Fandom Dragon Ball: Limitless!

Karas sprinted off after Eve, feeling the Commander's and Zarytto's energy signatures reaching a fever pitch. They were smaller than usual (particularly the Commander), but running rampant with violent emotion. Bloodlust. Fighting spirit. He could feel their battlefield emotions through their signature, just as he could identify a robot from an organic via ki signature. He managed to get outside just as the battle was beginning. It was violent, vicious, and brutal. Even though the Commander was at half power, they were going all-out in terms of skill and pure, direct force. Eventually, as the battle began to reach its final stages, Karas was hopeful that the Commander would be capable of taking Zarytto down. However, it seemed that Zarytto was using far more strategy than he had before. Was he learning from his mistakes? Time would tell...

And then, to Karas' shock, it was a double K.O! Each fighter made a crater on impact. He observed Eve and Era going over to get each of them. Of course Eve went to Zarytto, since obviously her condition wasn't cured from just one conversation, and he thought Raze would have been the one to haul the Commander back to the infirmary, but to his mild surprise it was Era who did so instead.

With the situation under control, Karas walked back inside the ship to get started on the day's work. In his lab, the thicker ki pathways, extra-large ki cell, and bigger ki capacitors were still there.

The first thing he did was order Tragedy and Comedy to his lab with the computer in his arm. Then, he dismantled them, taking out their power systems and draining their energy cells down to zero. Then, he took the two cells and put them in a drawer for used parts. They were rather small, all things considered. Artificial ki was expensive, and while 20-50,000 was a lot for a normal Saiyan, Karas could have done a lot more if he had a bigger budget at the time. Besides, he had never even heard of anything over 100,000, so at the time he thought it was a moot point to add even more ki storage anyway.

There was one final thing he needed to do before he went to check on Korvaiis (he was ignoring Zarytto's plight altogether due to the man's extremely antisocial behavior when he was conscious). That was, fill the robots' new power cells to the brim. He took out the much larger new cells, with a power level of about 7/5 million each, 20 million when combined as Black Comedy. They were fat, metal egg-like things as thick as Karas' thigh. Stuffing these babies into the robots' normal frames would require a good deal of internal remodeling, but he could do it. He built the robots, didn't he? But before he did any of that, he would need to charge them up to make sure they worked. And they took a while to fill. Karas took the large cells over to a bank of charging cradles. He had about five in all, and he selected the two most heavy-duty models he had. They were of different wattages, meaning that one cell would charge faster than the other. But they would both charge just fine, which was what he needed. He snapped the two cells into place, and satisfied, he walked out of the room, his footsteps the only sound breaking the serenity of his inner sanctum. The door closed behind him, and he headed to the infirmary to meet with the others.

Karas entered the room with Eve, Kentan, and Era some time later, just in time to catch Eve's explanation. It was interesting seeing Kentan move like a trained professional. He wouldn't think that a biologist would make a good surgeon, but he supposed that was what being a prodigy did to you. Like he was one to talk, with the ridiculous stuff he did on a regular basis. The things he had built could have been the work of entire research teams, but he had pulled off the vast majority of his tasks all by himself. It was quite a wonder, really. Karas sat on a nearby chair meant for visitors, and listened to the conversation.

@Kyero

He then noticed Era next to the Commander's unconscious form. "So, Era, I've been thinking about the incident," he said, putting his arms behind his head, "And the only explanation I can come up with is that Korvaiis wanted to earn Zarytto's respect. Zarytto's a staunch Saiyan conservative, so maybe the Commander felt that besting him in battle would set him on the path to becoming a team player or something. Personally, I think that's incredibly misguided if true, but I suppose giving Zarytto a chance to redeem himself wouldn't hurt. But I think he wouldn't take it in a million years, not with a double knockout. What do you think?"

Era listened to the conversations and suggestions going on back and forth with little interest. All she really cared about now was how the Commander would fare. He was in very bad shape, even for him. But when the decision was made to have the Commander in the chamber first, she immediately went about lifting him gently before having Nei help her put him inside.

Once the Commander was hooked up and ready, the chamber was filled with its special fluids and the clock began.

She was then spoken to by Karas, offering a thought or two about why this transpired.

"... Knowing the Commander as I do, I don't think it's that simple. He doesn't care about the respect of others until he knows that they have earned his first. Once someone else earns his respect, that's when he actually makes an effort to earn and keep their respect in return."

She cast a glance back to where Zarytto was.

"Zarytto either lost the Commander's respect or never had it in the first place. I guarantee this had nothing to do with respect. The Commander wanted something more out of this. That's always how it goes with him." She said softly.

She looked back to the Commander who was unconscious in the chamber as the last of the fluid filled to the brim, and the long wait began.

Kentan continued to listen and make eye contact as Eve continued on with the small explanation, also mentioning about a prison cell which he was curious but didn't bother to ask. "Leaving a comrade to fight a battle that you know has a unlikely chance of winning is not something to let by. You did the right call to commit to the action you did. He would most likely have died if you had not intervened." He looks back at the stats on zarytto's vitals and listens to the others responding.

From what Era said was the most likely reason, tho the question was what was the commander exactly testing him or his message. Kentan didn't have the answer himself tho when commander awakened he would give some sort of answer. He gives Zarytto a second observation and it seemed that he would manage to wake himself up in a matter of minutes. One of the medbots came over to hand kentan a towel, which he took and started to clean off the blood that were on his hands. "He'll be waking up any time now so please reprehend yourself from touching him eve if yah will." Giving her an eye of warning.

ZARYTTO

A pair of eyes peered through the foliage of the underbrush. Teeth baring with lips curled inward, grinning and almost hissing. Tail then swaying excitedly with high anticipation. Stealthily, moving forward. Hand over hand. Staying low to the ground.

Ahead, two Baragur were busy feasting on a carcass. Oblivious to his presence. Then, with a start, they turned towards a sudden rustle made from the leaves as he sprang out and attacked one of them. Sending a kick to the midsection of one who stood up on its hind legs in response to the assault. He then landed with a thud and stood. Chin lifted up high wearing a smug expression as he extended an arm with palm pointed towards the other. A mere ki blast instantly left the creature's body lifeless and charred over the forest's floor.

That wasn't so hard, he thought. Staring at the other one still groaning, probably suffering from a broken rib. He thought the bulky creature who stood a head or two taller then him would put up a better fight than most of the wildlife's predators he'd encountered.

But just before he could finish and put an end to the surviving Baragur's suffering, a thunderous roar came from behind him. His head swivelled around and he felt the ground trembling as whatever had made its presence known started to stomp its way towards him. Trees, along the line of his sight got shoved out of the way. Parting for it like water giving way to a moving body. Then it emerged. Another Baragur already a man height tall on its fours. He then realised the two smaller ones were mere cubs. But its a little too late now.

The mother didn't look too happy.

Young Zarytto snarled his own threat before he unleashed a flurry of kicks and punches. Alas, the hide of the mother Baragur was so thick, it hardly felt a thing. Across his abdomen its huge paw swiped, sending him hurtling through the plantations and across the floor quite a long distance away. His head was in a daze. As he struggled to get back up on his feet, he got trampled by it and was sent tumbling and rolling again. Another blow came right across his head, again sending him flying.

That last strike felt like it could have torn his scalp right off his head. Warm and sticky liquid started pouring down the right side of his face. A numbing pulse throbbing almost painfully in his skull. Everything then became dark.

Wake up! You can't fall asleep now! The Baragur will kill you! Wake up!

-------

Zarytto's eye flew opened. His hands raised out in front and close to his face defensively. Expecting to receive an attack from the creature again. The somewhat familiar looking hairs then came to his view. He shot out an arm to grab the figure around the collar. Pulling closer as his other hand with palm facing towards the threat began glowing.

He then heard a soothing voice. A whisper before the gentlest and the softest of touch. Zarytto turned his head to the right. A face he thought he'd recognised came into view. She was beautiful. Especially with the way the lights in the background seemed to have made her look so divine. Like she had came down from the white field above, where all Saiyajin would go when they're dead.

The mohawked Saiyan frowned. Eyes blinking. Confused. He's not in Mehtann's wilderness? Right, the planet was no more. Then he returned to the other Saiyan in his grasp. “Tch! Who in Mehtann's are you?” he managed before he let go and fall his head back. His eyes then became groggy. He returned to the pleasant looking face to his right.

Somehow, his fight with the Commander have triggered a memory of his past. One from where and how he'd received the horrid scar on his head. And as he studied the female's face, he thought he might have get knocked in the head pretty hard, for he couldn't seem to ignore how suddenly beautiful and attractive she was. Eve, the same female he'd met since he was rescued.

“Where am I? And... What are you doing here?” he blinked, eyelids closing slowly before widening again as his gaze returned to Eve's.

Just what was she doing there? Why'd she came after him? Why that hug? He thought she hated him. Despised him. Even wanted to kill him at one point of time. Yet, she's there. So close. Almost intimately. And was that her hand stroking back on his hair? Pshaw! He just couldn't understand them. He couldn't understand her.

Eve raised her gaze as Kentan lifted his hands to wipe them clean, raising an eyebrow to his words. Stop touching him? Her own eyes narrowed down dangerously with his warning. She was about to make a retort before Zarytto's muscles started to tense. His fingers clenched first, then his arms tensed, legs sliding gently. Not yet awake, but not unconscious either.

"Zarytto?..." She whispered gently, but pulled her body back just a fraction though her hand kept running across his forehead and into his hair.

There Eve made a loud gasp as Zarytto's eyes snapped open and threw his hand out to attack at Kentan, another hand flooding as if to do a Ki blast. But his pupils were still heavily dilated and obviously still under the influence of the morphine. So she kept her voice low and none-threatening. She reached a hand out to grasp his hand gathering the blast, interlocking his fingers and slowly drawing his hand down by his side.

"Zarytto...relax..." Taking a breath outwards as he lowered his head back down and dropped his grip on Kentan. "This is Kentan, he helped heal you...You are still in very rough shape from your fight with the Commander and in the infirmary...he is in the regen chamber now, so in the mean time you need to relax...you'll reopen your injuries..."

Her gaze stayed on his eyes as she tried to notice his mental state. His aggressive wake seemed to be aligned to his personality so maybe his head hit didn't damage him afterall...

"I carried you in here. I wanted to make sure you were OK..." She answered him honestly. Realising lying or not being brutally honest would probably only make him more tense. She desperately wanted to ask him more questions but she also knew not to push him so early.

"Well if you recalled creating a crater and knocking not only the commander but yourself. You stumbled onto the infirmary, congratulations on your tie." He then proceeded to restitch one of the open wounds. "Stop moving so much or I'll have to let you bleed out, you have been administered with some morphine and probably why you feel a bit numb...That and draining your ki." One of the medbot approaches with a wipe already dipped with antibiotics, which kentan took and applied to the wound.

"Hey lover girl please tell your boyfriend to stop moving his head and torso so much will yah?"

Time seemed to pass by so slowly.

Era sat beside the Rejuvenation Chamber the entire time, never moving or even so much as shifting her position. It was as if she'd become a statue beside the Chamber. A permanent fixture until the Commander's release.

Inside, the Commander's body responded well to the Rejuvenation Chamber's effects. All of his broken bones mended. All of the muscle and tissue damage was repaired. And all of the weariness his body had experienced during the battle was lifted. His body had recovered fully within approximately 17 hours, give or take ten minutes, and once it was complete the Commander's eyes slid open for the first time since his entering unconsciousness.

Era looked to the Chamber and noticed his awakening, and stood up to press the button to drain the fluids and release him from within its confines.

The fluid drained, and the door slowly rose open. The Commander removed the breather from his face and ran a hand through his hair to press the moisture out of it on its way back before his hair snapped back into place. He stood up straight and took a step forward with Era handing him a towel to preserve his decency in front of those who were present.

This was the first time that Era had truly seen his entire body (minus a specific area) without his armor and clothing covering it.

The Commander's body was so highly defined that it was almost unreal. Every muscle group, even the smallest among them, was clearly visible and highly cut beneath the skin. His body fat had to have been absolute zero, as there was no tell or give anywhere. It was physical perfection. His body suit and armor hid nearly all of this definition, but here it was now for all to see in full from top to bottom (again minus that hidden behind the towel). Era's face flushed and she glanced to the side to avoid eye contact as she knew that if she kept staring or looked him in the eye the flush would get worse... Worse yet she might get a nose bleed.

The Commander stepped out of the Chamber and retrieved a newly washed and pressed body suit Era had prepared for him. However, Era had modified this one into two parts. An upper and a lower. It was meant to be a bit more practical and easier to manage than a single large suit that the whole body had to wriggle in and out of.

Once he had dawned this outfit, he turned to face the others who had gathered before him as he knew there would be plenty of questions about why Zarytto had come back and why the two had fought as they did.

Also... He was just now getting a sense for how much power he had gained during his fight with Zarytto.

Eve held Zarytto's hand gently, her gaze never leaving his own. She was perplexed more then anything. His face still had the angry scowl and frown but his eyes..... she was mesmerised by them. Saiyan above knows she had stared him down on numerous occasions, but this time was far different. There was nothing malice in those hazel orbs at all. And despite how close she was, practically leaning over him and holding his head gently, stroking his forehead, she expected his first words to be 'get off me!'.

But, he didn't.

He just kept staring at her like that and she was hypnotized. Kentan tried to make a joke, she only broke that gaze to give Kentan a very cold glare. But then her head turned back to Zarytto.

She let her fingers, the ones threading through the hairs on his mohawk slowly lower to cover those eyes, shielding them, darkening his vision.

".....Shh...Just rest Zarytto......"

The next 17 hrs Eve spent much the same as Era, by his side, though once Eve was aware Zarytto had fallen asleep again she rested her head on the infirmary bed beside his own, her fingers still intwined with his right hand and her other arm tucked under her head like a pillow.

Haunched over and probably uncomfortable she slept. She was exhausted. But the closeness of his body and knowing he was well on his way to recovery set her at ease.

She heard a hissing sound as Era started to drain the liquid to the chamber, groaning into consciousness and half sitting up with eyelids at odd angles. She went to rub her eye awake when she realise that her hand was still interlocked with Zarytto's.

In her half daze she had almost forgot where she was and her cheeks flushed for a moment. He gaze snapping to the resting Saiyan. "Oh...yeah...that's right..." Giving him a half smile before spinning on the chair to face Korvaiis. Though her fingers refused to unlock themselves from Zarytto so she stayed by his bed.

Ooooff course as the girl spun she noticed the Commander pretty much standing there with nothing but the smallest of towels in her entire life...really...they may as well have gotten a hankerchief to cover his lower frame and Eve's cheeks flustered in much the same manner as Era's had.

Questions? Yeah she probably had hundreds but she was holding Zarytto's hand so that was surprise enough, and now the Commander was you know.... A few minutes later her eyes returned to Korvaiis when he was fully dressed but now she felt she had x-ray vision because all she could see was that other lack of modesty form!!

Eve opened her mouth as if to say something, no words came out, so she simply slipped off the stool and made preparation to put Zarytto in the chamber next, unhooking any monitors or IV drips. Once he was in maybe her brain would function enough to speak.

Over the course of the 17 hours, Karas had gone to his lab and worked on his robots some more. He liked his Commander, but there were limits to how long one should be expected to stay with him. Besides, good working relationship or not, if the Commander found out that Karas had spent 17 hours waiting for him to get out of the Chamber instead of directly following his orders, he was sure Korvaiis would be pissed off even if he was slightly touched by it. Korvaiis had likely signed up for the fight with Zarytto, it's not like Zarytto just attacked him out of the blue. The fight had the hallmarks of a duel, not an assassination attempt. And if it wasn't a duel, the Commander would have used his full power and utterly destroyed his assailant. Korvaiis asked Zarytto to fight him and even handicapped himself far more than necessary, and so he got his wish. If Korvaiis had been near death, it would have been a different story, but as it stood every member of Raid Group 02A had been through far worse and no-one was expected to stay with them.

Over the course of the day, the project came together. Reconfiguring their internals with the positively ginormous ki cell was a tough challenge without the power of the Bastion, but Karas got through it. By the end, Tragedy and Comedy had a power level of 7.5 million each, with a combined power level of 20 million as Black Comedy. That ki cell was perhaps the most expensive one that money could buy, and cells that size were either restricted for military use or banned outright in several interstellar countries. How Xol had gotten his hands on one of them, Karas had no idea, though he did know that black market deals of things this valuable usually were paid for in either information, teaching, or bartering something equally valuable. And Xol might not look it with his old freighter, but he was rolling in cash from his exploits due to Zy'leths being able to get away with charging absurd prices. Everyone generally knew that independent Zy'leths were screwed on their homeworld unless they were wealthy themselves, and combined with their reputation for reliability and excellent performance, most people desperate enough to seek out such an expensive dealer simply ignored the high price. Finding something to barter for this would have been a cinch for him.

However, over the course of the day he noticed the commander's power climbing, until it reached a truly massive peak. When the number stopped increasing, Karas' jaw dropped along with the toolbox he was holding. It made a loud clattering noise as it struck the floor. 465,506!?

Intellectually, he knew that this was to be expected, but the emotional, irrational part of his brain, the one that was used to power levels in the five figures as the maximum, did not, could not accept that. But if it stopped climbing, that meant Korvaiis was good as new! And that meant he could get some answers!

He ran to the infirmary, slowing to a stroll and walking into the room once more. "Hey Commander. Glad to see you're good as new. Now, I know this is sudden, but I have to ask...why did you fight Zarytto in the first place, let alone take him on at below his own power level?"

Korvaiis watched and waited as the group of Saiyans slowly gathered around him, with Karas being one of the last and asking a question almost immediately upon arrival.

Korvaiis glanced to Zarytto and Eve.

"I believe it's his turn in the Chamber." He said calmly.

He then looked back to Karas.

"In all honesty, Karas, it's because I knew it would be the best way to at least begin to undo all that has happened." He said, slipping his armor on over his clothing once it was brought to him by Urod.

"Lately, as our powers have grown, I fell victim to one of the worst sins a Commander can allow himself to suffer: hubris. I believed that among our own group, my power and experience would give me all the authority I needed to demand of anyone what I would and expected complete compliance. I neglected to humble myself, and as a result I acted out and acted rashly towards Zarytto because of the differences in our philosophies."

Once he finished with the armor, he pulled up a chair and sat down.

"The other day, before I issued the challenge to Zarytto, I thought long and hard about what had transpired. I realized shortly before I fell asleep that what took place was entirely my own fault, and that I had caused Zarytto to distance himself from us needlessly due to my immature behavior."

He looked down at the floor.

"It was a low blow to my pride as a Commanding Officer, and an even worse blow to my pride as a Saiyan to realize I had fallen so far and even gone to such lengths as to ostracize one of our own for such petty reasons."

He looked back up to the group and stood up from his chair.

"To all of you, Zarytto included, I offer my sincerest apologies for my behavior of late... I cannot in good conscience call myself your Commander without asking for your forgiveness on this matter." He said, glancing from one member to another.

Eve had already pulled most of the equipment off of Zarytto's sleeping form. He wasn't bleeding anymore but he was still in rough shape, so in the same procedure as she had placed him down she unlocked his fingers from her own and tucked an arm under his back, the other at his knees, hosting him up in her arms with little trouble.

She wordlessly nodded to the Commander as she stepped up to the Reguvination Chamber and placed Zarytto on the seat, pulling the breathing apparatus over his face and snuggling it onto his cheeks around his nose.

She made sure it was properly in place with a wiggle then glanced down to his lap... She noticed with a start she would have to take off whatever tattered remains were left of his pants before she could fill it, so closing her eyes and looking away she hooked a hand at his pants on his hip and with a loud rip torn it off and threw it away before spinning completely around away from him.

She was panting rather heavily and cheeks beetroot red even though she saw nothing, edging to the left with back to him before she pressed the button to lower the door and refill the healing liquid.

Once it had filled to the top she turned back around now he was mostly covered by the door; his chest, shoulders and head still visible. Watching his hair sway and bubbles pop around him. She reached a hand up to touch the glass for a moment, almost like she could brush his cheek right there through the door.

Then she stepped down and headed to the gathering around the Commander as he sat. Eve listened to every word the Commander had said. She was angry at him earlier, furious at him however..

She wasn't sure how the other's would react to his words but something compelled her in much the same fashion as had in the cave. She took a deep breath and stepped forward once he stood. Coming before him she ducked and wrapped her arms around his middle, pulling him into a tight hold, ear against his chest armor.

She whispered.

"You brought Zarytto back... Nothing else matters.... Thank you...."

Pulling her head back enough to smile to him. Not a forced smile, a genuine smile that seemed to warm the very soul.

As quick as it had happened she pulled herself away a step, giving a quick salute then turning and moving away from the group to the Regeneration Chamber, slumping her back against it as she sat to the floor, a huge yawn escaping. Looking terribly uncomfortable but unwilling to leave his side. Blue eyes starting to blink lower and lower.

After hours pass since leaving the group and taking a tour by himself to familiarize himself with the ship. Kentan decided to head back to check on the others and see the commander and zaryttos status. When he returned he had just walked into a starting conversation by the commander and listened in. Hearing the reasoning of the commanders challenge was A bit disappointing. Hubris and pride, always causing some sort of trouble in the military and everything else. He always questioned himself why so many saiyans always have to put their pride first above all else, that question has always dawned on him since his completed training with his mother. He had met countless saiyans and even the ones that stand amongst him always talk about how their pride hurt. He takes a seat and looks through and starts to write down notes of formulas to make the armor that Karas was talking about.

He looks back at Eve, then the commander, then the rest of the group. It seemed this task would be considered troublesome considering the resources and how many trial and errors it would possibly take. Tho it was manageable and quite exciting to start working on. He then heard the commanders a apology and gave out a sigh. "Well if everything is well set in the past I would like to ask what's next then?"

Korvaiis wasn't really expecting much from everyone. Urod, Nei, and Kendra were never ones to speak or say anything in situations like these. They had an unflinching loyalty to him regardless of whatever words or actions had come and gone. It was just their dynamic as a team, and having been together for so long. They got on each other's nerves, but that was true of any family. And that's really what they were. Family.

However, Eve did in fact surprise him. The one who had been eager to step away and prioritize the life of Zarytto over everything else in the immediate world around her was the first to speak to him. And not only that, she hugged him.

However, the Commander could only close his eyes and smile. Before she pulled away he placed his hand on her shoulder and gave it a mild squeeze. This gesture was common as a symbol of acknowledgement from superiors to subordinates, indicating that he had forgiven all which had happened between them and was content to "face" her again after having turned his back before.

Eve them broke away and slumped down beside the Rejuvenation Chamber.

Then, the new arrival, Kentan, spoke to him asking what was next.

Korvaiis looked to the others, and after having received at least a nod from all present he looked to Kentan.

"We continue as planned... I see we are still on the planet." He said, turning to Urod.

Urod nodded, and moved out of the room to the Bridge where he gave the order to take off immediately. The ship rocked and rumbled a bit, and stilled once it broke through the atmosphere into the cold depths of space. Once the ship had settled, Korvaiis continued.

"Now that we are back on course, it's time for our next step... Our battle with Zyra and Elise has proven to me that our enemies are stronger than we ever dared to dream. With Elise having a power of 7.5 million, there's no way we're ever going to defeat Inecros if we continue at this pace. We need something more, but the Zenkai alone doesn't feel like it's going to be enough." He said calmly and in a low voice.

He was clearly contemplating their options, but had yet to settle on anything.

He then looked to Karas.

"I can sense that Tragedy and Comedy have been significantly upgraded, nearly rivaling Elise in terms of raw power as individuals. Well done Karas." He said.

"I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this matter... We must continue our course to destroy the supply line and cripple Inecros and his forces across the galaxy. We've taken a major step by gaining the aid of Zyra and Elise, who will work to ensure that the planet we just departed from aids him no longer. But even though we know our course, our ability to deal with Inecros and his more powerful minions is a problem I've yet to solve." He said, leaning against the wall.

"Does anyone have any thoughts? Tragedy and Comedy may now have power rivaling Elise, but they're still only two robots and they can't do everything for us. We need a new plan to deal with the threats we will face in the future. Any input you all have would be welcome at this time." He said.

Eve's eyes had almost completely slipped closed and her body was slumping more and more to the point she had pretty much taken up residence against the ground in a curled up Saiyan ball.

"Al'ight..." She said softly, still trying to engage in the conversation for ideas to help destroy the supply line.

"For starters it would be best for Era to unlock Kentan's Zenkai to get him up to speed... And when Zeze wakes up we will want to unlock his power to increase our pushing force..." In her half sleep not realising she had slipped a nickname she had invented in her head.

"If our enemies are numbered in the Millions then we need to think much more seriously then we have previously..."

Oddly for a girl who may as well have been asleep, and not the sharpest tool in the shed, she made a fair bit of sense.

"We have two choices... focus on our attack or on our defense. We could do as we did before the planet and train intensely to skyrocket our powers, or we could focus more on our ships defensives and maybe upgrade our armor. The Regeneration Chamber we could upgrade to hold two people, or even utilize more advanced medicinal fluid to simply quicken the healing process."

She slipped her hands behind her head as she laid down flat against the ground, one boot lifted up, eyes closed and a soft yawn escaping her lips.

"I did have a third option... we could split into smaller teams and attack several weaker outpost planets at once to cripple his supply chain faster and more thoroughly. Though we would need some sort of ship cloaking or expertise pilot skills to navigate undetected. With forces split it will be even more paramount we get by incognito."

It was the first time since she joined she actually contributed to the conversation intellectually, so it may have surprised most there. She was too sleepy to notice however.

Karas glanced to Eve and looked back at the Commander, taking a deep breath. "I originally thought that having a robot army would be the best course of action, and I've been focusing my energies towards making more and more destructive robots. However, it's really an exercise in futility. My forces are strong enough to take on one enemy, and then the next wipes the floor with them. There's a significant power climb between each battle we enter, and we never truly gain an advantage over our foes. Eventually, I will reach a power plateau without a breakthrough of some kind, if I haven't already. Tragedy and Comedy are stretched to their limits. The ki cell in each is the single most expensive and destructive ki cell you can buy that can fit in a nine-Leid-tall shell. If I wanted to upgrade them further, I might as well make an even bigger set of new robots, and I don't think I can do that in a timely manner without the Bastion.

"Ironically, for a while I planned to create an even more destructive robot rated for a power level of 40 million plus, and that thing was supposed to kill Inecros outright the minute he showed his ugly face. But the problem with that is that I have no idea what Inecros' true power is, so it may just be a massive waste of resources. After all, you don't design a superweapon specifically to kill somebody without knowing anything about them. However, I suggest we ask Zyra and Elise to give us some information about their former master, maybe that'll help inform its design."

Karas sat down in one of the visitor's chairs and put his arms on the armrests, crossing one leg over the other. "As to what Eve is saying, I suggest we take a two-pronged approach. It's obvious to me now that the most efficient way to achieve battlefield superiority without a massive expenditure of resources is through our own power levels, but we cannot allow our technology to be left in the dust. Instead, it must be designed to work with us, adapting to our ever-increasing power levels. Thankfully we already have the technology to do so: ki capacitors and artificial ki pathways. Kentan, Raze and I can apply this technology to existing Saiyan equipment, namely our Scouters and armor. With a link to our ki pathways, our armor will scale with our power and our Scouters will be infinitely more durable. While we're at it, it wouldn't hurt to improve the designs of our armor altogether. I could also see about powered armor that uses ki capacitors to multiply the user's effective power level, but it would be an jncredibly difficult build. Then there are the immoral paths of chemical and biological warfare. While I don't want to even consider it, a poison or disease may be our last option for eliminating Inecros if all else fails."

"As for Eve's suggestion to split up, I think that is foolhardy at best. I'm an engineer, Kentan is a biologist with plenty of other training, and Raze is a doctor. We have only one of each. Not all of us have a non-combat talent, and if we split up into two or three each group would be missing a vital component."

"Instead, I believe that people with non-combat talents should be on research and development, maintenance, et cetera with training on the side, while pure fighters, like Eve, Zarytto, and Nei should be the ones whose power levels skyrocket. They're the front line, and they need to have the greatest power level as a result."

Korvaiis listened to Eve and Karas' suggestions, and found that he had to agree with Karas on most points save for a few.

"I understand your positions, and I have to say that I too think that splitting up is not a wise decision. Instead, we will leave extraneous missions and objectives to Zyra and Elise, as they wish to participate on their own terms elsewhere. Though they are now considering themselves allies, they do not wish to throw their lot in with us directly." He said.

He put his fingers around his chin.

"... I will contact them and see if I can get any further information on what Inecros' power may truly be. I can't imagine, even with what Elise said about him, that his power could exceed 50-60 million. Anything beyond that would be outlandish, even for him... Hopefully I'm right, or we could be in even worse trouble than I thought when he finds out what we've done and comes running." He said in a low voice.

He looked up to Karas and the others.

"Karas, I believe your idea to be sound and support it. Take Raze and Kentan with you and start working on implementing your artificial Ki pathways and such into our armor. Our Scouters, I'm not too concerned about. They're a luxury, not a necessity, and they can always be replaced. It's us I'm worried about. But if you find the time for upgrading the Scouters anyway, then do so." He ordered.

He then looked to Eve and the rest of his veteran team members.

"At this time all of us will focus on power building. Urod, search for an uninhabited planet as soon as possible. The safest and most controlled environment for building our powers lies in worlds without a population which can interfere with our training, where we control the outcome and the fate of all participants involved. The last thing I want is to run into beings like Elise and Zyra again with power levels that can wipe us out with the flick of a wrist."

Urod saluted and left for the Bridge once more, this time telling the pilots to set a course for the nearest uninhabited planet with an atmosphere conducive to their Saiyan biology.

Meanwhile, back in the meeting room, Korvaiis continued.

"Era, you will partner with Kendra for your training." He ordered.

Kendra was clearly protesting, but silently so. Her eyes and her scowl said everything. But she would not disobey. Era, as well, was not too happy but remained silent and calm.

"Sil, you will partner with Eve... She's had enough alone time with Zarytto to last a while." He said in a half joking tone.

Sil smirked and looked to the side, stifling a chuckle as she cleared her throat and nodded in agreement.

"Nei, you'll partner with Urod." He said.

Nei saluted.

"I will train alone for the time being... There's... Something I need to test." He said, somewhat more quietly and in deeper thought.

He then stood up straight.

"Era, before we train you will unlock Zarytto and Kentan's Zenkai. They're useless to us without them, even if Kentan is on R&D." He ordered.

Era saluted.

"Very well. We have our plan for the time being. I want as much time as we can afford building our powers as high as possible before taking our next step. Dismissed." He ordered.

With that, the veterans all departed to wait in their quarters while Korvaiis made his way to the bridge. Once there, he met with Urod.

"How long?" He asked.

"Approximately four days Commander." He replied.

"Good. Not long then... I have a feeling that Inecros will be on our tails within the next few weeks."

"What?! Why?!" Urod demanded.

"Just before we landed on that planet to face Elise and Zyra, I saw a single ship escaping the planet. It was using a method of propulsion I'd never seen, and we were too far into our approach to do anything about it. Whatever it was, it had stealth capabilities and wasn't showing up on our radar. I have a bad feeling that ship is on its way to Inecros right now, and there's likely nothing we can do to stop it now."

Urod ran his hand through his hair.

"Ancients protect us..." He muttered.

Korvaiis shook his head as the blood began draining from his face.

"... They won't be able to help... Not if this is what we're up against." He said.

Korvaiis brought up a communication from Zyra which had come in during their meeting. It seemed she knew they'd ask for Inecros' power level, so she sent a message with her best estimation while they'd been talking and taking off. The message on the screen instantly drained the blood from Urod's face, and he couldn't even speak due to the shock of the number he was now looking at.

"At a guess, Inecros' power is somewhere around 150,000,000. We have never confirmed the exact number as no power reading device has ever been powerful enough to withstand the reading. But we have confirmed it to reach 100,000,000 and witnessed the power up for ourselves.

I hope your 'Zenkai' is as wonderful as you say it is, because Inecros has ever trained a day in his life to reach or maintain this level. He's a natural born super being.

- Zyra"

Urod nearly lost what little content there was in his stomach as he read the number, and Korvaiis as well had lost a good amount of color though his face was as stoic and defiant as ever.

Eve's eyes felt like there was grit in them they ached so bad. Every single muscle ached from not sleeping on a comfortable bed for days. Her swimsuit one piece and thigh high tights rubbed and itched with wedges of dirt seemingly cemented between her body and clothing. Her hair was a complete mess.

This was the complete opposite of normal Eve who washed and cleaned herself daily (if not twice daily), body armor and boots always polished to a mirror black finish. Hair held together in an oddly organised fashion uptop her head in a slick ponytail or cascading braid down the side of her face.

But she was stubborn and even with 17hrs remaining she refused to leave Zarytto's Regeneration Chamber. Of course while she was conscious. She was so exhausted with one last tiny yawn escaping she rolled onto her side and fell fast asleep. A tiny snore escaping and the soft rise and fall of her chest signalling she was fast asleep. She even missed the Commander's suggestion for training with Sil. In the lovely world of dreamy time.

Era and Sil had been standing off to the side as Nei and Kendra sauntered off to cool down. Kendra was plenty fumed about having to train with Era, and Nei needed some time to relax as he was quite tense. Sil looked to Era, and then to Eve, and then back to Era.

Era nodded.

She walked over to Eve's sleeping form and carefully hoisted her over her shoulder as Sil followed close behind. The two women took their sleeping companion to the bathing room and the showers, with Sil embarrassingly stripping down as she prepared to help wash Eve down while Era just threw everything to the side as if clothing was just an afterthought.

"Era, I've known you for a long time... Will you ever be embarrassed about being naked in front of others?" She asked.

Era looked at her and blinked.

"Why be embarrassed? It's just my body." She replied.

Sil sighed.

"Nevermind..."

Era shrugged and the two carried Eve to the shower area and began running the water. The water was nice and hot, not too much to burn the skin but just hot enough to soothe the skin deep into the muscle tissue. It was heaven. After a long stint in a makeshift prison and fighting and non-clean environments, it was wondrous to just enjoy the feeling of hot water soaking the skin and cleansing the soul.

Meanwhile, in Era's armswith her head resting in between Era's breasts, Eve sat quietly as the two women began lathering shampoo to prepare to wash out her rather stinky hair.

@Zuka

Eve was snoring for pretty much the entire carry time as Era and Sil moved the girl into the washroom. Even being stripped of her clothes she barely even flinched.

Though she half twitched as she smelt the familar scent of warm bathing water, and half groaned in her sleep when that warm water ran over her body. Nice and hot, just the water she adored.

Really the girl was still asleep showing just how exhausted she was. Though her head moved back and forth and an innocent little murr escaped. Whatever that pillow was on her head was the most comfortable substance in the world! In her half sleep she wondered if maybe Karas should engineer more of that pillow. How strong the Saiyans would be with a great night sleep!

Eve squirmed and murred more when she felt some hands massaging into her head, pulling fingers through the threads of her long brown hair. Untangling it.

She was starting to come too now, though her eyes still stayed closed, rolling over to nuzzle into that wonderful pillow, pressing her own front to Era's. Poor Sil probably in close proxiamity to a sleepy, affectionate brown haired Saiyan. Then she spoke in that same half groan.

"Mmmmm...Oh Zarytto!! Who knew you were so good with your hands!" Talking mostly about the head rubs though a hand did run down Era's arm. "Mmm I thought you'd be more muscular then this though..."

Finally her eyes blinked open at odd angles, that stupid grin on her face. And one hand seemingly wedged itself right on Era's full chest.

Eve's sky blue eyes peering solidly to Era's face....wait...violet hair? down the side of his face? He didn't have violet hai-

Eve screamed her eyes going huge and in a second had flooded her fist with Ki, a full Saiyan Warrior punch straight at the girl's head, sending the girl flying if she didn't react in time. Which was likely considering the surprise.

"Saiyan Goddess above!! Where on Metahnn am I!? Why am I naked?! SIL EXPLAIN!" Gaze turning to the red head as she snatched out to try and fist her hair next.

To be fair, considering the situation she awoke in, a violent response wasn't surprising.

Era and Sil were honestly having a bit of fun with Eve's hair. It was so messy and tangled that undoing the knots was a chore and a half, but it was fun in its own strange way. Sil was starting to get over the whole naked in the shower bit when Eve suddenly began talking in her half-sleep state. She blushed when Eve started talking about Zarytto, while Era just smirked.

"Oh I'm never letting her live this down." She said quietly.

Sil gave Era a soft elbow to the arm, but while Era turned to look at Sil Eve woke up and punched Era with a charged Ki punch sending her back and slammed her into the wall of the shower. Luckily it didn't damage the showers in any way, but still it was a shock.

Era shook her head a bit as Eve yelled about where she was, demanding an explanation of Sil who was wide eyed and frozen in place with both hands up in a "don't kill me" position.

"You're on the ship right now out in space heading to our next destination and Era and I tasked ourselves with giving you a shower and washing your hair." She said quickly.

She glanced to Era who was moving her jaw back and forth to make sure it wasn't broken or dislocated and walking over to Eve.

"You know, Eve... Punching your friends isn't exactly a womanly thing to do." She said, having finally stopped messing with her jaw.

"I know Zarytto is a bit rough around the edges, but I doubt he'd enjoy you punching him in the face if he were trying to bathe you." She said, taking a rather sultry and provocative posture with her body and gesturing to her breasts and hips.

"Especially if he looked like me and didn't have the muscle tone you wanted. I'd imagine he'd be quite displeased indeed." She said in a very sexy tone.

Eve was raging, but true to her word Sil told the girl everything she asked of her. "...Oh...a shower and hair wash? Mm...I guess that is ok..."

Funnily Eve had as little concern of being naked as Era did. The only reason she exploded was because she couldn't remember how she got like that in the first place.

Eve then lifted a hand behind her head with a laugh as Era adjusted her jaw. "Well, it may not be womanly then again it is decidedly Saiyan... and you were tough enough to take it..."

....and then Era spoke. "Z..Z..Zarytto?! Why would Zarytto be bathing me?!" Eyes huge now. And was that a smidge of red under the girls cheeks?

Nah, was the hot water.

"I hate that guy! He does nothing but frown and hate himself and grumble around and glare and rub everyones nerves the wrong way and..." Her voice hurried but slowly down considering as Era was posing in a such a way even Eve found her attractive. Or maybe it was the hormones.

She spoke again barely above a whisper "And his voice is liquid smooth with a touch of sandpaper and..." imagines of holding his tall frame as she carried him to the Regeneration Room. "His shoulders and arms are like they are carved of marble and... his eyebrow pulls down in this funny manner when he gets grumpy...." Smudging her forehead with a soft little sigh. Cheeks flustering more.

Then her back straightened as she frowned herself, realising she was trailing off. She crossed her arms then in an annoyed manner, closing her eyes. "Alright, just finish up with my hair..." Completely ignoring everything she just let slip.

Era's smirk widened slightly and her eyes narrowed, but in a sultry way. She walked forward, an obviously deliberate sway in her hips as she walked around to Eve's back and put her hands on the girl's shoulders.

"Is someone getting a little hot and heavy over little old Mohawk?" She asked, wrapping her hands around Eve's waist and pressing her chest to Eve's back.

"I am no matchmaker, but I think you two make a cute couple." She whispered.

Era then slid to Eve's right side, hands still around her waist as Sil's face was practically glowing red with embarrassment and... something more... with the performance Era was putting on.

"Are you sure you just need help with your hair? Or can I help you in other ways to prepare for your next romantic encounter?" She teased in a sultry voice.

Meanwhile, Sil had to turn away to prevent herself from getting a nose bleed.

@Zuka

Eve made a fairly reminiscent "pshaw" noise of a certain other male saiyan, glancing to the side and away as she kept her own arms wrapped under her full chest. The hands on her shoulders didn't much mind her but then the girl had wrapped her arms around Eve's middle! Saiyan above knows what someone would think if they walked in.

"I am not-! I said I hate that guy-!"

Was Era really pressing herself that close? I mean it wasn't uncomfortable but....

Eve's face flustered now, someone most definitly turned that water up hotter!! "I don't need any extra help, thank you! I know all about...you know..that romance stuff. I did it, all the time, back at Metahnn. With all the super elites. Yeah...queen of romance they called me!"

Eve really was a terrible lying."Besides I don't need to know because, I hate him, remember?!" frowning more over her shoulder.

Era's smirk turned into a true smile as she squeezed Eve a bit tighter, her chest pressing out a bit more as she put her mouth up to Eve's ear.

"You're a terrible liar Eve... I like that," She whispered softly.

She backed her face away a tiny bit and let her hands sink in an "X" pattern over Eve's midsection until her hands were on the girl's hips. She then put her right leg forward, wrapping it around Eve's own.

"Are you sure you hate him? Because I could swear I'm sensing an increase in your body temperature back here. That only happens to me when I think about the Commander." She said, completely unafraid to finally let it out in the open just between them as girls.

She chuckled as her fingers curled a bit, her nails gently tickling Eve's hips.

"I am pretty sure I could-"

"Era! Please! That's enough!" Sil shouted.

She still had her back to them though, and would not face them because of how red her face was. It nearly matched her hair.

"We were supposed to bathe her, not incite this kind of behavior for your amusement. Please let go of her and let's finish helping with her hair and leave her alone when we're finished. Okay/" She pleaded.

Era looked to her old friend and smirked.

"Why can't you face us Sil? A little hot and heavy over there?" She asked.

"Not at all!! This is highly indecent and it's my job as your friend and teammate to ensure that our dynamic as warriors is not disturbed by such behavior!!" She shouted.

Era never lost her smirk, but she did let go of Eve and back away though she put her arms under her breasts and cocked her head to the side.

"What's wrong Sil? Not interested in a little alone time between just us girls? I mean come on. The guys are hot and all, but sometimes I think it's nice to just-"

"Enough!! Please!!" Sil shouted, her fists tight to her sides.

Era sighed.

"Fine... Fine... Whatever. Let's finish her hair. Eve, sweetie, do me a favor and turn around. It's harder to wash your hair from the front."
