“It could save your life. You can make it so only party members see it you know?”, Forest says, “my backup is something that nobody would ever expect because I have a few enemies. I also learned telempathy so I can take items out from my inventory. It’s simple to equip a gas mask and a splash potion of rest. I reccomend you get those just in case. I have a few backup plans, but that just one to keep in mind for yourself. I might not be able to use it now that I’ve said it aloud, but you don’t have enemies yet, so it’s the purfect time to start coming up with some.”

“I can see how someone like you could have enemies,” he flashes a mocking smile “who taught you anyway”

“It was mainly three people that taught me. And most of my enemies were made because I wanted to do the right thing. Most people aren’t trustworthy”, Forest coughs into his arm, “one Of my enemies is the owner of this restaurant, but he won’t do anything to me because he knows that people will be suspicious of him if I don’t show up at least twice a week to make sure that nothing happens. I’ve memorized how long it takes them to cook each dish for people. So I know that the ingredients are different if they try to give me something else.”,

he chuckles, “once the guy tried to refuse me service, but a lot of people didn’t trust him afterwards and he lost a lot of business, so he ‘ordered’ me to come back. I gave him the condition that I would if I get half off on all food I order. We both hate each other, and he knows that I’m not the kinda guy to not do the job right just because he gives me a discount so I’ll keep eating here. There hasn’t been an incident in a while, but I still warn people and eat here. It’s almost like I’m advertising for him. So long as I keep coming back here, his food won’t won’t have any problems.”

Eli nods to forest. "i don't want any enemys. I want to be everyone's friend!" she smiled sweetly. It became painstakingly apparent as to why her highest stat was charisma

“I agree”, Ryan smiles, “I’m just terrible at it”

“I don’t try to make enemies, I just know to be careful. I have a pretty good charisma stat, but if people have a higher stat, it isn’t as effective. I don’t ever try to use it though.”, Forest says

“Calm down glow butt with your look I think you going to have to worry about people constantly hitting on you”

Eli tilted her head in confusion. "nobody would hit on me" she laughed as if he told a really funny joke "I'm not attractive in just a short weirdo" she giggled to herself

“Tell that to Ryan”, Forest laughs

“Hey!”, Ryan is still holding the rag

She looks even more confused "no seriously. I've never been asked out before. Nobody wanted this ass in the real world so why would they here?" she shrugs and looks away "it doesn't really bothers me though. I've got my books and video games" she giggles

Ryan has an intense inner struggle for a few seconds on wether he wants to say something, “I don’t know if I believe that”

“It should be out in 3 minutes”, Forest says, “or the soup will be at least. The noodles will be out in 5. The steak should be coming soon.”

The waitress brings out the soup.
Forest looks at the soup making a square with his hands, “it’s good”, he starts eating it.

The waitress brings out a maggelok steak and the sides that it comes with

“That looks... weird.”, Ryan says

“Don’t worry, it’s good. And it isn’t rubbery even though it has tentacles.”, Forest replies.

Ryan takes a bite, “it tastes like beef!”

“That’s why we call it a steak even though it’s prepared the way it is.” Forest says.

"i wonder when my pasta is gonna get here. If i don't eat soon I'm gonna eat one of you guys in so hungry" she giggled to herself and held her stomach over exaggerating "look at me! I'm wasting away!"

“It will be near in 3... 2...”

The waitress comes over with both plates of food, “enjoy”, she smiles at Eli.

"ooooooOoooo it smells so good. Thank you Stephanie!!" she grinned at the waitresses and got ready to eat.

The waitress nods and pours some glasses of water

“The shavings have a similar flavor to shrimp and chicken mixed with a tiny bit of garlic powder. The noodles are a lot like ramen with the flavor a bit like Alfredo. The sauce is something all it’s own. I can’t really compare it to anything on earth. I hope you like it”, Forest says

Elli eats his food in silent contempt

“This is some pretty good steak”, Ryan says.

“Yep. The soup is pretty good too.”, Forest says

Eli immediately starts eating "oooo this is good!" she smiles to herself completely beaming with happiness

 

[RoseAstasia]

“I’m glad you enjoy it”, Forest smiles briefly then continues to eat his soup . He stops for a second to check the other foods like he did his own, then the people eating, “all clear.”, he continues to eat

“What even is this sauce?”, Ryan says as he eats the cocktail sized tentacles.

“It’s called scarlet sauce. It’s made specifically for Maggelok.”

“It’s so good!”

Eli finishes her food before everyone else considering she started the latest. She put her hands on her stomach and leans back sighing with content "i love food.."

“Food is so good”, Ryan says

“I would hope so, it’s gourmet.”, Forest says, “it’s food created to be the most like foods on earth. There are plenty of other tastes that are different, but they just don’t feel like home. You can tell that they don’t exist anywhere else because they are so different and usually a little better. But in a way that feels artificial. For some reason.”

She nods thinking. "make sense i guess. I can't wait to try all the foods this world has to offer! I swear it's like a black hole instead of a stomach!"
