran

Xel walked in the direction of the cloud, eventually coming across two people standing a good distance apart from each other facing a nearby cliff, the cloud well within their view. No doubt they had something to do with it. It was too dark for him to see clearly so he moved closer. As he neared them, he realised he recognised both students. One was a dark haired, rather good looking boy from his class and the other...the other was a girl. A girl with distinctive blonde hair. Xel froze, stepping harder then he had intended to, causing a twig under his foot to snap. Crap! He winced at how loud the sound was. Marissa

Throwing his hood on and opening the window, Kuroha was in garb that very few students knew him by; Ivan, Mikeru, and then those who were around during his race with Ivan last week. Nomadic clothes were considerably more comfortable than those pajamas he'd been stuffed in while in that bed behind him, though somehow he'd managed to get Mikeru to leave the room enough time for him to change and possibly slip out through the window. Leaping out, Kuroha floated there a second to close the window before letting himself drop straight down into the courtyard below. It seemed there were plenty of people in that courtyard though, so immediately he found himself making a dash out of there with a few people actually following him with how he looked suspicious.

On the run, Kuroha pulled a fast one. Jumping into the air, he spun around as though a drill aimed horizontally. He seemed to just up and vanish, making it look like he was consumed by the cloak or something before the cloak would vanish itself all in a mere moment. It was enough to leave most other students baffled, though he knew that if it were somebody who knew quite well his teleporting tricks, they could possibly figure out it was him even without knowing of his nomadic clothing. He knew none of them were watching though, and as such there was also nobody there to keep them from thinking something weird was going on and thus trying to investigate further. Kuroha himself at this point though, was elsewhere resting from that forced magic. To be more specific, he'd 'teleported' over to a bush in the next courtyard over, which seemed be pretty much empty.

Jampo skipped off towards the cafeteria, humming happily to herself. She was glad to make it there just in time even though they couldn't actually eat there because it was about to close. She quickly grabbed her food, turning around and walking out. "I'm going to go eat in the courtyard! You guys are welcome to join me." She smiled, walking backwards before turning around an continuing to make her way to the nearest courtyard.

Once there, Po gingerly sat down, placing her chopstick on her napkin before clap her hands together. She then closed her eyes, bowing her head down slightly. "Thank you for this food!" She cooed before opening her eyes and digging in. Suddenly she heard a rattle in the bush, causing her to stop. She looked around, not saying anything. She then heard another rustle, causing her to aburptly stand up. "who's ever there come out! I have lungs full of air and I'm not afraid to use them!" She called out, furrowing her eyesbrows.

Kaia followed, twirling a finger through her hair and whistling absently. Her mind was somewhere else entirely, creating battle scenes and strategies in her head. She grabbed her food, absently nibbling on a bit, and followed Po to the courtyard. "Of course we're going to follow you." She hummed. "Where else is there to go?"

As they reached the courtyard Kaia opted out of siting on one of the many benches, instead plopping right down in the grass. She took another bite, watching Po pray over her food with mild interest, before stiffening at the rustling in the bushes. She glanced between Po and the bush, round purple eyes going wide, but decided she'd let Po attack first. A long range attack would be the smartest approach to a possible enemy trying to hide.

Liz followed, sensing something in the bush. She slowly turned the grass behind the bush into vines and manipulated them to grab and lift Kuroha into the air.

Ortwin was impressed by the girl's performance. He nodded, giving a small clap. "That was nice." But then he heard a twig snap and he turned to what caused the distraction. He noticed a boy standing and staring at the other girl. He looked from him to her. What was going on? Confusion was not something he liked. He needed to know what was going on. "Hey," Ortwin said, trying to start a conversation.

@Xeyran @rosamortelle

Xel barely heard the boy's call, keeping his eyes fixed on Marissa. Even with his reflexes he wasn't going to take any chances. "Hey..." Xel responded as he searched the dredges of his memory for a name. It started with O he was sure. Oda? No Ortie? No that wasn't it either, he searched further but nothing concrete came out. "Ortel right? The Floramancer from Elemental Control?" He threw out randomly as he kept his eyes on Marissa.

"Why thank you," Marissa weakly chuckled. She about to make another comment when She heard a twig snap and Ortwin say hey to someone in the distance. As if the white hair and yellow eyes hadn't given it away, Xel's vocal response definitely did. As Xel spoke, Marissa couldn't help but notice that his eyes were locked onto her. Then again people keeping a cautious eye on her was a regular thing nowadays. Still though not wanting to be rude, Marissa also greeted Xel.

"Hey Xel, I didn't know you were out here. Also," Marissa looked towards the boy, "he's a ferramancer not a floramancer. But I haven't quite learned his name yet either."

@DuskerTem @Xeyran

"The cloud you caused drew me out here. And sorry about the Floramancer mix up. I don't exactly have the best memory." Xel relaxed slightly, shooting the boy an apologetic glance. "If you're out here practicing tricks does that mean you're participating in BoC?" Xel asked Marissa. He seemed to recall some trouble about her in the event last year. Not that he knew what it was. It just didn't catch his interest back then. Most things didn't, especially school events he didn't care for.

@rosamortelle @DuskerTem

Ortwin was offended. Floramancer? How dare he? But he was thankful for the other girl's response or he was going to blow. "Yes, I'm a ferramancer." He cleared his throat. "And I'm not Ortel. Ortwin." He looked at the girl. "I never caught your name, either, by the way." It seemed that the guy wasn't paying attention to him. He was only being nice. He just wanted to talk to the girl. He felt like he was interrupting something even though Xel was the one who did that,

After signing up for BoC, Luna decided to head to the combat room to practice, but when she got there, it was crowded with people. She recognized some of them, but didn't know their names. Staying close to the wall and avoiding eye contact, she went to an empty corner and began to throw knives at the practice dummies. After a while, she practiced with her throwing stars and sai. She hadn't done BoC, but since this was her last year, she decided to give it a shot.

Ivan made his way to the combat room and, while not surpried, was disappointed that so many were occupying it. At least he could avoid it. His first stop was in the locker room where he grabbed his trident. The weight felt good in his hand. Unlike most spears and bo staffs, which were the most similar weapons to the trident, it was heavy. It does take some getting used to, but after three and a half years of practice it was natural.

Ivan walked back out too the crowded room and made his way to the other side. The combat room was almost always in use, so another one was built onto the side, but locked during their free periods. However, since people in advanced combat often had to practice or take different tests during their free period, they can open the door and invite anyone else in as well. It is that room Ivan was aiming for, but sharp projectiles seemed to keep flying past the door. When he was close enough he knocked one out of the air with his trident, just for show. "Pardon me, but I need though here."

@Kestrel

"Marissa, my name is Marissa Damini," answered Marissa to Ortwin. When Xel asked if she was participating in BoC, she was a little offended about his unasured voice.

"Of c-course I'm participating in BoC. I'm also doing Siege defense and Gauntlet-t run. Why wouldn't I-I be?"

As soon as she began to answer Xel's question, Marissa felt another wash of exhaustion overcome her. She had been trying to hide how she felt infront of the two but now it was becoming hard to do.

@DuskerTem @Xeyran

Jampo, having taken notice of his location, pretty much just screwed him over. He'd be out of here fast, though first he'd have to make sure Jampo knew he was basically on the run for important reasons all the while not letting the rest know what's going on... He'd very much like to avoid being known as the president right now after all, what with having been really suspicious the way he leaped from that infirmary window and dashed through the place. The vines tried to grab him, but he came out from the bush in a sprint, and immediately jumped and spun facing upwards, flying inches over Jampo and whispering just loud enough she hear. "I was never here, Po." Kuroha said, it clear the voice belonged to Kuroha.

After passing by Jampo, he went head downwards, spinning around and becoming enveloped by the cloak once more, seeming to disappear and not show back up. A few of the students trying to find him came on through, searching every single corner of that courtyard. The vines had left a few tears in his cloak though, as well as a cut on his cheek that he'd have to find explanation for if a certain psycho girl came along and decided to kill whoever it was that gave Kuroha that cut on his cheek. The most of his worries right now though, were how tired he was getting and everything. He'd probably be on the floor before the end of the next two teleports should they be necessary, given the really high amounts of air control he's concentrating on just himself and not letting generate any sort of wind to others.

@NightCasterZ @Halcyon @Moony

Xel merely nodded at Ortwin's words. "Right sorry, Never been good with names either." He shrugged his shoulders at Marissa's response to his question. "I don't know. I just remember there was some chaos surrounding you and BoC last year."

Luna gasped as one of her daggers was swatted aside by a trident. "I... I'm sorry." She picked up her fallen weapons and backed away from the hydromancer. She recognized him, but didn't know his name. "I...should probably go," she mumbled staring at the ground.

The girl furrowed her eyebrows when the other girl quickly tried attacking with leaves. It was basic elemental 101 to know that you never attack your victim right away. Always give them a chance. However, she quickly reminded herself she couldn't blame the other girl since she was a 1st years.

The bush rustled once more and Po took a large breath, getting into her fighting stance. When the figure flew straight over her head though she heard an interesting voice 'president?' She thought to herself as the the cloak engulfed him as he used his transportation skills. She slowly released the breath she had in her before turning to the blonde Liz.

"Oh that was the pr-" she cut herself off quickly, a worried look being present on her face. She quickly shook her head back and forth with wide eyes. "I mean! Just another Prankster trying to scare us. Little does he know I'm the queen of pranks!" She placed her cute determined look back of her face as she playfully pumped her fist as though being a prankster was her biggest achievement. "Now let's eat~" the fourth year decided, slowly lowering herself back in her seat. "Yummmmmmy~!" She cooed, shoving some food in her mouth.

Kaia didn't pay much attention to Liz's vines, her eyes narrowing at the bush. As Po got into a fighting stance, so did she, and prepared herself for whoever would come running- more like flying- out.

Her eyes widened when the figure flew towards Po, and although it was only for a moment that it hovered there she'd beat herself up about not being quick enough later. The cloaked figure escaped quickly and her expression turned quizzical, a brow quirking as her eyes passed from where the person left to Po. "What...?"

Confusion then turned into suspicion as Po quickly changed the subject. She knew the girl well enough that something was up. "That was who, Po?" She asked, ignoring all of the girl's words but those. She rose an eyebrow and dropped back to the ground, waiting for an answer.

"Hold on," Ivan said, swinging his trident around his back and into it's skimpy sheath. He recognized her face, but took a moment to remember the name that went with it. She wasn't noted in too many activates and didn't stand out all that much, but Ivan recognized that she was good on the battlefield. "Luna, right? If you're practicing for the Battle of Champions I can let you in the next room with me. It will be far less crowded."
