Alistair

He drew in a breath, before shifting his scholar's glasses. Looking at the party before him, but first he would make a much needed call to a good friend. Reynald. To ensure that he as well would hear the plans alongside the party, hoping that Reynald was close by or already at Susukino himself. "Hello Reynald! Long time no hear once more, I've got the plans for you to hear also, just in case." After that, he began with the plans.

"Plan 1. As we get to Susukino, I had planned of a more stealthy approach to our infiltration, involving a lot of camping, lots of calculated contact to one another. I would act as a runaway member of Suskino's list of populace, being taken in by Shineko preferably, he can fit the description of a soldier in the ranks of the Dictator's army very well. Plus I don't expect a massive amount of soldiers would be smart enough to dictate if Shineko was or wasn't a member of their ranks. From there, I bet Gyoken would want information, especially from someone trying to run away from Susukino. Without complying, I would probably be sentenced to an execution. This man likes to torture, and he likes to get his way without matter of the cost. He wouldn't care if I was a player or not..On the day of the execution, the rest of you will storm Susukino, cause a ruckus and from that diversion we take the battle outside. While a set of our group goes to find the lost player."

"Plan 2. We wait until the GM gets in contact with our lost player, and tells them to meet us at a certain spot with their guardian. To make sure we get them outta there as best as possible before we act on the overthrowing of this dictatorship. Its an easy, simple plan. But more time would be spent waiting on the GM's O.K. for us to move in. Not only that we could very well be caught off-guard if we aren't careful enough."

"Plan 3. We roll up and attack Susukino by itself! Force Gyoken to come to us. And battle him right then and there! If a leader is crushed, the band of misfits will cower because they don't have the big dog to defend them anymore, from there we'll go retreive our lost player. I'm betting Gyoken is a man who can be easily angered. This is probably the easiest of my plans, but also the most dumb in terms of how dangerous it could be. Any questions? Concerns? Comments even?"

Gyoken

The prison cells were damp, dark, and would chill even those with the hottest soul to the bone. Gyoken had emerged, gritting his teeth and clenching his katana in hand. He had done just what he said he would, torture the recently captured adventurer to peel some information from them. And it was easy enough, you just need to give them a push in the right direction.. "A rescue party, to find that little brat huh!? So they think they can continue this game. I've had quite enough of playing cat and mouse with the filthy peasants from across the lands.. This time. I'll meet this rescue party right in front of Susukino's gates. NO ONE gets in my way..." His anger grew, with it the flames within his sword would burn hotter if released. Gyoken made rounds, announcing to his foolish soldiers that another rescue party would soon turn up, and to allow all people of Susukino to join and watch as Gyoken personally exterminated the vermin that dare cross his lands. He wanted tables and seats set up outside so people could watch. Much like a tournament. ALL of Susukino would watch as Gyoken showed the populace that hope itself, is lost and that Gyoken was the only saviour left for them.
~
Hell was certainly coming to Susukino soon, a burning demon filled with rage and senseless chaos controlling it from up high in his towering mansion alongside a fox tail who stands in the shadows at his counsel. And a band of warriors ready to save Susukino from the Demon's clutches.

A harbinger of hope known to be a Reaper.
The Mad Alchemist infatuated with the Reaper himself.
An Egyptian Queen, and her loyal Butler, holding the embers of their once great Guild.
A mysterious Assassin with history among the Reaper.
A man with a good taste in alcohol, but also with martial arts
And the lost Samurai yet to be seen by the party.

Susukino, a poor place to be holed up and living by choice. Rok was paying very close attention to his surroundings, he had to, he was fully aware of the situation in Susukino, and he had a very condescending view on anyone and everyone involved. Children. That's what they are. Instead of abusing people, we should be trying to get back home. This isn't adapting. This is children being selfish because their number is bigger than anothers, or they know more people without lives like themselves... Rok sighed with disappointment. He was stuck in this world and he had adapted fairly quickly, yes, but it didn't mean he wanted to stay there. The Half-Orc's senses were much stronger than humans, he could feel an almost overwhelming physical strength in him, he got very angry, very easily, and although it's just a character, he could feel the Half-Orc becoming him and vice-versa.
Lost in his thought, he had approached the gates of Susukino, bear on his back, Wulf at his side. He simply walked through the gates, knowing that some of the mid to high level players slightly feared him. They had simply never been aware of the Viking class or the Half-Orc subclass and they weren't completely sure what he could do, however, Rok looked intimidating, and as a racial passive, he had the Aura of Bloodlust, simply just giving him an intimidating presence. Oh and the fact that he took down a level 50 Samurai by himself, stopping just before he killed the character. That was a story that circulated throughout Susukino, in Rok's favor. He had no interest in what was going on besides himself, training, and Wulf. As long as people didn't bother him, he wouldn't stick his nose in their business.
Rok found himself at the nearest low to mid level merchant, a tiny Dwarf, trembling in the presence of a large monstrous beast... And a dire wolf more than half of his size. Rok gave a forced smile and sold the boar hides, boar, wolf, and bear pelts, and much more. He was trying to improve his armor and maybe even find a blacksmith who could give him some better weapons. He already stood out in crowds, so he wanted some large weapons- larger than his current weapons- that made level 90s cower before him! .... Yea he knew he just needed to have the number by his player name be higher, because that's how these children saw power and authority in this world, so Rok was training.

Sayogoromo
Disguised as a Person of The Land
Things had turned out just the way he had hoped with, Gyoken. The man had given him an opportunity to prove himself and get involved in the fate of this city. Now, Sayogoromo just had to find the pesky adventurer. Still donning his female disguise, Sayogoromo wandered through the streets of, Susukino. His eyes attentively searched for someone’s that may be sneaking around and trying to avoid detection. So far all he saw were people attempting to avoid, Gyoken’s brutes. However, one person did stand out amongst the crowds in the streets. “An orc?” His eyes went to the large beast beside the stranger.

Slowly, a grin stretched across the woman’s face and, Sayogoromo stepped further back intimate the alley to hide himself for a moment. In a hurried manner, he returned the cloak to his inventory. The kimono underneath finally breathed as the red fabric was whipped around in the wind. He then took a very deep breath and suddenly, a clapping sound filled the air as, the woman dragged her own hand across her face. Sayogoromo hissed as the hand print formed upon the face.

“AHHHH!!” The woman stumbled out of the alleyway as if thrown by someone. Her long auburn hair fanned out around her as she fell to the snow-covered floor. “Please! Help me!” She quickly got up, fumbling to her feet with tears in her green eyes. Her gaze settled upon the orc stranger and without a second thought, she raced towards him on unbalanced feet. “Please help me! They’ve taken my litttle brother!” Her voice was desperate and broken as she reached out to the man, but was startled by the wolf and jumped back. “You’re a hunter right!? You could help me find him couldn’t you?” Tears rolled down her cheeks and her fingers tightly locked around each other.

Shineko listens as Alistair quickly goes over the different plans and thinks about what was said for a moment. "Alistair, you have outlined 3 plans. Since I don't think you are a fool, I would assume this means you have acquired some additional information about the situation in Susukino. I would like to say I don't like the plan of taking you into the city and handing you over to Gyoken. While he can't attack you while inside the city, I think it would be a bad idea and place you in more danger than necessary. While I may detest this dictator and his methods, I am not about to underestimate his ability since he did take over the city. There is no way to be sure he isn't aware or will become aware of our presence or plans. This could be a problem for the group. I have no issue going inside the city if needed to help make sure Gyoken is willing to come out and (for a moment shineko's voice takes on a very ominous and sadistic tone) play with us. If we were just planning to rescue our original target, I would advise going with your second plan but since we plan to free the whole city, it would probably be safer to leave the person hiding until we have accomplished this task just in case we somehow manage to fail. That would leave us with the last plan you stated. While it loses the element of surprise and could allow for things to go very wrong if he decides to have everyone attack us at once, I think this option is actually the easiest way for us to approach the situation. We can make plans on how to proceed based on the reception we receive and won't tie us to the city in case we are killed, at least as long as we don't actually enter the city. I have no issue going into the city to provoke both Gyoken and set up some level of discord among those who would follow him into battle to poke his rage since I am fairly confident in my ability to get out again without endangering myself unnecessarily. We could potentially use his rage to our advantage to get the odds in our favor and free the town."

"Who in the heck what?!" Rok was startled by a woman, an NPC, being tossed out of an alley and begin begging to him. Not only has that never happened before, but going to a Half-Orc for help? Whaaaat? Unheard of. Rok thought it would be a neat kind of a side quest situation and thought he might as well play along, get some experience, just finding another NPC. There were plenty of those in Norway. Wulf began a low growl, he could tell that something seemed off, but Rok just figured they could take the NPCs out if they gave them trouble. He knelt down to the Person of the Land and push a massive hand on her shoulder, "I know that I am not the best looker, but I'll accept you que- I mean I will help you out." He stood up and helped the woman up as well, "Tell me. Do you know who took him or where? And when did you last see him?" Rok needed info to find someone, since you know, you can't just sn i f f t h e m o u t .... "OR! Do you have anything of his? My little pup over here could try and track him down from his scent." Wulf nudged Rok with his large snout, but Rok just pet his head. The fact that the Person of the Land had come to him rather than anyone else didn't give him any qualms about the situation...

"Orrrrrrr let's just charge in, ding-a-lings blazing, beating up everyone there. I'm sure we can take them all out by ourselves. Because giving up our personal Reaper Alistair would be kind of stupid. I know I'm a genius and a master strategist, but you know what they say, 'One drunk and one nerd can get a lot of shit done.'" Bacchus stayed in a loose lotus position by the campfire and drank another one of his specialties, "The Knock Out Punch." A particularly weak alcoholic beverage that had some similar effects to marijuana, getting all high and chill. It helped Bacchus sleep. He kept thinking about what Shineko said, they really didn't know what they were up against, but they needed to free that city. People are taking advantage of the younger adventurers and it's sickening. Everyone should be working together to find a way out of Elder Tale, not fighting over power.

As Casandra

When the hand went to her shoulder, the woman shuddered as the canine’s growl had frightened her. However, the orc’s kind, reassuring words helped to calm her nerves. The auburn-haired lady’s eyes went up and stared at, Rok as he assisted her back to her feet. “Th-Thank you so much!” Her hands squeezed one another tightly and she held them close to her sizeable bosom. “I don’t have anything of his, we’re traveling merchants. He was taken by...adventurers.” As if afraid of casting the blame, she had whispered the word. “We’ve been running from them for days and I had to rest. They took him and our...” She quickly looked around and then her eyes trailed back to the powerful orc. “Our Phoenix. They took them both.” The tears in her eyes were renewed and she lowered her head to hide her reddening eyes. “Please! I’ll pay anything to have my brother back!”

The woman gasped and tried to catch her breath as best as she could. Her face red from the tears and the slap upon her face. “Would it be possible to track our Phoenix? My brother, Cassius was taken because he and the bird are linked to one another so they’re bound to be together.” Her eyes went to the large wolf and then up to the orc. She ran her right hand up into her hair and brushed back a few strands.

"Miss, if you have any more information, please tell me. I am certain that I can find your brother, all i need is where and when he was taken. I have an idea of what is going on however..." Rok knit his beetle brow and clenched his massive jaw. These must be Player Killers, making it seem like a side quest or something similar. They will try to ambush me, using the brother as bait. What kind of gamers could actually do this to people, even if they are a part of a game. Guess they haven't met the likes of me yet... Rok knew what this meant. If adventurers were resorting to this, they must be on the lower side of the spectrum for their levels, but there must be a few of them. Good thing he had a rare axe that could hit multiple enemies with every basic attack, and a few more tricks up his sleeve... Wulf kept his eyes on the woman in front of them, he still could sense something was wrong with this NPC. "Lead me to anywhere I must go- Oh, pardon me, ma'am, I didn't quite catch your name. My name is OdinsRok, you may call me Rok, or Ugly, whichever suits you best." He gave a seemingly forced smile then continued, "And this pup is Wulf, my companion." Rok held his hand out for a light handshake.

The woman tried to think of more details to give the orc after the man requested more information on the situation. Hearing that he had an hunch as to why things were happening brought a smile to her face. “My name is, Casandra. I’m so grateful to you, adventurer. I could never insult you.” Casandra bowed her head to the large warrior before she placed her dainty hand in his. The soft palm held the larger hand loosely and with a somewhat shaky grip. Excitement had started to bubble up within, Sayogoromo a while ago, now he was just uncontrollably happy. His tricks did seem to work far better now than when, Elder Tale was just a game. “I...I think that it’s only one person who has taken my brother. If it’s were a group, perhaps I could have seen them as they’d fled but...it all happened so fast.”

“My brother and I were traveling through the city’s alleyways in the hopes that we might avoid the, Adventurers. But we were spotted just there.” Casandra pulled her hand from, Rok’s and Pointed at the alley she had emerged from. “They grabbed my brother and his Phoenix. When I tried to stop them, they struck me down and fled.” Her green eyes slowly shifted back to, Rok and her left hand went up over the now bruising parting of her face. “I don’t have anymore information I can give you and I know it’s not much, but please...you’re the only one who seems to care.”

Cleopatra and Jeeves
Cleopatra and Jeeves had forced themselves to eat the cardboard-tasting meal. Unfortunately, until the secret for good food was uncovered, this was how all food in Elder Tale would taste like. Though despite the unpleasing food, the duo managed to maintain a more stoic look afterward thanks to the characters they role play as.

The two shifted their focus to Alistair returned and began to listen to his plans. "While the plans sound good, I agree with Shineko. While I like the subterfuge, I don't think we have a whole lot of time to wait around. It wouldn't be good if the player we're here to rescue finds himself in a predicament and most of our numbers are outside the city. I have a similar opinion for the second plan. While I'm sure we could deal with a surprise situation, it's possible that while we're waiting for the OK, Gyoken finds the player first. I think we should reach Susukino as soon as possible and ruffle Gyoken's feathers. He doesn't sound like the kind of man that diplomacy would work on anyway."

Vanessa
"Idiots...," Vanessa thought to herself. This was the third time one of Gyoken's lowly lackeys tried to stop her from snooping around Susukino. Luckily they backed off after she mentioned that she was on Gyoken's business. Even the lackeys were sensible enough to know that Gyoken wasn't someone to mess with. She rolled her eyes as she wondered what could be holding up Gyoken's message to his cronies. It was common practice to inform your associates after making a deal with someone right? Especially if said deal benefited him more than herself in the long run.

Or did it. A playful smirk appeared on her shaded face as she thought about how easy it was to manipulate Gyoken into thinking she was really on his side. There was the possibility that he didn't fully buy it and would betray her later, but she'd deal with that if it comes up. For now she had work to do.

Vanessa walked the streets for a while before stopping as she heard a pair of voices. The words 'brother' and 'phoenix' quickly caught her attention. "Sounds like someone else is looking for them too. Lucky me," she thought, playful grin growing wider. Vanessa followed the voices until she spotted a woman talking to a half-orc with a wolf accompanying him. She quickly contemplated if she should silently follow, but figured the wolf would sense her first and ditched the idea. Why not make the half-orc and woman think that she's on their side, while making the Gyoken crew think she's really on their side, but the whole time she was really on her own side. It was a playfully devious idea.

Vanessa quickened her pace and followed after the half-orc, likely alerting the wolf to her presence. "Word of advice, watch what you say in public, especially if the locals have it in for the person you're talking about."

Alistair

Listening to his allies and their comments, Alistair took off his glasses, rubbed them a bit against the cloth of his rather large long coat and placed them back on his face. Having nodded or shown some sort of approval to their concerns, he then decided the next bit of information was crucial for them to hear. "Yes, I have acquired some more information on Gyoken, on Susukino as a whole as well. Information you all definitely want to hear. But what I am going to say, does not leave this dungeon between us all." Alistair began once more relaying information from the GM. "Gyoken seems to have found out a new...ability, or skill. One that allows him to utulize elemental damage without any mage class players around him. This is unusual as it involves the sword he uses particularly. I've already begun thinking about the possibilities this might hold, and one of my guesses is that it pertains to the sub-class you choose that involves unlocking this skill. Gyoken is a Samurai, and his sub-class is a weaponsmith. What if he found a way to create weaponry that yields different properties with each kind of weapon? Not only that...Think about the massive backlash if people found out a secret skill could be unlocked for each player that changes the game in its own right, it could almost become catastrophic if not handled correctly...Let's say, what could the sub-class of chef do in Elder Tale? Or a Sigilmancer? Or Tracker? I've begun my investigation on this secret skill using my own sub-class. Though I've found nothing yet, perhaps I am not looking at it in the right way, or I'm just basing myself off of the game way too much to realize a lot more could be done...Gyoken is more dangerous than I anticipated. I decide on Plan 3. To me that is the best option of all. We NEED to end this quickly." With that, Alistair waited for his allies and their thoughts on the matter, he was no fool either..As much as he'd like to be careful sometimes you just really needed to wing it.

Gyoken

The plans for the stadium had already been met, people from all over Susukino were being notified of this special day. Guards from all over Susukino giving the information out to the people that, Gyoken will indeed hold an event and all must come to witness Gyoken destroy any outsiders, to Gyoken it was necessary to show his subjects who he is. A man of honor and respect in his own eyes. He would fight the outsiders, one on one if to show that he was a fair man. He stood outside, watching as his guards set up the stadium. He felt the chill in the air and the boiling of his blood was helping his anticipation of battle.. His sword rumbled with the desire to be unsheathed and release its fury. He lightly pat its handle, smirking "In due time...You will be able to taste blood once more."

Shineko listened to this additional information and was slightly annoyed. Not because it had been withheld or even that Gyoken had a nice new unique weapon but because Gyoken had managed to advance quicker on this subject than he had though their sub-class was different. Maybe it was easier for what he had in mind. But now that others here also knew about the extended possibilities, it becomes a matter of whether or not to share some of what he had managed to do so far. Considering that Gyoken had managed to make some advancement in this area and there could be others we don't know about as well. It would be best to at least give additional warning. With that decision in his head finally made, he spoke up after a brief time from when Alistair finished "I haven't finished my research but I can at least say that sigilmancers can do more than what they used to be able to do when this was just a game. As a game mechanic, we could give tattoos that would give an additional effect but required the tattoo not to be covered by anything." As to give a small demonstration, he walked over to where a small pile of firewood was and grabbed a small piece and brought it back. He held it up to show everyone and then set it on the ground for everyone to see. Then he inscribed a set of sigils to ignite a small flame and within a couple seconds a small fire sprang forth from the wood. "When this was a game, these sigils wouldn't work on inanimate objects like this. There was a lot you couldn't do or effect with sigils. Now, you can apply them to a lot more with the right understanding and knowledge. This is a small sample of what I believe is possible with the right understanding." Shineko put the flames out and looked back at Alistair with a meaningful look that conveyed a sense of danger and worry about what could be accomplished. "Alistair, I hope this gives you some idea of what can be accomplished." Then turning to address everyone, "If all the sub-classes work on the same basic principle as this did, forget what you think you know about how things work as a game and consider how you might would try to use them if this was a normal world. I can't promise that this will help you figure out anything new but I believe it is where we may need to start." Shineko moved back off to the side hoping he hadn't said too much and that he had made the right decision in sharing this information so openly.

"Pretty name, Cassandra. But since we don't have much go on, let's start by investigating the alley..." Wulf began growling and immediately turned around, followed by Rok, weapons in hands. Now what the hell is going on? This can't be a quest now. The second person to come up to him, she seemed very... manipulative... Rok didn't like that. He preferred straightforward. He checked the name of this new female player, much higher level. Dangerous to initiate any kind of combat. This whole thing is messed up. "Alright... Ms. Vanessa" an untrustworthy name indeed. "How would you know of this boy? This nice young lady seems to have said that this event very recently occurred. So one of you is not telling me something." Rok knew that most likely, the NPC was telling the truth and the player was just one of the scumbags in Susukino trying to get away with something. He had to be on guard. Wulf stayed a little bit to the side so he could be ready to pounce at either of them at a moment's notice. Rok really only trusted one of them... Wulf. And Wulf didn't seem to trust either of them as well. Rok needed to evacuate the scene as soon as possible. He needed more levels...

A small, sheepish smile stretched across, Casandra’s face when, Rok talked about her name. That smile quickly fled and her expression turned to one of panic when the wolf started to growl and a second adventurer approached them. Almost without hesitation, Casandra stepped closer to, Rok as if hiding behind him. Sayogoromo look over the unfamiliar face and examined the stranger’s appearance. “I’ve never seen this woman before.” Shyly, she inched closer to, Rok and raised both of her hands, then laid them on his right arm. “Did you see what happened to my brother and his Phoenix?” Most of the adventurers in this city we’re linked to, Gyoken in some way. But it would be risky to try and determine whether or not if this’ll person before the most was working for him.

“If you saw anything, please tell us. I have to find my brother and....we lack any useful information at the moment.” Casandra lowered her head in shame. He eyes cast upon the snow covered ground and her red kimono. The gears in, Sayogoromo’s mind quickly started to turn as he tried to work out a way around the suspicion that had started to fester within the orc.

Alistair

Alistair's eyes widened, with a sort of fascination and yet shock. What he had just seen from Shineko definitely defied the natural laws of Elder Tale..The game Alistair once knew was now gone..He could adapt easily, but he had never thought a day like this would come..Where he would witness the beginnings of a new discovery. Just what could he do with his Scribe sub-class then? Alistair inhaled and then exhaled, tapping his staff into the ground some. "Yes, Shineko. The information you've shown us could very well help us, and let us understand this new ability a lot easier. Research should definitely be done, and if possible..If I can corner Gyoken then I will get any information out of him as well. I hope everyone's ready for tomorrow. Because we'll be charging into Susukino. I haven't been in a big battle in a long time..It almost feels like a raid!" Alistair laughed, trying to lighten the mood of the company.

"Easy there, big fella. I'm just a cleric unfortunate enough to get stuck in this town. Even though our levels our different, as a combat class, you pose more of a threat to me than I do to you," Vanessa explained with honeyed words. "Though being a cleric does has it perks, like healing the bozos around here allowed me to get on Gyoken's good side, small as it is. I used my feminine charm to learn about the boy. Funny. He didn't mention a sister. Maybe he didn't know, but if you don't know where the kid is then you clearly aren't the player that's safely hiding him. Hmmmm...would that make you another player in Gyoken's pocket?" she asked Casandra/Sayogoromo. "I had my doubts that he was a man of his word."

"Kidding," she added with a foxy, feminine giggle. "Honestly, I just want to make a deal with whoever is protecting the kid, put Gyoken in his place, and leave Susukino behind me. I'm a lady, not some puppet who can pushed around."

Cleopatra and Jeeves

Cleopatra and Jeeves looked thoughtful after seeing Shineko's demonstration. "Do you think food works that way too?" they asked in unison. Cleopatra smiled warmly at Jeeves after realizing that they had spoke at the same time. Jeeves briefly smiled back, before replacing his smile with a stoic look in order to hide his real-world shyness. "Maybe food has to be cooked by hand for it to taste good," Cleopatra added, turning back to the group. It seemed like a logical theory, all things considered.

Realizing that it would be a good thing to rest up before entering Susukino tomorrow, Jeeves pulled out a sleeping bag with a royal, Egyptian design on it and gently put it on the ground. "You should get some rest, Cleopatra-sama," he said as he gently tapped her shoulder and motioned to the sleeping bag. "I'll start catching some Zs once you're settled," he quickly added, anticipating her telling him to get some rest himself. A good butler always makes sure his master is taken care of first.

Cleopatra nodded before standing up and making her way over toward her sleeping bag. She pulled up the game menus and started to mess with her loadout presets. A flash of light engulfed her and, once it was gone, she was suddenly wearing a silk sleeping gown. She crawled into her sleeping back and started to make a soft, purring sound as she drifted off to sleep.

Jeeves set up his own black sleeping bag near the cave wall, but instead of crawling into it, he laid on top of it like a mattress and didn't change out of his suit.
