Dreams of the Second Age

Well regardless of which choice I make in the two I'm mulling over, you won't be the only major combatant, I can tell you that much.

We can discuss the options of having the whole group being from the stasis chambers from the First Age; it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to rewind a bit.

It's also that is like to focus less on combat for a character in this game. Thinking an Eclipse caste leader rather than night caste assassin. This is mostly cause I've had my fill of playing combat Solar.

Shall we do a complete reboot? Work on characters from scratch?

I'd be down for that, but I can work with it either way. FYI: my two choices that I'm still digging through are a lunar assassin/courtesan, and a sidereal doctor who is specialized in creating diseases/plagues, as basic concepts for the other players.

I haven't heard from @Seeker of the End yet; he expressed an interest in the game a while ago but I had no room. I am ok with a reboot, I just need to make sure that everyone is on board for that.

Thats cool. So, we have a couple of options. First and easiest is, everyone that wants to tweaks their characters to fit with one another and we say that everyone has been together from the beginning, and what has gone on in the earlier posts has happened (meeting Pyter and Mor'du, going out of the city to where Murdock hangs his shingle, meeting the Fae, etc).

The second is a total redo from the very first post. That means we ignore everything done and I restart from the moment that everyone wakes up with Pyter and Mor'du coming to see you for the first time. There are some advantages to both, and I'm willing to work with either one.

I can work with either one. With either character, to be honest. I had a really terrible day and am a little drunk, but that doesn't inhibit my ability to make characters, amusingly enough, so if we decide on something I can probably finish tonight.

As I said, it would be easier on me to just have a few tweaks made to characters (or have them made) and say that what has happened so far is still a going concern. But, you guys may have made different choices leading up to this point with a different character set. So, I shall make an executive decision and say that all that has gone on before is all null and void. We are going to restart from the point where you are waking up in the stasis pods. This way, everyone is on the same page.

Sherwood, if we're doing a do-over, would it be possible to reduce the number of allied NPCs we start off with to just Pyter? I know you like your NPCs and I always find them fun, but sometimes I feel like the scene is a little too crowded. Plus, not having options/allies and making due with what we have is apart of the fun of being a PC in any game, IMO.

Pyter it is. Any other feedback? I'm open to suggestions. ( :) )

I'm just happy to be in the game to be honest. :P I'm fine with a reboot, especially since I might get the chance to use my awesome Night Caste concept. He literally has a suit of 5-dot powerarmor grafted to him permanently.

And then I introduce the Rust Monster! Mwuhahaha!

Seriously, welcome to the game. We now have our four Exalts from the First Age.

So, what is everyone going to be? I'm still a Twilight Reality Engineer, what's everyone else?

Doing that would make me lean more towards the Sidereal, as Pyter would be his mentor, but that doesn't change much from my end. You'd get a sidereal martial artist with a focus on poison and healing. Unless you guys would really prefer having a lunar, in which case I'm easily able to adapt, because I can easily use the concept of the Changing Moon Lunar courtesan/assassin. I'm flexible.

Since we are starting back at the beginning, obviously Abyssals and Infernals are once more off limits. If there is a passionate plea for a Sidereal, I may let one in, but not more than that, and Dragon Blooded are not to the power level of the rest of you.

Then depending on what Rykon changes to, I'll probably go Sidereal. No need for overlap in a smaller group. Though that may make me change a little bit up on what kind of martial arts I go for, I may shoot for a more combat oriented sidereal.

Cool deal. If you go that route, you would have started out as a student of Olivia, with Duncan as a fellow student that has just recently Exalted. When he returns as Pyter, he will happily take the role of mentor for you.

Nice. I really want to play this concept, but I can definitely work around to alter it to be a more combat oriented healer/murderer if Rykon doesn't want to do combat junkie.

Just to let you guys know, there will be the occasional fight. You are not going to be able to talk your way out of all the upcoming battles, so having at least some combat oriented Charms (even if you want to focus on other areas) will be a good thing. I would request that you have more under your belts than just combat Charms, though. I want everyone to be able to participate in not only the fight scenes, but the nation building parts, too.

Thanks for hearing me out, again my concept is going to be a social focused Eclipse Caste with a much more modest combat contribution of archery (probably plasma tongue repeaters), and dodge.

No problem. I want everyone to be a part of this game and to enjoy themselves. Just as soon as characters are done let me know so I can start the story again.

By the way I know a 5th who is interested. His concept is more of a focused Crafter(as in some craft charms aside from Wyld Shaping)/Doctor
