Fantasy [Detailed] Witches, Zombies, and Queens, oh my!

Honestly, I think that's diverting the focus of the rp and it should be made for a story arc, but at the same time known as an active issue in the background of the rp. Just...y'know, going from an rp standpoint.

You're dead right Yuuki; like it would be in the back of their minds as they went about their business.

I mean, I feel like it would be an issue that would constantly pop up and I think having a Mascumovement for a story arc would be pretty cool. I actually play males 98% of the time, so this is very new to me xDD

But seeing as there's going to be a lot of focus on the Blight, I imagine the Blight is going to be the upfront and prominent issue. Men will have to sit back and wait till their opportune moment.

Uh...my brain derped and now I don't remember what I was gonna write.

But yeah, when I look at rps, I see them like an anime. So in a world where there's mostly women's rule, it reminds me of those Shoujo Power anime where they genderbend all the characters to female. xDD

I can understand what you're on about all right. I can even imagine that males who associate themselves with the Movement could find themselves prohibited from entering the workplace and/or receiving a salary. Trade Unions could be set up to represent these men or something to that point. I feel this could be an extremely interesting concept; maybe it could stem it's own roleplay.

Ugh, that's the problem with roleplays, there's so many good directions to go in!!! xD

Larry, if you want to pen a spin-off focusing around that particular concept, I'd totally be okay with it.

You should added 'my' roleplays in there Wel!

I'd have to give you credit for the inspiration my friend! But yes, it does sound like an interesting concept alright, maybe could center around the time after the Blight. It'd give the roleplay diversity, a variation of experience.

Would you be interested in such a roleplay Wel? Around men looking for equal rights in a matriarchal society?

I would! I don't think I'd be able to join until this one is off the ground and at a steady pace but afterwards, yeah.

I might just go put it up on the Interest Checks thread for the try anyway.

You know what's going to be amazing? Getting into theme songs.

-continues to plod along with writing stuff-

I might actually come to regret throwing all this detail in.

Well, mostly because it's a LOT more detail than what I was going to include the last time I considered running this RP, and that means hving to keep track of a lot more notes when people ask me questions.

Right now, I just finished creating drakesteel - metal forged from dragon scales, and offers magic resistance. Don't ask, yes, apparently dragon scales are metallic in this setting. Yes, there are dragons. Yes, maybe you might get to go slay one or two. Yes they have wings and breathe fire and steal gold and princesses, what ELSE would a dragon do?

Jaysus, this will be great craic than; you won't know your head from your elbow with the amount of things we'll be telling you!

WHY CAN'T I HOLD ALL THESE DETAILS???

Wow only went away for a few hours this certainly kicked off haha xD Some more interesting twists indeed! That said do ponder how well a pro-equal rights movement would do in a Matriarchal (feudal style?) Society :P the whole 'magic' thing does give them a large edge xD But anyway will certainly be a change playing a male in such a setting, what with the shift of power ^^ Looking forward to it!

Any idea what tech level we are at? Magic and more potent artifacts aside, are we slinging arrows at each other or are muskets a thing etc Just pondering :o know its early days yet

@Valmont

Unofficially, it's "Final Fantasy crossed with early Steam Magitekpunk", aka "Welian is NOT a history major".

That being said, it's definitely post-printing press, and pre-internal combustion engine. I don't know much about medicine but I believe we may be looking at pre-vaccination and pre-penicillin, and as far as weapons go, we will have gunpowder, so definitely hand cannons and blunderbusses, but I'm not sure where revolvers fall into the history of firearms. We're also looking at steam-powered trains and ships, but instead of steam, Arcana uses crystals charged with mana. What this means for mining operations for coal, I honestly haven't thought about yet.

As far as airships, possibly, something design-wise along the vein of "La Minerve" [spelling], a French airship of which there is a model displayed in the Nation Air & Space Museum.

Maaaaaybe one of the other roleplayers will be able to narrow it down to a rough era based on what I've described here.
