Two Thousand Club
Karas sprinted off after Eve, feeling the Commander's and Zarytto's energy signatures reaching a fever pitch. They were smaller than usual (particularly the Commander), but running rampant with violent emotion. Bloodlust. Fighting spirit. He could feel their battlefield emotions through their signature, just as he could identify a robot from an organic via ki signature. He managed to get outside just as the battle was beginning. It was violent, vicious, and brutal. Even though the Commander was at half power, they were going all-out in terms of skill and pure, direct force. Eventually, as the battle began to reach its final stages, Karas was hopeful that the Commander would be capable of taking Zarytto down. However, it seemed that Zarytto was using far more strategy than he had before. Was he learning from his mistakes? Time would tell...
And then, to Karas' shock, it was a double K.O! Each fighter made a crater on impact. He observed Eve and Era going over to get each of them. Of course Eve went to Zarytto, since obviously her condition wasn't cured from just one conversation, and he thought Raze would have been the one to haul the Commander back to the infirmary, but to his mild surprise it was Era who did so instead.
With the situation under control, Karas walked back inside the ship to get started on the day's work. In his lab, the thicker ki pathways, extra-large ki cell, and bigger ki capacitors were still there.
The first thing he did was order Tragedy and Comedy to his lab with the computer in his arm. Then, he dismantled them, taking out their power systems and draining their energy cells down to zero. Then, he took the two cells and put them in a drawer for used parts. They were rather small, all things considered. Artificial ki was expensive, and while 20-50,000 was a lot for a normal Saiyan, Karas could have done a lot more if he had a bigger budget at the time. Besides, he had never even heard of anything over 100,000, so at the time he thought it was a moot point to add even more ki storage anyway.
There was one final thing he needed to do before he went to check on Korvaiis (he was ignoring Zarytto's plight altogether due to the man's extremely antisocial behavior when he was conscious). That was, fill the robots' new power cells to the brim. He took out the much larger new cells, with a power level of about 7/5 million each, 20 million when combined as Black Comedy. They were fat, metal egg-like things as thick as Karas' thigh. Stuffing these babies into the robots' normal frames would require a good deal of internal remodeling, but he could do it. He built the robots, didn't he? But before he did any of that, he would need to charge them up to make sure they worked. And they took a while to fill. Karas took the large cells over to a bank of charging cradles. He had about five in all, and he selected the two most heavy-duty models he had. They were of different wattages, meaning that one cell would charge faster than the other. But they would both charge just fine, which was what he needed. He snapped the two cells into place, and satisfied, he walked out of the room, his footsteps the only sound breaking the serenity of his inner sanctum. The door closed behind him, and he headed to the infirmary to meet with the others.
Karas entered the room with Eve, Kentan, and Era some time later, just in time to catch Eve's explanation. It was interesting seeing Kentan move like a trained professional. He wouldn't think that a biologist would make a good surgeon, but he supposed that was what being a prodigy did to you. Like he was one to talk, with the ridiculous stuff he did on a regular basis. The things he had built could have been the work of entire research teams, but he had pulled off the vast majority of his tasks all by himself. It was quite a wonder, really. Karas sat on a nearby chair meant for visitors, and listened to the conversation.

He then noticed Era next to the Commander's unconscious form. "So, Era, I've been thinking about the incident," he said, putting his arms behind his head, "And the only explanation I can come up with is that Korvaiis wanted to earn Zarytto's respect. Zarytto's a staunch Saiyan conservative, so maybe the Commander felt that besting him in battle would set him on the path to becoming a team player or something. Personally, I think that's incredibly misguided if true, but I suppose giving Zarytto a chance to redeem himself wouldn't hurt. But I think he wouldn't take it in a million years, not with a double knockout. What do you think?"
