Gary sat on his bed as he looked down at the large helmet looking object in his hands. This was it; virtual reality. Supposedly the final frontier for video games. He wasn't quite sure what to think about it just yet, but from what he saw from the preview videos and the like, it was supposed to be immersive as all hell. He sighed as he placed the strange device on his head and sat down on his large, soft bed.


"Link....start?"


He wasn't quite sure if those were the words that let him into the game, but he was quickly reassured as he felt his consciousness being pulled somewhere else.


He was brought to a screen after a moment or two where a large model of a human was. Apparently this was character creation. He put a finger to his chin in thought. He hadn't really expected the game to be like this, and didn't have an image of what he wanted to be. He shrugged as he began to try to make, what he calls, 'Better Me'. He essentially made himself, but taller, beefier, and with longer hair and a handsome face with blue eyes. After he was done, he hit the play button near his hand and he felt the sucking sensation once again.


When he opened his eyes, he found himself in the middle of the town. It was very lively, with people and NPCs everywhere. Odd. He HAD Beta-Tested this game around a month or two ago.....so why was everything so different? He didn't remember this town at all....


He stood there in the middle of town, scratching his head in confusion.

Tobi locked his door sighing nervously as the screams from downstairs escalated. He was sweating as he slid into his bed pulling out the drawer underneath revealing his nerve gear. Bringing it onto his head he activated the sequence checks. Lights and whirring sounds initiated as he whispered to himself " I got to get away i got to get away take me to there... take me to SAO" he breathed as the green oks gave the all clear "Link start" he stated as the sound of glass breaking downstairs resounded throughout the house. Suddenly he wasnt at home he was in the menu stream creating his character which he used his beta saved data. Once complete he was whisked through a hyper light looking tunnel and then he was in the town square. Exhaling another relief filled sigh his eyes moved to the first training area. "If i remember correctly it is to the south" He explained to himself as he started walking to the southern gate.

Miyuka walks into her room quickly. She was way to hyped to play SAO again. That game was epic, virtual reality mmo's are the coolest. She grabs her nerve gear and grins. She proceeded to turn it on then place it onto her head. She then lays down on her bed. "Link start!!" She says excitedly. She was welcomed with the screen that starts the game then she quickly proceeded to choose her language and the game SAO. After she logged in.


In a flash of light Aero appeared in the last town she left off in, the town of beginnings. After a few blink her vision returned to her and she looks around as she slight blurriness clears up. She was pumped and ready to grind some mobs. She had acknowledged that somethings were different from beta but she dismissed it like always. A smirks creeps upon her lips as she walks through the streets.

As Tobias walked toward the south gate he caught a glimpse of blood red and he almost instinctively knew who it was. Picking up his pace he followed until he got a clearer view. The build the hair and the weapon choice, yup it was definitely her. "If it isnt the Bloodlust Maiden here to escort a member of the vanguard around, How you doing Aero excited to be back?" He called to her with a hand extended to pat her on the shoulder.

Aero's smirk widens as she hears that voice. "Course I am. Being well known is just refreshing and irl sucks." She replies but turns around to face him before he can pat her on the shoulder. Her golden eyes were filled with excitment. She was definitely more excited then she was letting off. "What about you hm?" She asks while blowing her bangs out of her face.

Tobias brought his hand back to the back of his head along with the other as if leaning back moving to her side to walk beside her. "Any day in this world is a great one" He expressed it was scary how she would make comments that seemed to relate to him but Tobi normally just shrugged them off. "So where you headed? The areas are a bit different but the place we grinded at last time should still be to the south i am headed there now" Her eyes showed way more than her words could ever about her excitment and he was at her level in that regard.

"Ah sweet." Aero replies with a fist pump. "That place was like a gold mine!" She exclaims as her smirk turns to a cheeky grin. Aero was in a very good mood which was on the rarer side and when that did happen she'd become way more upbeat and childish. A nice change from distant, menacing, and flat out rude. Aero turned and began to walk south, "to the south!" She says way to loudly with a chuckle.

Tobias' smile was equally matched with hers as he too did a fist pump "To the south!" He exclaimed just as loudly earning the duo some awkward glances. He did not care though here he could be anyone and anything he wanted. His shell was coming off now that he was no longer Tobi Aizawa. He followed Aero to the southern area which were thick reed fields normally filled with field rabbits and wolves. These enemies would be easy to dispatch and dropped a decent amount of col and items for beginners. As if on instinct Tobias slowed his pace readying his hand moving to his back to grasp his spear. "To the right" he called out as a mob of field rabbits burst from the reeds to graze on the artificial grass. "On your lead" He breathed calmly his eyes fixated on the surrounding area.

Aero's smirk returns as she grabs her rapier and she was already near where the rabbits had came hopping from. In a quick and graceful slice she takes two down, you wouldnt be able to see the tip of her sword from the speed of her blade. Yes these were quite easy to kill yet her strength wasnt the best. Her built was based in speed and agility. She'd step back signalling for him to attack. She wanted a harder leveled monster.. These were easy and she wanted to work on her speed and agility.

Gary raised an eyebrow as a menu popped up in front of him. It was asking what his username would be. Odd. It should have remembered that from the beta. He entered 'Golden Disciple', and after a few moments, a large okay appeared in front of him, along with some text saying it was 'Transferring items'.


A flash of light later, and he was in the armor he found while in the beta. He was glad to have it; he was told that it was an extremely rare find. He opened his inventory to see if his weapon was still there....and sure enough, there it was. He pulled it out of the inventory with a smile.

It had been a while since he had held Gules, but it still felt as natural as ever. He put it on his back and began to make his way......south. As far as he remembered, that's where the good grinding spots were.


As he moved out of town, he passed two familiar looking people.....Aero and her little boy-toy. He decided it was best not to converse with them; he didn't get along that well with other beta testers. He moved past them, trying to keep his head down, as he scanned the fields for monsters to slay.

Tobias read the queue immediately taking two quick strides before twisting his right arm around arcing the spearhead at the remaining two rabbits the red damage phaseline appearing across their bodies where his blade had just struck before they dissipated into pixels awarding him some col and rabbit furs which he would sell for more currency. Replacing the spear on his back he looked over his shoulder seeing Aero's displeasure. "This way" He called her over as he pushed into the reeds not moving that far before coming upon some kobold field workers. Yes he thought the mob was still here statiomed around an unlit campfire. Six enemies in total they were more nimble than any of the animal type of monsters in the area. This time Tobias did not wait instead he rushed forward his spear thrusting ahead impaling two of the kobolds as they exploded a third was mid air bringing down a sickle toward his body. Readjusting on the fly Tobi sidestepped the creature then brought his blade in a full circle cutting the kobold across the back his spearhead shining orange as he did so utilizing his sword skill arcing blade dispatching that kobold. "Switch!" He exclaimed as the other three kobolds now beared down on him. Tobias trusted Aero's skills and aheathed his spear whistling a little as they beelined toward him.

Nick sits in his wheelchair in his lush apartment


His headset in his lap completing the advanced charecter creation module he ordered to build a charecter of his proportion requirements It cost a lot but then...so did everything else he had why settle when you don't have to


He puts his head on "let's roll" he says


Using his custom start up phrase again why settle


His avatar was already programmed to his specifications so he went strait to the first town appearing in the square he goes to work finding a party to join

In a flash Aero was next to him. Her blade glowed a teal as she sends a barrage of precise and quick stabbing motions at the monsters. She'd step forward slicing down on one then dodging another that sent a sickle flying towards her. She does a back bend kicking off the ground with both of her legs then propelling herself with her arms at the Kobold closest to her. Her feet would collide with the Kobold's chest far to fast for it to attack or dodge, shoving it back into the others, away from Tobias. She lands on her back but quickly flips herself up and instantly plunges her rapier into the Kobold's chest. It's health reaches 0 and it dissolves into particles. Aero then advances towards the next Kobold as the one slightly behind it sends a sickle towards her. She easily dodges it and jumps up and spins. She uses the momentum of the spin, her speed, and small thin blade, to slice at the Kobold and cut off its head. It dissolves into particles and she lands in the ground gracefully. As she lands the last Kobalt attacked her. She blocks it with her rapier and then her blade begins to glow teal once again. She sends a different bareage of stabbing and slicing attacks at it and it dissolves into particles. She killed them relatively fast but with way more hits. Aero then turns around to face Tobias.

Yashiro's eyes fell over to his bed. He was seated at a desk in his room, glasses in place on the bridge of his nose and his dark-gray eyes showing signs of drowsiness. Staying up all night with only a few naps in between wasn't his average schedule, but the boy had testing coming up. He studied all night and kept his every-day schedule for the mornings and afternoons. Although, sitting upon his bed was a nerve gear helmet, and alongside it a game. His friend had loaned him the two items in attempt to pull the teenager away from books and into something more "modern" instead. MMOs were the best he could come up with.


Yashiro stood up with a soft huff, going over to the bed and laying down on his side. He lifted over the game. It was new, hadn't even been opened yet. Which Shiro found curious. He expected his friend to give him an older game, but whatever. Sitting against his wall and placing the nerve gear onto his head, the tired male decided to test out the device so he could at least tell his friend he tried it. He had the game in place and closed his eyes.


Immediately after he opened up the game it felt like the breathe was taken out of him. He logged in, making a new avatar and everything before he was placed into the virtual world. What he saw surprised him. It looked similar enough to the real world that if he didn't know any better, he would've thought he teleported to some foreign part of Earth. His eyes wandered around, combing each and every one of his surroundings with careful eyes.

Tobias had just waited for the mere seconds it took Aero to gracefully and acrobatically destroy the kobolds. He watched onward tilting his head slightly to the right to dodge the flying sickle sent there way. Once Aero was done he smiled lifting uphis hand to send a thumbs up her way before waving her toward the lone tree standing in the middle of the reed fields. The field manager another kobold would be waiting there a field boss which would be an even better challenge for the pair as his pitchfork would match Tobias' reach so getting close enough to hit would normally be an issue but not with Aero's speed and his matched agility. It was Aeros turn to take lead and distract the beast so Tobias could surprise it not with an attack but a ploy that would result in a parry so Aero could strike him. " On you" he whispered from the reeds taking his position.

Aero simply nods and takes off running, slightly grazing its arm with her rapier to get its attention. It's gaze follows her as she stands a bit away so its back would be turned to Tobias. She's shift her weight from one foot to the other ready if it attacks.

Akane opened the door to her apartment and quickkly walked in, closing the door behind her. She dropped her keys and bag on the counter, taking her shoes of shortly after. She walked into her bedroom, immediately locking her eyes onto her new Nerve Gear headset. She had bought it only a few days ago along with a new game, Sword Art Online.


She walked slowly towards her bed before climbing on top of it, lying down, and pulling the headset over her head. She stared at her cieling through the visor for a few moments, cotemplating what she was getting herself into, it would be her first VRMMO after all. After another moment of silence she whispered the sealing words, "Link Start".


There was a moment of disorientation before Akane found herself infront of a character creation screen. She took her time, making her character look just like she wanted to, before finishing it. A warning screen popped up asking what she wanted to name her character, saying she couldn't start unless she wrote something. After a moments pondering she decided to keep it simple and just name the character after herself. No one she knew played these games anways, so what was the harm in doing so?


After creating her chracter Akane was whisked away into a completely knew world. It took her a moment to even remember that it was in fact virtual, because everything looked so real. She looked down at her body, it felt weird, moving in a body that wasn't yours. Everything was moving, NPCs and players alike. She decided it would be best to go buy some armor and weapons with the money she was given.

Akane was now suited up with some beginner armor and a beginner weapon. She saw that a few people were heading south, and decided it would be the best direction to go in. As soon as she exited town she saw a large field with some beginner enemies all around. She spotted some other players fighting mobs, but decided she rather play on her own for now.


It was her first time playing a game like this, so it took her a moment to adjust to the fighting mechanics and style, but after awhile she had gotten the hang of it and was kicking animal butt. She continued her grinding patters, slowly learning and gaing EXP.

Tobias jumped out of the reeds coming to a slide as he hit the kobold in the lower portion of his neck instantly gaining its attention. The plan had worked and what was better was that since he and Aero had played together before it took no communication. The kobold leered toward him spouting some nonsense he couldnt understand. " yeah yeah you big dumb lizard" he breathed unenthusiastically in retort before pointing back toward his partner it would be to late for him to catch the attacks he was undoubtedly about to recieve.

(Well i gtg to bed so cya xD ) Aero nods running towards Tobias. While she ran she jabbed her rapier into the monsters side and continued to slice it as she ran. Once she made it to him she'd pull her rapier out and block the attack meant for him. She gives Tobias a slight-change-in-the-plan look then slightly struggling with its strength. She was being pushed back. Her next area to work on was strength.. She need that drastically.

For the past ten minutes or so, Disciple had been in this large field, slaying the high-end mobs of the beginning enemies. They were relatively easy, especially with Gules and his armor by his side, and he felt like this game was going to be a breeze. Another high level boar approached him and charged, to which Disciple merely sidestepped and quickly plunged Gules into the boars stomach. It dissapeared from existence and he reviewed some Col for dispatching it. He smiled to himself as he looked out among the endless field of green that was the game. Sometimes, you just had to stop and smell the roses...

Tobias' face was far more serious now that the plan had played out the way it did. Seeing Aero struggling he wasted no time, Sprinting toward the tree then leaping off the ground. As he made contact he pushed off with all his strength sailing into the air. Spinning Tobias kicked his left leg over to adjust his rotation now above Aero and the kobold his poised his spear as it shone brightly its orange blaze "Heaven's Spiral!" He yelled out as both his arms thrust the spear downward driving the shaft deep into the beasts back through out of its chest. Tobias and the kobold were driven to the ground the boy now straddling the monster his spear firmly pinning it to the ground. "Now Aero!" He queued for her to finish the kobold as its health had only a sliver remaining.

Aero nods thrusting her rapier into its head then just for show she slices down cutting into it. Its health reaches 0 then It dissolves into a particles. She gains quite some col from that and xp. "Ok that was cool. Is that like new or something?!" She asks.

Tobias stands sheathing his spear an eyebrow raised before shrugging to the girl. "You got me, He was never that difficult before maybe they tweaked the AI and if that is the case this is going to be a whole new experience" He stated happily as he closed his menu a new set of fingerless gloves appearing onto his hands. Looking around some things were different, Tobi had a feeling like there was a vibe or inkling that just felt off. "Alright well whatever it is doesnt matter what is our next step from here?"
