just saw something online that mentioned today is the 20th anniversary of Digimon Frontier one of the least popular series online and known for being the only one without digimon partners since the kids became the digimon.

Yeah, I saw that poster. I had some problems with the series back then, but I kind of enjoyed it.

The series I had issues with back then was Savers/Data Squad with the human punching digimon and how the girl's digimon seeming useless. Her champion digimon often came off as weaker than the boys rookies.

I enjoyed Savers/DATS. I'm actually rewatching it right now. I found issues with its ending, but more or less was enjoyable. Frontier I found to be enjoyable for the first half when everyone felt useful, but when they relied too heavily on Takuya and Koji, I took a lot of issue to it, especially when they got past the beast spirits arc. I always wished the other four would have gotten their fusions, too, especially given what I know they look like. With the exception of tommy's, they all have pretty badass designs (particularly Zoe's fusion of beast and human).

Yeah, Tommy turning into a giant penguin with popsicles would have totally ruined the mood with how silly it would have been

I enjoy digimon frontier and I've been rewatching it with my little brother recently, I love the series, but WHY DIDN'T THE OTHERS GET FUSION SPIRITS?

idk same reason only Matt and Tai were given megas in the original series.

The wait for the park scene to start is annoying. Nora and Noir have been walking to that park for a week good thing that's not in universe time lol

The hero and rival/second tend to get the privileges on forms and the like, so Tai and Matt get the Megas, and even after everyone reached the level, they had the super powerful fusion. Frontier was especially glaring given that Takuya and Kouji not only had the Fusion forms, but MagnaGarurumon and KaiserGreymon are formed by depowering everyone else.

Yeah one of the units caught fire. And the people are angry cause sadly we're no strangers to power failure since hurricane Maria. So it's sorta like a Ptsd thing.
