'' Yeah... But I don't really have a great voice.'' he added while scrolling on his computer and finally finding a folder with music sheets and lyrics that he had wrote. '' These is a few stuff I did, and I think you could be the vocalist.'' he added taking his guitar and tuning it. He then started playing a few accords and sang the lyrics on the screen to show him the beat and the octave he should use. He had heard him say he never took courses so he probably didn't know how to read a muscial sheet.

Ezra listened intently, surprised that Derek actually wanted him to be a vocalist, and slowly he grinned and nodded. "Dude yeah I am definitely doing this." He read through the lyrics and half smiled as he read. "This sounds like my kind of stuff..." He went from a half smile to a full genuine grin and looked back at Derek. "If you actually want me to sing for your band then consider me in!"

'' Well Band..It's more like a duo..I don't feel like dealing with someone else and i can do most of the instruments.'' Derek said monotonously. He didn't want to have some other person, that might or might not be good at the instruments he does. Anyways, a Duo was more easy to handle. '' And yes.. I wouldn't have asked you.'' he added before starting to play the intro.

Ezra grinned, happy with the sound of just a duo, it would mean he wouldn't have to meet anyone else or run around with the hassle of having to find someone who was as good at instruments as Derek was. When Derek began to play the intro to the song, Ezra began to sing, sitting upright in his chair and nodding his head along to the beat, singing as well as he possibly could, which was as well as Derek played instruments. He, as usual, hit every note perfectly, and didn't look half bad doing so. When they finished the song all the way through Ezra looked at Derek and grinned, "was that ok?"

Before Derek could even answer, he heard Jessica outside of the door screaming out of admiration and she knocked repeatedly on the door. '' Oh my freaking god!! You guys are like the perfect duo!'' she said as Derek opened the door and she faked wiping a tear from her eyes. Derek sighted and simply nodded, he couldn't argue with her. Derek sat back on his chair as Jessica just placed her chin on his head and poked him in the cheek everytime he would talk with a devious smile. '' So, yeah. It was good. We could make a youtube channel and make it kind of a club, since we can get extra credits for it. I need someone to make the videos and anyway,just a small team I guess...Jess, can you please stop poking me?'' he said and giggled every time she poked him. He wasn't really sure what he was expecting from this. He was a perfectionist, so if he started something, it had to be the right way or it would take the highway.

Ezra nodded slowly, "if we need someone to edit videos, well my sister is pretty good at it, she edits videos for her boyfriends stupid short films so I think we could probably rope her into it, unless you have someone else in mind." Ezra shrugged, getting ideas out there was important, and he sort of felt like he owed it to his sister after being a bit off with her this morning. Ezra tried to keep a straight face even though Jessica was poking Derek constantly, but failed and ended up laughing a little, then a little more. Inside Ezra was feeling excited, adrenaline rushing through him at the prospect of a duo, music making, something he really, really wanted to do.

'' Yeah that could be cool... I know that one guy that actually really loves making lots of videos. His in the movie Club but recently he told me online that he was thinking of joining another club or something..'' Derek said looking up at Jessica, '' By the way Jess, You are being particularly annoying nowadays.'' he said looking at her bored. Jessica smirked and grabbed his nose a bit ticked off, '' Say that again you freak giant?'' she said pulling his noise up. He only groaned and rubbed his nose in pain, '' That was embarrassing..'' he mumbled blushing a bit and looking back at his screen. Jessica finally got a seat and sat next to them,'' Were you talking about David?'' she asked a bit curious.

Excitedly, Ezra nodded, "this David guy sounds cool, we should ask him if he'll do it for us." He smiled and looked at both of them, and at Derek blushing. He grinned at them and pointed from Derek to Jessica. "So... You guys seem really happy together. How long have you been together?" He asked, leaning back in his chair, smiling at them both.

Derek didn't understand what Ezra meant at first, '' Childhood.'' he answered to concentrated on his screen. Jessica looked at him confused and simply slapped behind his head, '' What are you talking about Derek!? We never dated'' she said/shout. Derek immediately turned to Ezra with Wide eyes, '' NO.'' he said. Jessica only approved with a nod while Derek looked back at the screen, '' Why does everyone believe that anyway?''

Ezra opened his mouth then closed it again, and started laughing hysterically. "Are you serious? Everyone thinks it because, honestly, you just act like a couple." He shrugged his shoulders. "My bad guys, sorry about that." He grinned at them, thinking about how they really did act like a couple with eachother, and how they fought like an old married couple. But that could probably be explained by, as Derek had said, childhood. If they had been best friends all their lives maybe they would fight like theyre married. Ezra just grinned and went a little red, feeling a little embarrassed that he had pointed out something that was wrong, but at least now he knew that they weren't a couple.

Both cheek pinked a bit and looked away feeling a bit awkward since no one had really asked them to both at the same time. Jessica and decided to break the silence, '' Anyway! Say Ezra..what really happened at the cafeteria? Did you know the guy? cause he sure seemed to do..'' she said unsure if she should aboard the subject, but felt like it was needed. Derek didn't want to jump in but had his ears wide open to hear anything. He didn't know him that well and he was actually curious.

Ezra leaned back in his chair and turned it from side to side slowly, he loved swivel chairs, it relaxed him to just be able to rotate it whenever he wanted. He nodded, "Yeah that guy went to one of my high schools a year or so back before I moved to another school when I got... Relocated." Ezra smiled, feeling like they needed a little bit more of a backstory on him and Russell, "From the minute I got to that school he had something out for me, and if he found out anything, true or false, he'd use it to just rip into me like he did today. When he found out about.." He hesitated slightly, unsure of whether or not to continue, but he did anyway, "About my parents dying, he used that most of all, it got pretty bad, like he'd try and reenact them dying to me if I walked past, like screaming and..." Ezra shuddered a little then continued, "and then when my grandparents died and I got relocated to my Aunts i finally got rid of him, and then now he's here, he's gonna rip into me again at the slightest things." Ezra shrugged and wheeled his chair to his desk, opening up his laptop, when his laptop screen loaded there was a picture of him, Genie, and another guy, Max. Ezra realised he'd need to change that picture seen as the sight of Max made his flesh crawl.

Jessica listened to everything finding it very disrespectfull from Russell and would pummel him anytime. It disgusted her that kind of people. She could see Derek tensing up, she even heard his mumble about how annoying was and never pitied him even in middle school. Jessica sighted and looked back at Ezra with a small side small,"well, we are here now! Friends aren't we?" She said confidently while laying her head on Derek's back. She didn't care with people would think of them.They were simply very close, as hell! They use to bath together in kindergarden, she had technically seen him naked. Derek didn't move but simply nodded as he found David's profile on facebook. He turned the computer screen and showed it to Ezra,"it's him.. David Levy Ackerman. His weird but bareble. " he said remembering his odd personality, or was it Derek's personality who made it awkward. He wasn't sure yet. Jessica sighted, " His cute...how unfortunate." She said,"i bet i could of been cute with him, don't you think Derek?" She said amused. Derek rolled his eyes,"you would look like a pedophile and would probably terrorize him. Stay single it's better for humanity." He said muffling a small laugh but controlling himself. Jessica's eyes were half closed frowning at him with a pained face, " fuck you Derek." She said standing up and going to Derek's night table, knowing there was chocolate in the drawer for sure. She grabbed one of the kit kats and started eating it glaring at Derek. " Same to you Jess~" he answered back with a small smile across his face.

Ezra nodded and grinned when Jessica mentioned that they were friends, it was a great feeling to know that he actually had friends, people who cared and who he could talk to. He leaned forward in his chair and looked at David's profile picture, something inside his stomach nagging at him, but he dismissed it as nerves.


"Why is it unfortunate?" He asked looking from Jess to Derek. He looked at the picture again and studied the guys face, the feeling in his stomach was there again but he just thought it was illness, and that was all he thought.

Jessica wasn't fond on telling him exactly why and preferred being vag, she crossed her arms and legs,"long story short, he would never be interested in me.." She said sighting at the end. Derek shrugged as Jessica said so, he didn't see the problem in that "He's gay." He simply stated . Jessica just threw her hands in the air with wide eyes, " oh come on Derek, it's not your place to just say it like that!" She said in a exasperated tone. Derek shrugged, not caring what she had to say. She gave up and looked back at Ezra, " so... As Derek said with no tact whatsoever, his more interested in guys."

So David was gay. Ezra was pretty interested in this David guy, he sounded pretty cool and it seemed Derek and Jessica knew him quite well, and... Ezra looked at the screen again, the feeling still in his stomach, he looked over David's face. He's pretty attractive... Ezra raised his eyebrows for a second, clearing the thoughts from his head quickly, blushing a little bit and hoping it went unnoticed, feeling slightly ashamed that he'd thought that, looking at the screen before turning it back to Derek and moving back over to his desk on his chair, and clicking on the internet icon on his laptop. "Oh right," he said nodding. He didn't see anything wrong with David being gay and so shrugged, leaning forward in his chair and tapping his fingers on the desk. "We should ask him, if he's good at editing things." Ezra brought up Tumblr and sat scrolling through it absentmindedly, most of attention being on Derek, Jessica, and the idea of this David kid.


Why did I think he was attractive? Ezra wondered, biting the inside of his cheek awkwardly, I'm not gay.. Ezra tried to clear his mind and shut his eyes, leaning back in his chair, opening them again he grinned at Jess and Derek.

Derek look back at her, '' Why? That's what he is.'' he said coldly. He wasn't homophobic or anything, he didn't care at all. But he wasn't the type to get all cozy with that kind of people except for professional purpose. Jessica just leaned on Derek shoulder, '' Well, you don't have to say it like that!'' she said but more calmly. '' Hey! His online now! tell him to skype us!'' Jessica said excitedly stealing all control of the computer, Derek whining about how controlling she was. She pressed the call button and David Immediately accepted, the video call started and he just grinned widely. Obviously he had taken a nap, and since it was around diner time he woke up. David grinned rubbing his eyes while holding his Ipod with the other hand. '' Hey guys! How are you yall?'' he said softly with an evident accent.

Ezra looked over at the computer screen as David who was pretty much shirtless and had bed head, and yet he still looked good. If Ezra had a nap or something when he woke up he'd look like a sloth or something. He quickly averted his gaze back to tumblr and scrolled down it, the sound of Davids voice making his stomach feel weird again. What was wrong with him? He reblogged a few things on tumblr and then searched for an image to change his background to, settling on a picture of Genie and him around Christmas last year.

Both of the childhood friend greeted him, Jessica mostly since Derek just had a small smile on his face. Derek looked at them both curious as to what they called him, '' So..It's quite rare that-'' he was cut of as Jessica started talking, '' I'm so happy to see you! It sucks that we weren't in the same class like last year!!!'' Jessica said a sad smile. Darek just laughed, '' Oh come on Jess.. At least we are still in the same school!'' he said trying to cheer her up. Derek just looked at Jessica with a bored expression, she just looked back at him with a I-don't-care-what-you-think-way and Derek sighted, smiling. David chuckled, '' You guys are still the same even after Summer.'' he stated happily. Derek nodded and put on a serious face, '' So.. I wondered if you wanted to join that club we are doing and all.. Need like an editor and video clip kind of thing.'' he said. David was wide eye, '' Yes of course! with whom yall planning to do this with? I know Jess isn't'' he asked since he only saw both of the friends.

"Me," Ezra said enthusiastically, even with this feeling of nervousness and confusion building up inside him he still was excited to start this whole club thing. He stood up and walked over to Jessica and Derek, pulling his chair with him so that he could sit with them in line of the camera, he spun on his chair slowly from side to side, and waved slightly at David. "He's planning to do this with me. Hi!" He said and leaned back in his chair comfortably. Out of the whole school thing so far his favourite thing would be the possibility of a band, but following in close second was this chair, for some reason it was so comfortable and he just loved it. He grinned at David, trying to keep a calm sense of mind and willing his stomach to just calm down and get over it.


David looked at him and bit his lip, pointing, "Who is this kid?" He grinned, raising an eyebrow at him. "Derek, I am definitely in with this project." David looked to be eyeing Ezra up and Ezra blushed a little bit, butterflies on the inside of his stomach. Leaning back in his chair he mentally slapped himself. I'm not gay! He kept repeating in his head.

Derek looked at both, " awesome.. And you know David, that stare you are giving can make anyone uncomfortable. " he said just stating it since it creeped him out too. Jessica just laughed since.. It was kind of true. He was just a very handsome guy! David looked offended but Jessica just made him blush eventually,"He only says that cause he finds you hot!" She said playfully elbowing Derek. He glared at her," Do not." He added but David just pouted in pain,"That's sooo mean from u Dereky bear!" He whinned. Derek blushed in embarrassment, " where the hell did u hear that-" he immediatly stopped once he saw Jessica trying to tip toe towards the exit and looked at him with a dont kill me look. Derek stormed towards her pinning her to his bed, she screamed at first but started laughing hysterically after since he was tickling her.

Ezra moved out of the way of Jessica's flailing arms and back to his bed, sitting on it and watching Jessicas torment, when he heard Davids voice. "Guys, whats your room number I'm gonna come over!" He exclaimed, and Ezra absentmindedly messed with his hair to make sure that it looked okay, still laughing about Jessica who was now screaming. Ezra made a mental note to use that against Derek, and laughed loudly at her trying to defend herself still. He heard Derek quietly reply to David and him nod, before turning off the facetime, and a few minutes later a knock at the door sounded.

Jessica couldn't handle it anymore as Derek continued to tickle her. '' Stop HAHA Stop please AHAHAH Have pity!!!'' she almost shouted. At that point Derek just laughed and dropped next to her still laughing loudly. He could only be like this with the people he loved, his family and friends(which was a lot). Jessica was red from all the tickling, and straighten herself up still laughing as Derek removed himself from on top of her. It wasn't weird to be like this, they were use to it. Derek straighten himself up, wiping a tear from his eye and looking straight at her. He honestly adored this girl from the moment he met her. It was instant friendship, what was crazy is that he was the one who had initiated, back at the days were he was actually social. Jessica only grinned, letting her head drop on his shoulder as his arm was over his shoulder. Both still chuckling, Derek looked at her '' You're crazy..'' he said. Jessica retorted immediately after, '' As far as I know, I wasn't tickling myself to death.'' she said while removing her head from his shoulder. David grinned at both, waving at them. Derek stood up and nodded to acknowledge his presents, Jessica grinned widely and greeted him.

Ezra sat awkwardly in the corner when David came in, looking him over discretely, and he pretty much liked what he saw. He blushed a little bit and looked down before going to sit in his spinny chair again, saying hi to David who sat on Dereks desk chair while joking with Jessica. Ezra looked around the room quietly and tapped his fingers to the beat of the song from earlier while humming it under his breath, thinking. It was all right to think a guy was attractive wasn't it? It didn't necessarily have to make you gay, right? Ezra looked up and at David, Jessica and Derek were bickering about something again, and David just stared right at him, biting his lip trying to look sexy and it kind of worked. Ezra blushed a little again, doing a slight smile, and didn't notice that Jessica had noticed him, while he looked around the room at Dereks posters. David made conversation about what the project was with Derek, while Ezra just avoided eye contact.

Jessica looked at Ezra and winked at him, basically saying I saw you blushing. Maybe he interpreted as an advance but she didn't care as she saw the hour pass fast. '' Oh shit I got to go! Homework on the first day...'' she said a bit sad but shrugged. '' So bye guys!'' she said exiting the room. Derek had waved at her, but was busy talking to David. ' So basically, me and Ezra are going to make the soundtrack and once i finish editing or wtv, you could make whatever kind of video that you believe is fitted, and we could updated on a youtube channel.'' he said as he went on youtube. David nodded all along, '' I love this Idea! I'll go submit a club request at the council tomorrow since I know the president.'' David said winking at Derek. Him on the other hand slightly pinked but glared at him. David simply laughed and tapped his shoulder, '' Oh how I love doing those stuff with you!'' he said playfully. Derek just rolled his eyes, '' yeah yeah whatever. Do you guys want to chose a band name now?'' he asked looking at Ezra.
