Character Name: Seikatsu Sayogoromo (Last, First)

Nick-names: The Dark Healer, The Nogitsune Kannagi

Age: 26

Race: Fox-Tail

Gender: Male

Class: Kannagi, Lvl 90

Subclass: Courtesan, Lvl 90

Overskill: Overlay

Personality: Sayogoromo’s parents played a very large role in his figuring out who he is as a person. When he was young, freedom made him somewhat of a wild child. But time and experience have made him much more mild. At his core, Sayogoromo is always looking out for himself. Life on the run trained him mentally until he was able to ignore the suffering of others and protect himself. He isn’t as proud as someone might assume he is upon first meeting him. But, Sayogoromo is shameless and easily shrugs off his mistakes as life has taught him there’s no time to dwell on such things. While he can be lively and exciting at times, Sayogoromo’s illness has made him reluctant to be so. He’s almost always relaxed or trying to do things that allow him to be.

Chatting with others is extremely easy for, Sayogoromo thanks to his mother’s lessons and plenty of practice. Whether it’s old friends or total strangers, he doesn’t shy away from conversation and puts his skills to use to ensure the topic is of interest to the other person. More often than not, Sayogoromo pushes the boundaries and tends to invade the personal space of others. He’s a good listener, thanks to years of practice, and he can easily fake most emotions. Forming bonds with others is something that he struggles with however as most people he would befriend, would be viewed as a potential client, a source of income. In this new world however, most people might be enemies rather than friends. Unfortunately for those around him, Sayogoromo is quite dangerous and even friends can be thrown to the side if it would help him get something he wants.

Character Backstory:
Sayogoromo was born to, Mei and Kaito Seikatsu. The couple was married for twelve years before they thought about children as they had decided to take the time to create a stable environment for their child to come into.
Sayogoromo was unfortunately born with a virus. The illness damaged his lungs and makes is difficult for him to gain weight and keep that weight. Because of this condition his parents kept a watchful eyes on their child. The task was more so, Mei responsibility as she didn’t have to leave the house for or work. Mei owned small building next door to their house where she employed and trained geisha. Kaito worked a corporate job and sat behind a desk all day. So, Sayogoromo accompanied his mother everywhere she went and was often times watched over by one of t the geisha when, Mei needed to sleep. Sometime during this alone time, Mei decided that, Sayogoromo would take over her business when the time came as his illness wouldn’t take allow him too many options for work. So when he turned 7, they started to teach Sayogoromo the things he’d need to know to be successful. He learned about art and the many things that fell under its wide umbrella. He learned calligraphy, and how to play several string instruments. Kaito tried to teach him academic skills, like advanced maths and such, but they never clicked for him. He was good at history though.

Sayogoromo was in his late teens when a game called, Elder Tale was released. By then he had decided to work alongside the Geisha as a taikomochi in order to experience their work, and to pass the free time he had. His father purchased, Elder Tale in the hopes that it would keep his son from becoming too stuck in his current career and remind him that it wasn’t what they wanted for him. He was hesitant, but eventually he fell in love with the game. His love of history led him to pick a, Kannagi class and he picked, Courtesan as a subclass because he felt it would be useful in the future. At first he didn’t understand anything, but time and a bit off he’ll fixed that. With his real world charm and skills, Sayogoromo was able to convince other players to do things that furthered his own in-game agenda. He got more experienced players to take him on their raids, tricked others into taking pity on him and trading their useful items for cheap, and tricked a guild master into giving him a large sum of the guild’s gold, which he didn’t return. In order to save himself from embarrassment, the guild master had to leave the game. As the years went by, Sayogoromo gained a reputation as a useful party member, but was also known to be quite the trickster and troublemaker. Only people who had known him for long periods of time trusted him and those who didn’t trust him, tried the best to keep him at arm’s length.

When the, Apocalypse occurred, Sayogoromo was logging into the game like everyone else and hoped to play the new expansion. When he was put into the game, things changed. At first he was worried, but when he realized his. Illness hadn’t transferred into the game, that fear went away. He became accustomed to the world rather quickly and was able to pull some of his old tricks again, but with greater success now that they were physically in this world. The Round Table was a surprise to him as many people he’d cross paths with we’re apart of it.
Most recently, Sayogoromo has started searching for a worthy guild to join in order to progress through this new world.

Equipment Loadout: Shinto Priest’s Kariginu

Head: None

Body: Phantasmal-Class Sage’s Kariginu - A gift given to him before the, Apocalypse by a grateful player he teamed up with. Thanks to their high level tailor subclass they were able to create a special garment for him. Made of a dark-purple material, the garment follows the traditional Kariginu pattern.the under layers of the ensemble are made of a black material while the accents around the outfit are done in gold. The tailor was able to work one bonus into the outfit which shortened all of the wearer’s ability cooldowns by one second.

Hands: A set of black bandages around his right hand and arm that goes up to his shoulder.

Legs: None

Feet: Sage’s Geta - Another gifted item, given by a woodcutter who he once partied with. The wooden shoes given him a small boost to his MP points.

Weapon: The Semei Bow - Crafted by a Weapon Crafter, Sayogoromo assisted in hunting down the needed resources to craft the high-level bow. It’s a long-bow with seals and a variety of symbols etched into the wooden weapon. The, Weapon Crafter made the bow so that it would have lifesteal capabilities and slow enemies on hit.

Accessories: None

Character Appearance:
Sayogoromo designed his in-game appearance to match his real world appearance as much as possible. So he wasn’t surprised by his looks when he entered the game. His 120 pound body is of course, very thin and being six feet tall doesn’t help. Several of his bones are clearly defined thanks to his weight issues. Because he looks so sickly, Sayogoromo makes sure to take very good care of his olive skin. While it does lack a radiance expected of someone his age, his skin is still soft and smooth. Just above his chest, Sayogoromo‘s collarbone is proudly on display with his ribs being easy to see and count. His spine is just as visible as the aforementioned bones. Of course, his fingers are very thin with short nails painted black. Sayogoromo’s long legs are the same way and lead down to a set of toenails that are also painted black. Because he is underweight, whenever, Sayogoromo’s blood starts to race, the veins in his arms and hands become visible.

Long, silky, black hair cascades down his back to the top of his buttocks. His hair is well taken care of and his rather thick, but he looks like a member of the undead whenever it is not styled. Normally, he wears his hair in ways that women often would. Intricate styles and ornate accessories are normal for, Sayogoromo and his hair is normally done up in a classical shimada style. Golden combs, flowers, and a variety of items have been used to adorn his hair. As a, Fox Tail, Sayogoromo has fox ears and tails which he can hide is he choose to. He has nine tails and like his ears, they are white in color. Normally he keeps them hidden when engaged in combat so that he doesn’t draw any unwanted attention to himself,

A set of bangs usually hide, Sayogoromo’s forehead and come down far enough just to touch his thin eyebrows. Under his brow, a pair of eyes look out upon the world. A dark brown in color, narrow lids give them a sharp form, while skill allows them to switch between warm or dangerous at a moment’s notice. His black lashes create a dense canopy around his eyes and accent his eyebrows. Because he takes such good care of his skin, Sayogoromo’s sunken eyes do not look as bad as they could. His high cheekbones are close up under those brown eyes and are made more proud by the thin cheeks below. Thanks to his weight issues, his cheeks are rather shallow and add to his deathly appearance. A pair of supple, bow-shaped lips contradict his other features and the lovely smile they create, illuminates and somewhat revitalizes his countenance. Sayogoromo has perfect teeth and a pair of average ears hidden by his hair,, unless he’s wearing earrings.

Sayogoromo’s fashion taste runs away from the current norms of society. His daily attire consists of both susohiki and komon style kimonos, the style depending on his mood and planned daily activities. More often than not, Sayogoromo’s outfits are either brightly colored or simply warm. Very rarely does he wear dark colors. The only time that he strays from this preferred way of dressing, is when he has to engage combat and equip his battle attire.

Swapped Skill: Fox Fire for Heartbeat Healing

Extra: He is Homosexual.

Character Name: Sora Soriano / [FAKE]
Nick-names: Fixer, Self-Styled Greatest Crafter In All Theldesia, Shareholder, Genuine [FAKE]
Age: 43 / Forever 21
Race: Half Filipino/Half Japanese - Dwarf
Gender: Female/Female
Class: Bard 91
Subclass: Counterfeiter 92
Overskill: Genuine Fake (Named by [FAKE] herself, this Overskill takes advantage of both the Counterfeiter's flexibility and actual crafting skill born from research and working with other crafters. Instead of just copying items and their abilities, so long as she has witnessed the production of an item she can actually craft it. On paper, this sounds mundane, but in practice it allows her to make high level gear from the ground up regardless of specialty class required to make it. This also allows her to experiment since different crafting specialties confer different ranges of abilities to gear. Shields that specialize in offensive stats, weapons best used for defense, bombs that explode in aoe heals... the sky is the limit so long as she puts in the work and research necessary.)

Personality: [FAKE] has always been an opportunist. Honorable with contracts, she never the less focuses on what folks want and need and does her best to appeal to that market. Of course, as a Counterfeiter, this requires her to have people willing to work with her. Due to this, she is friendly and respectful towards others, clients and rivals alike. The only thing she cannot stand is the brand of idiocy that goes against the business model. Sometimes, if she feels they can learn, she will educate folks, doing her best to teach them why hoarding this or that or kidnapping girls off the streets is a bad idea. Other times? Well... when she is truly angry at a person, it will rarely involve her personally taking a shiv to their face. Instead, her anger is a dish served cold and from all directions.

After all, making lots of contacts also means spreading news VERY quickly. And while she cannot personally insure merchants and honest folk alike won;t deal with someone? She can spread news of their exploits very quickly. Just like her name, her smile is a Genuine Fake. Oft times completely believable and honest... and others? A mask hiding the vile curses echoing in her mind.

Character Backstory: Sora has always liked two things about MMOs. Crafting and Networking. Her father, an avid gamer himself, introduced her to Elder Tale when it first came out. Because her family consists of three siblings and more cousins than you can shake a stick at, Elder Tale became the ideal way to keep in touch with everyone. And through them, Sora learned of how best she could assist her extended family and their friends... which was by crafting and helping crafters. Which was why she started a small forum group, a quasi-Guild by the name of 'Market Share'. Originally a means for her and her family to share what they needed in terms of equipment and items, it slowly became a trading hub for friends and friends of friends around the world. Which items sold better in which areas? Where could one grind for certain materials or gear? In the end, Market Share became an official Guild, if only to make trading between servers easier. After all, all one needed to do was put items into the Guild Bank to transfer them over, the honor system holding firm amongst the group. With the coming of the new patch, there was even talk of possibly buying a personal Island as a guild base! Market Share became a large, extended family.

Of course, in that time Sora discovered the Counterfeiter Subclass, and instantly fell in love with the idea. After all, there were already many talented crafters in Market Share, the only downsides being that some of the best gear possible took time and expensive resources to make. With some set Counterfeiters like herself, they could corner the market on decent gear and outfit the Family easily. The downside, of course, was the fact that everything made by Counterfeiters had Fake in the name or description... which is how [FAKE] came to be created. By turning [FAKE] into a brand name for her personal counterfeits, she could elevate the worth of the items she could make, which in turn would reflect well on Market Share. And if Market Share grew popular, she could get more crafters and merchants to sign on and help out, thus increasing possible revenue and helping crafters in turn!

As the new expansion was getting closer to launch, [FAKE] became more and more eager to keep the ball rolling, stockpiling as much gold as Market Share could to make the dream of owning an entire island a reality! As soon as launch hit, she swore she would check prices....

When the Cataclysm hit, [FAKE] was at a loss of what to do. No forum meant no easy line of communication, since Market Share only had a minor presence in Japan, and due to the need to check prices and materials everywhere that meant that only a couple of members were even in the same city, the rest spread out in home cities across Theldesia. Even her own immediate family wasn't even in the same country. With the Fairy Gates a random mess and the large teleportation gates down, she started to feel worried she might never know the fate of her family and friends, since communication between Servers was almost impossible in-game.

... which was when she remembered the Honor System the Guild had. Rushing to the Guild Hall, [FAKE] created a quick letter.

"If you are safe, create a letter with your name and the Shareholders near you". After which she put her own name along with the names of those within message distance.

And as the first letters started flooding the storage, [FAKE] felt hope blooming in her breast. Market Share was still in business... only now? Now they had access to something truly important. Information. Looking out at a city full of Adventurers wrapped in despair, [FAKE] felt a smile spread across her new features. These folks had wants and needs, and she would help fulfill them. Not only that? She'd give them the best quality service she could provide. After all...

"If it's not High Quality? It's not a Genuine Fake."

In battle, [FAKE] focuses on being a back line support, utilizing Bard Songs and ranged attacks to help her party.

Love how the equipment is actually basing itself off of Scheherazade XD. I think it's a perfect character, and they might be called in by the Round Table Alliance sooner or later. Accepted!

too late to join?
It would be difficult to jump in where we are right now, but its not too far away from the beginning. It would just depend on if you would like to be in Susukino or Akihabara. But no, its not too lae to join. We've lost some players but its good to bring some in for that difference!

Overskill
Armored Siege God

This Overskill unlike most is a passive rather than a activation based ability but it's known to be one of the most powerful in terms of what it does as this Overskill gives Astaroth four abilities which have some connection to his armor/armors as they are much greater in size compared to other characters and can even expand in size as well.

  • The 1st being that he can wear lighter armor under heavier armor which can give him crazy defense & alot of bonuses in generally however this results in the him having less movement speed, less evasion & less attack speed unless the gear provided has effects that counter them. This debuff stacks depending on how many layers of armor that Astaroth has on.
  • The 2nd is that Astaroth causes the effects of set bonuses to get an additional effect depending on flavor text and what type of armor. This however causes an increase Mana Consumption & increase Skill Cast Time
  • The 3rd Gives Astaroth the ability to use other class - specific armor which are considered a lower weight class depending on what type it came from. Healer Class Armor is considered 'Clothes' - Which is lighter than Light Armor/ Light Armor (Light Guardian Armor) is considered to be 'Light Armor'/ Mage Class Armor are called 'Robes' - Which are little heavier than Light Armor/ Melee Attack Class Armor is called 'Leather' - Which is lighter than Medium Armor/ Medium Armor (Medium Guardian Armor) is known as 'Medium Armor'/ Warrior Class Armor (Aside From Guardian Armor) is called 'Combatant Armor' that is heavier than Medium Armor. Heavy Armor (Heavy Guardian Armor) is considered to be 'Heavy Armor/ The final and 8th layer of armor is known as 'Plate Armor' which counts Phantasmal Plate Armor for Guardians - specific only. This all comes with a catch which any bonus effects relating to class skills (Aside From Warrior Classes) don't count so it limits armor options for good sets & defense rates for all armor aside from Guardian Armor are halved.
  • The last ability for this Overskill is that if Astaroth has all 8 layers of armor then his 8th layer is considered to be a 'shield'. As a result, he gets an increase in his defense based on 15% percent of the what all of his armor's ratings put all together which leads to him being able of holding off against many high-damaging attacks unlike most other Warrior Classes and still has alot of damage potential based upon he can wield two-handed weapons and stll be protected. He can use shield-skills in the form of shoulderblocks, body-blocks, punches, headbutts and kicks but this causes self-damage to happen with every use which he can do more damage but it takes even more health afterwards.

Personality
In Real-Life, Bancho is a pretty chill person who likes to have fun and make jokes & such. Playing around with his buddies and hanging out whenever he can to have as much possible fun as he can whether it be playing some fighting games, going to a bar, going out to eat. doing some group chats, doing some streams with them or playing Elder Tale. Being loyal to those he cares about, he can get pretty furious if people begun to mess with his friends or family. One of things that some people know about him is that he always seem tired....all of the time no matter what time it is

In Game however... Bancho or Astaroth is quite rowdy and a high-energy fellow despite how his avatar might seem like a zombie. Despite being friendly, he scares everyone or makes people incredibly nervous because of how widely famous is in Elder Tale which anyone who put some serious time into it would know about the number 1 Guardian & Warrior-Based Class in the world. Astaroth is very knowledgeable about the in and outs of Elder Tale as he has proceed many guides relating to Raids, Builds, Tips & Tricks along with a popular Stream Channel that assist in anything related to Warriors. He doesn't have alot of friends beside his teammates so he has struggled to make new ones as he wants people to relies on when he needs them which means he has never joined a Guild but has helped many big guilds with raids & such all over the world. Having been tested time and time again, Astaroth has nerves of steel and more knowledge on how combat in Elder Tale works out having been their since the beginning and toughen it out year after year and stay with his most important character that he truly cared for that he has ever made through every expansion & every patch.

Character Backstory

Bancho was born in the southern part of Tokyo, Japan to small family of hard working folk. Bancho had expectations to be better than his old man and his mother through hard work and determination which lead to him be taught the art of carpentry like his father and his grandfather before him but Bancho didn't want to be like them, he had one love.... Video games. Begging his parents for them whenever he could and playing the absolute hell out of them until he finished them over and over and over again.

When he turned 15 years old, his uncle contacted him and asked for a favor. A new company was thinking of making a new game & they wanted Beta-Testers to find bugs, look at the product & see how if it's a good product...and Bancho jumped onto it. It would be a game and Bancho loved it, he was getting paid for it as well. Playing days worth of content for weeks straight and as much as he could. Which Bancho enjoyed his time playing and helping fix the game along with the other Beta-Testers for the year until it was released....and that game was Elder Tale. Playing and becoming one of the best players of Japan in the first couple years of playing until he was accepted on Japan's national esports team for Elder Tale. This is where Bancho's road to fame began as the first national tournament was a stunning victory for Japan which he played in many small-time and big tournaments, winning rewards upon rewards for his character along with becoming a professional gamer, he got his wish and got his dream job.

Having prove himself to become the best of the Warrior-Class Characters in the entire world even after all of the expansions, updates & patches. And as the twelfth patch came to Elder Tale. Bancho wondered....What he should do? He was getting old and he was wondering if he should retire as a legend instead of be known as someone who would be a shadow of his former self not even worth of once called the number 1 Warrior In the world....but that changed once he found himself stuck in his favorite game. Like everyone else, he was scared and he was freaking the hell out...but he couldn't show fear, he was considered to be the most powerful warrior and he had to toughen it out along with the others around so he did.

This lead to Bancho powerleveling himself and becoming a feared warrior for the Adventurers. Finding out and trying his best to maximize the effects of his Overskill along with the many rewards and things that he has earned over time from his tournament wins and many victories he earned over the years in both in duels & team-based tournaments which he is slowly but surely perfecting the build that took raiding, dueling, buying and gathering the many materials over his years in Elder Tale along with months he spent during the couple of months known as the catastrophe as he begins to make usage of the lifetime of enough that he put into a single game....to survive it.

Extra: Anything extra you want to tell? Feel free to add to your character!

Character Name: Shadow Takagami, ShadowTakagami

Nick-names: The shinobu samurai (This has died down ever since the Miyamoto shogunate disbanded)

Age: 30 in-game and 20 in real life

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Class: Samurai 85

Subclass: Blacksmith 85

Overskill: Overloading - For 3 mins, the attack speed, agility, evasion, and aggro generation is tripled but afterwards is paralyzed for 1 min but defense is increased until paralysis expires

Personality: Shadow is a calmly passionate person, that is to say that he often keeps a calm face and manner but he is very passionate about the things he likes. So most people who have heard or barely know anything about him will say that he's someone who is mainly just there. He can work well with others and help them get things done but there isn't really much in terms of reactions you can get out of him. That is until you actually get to know him, by that point he'll start showing more emotions around you. From that point you can see someone who is a good guy, he tries his best in a lot of things but its clear that he has to keep himself in a calm and blank state. Underneath his blank demeanour he is a really emotional person and is ready to express it to someone who is willing to see it.

Character Backstory:
Shadow was a pretty good child, student, etc. He really wouldn't be much if you look at him from a first look. I you decide to look deeper into him you will find he has been a part of quite a few extra-currcular activities like production, band, dance, and several more. Despite that, he has suffered from just being different. He has always liked anime, games, music, and dance to what could be seen as an extreme. Since he would often try to find time for those but that's because he really enjoy being a student. However he still gets at the very least satisfactory grades with some better since he at leasts puts in the necessary time for his studies much to his dismay. This along with how as he grew he started becoming alienated by his classmates for liking these things. So even as anime and gaming became more and more mainstream he just couldn't get out of where he was in terms of how his classmates thought of him. This combined with how his parents would force their ideologies onto him. This has led him to finding Elder Tale which was actually by chance. He plays a plethora of games of different but Elder Tale became one of the games he would play the most. While there would be times where he would take a break he had a lot of fun with Elder Tale. The game just clicked with Shadow, since it was such a great escape from what he would be forced to face in his real life he kept coming back.

When the apocalypse Shadow was at first just lost, he felt a convoluted feeling of joy but that was soon thwarted by the feeling of being lost now. It took some time before he decided to go out to see what he can do shake off the feeling of being lost. There he quickly found joy in being himself, as if he was just playing the game he found joy on being the samurai that was himself. Of course it took time to get the hang of it at level 80 but like many things he just kept going till he got the hang of it.

Extra:
Miyamoto shoganate: Ex-member
The first guild Shadow joined, he joined after having being recruited one day out of nowhere. He didn't really see the harm in it and so he accepted. Up to that point he was level 60 and was a solo act almost completly say for a few party fights and raids. It pretty much worked as if it was an actual samurai shogunate and he became one of the several lords (Co-leaders) of the guild. The guild was a role-playing guild with the goal of unifying the whole Japan server which is strange considering who the guild is named after. It would have been better named Nobunaga shoganate but I'm sure its obvious why that name wasn't used. There he started to learn about working teamwork in-depth as well as dedicating time to learning his role as a samurai and his playstyle in a party. His main goal is to deal damage and tank damage if there isn't a dedicated tank since samurai have naturally high HP. However he wouldn't have much skills that could draw aggro to himself so he did it by dealing the most damage which soon gave to a nickname thorugh the guild 'The shinobu samurai.' due to him having to move and attack very fast to deal out massive DPS. However the guild wouldn't last too long as internal issues between those who have the most power over the clan as well as real life issues started to tear the guild a part and so Shadow had to leave it as out of nowhere as he joined it. Thus he just continued as a solo act, he never really garnered any friends in the guild since it was quite strict on the role-play aspect and as such the roles were forced onto others as well as the 'lives' they would have to live.

Nihonto of light - A japanese spear designed for use by common people to defend themselves since not everyone can have katanas. This specific nihonto was especially made to deal with all dark ephemeral being more effectively. [Aquired from a questline involving helping the farmers with dark ephemeral monsters. Deals damage to dark ephemerals with natural attacks but skills will deal extra damage as the blade becomes infused with the light element]

Silk robe - A samura's non-war combat wear as well as their casual wear. [Aquired through a shop]

Banner of loyalty - A banner with a flag for the purpose of inspiring morale of those involved [Aquired from a questline of a samurai war. Increases attack and defense of self and party as long as the banner stands.]

Sleeping bag of recovery - A sleeping bag that is able to bring the sense of relief and well-being to those who drink it [Aquried from a questline with a traveling merchant. Recovers hp in intervals.]

Newlywed's cooking apron - [Aquired from a quest]

Forging hammer - [Bought from a store]

Whispering wind - An arrow enchanted with the blessing of the winds that is able to travel at great speeds and can't be seen by others until its too late [Aquired from another player who dumped their unwanted things to Shadow but Shadow doesn't use beacuse he's heard some rumours that these are best used with a certain bow. The arrows will be unseen and untrackable when used and may travel at high speeds.]

High-end Yukata - A high-end Yukata to wear for fomal events [Aquired from a tailor]

I have better gear for later on after I get to lvl 90 and some experience here if this is still alive
