[Gears]

Taura got to her feet as the explosion went off- the sudden win nocking her to the ground. "Fuckin hell- you got angry at my guns last time- I even went silent." She grumbled before shooting the beast she had been fighting. Charlie poked his head from his hiding spot- covering his ears as they rang.

Danny didn't expect James to set off an explosion like that but he did understand why he did that. Those birds were tough and a kick to either his or James head before they could get back up would be deadly. Still Taura had a point to be angry over the noise, not that Danny heard what she said. His ears were ringing too loudly as he stood back up and dusted himself off.

 

[Jagson]

James shook his head as his ears rang. He looked over at Taura. "You already rang the dinner bell. I just sent out the invitation. He picked up his gun and started firing at the birds. He felt bad about it. These weren't some dungeon generated mobs they were actual beautiful creatures forced into the dungeon just like them. Each shot was calculated to try and not let the birds suffer.

More soilder goblins appeared. Kimiko whiped the blood off of her blade and moved to meet the coming onslaught. Brian stood beside her.
"Kyō wa shinu no ni yoi hida." (Today is a good day to die.) Brian said as he got on all fours and rushed the goblins. She nodded and fallowed.

Since the explosion and Taura's shooting would no doubt draw a lot of attention Danny took out both his vine whip and hula hoop at once and equipped both. Before following Brian and Kimiko into the horde he also poured some of the plant sap onto the blades of the hoop. Afterwards he ran towards a group of soldier goblins and began hulaing through them, hoping to paralyze enough of the soldiers that he didn't get overwhelmed before he or someone else could finish them off.

 

[Gears]

Taura sighed and raised her guns, rushing towards the horde. The world seemed to freeze as she held both weapons in her usual stance, each bullet finding their mark as she stayed still, preferring to bring down the enemies that surrounded her rather than flee. She didn't fear ranged attackers, and the high caliber took down targets with every shot- she whispered a beat as she worked, falling into a rhythm she had clearly practiced. Every time her lead ran dry she swapped to her second gun while reloading with one hand. Error erupted from the shadows with a distorted screech, hacking into the birds like a madman, covering any that might have an opening on his partner.

 

[Jagson]

James focused on the goblin Horde and kept firing until he ran out. He saw some of the Feline Goblins in their ranks along with bad Chuahah. That name seemed redundant.

Seeing no other choice he grabbed a poker from one of the downed goblins soilders and ran at them.

Kimiko and Brain worked in tandem watching each other's backs as they mowed down the goblins

Sphinx faught against the other dogs.

Despite Danny successfully paralyzing some of the goblins there were plenty that weren't affected by the plant sap. Before long it got bad enough that he had to fight his way back out of the horde to avoid running out of health. The goblins attacking him were too close to hit with his whip and just smart enough to hit him where the hula hoop wasn't. Even as he took constant damage he managed to use a shoulder throw on an unparalyzed goblin and clear a path back out to relative safety. Using this he successfully left the horde and retreated behind the cover of James and Taura while he regained his hp.

 

[Gears]

Taura held her ground for five calculated movements. She would shift a bit in some robotic motion, a rhythm to her step as if she was used to some element of this strange battle, Brass falling from her gun with ringing as she stood before an endless horde- sweat trickling down her face and neck- but still cool; breathes coordinated with the cadence she had been following this whole time. Each enemy was hit dead center- right between the eyes.

Error was soon lost in reckless bloodshed, either leaving enemies partially maimed or brutalized in the chaos- not noticing as a rogue goblin charged from his flank, ignoring the living shadow and swinging a spear at Taura. The Tiefling cried out as she felt blood trickle from a wound- a long gash along her arms and chest, falling to the ground as the beast prepared to trample her- weapons thrown aside in the chaos.

 

[Jagson]

James heard Taura cry in pain. He turned around and saw a rouge stabbing her. He ran and dealt with it before grabbing her and using heal on her.

'Hey Bugs." He screamed hoping that the rabbit heard. "The birds are gone get your ass in motion."

The goblin heard was lessening only around twenty five left.

Danny watched the others fight as his hp slowly recovered, wanting to help but not yet confident he was in any shape to do. However the moment his health was above 30% he took out his vine whip and began hitting whatever goblins he could without getting too close to the actual action.

 

[Gears]

Charlie emerged from his hiding spot- a small trench he had dug with his spoon- looking out for a second before nodding, still shaking before charging forward- becoming a blur before slamming into the wave- sending a few goblins flying as he swung his spoon like a baseball bat- green creatures falling with the sounds of screams and broken bones. Taura nodded, getting to her feet and firing into the mass- stance a bit nervous as she fought off enemies, Error joining her side after noticing her attack

 

[Jagson]

One of the goblins issues a retreat seeing how overwhelming force wasn't doing much. But before he is able to run Kikiko beheads him.

The remaining five goblins out of a hundred run away deeper into their territory. Breathing hard James slumped down. His level raised by two and saw notifications. He decided he would look at them later.

All the dead had a crawler name above them most likely for who can loot what.

After the battle was over and the five surviving goblins had fled Danny saw that he had reached 4 and in fact was almost at level 5. He decided that even with his hula hoop being able to hit able multiple enemies rushing into a group of hostile mob was too risky to try again, at least until he was ale to use the fire fist spell on it. " Whew glad that's over."

 

[Gears]

Charlie sat down- tired from the second burst of energy in such little time, wishing he something to eat. Error trudged toward the Rabbit-Kin, proffering a Hamburger that seemed to materialize from his form- though Charlie could not see the living shadow, only a warping in the air- and the hint of eyes. he accepted the food and dug in.

Taura rebolstered her weapons before checking on her wound- the healing spell's effects only letting her fight, now she gritted her teeth from the pain as she poured a bottle of rubbing alcohol on the wound, listening to it bubble before she bandaged it.

 

[Jagson]

James leaned back barely standing. He looked at his stats his mark manship and explosive handling went up a level. He was now level 5 and half way to six.

"So next time someone has a bright idea to blow up a bird or fire a loud gun keep it to yourself." Brian said. "They're probably going to come back soon. We should move out."

 

[Venchi1986]

"Good idea." After James suggested they leave Danny offered Charlie a hand to help him up. Part of him wanted to go back to the safe room and let everyone get some proper rest but that could give the goblins more time to prepare for the attack on the chieftain. Neither that nor fighting tired sounded very appealing. "So are we going back or still going after the chief?"

 

[Jagson]

James got up slowly still recovering from the Cassowary kick. "Let's keep moving inwards there should be a safe room somewhere near by in goblin territory." He walked to the corpses with his name marked over them and started to look. They had nothing worth mentioning.

 

[Gears]

Taura followed behind, with Error watching her- likely somehow knowing she was acting fine- but her side still hurt like hell. It took everything not to sit down and cry, let the wound win- but she had to get moving- she didn't even scavenge the bodies. There was no point- she was going to die at some point in this place.

Charlie eagerly looked under each corpse, searching for treasures. Once it was clear the others didn't want their share, he eagerly sped around all of them- likely draining a considerable amount of his pool of energy. He finished with mostly useless objects- stuff the others would deem useless: A small wooden figure, A riders hat, a map, some strange white powder- filling the confines of his hat with junk.

Danny nodded, perfectly willing to go along with James' plan. On the way he inspected the bodies of the goblins he had killed, but aside from four poorly made wooden spears found nothing. He still put them in his inventory, even if they never proved useful he could always sell them if they ever reached a store. "Not the best loot to be honest."

 

[Jagson]

James nodded in agreement. Most of his loot went into the crafting tab. "You all ready to go?" He asked getting nods from Brian and Kimiko. Sphinx his fur covered in blood nodded before seeing the distress in Taurua. He walked beside her gently rubbing against her.

It seemed Taura was in rough shape, having it even worse than the blood covered Sphinx. Still everyone else was ready to go and they couldn't stay there so off they went. Danny kept his HUD open, wanting to see any hostile mobs around coming so they would have time to prepare if they had to fight again

 

[Gears]

Taura held her side as ERROR helped her move, using her free hand to hold on to her revolver. Er was the better fighter among the pair and if he was worrying about her that could put the others in danger. She strained to look for any signs of hostiles, trudging through mud and filth as they moved on from the battle. When the blood covered dog approached, she smiled a bit and leaned down to pet him, not caring about the blood- her own blood was all over her shirt- she would need a new one, with the gaping hole and crimson stains.

 

[Jagson]

James looked at his map and headed towards further in keeping an eye out for goblins until finding a door marked safe room. "Hey Taura this is a safe room don't fire your gun." I say before opening the door and walking in. Inside looked like the inside of a McDonalds. He stepped in and and felt cold air hitting his face. He walked over to one of the benches and pretty much collapsed.

Once the group was inside the safe room Danny just immediately sat down next to James. While he was glad they had found a place they could rest he wished it was somewhere with alcohol as he felt they could all use a drink. There was no use complaining it though so instead to check and see if he got any rewards from the battle. It seemed he had gotten two achievements from rushing in each coming with a loot box.

New Achievement! Human Blender: You managed to hit several enemies with a single bladed weapon at once. Bronze Adventurers Box
New Achievement: Reckless! You willingly ran into a bunch of monsters and survived despite getting surrounded and nearly beaten to death. Silver Risktaker box
Silver Adventurers Box: 2 health potions and 1 mana potion
Silver Risktaker box: Goblin nitroglycerin. Even more unstable than goblin dynamite, the explosion is also slightly more powerful. Handle with care or don't, results should be entertaining either way.
Vial of Acid Don't get the contents of this bottle on you, and especially don't mistake it for a potion.

Danny wondered if the warning on the acid meant the A.I had intentionally given him a bunch of different bottles. "Hey, is anyone interested in nitroglycerine or a bottle of acid?"

 

[Gears]

Taura muttered something about hating fast food as she sat down at one of the benches, Error wandering off somewhere. She stretched for a second before removing her bandage, checking it for signs of rot- luckily she still had her medical kit. After washing it with alcohol again she rebandaged the wound, wishing she had some regular alcohol along with the medical variety. "I'll pass." She said, voice a bit dry- maybe she would eat a bit of the junk food. She opened her achievements and sighed, finding three.
Yee-Haw: Take down a rider, but leave the steed- Collect Demon Stallion; summonable (Cooldown one day)
High Noon: They'll tell stories of you back at the saloon- might even get free drinks. (Collect booze once per day, and after every battle)
Big Iron on her Hip: Confront an unending horde with your guns- (Collect one Rifle)

"When we reach the assholes who built this place, I am going to punch whoever makes these western references." Taura equiped her the shotgun, checking it before strapping it to her back- finally collecting her booze- a bottle labeled Devil's Brew. She tossed the cork aside and took along drink, coughing a bit of smoke after a second- that shit burned like hell- and probably was made in this places equivalent of hell

Charlie's ears perked up at the mention of explosives, mouth shifting into an insane grin that would make some wonder if Jim Carrey had been a reference when he was designed. The Rabbit-Kin grabbed the bottles and started pulling objects from his hat, humming as he began to work on something.
Achievement- Coward: Flee a battle because of a strange fear- said fear can randomly appear in the day.
