Fantasy Descendants of the Curse

"If he's in the infirmary then he is under Mary's care. He'll not die from what you've done to him, being so young still and especially with Mary by his side. If he does live, however, he'll wish he hadn't. I'll see he gets the punishment he deserves as will the rest of the coven. I don't condone-"
Gaston stopped quite suddenly then. If she knew Xander was in the infirmary then Mary knew very well the condition that Phiona was in and what had been done to her. How could she let Phiona walk away, as a healer how could she let this bloodied, pale girl- a victim of assault to who knows what degree- simply walk away?
"I don't condone that sort of carelessness and behaviour."
Gaston nearly spat thinking of both Xander and his ex wife. Mary was a vengeful bitch that's for sure. How could she not treat Phiona as a patient?
The coven leader untangled the last of Phiona's bun from her hair and gently combed back the strands with his fingers, kissing the tip of her nose and holding her closer.
"You've done nothing wrong. Nothing, Phiona. You protected yourself. You are strong and far more powerful than any foolish boy."

"You had to bring that all up now? And you said I was bad at pick up lines."
Sabella snorted and unstuck herself from him. Quite repulsed by the story she climbed up onto the bank again and grabbed her clean tunic. She pulled the new garb over her body after shaking off the cool droplets from her hair and skin. Sabella then planted herself in the mossy, soft grass that grew on the banks, taking a moment to dry in the quiet of the river and it's reeds.

Phiona nodded closing her eyes as she clung to Gaston. "You are a good man." She muttered her arms wrapped around him, and her cheek pressed to his chest listening to the beat of his strong heart to try and calm herself. "The kindest I have ever met. Thank you..." She said wiping dry her eyes, she was no longer shaking as much as she had been before. The front of her robes and his chest were soaked in tears and she she looked away embarrassed. "Apologies." She said and used her sleeve to wipe dry his chest, then removed her robes leaving in a casual grey striped dress that she had been wearing under her robes.

"Aw come on Sabella." Donahue chuckled as she left watching her leave and go sit down. Then slowly crawled after her about to put back on his clothes only to realize they were still covered in dirt so wearing only his birthday suit he plopped down beside her and smirked. "You look disapointed, why is that?" He chuckled stretching out a bit to get comfortable.

"Apologies? What for?"
Gaston chuckled softly and shook his head, scooting forward slightly so he sat more upright and in turn was close to her once more.
He pushed a bouncing curl behind her ear with a small smile and rested his hand on her cheek, still warm and slightly damp from the basin water. Droplets of the stuff glittered like pearlescent beads on her coiling locks, enthralling and fascinating him.
"Have I ever told you how beguiled I am by your hair?" Gaston's smile spread slowly as he toyed with a strand that dangled just above his fingertips,"I would watch for the top of your pretty little head in class, could pick out the auburn strands when the sunlight poured into my afternoon classes. There were many times when I wanted to tell you just that and how lovely you look as you tied it up to cast charms and brew your elixirs and then do the same when you unknotted your curls after class."
He chuckled, hoping the change in subject would lighten her spirits as well, at least distract her from the trauma of her recent encounter with Xander.

Sabella raised an eyebrow and looked down at him with narrowed eyes before she looked away and reached up to smooth her hair which was already getting increasingly volumeus with the wind and water.
"Well if you must know, I'm rather disappointed with you."

"That is quite the peculiar thing to find attractive in a girl." Phiona said with a soft smile looking up at him. Relieved that he had decided to change the subject. "But... I will admit that I have admired your hair during class as well, it always seemed so sleek and tidy when you had it pulled back but now," she reached up and played with one of his springy curls. "Now I see that was all an illusion." She teased gently, her voice was quite as she looked up at him, glad to have a distraction, and glad to have him with her. "Can I ask a question?" She continued her voice like the delicate whispers of a thief in the night, her fingers moving from his hair downwards lightly tracing the lines of his abs almost surprised that Gaston was as built as he was. "If your head was what was injured is it necessary for you to be shirtless?"

"That so? Because you seemed quite pleased with me a mere moment ago." The side of his right hand brushing against her arm as scooted closer to her his left hand turning her chin toward him. "Was it because I laughed? I'm sorry it was a trully funny moment, you should have been there." He smirked.

"You don't," Gaston swallowed quietly as she run her fingers across his chest and stomach,"find it terribly hot in the mansion?"
Gaston dared not move, perhaps not even breathe for fear that she would stop touching him. To have her touch his skin, skin rather than his hands and face, was incredibly intimate and nearly left him reeling. He truly was beguiled by this woman, not only by her hair, her touch, her voice her body-
He stopped his thoughts there, hoping to save himself from a rather awkward situation that was stirring quite promptly.
"And the nurse," he exhaled in his fluster," well, she insists on treating me without a shirt on no matter the injury."
Gaston teased her, his nurse as she knew was a mild and meek woman, hardly the lecherous type as he was implying.

"I was there," Sabella retorted quickly and then corrected herself,"well not there, but I was present when you rudely interrupted what would have been an... alright kiss."
The shewolf stated most matter of dactyl, promptly leaving out that the kiss was a lot more than just alright.
"I could also think of several other emotions felt during that moment that was not humourous nor funny."

"I wouldn't blame her..." Phiona muttered watching his chest raise and fall from his irregular breathing patterns and she breifly wondered what was the cause of it was only to come out of her slight daze and realize not only what she had just said but that her hand was still roaming his torso. "Forgive me!" She squeaked suddenly pulling her hand away from him and looking away. Her cheeks were bright red as she was embarrassed by herself and her unladylike like behavior, clearly Gaston was a better distraction then she thought because she hadn't even realized just what she was doing.

"Alright?!" Donahue scoffed. "With the way you were wrapping your slender little legs around me I'd say I was doing a whole hell of a lot better than alright!" He said by way congratulating himself his hand wandering across the slender legs in question.

Gaston blinked at her, eyes wide in surprise. He never would have taken her for such a sensual girl nor had he imagined she'd be all that enticed by his body seeing as his age was slightly more significant than hers to say the least.
"What's there to forgive? Do beautiful women often apologize for their touch to men that crave it?" His tone was softly sultry and yet he chuckled lightly and cupped her cheek in his hand once more, turning her blushing face right back to his.
"I'm no longer married Phiona, I've nothing to be ashamed of and neither do you quite frankly."

Sabella rolled her eyes and slapped his hand lightly from her legs before standing up and crossing her arms across her chest, squeezing her toes into the softened earth as she wandered a few steps back towards the river. She poked her big toe in and wiggled it around in the calmer shallows and watched as minnows darted back and forth beneath the glassy surface.
"Yes, alright. It was alright and nothing more."
She smiled absently to herself as the tiny fish hid beneath stones and weaved their silvery bodies through weeds and stalks.

Phiona looked back at him leaning into his touch. His amber eyes like pools of molten gold that drew her in like a moth to a flame. His black hair as dark as pitch perfectly framing his chiseled features. He was devilishly handsome in a dangerous way that made her question just how important her virtues really were. Yet she knew when they were married she could cast aside her virtues and enjoy him and his charm fully. "Even so." She straightened up and pushed back her hair from her face. "it is quite unlady like to be doing those kinds of things. So I will have to deny the man what he craves for fear of him thinking me a lady of the night or some common harlot." She said though looked back at him with a small playful smirk.

"Are you certain?" He asked slowly standing and walking over to her, wrapping his hands around her waist and slowly kissing her neck. "Is there anyway I can make it up to you?" He whispered into her ear.

"You don't wear near enough rouge and far too long a skirt to be considered a woman in either of those professions."
Gaston teased with a small grin before standing and sliding off of the bed, turning his back to her. His smile instantly faded as he thought of Mary turning Phiona away when she had been in such a panic and then another thought-
If Phiona had truly meant to kill the boy, though he knew she never would, Mary would've allowed a murderer to walk free-
You've allowed a murderer to walk free.
Gaston sighed deeply and squeezed his eyes tightly shut, shaking his head slightly as he did.
No, you've allowed your son to walk free.
Your son.
A murder.

Sabella nodded slowly, leaning her lithe form back against his hardened chest and closed her eyes, relishing in the intimacy of the moment as well as the unignorable presence of his lips on her skin.

(Well stop it, you're making me feel back for just sitting at home and doing homework.)

Phiona frowned seeing his mood suddenly change and she climbed off the bed and walked up to him. "What's wrong?" She asked taking his hand and wondering if she had done something to upset him. Seeing him shake his head she was confused and worried, "I'm sorry if I did something to offend you. I swear that was not my intention." She said biting the inside of her lip as she looked at him.

Donahue was still as bare as the day his was born so he thought it a bit awkward to just be standing here as the cool night air blew on him and the native insects flew and crawled around them. But he tried his best not to ruin the moment for Sabella like he had before by laughing. "And what would that be?" He whispered smoothly his lips traveling from her neck and shoulder down her back and spine ever so slowly, one vertebrae at a time.

Gaston shook his head once more, sighed deeply and then sat in his armchair, scratching the back of his head before running his hands through his hair.
"No, not you Phiona. My wi-" Gaston paused before correcting himself,"ex- wife is now the healer and she should be doing her job regardless of who the patient is. You were not alright, Phiona. Not when you came to see her and not when you came to see me. You should have been taken care of and yet the infernal woman denied you treatment to save the man that assaulted you!"
Rage boiled in his belly and he wanted so desperately to go down to the infirmary and give Mary a piece of his mind.
"How can I trust her to heal my coven when she picks and chooses who she helps?"

"Why do you ask questions you know the answer to?"
Sabella breathed out her words, her lips parted softly as every breath escaped her in an almost soft pant.

Slightly surprised by his strong emotions Phiona frowned slightly not liking how Mary angered him so and she wondered if he would hate her this much one day too. She hoped not, Gaston was almost frightening when he was like this and she could tell he wasn't even that mad yet. "Please don't be so cross, the infirmery was full, I was not really hurt so I left. Mary already had her hands full, and was just as sore as you are from the annulment but did not rest instead went right back to work." Phiona said not wanting Gaston to be so angery at Mary for her doing what she could. "Also after Malcolm and the nurses took you away Mary did heal me, fixing my lip and my cheek. That was before Xander..." She trailed then pointed to her now blemishless cheek though she was now nervously biting her lip again. "The blood was his not mine, I was only a little stunned that's all and you helped make me feel better." Phiona said and her voice shook slightly as she avoided making eye contact with Gaston as this less charming and more frustrated side to him was not something she felt comfortable with.
