Divine Rising - OOC

@Yahaga

I AM EXCITED.

CAUSE FALCON.

YAS.

lol

I mean, it was part of my character background, but I haven't used it yet. I wanted to bring it on our travels cause Harmerti isn't bringing his hunting bow or rifle. The bird would have been his only "weapon."

Just... don't take off its hood yet lol.

lol

She'll heed his warnings, no worries (:

I always have to freshen up on backgrounds because I forget easily ~

Same tbh. Often times I have to reread my own lol

ME AS F.

LIKE. IM LIKE OKAY. WAIT. HOW DO YOU ACT AND WHAT DO YOU LIKE AGAIN?

And then I'm like, WHAT? YOU HATE THAT? I DIDN'T KNOW. MY BAD FRIEND.

LMAO. I'm such a terrible person.

The falcon thing really got you excited didn't it lol.

Also, it's a peregrine falcon. I was going to use it to "wake-up" Harmerti, but I had a different idea instead. Probably going to do it at the place most people are going to.

Honestly, I love animals and so anything animal related makes my hyped af. Plus, it helps me grow in my knowledge of other species whenever someone researches on the specific one so i could know in the future <3

When you said tied up on a tree up high with a hood on it's head, that means he can not see, but he can hear foot prints and stuff right? Would he not be alarmed if she approached? I think falcons would have a sense of smell or some kind of sense that they would know if it wasan intruder or not, even covered?

What a hood does for any bird of prey is it keep it calm under stressful circumstances. It's like keeping a blanket over a bird cage. As for the sense of smell, it is definitely a factor, but it's not like a dogs. Their sense of smell is better than a humans, but not to the point where they use it for hunting. Since most birds of prey are incredibly visual, a hood will keep it calm and won't be too worried unless something hurts it. A hood kind of puts them in a trance-esk type of state where they are easily handled.

Hearing is a bit more prominent, but the hood still kind of covers this literally and figuratively. When someone is asleep (or in a trance), their hearing is a bit dulled in a sense where they can take in a bit more sound before being really spooked. Lifting the hood will wake up the bird to full alertness.

The thing about falconery is that the best bird is always wild. The falconer has to prove his worth to the bird (not the other way around), otherwise the bird will leave. If anything would ever break the trust between the bird and human, the bird has all the right in the world to leave and never return. The bird comes to trust that the hood it's partner puts on it means that it the bird is safe and the human is watching over it. In turn for its protection, the human comes to trust that the bird will provide both of them with food. A symbiotic relationship in a way.

Edit: don't know why i added the third paragraph, but hey its there.

Ooooh makes sense <3 Thank you

@crucialstar did you leave your character behind on purpose? If you need a break, all you have to do is tell me. ^^

It's a bit hard to have Analette want to go to a police station for a good amount of reason when the plan was to meet at the said place, even if it was to help Tobias <3. Plus, I heard about bird, and was like okay bird <3.

Speaking of birds, the hood that's on the falcon won't blow off in the wind, just as a little heads up. If you're curious, this is the basis of what hoods look like.

It's kinda hard to see, but there is a strap underneath the beak of the bird. It's also tightened by some leather ties. Theyre also handmade by the falconer (traditionally. Nowadays, the can just be bought, but in this RPs era, falconry wasn't as common), fun fact.

But you effectively won't be part of the next scene which could take days.

I am really glad to hear your wife's doing better.  You make that rockin' entrance! X3

@SilverFlight Things are getting hectic on my side so I may need to take a small break.  I will try to get a post out tonight or tomorrow, if I can't however just assume Alex stayed behind with Analette.
