Demons residing in Creation

Ok. I get it now. Thanks, Mempo. You're swell.

(Drat, I was so looking forward to the rabid foaming and screaming. I really must stop being so damned convincing. And reasonable. And nice...)

I don't see much of a reason why infernal manses can't exist, unless I completely read something wrong Abyssal manses exist and you can convert manses to it.  And Abyssals serve Primordials, albeit in a different state than Yozi, just like Infernal Exalted serve the Yozis.

I thought manse types were just coverting the flow of essence to more align with your way of doing things in creation.  Since demons like Abyssals are foreign to creation it makes sense to me that to get the maximum benefit from a manse they would want to take the time to change the flow of essense to match their way of thinking and doing things.  It could also be that I just don't know enough about demons in the cannon books and so they work perfectly normal in creation.

It definitely seems plausible to me given that there are Lunar, Sidereal, Solar, Terestrial (the 5 elements), and Abyssal aspected manses.

I would say that an Infernal aspected manse would give similar benies as a Abyssal aspected manse, if I remember corectly, bonus to casting their type of sorcery and charms, as well as the regeneration of essense in creation.  maybe i miss read part about regeneration in creation and that they just have to have a manse in creation to regenerate essence in creation.

Anyone ever done any stories with converting a Abyssal Manse in the Underworld to something else?

But what if you can't remember that beginning? What if your self -your souls, the defining parts of you - have been rent asunder, corrupted, changed beyond recognition? Can you even recognize that you have changed? Or will you simply assume, like a Solar under the Great Curse, that whatever you are now, you have always been that way? And when you remake Creation in your image, lacking any other template, will you not make it as twisted and corrupt as you?
...That is quite the awesome idea. I think I shall use it, just to mess with the heads of some of my [soon-to-be] players who have it in their heads that they know everything there is to know about the setting. -.-"

Heh... I've got something similiar in the background of the game I'm currently running... ^_^

Only, it's NOT the Yozi Princes hit with the changed 'beyond recognition'... kind of sort of... It's one of the Celestial Incarna... I'll let you guess which one. ^_-

Seeing how you're being all secretive, I guess Jupiter.
*smirks* then you have chosen... unwisely.

I can say this, the sun goddess is pretty hot.

But, no more... because I'm not sure if my players visit the compendium or not.   :P

Fuck you. I never scream and I am not rabid.

Also, fuck Borgstrom, from whom your assertion is no doubt derived.

It was in games of Divinity where it says, approximately, that She Who Lives in Her Name ( I think its her, the one who's the fires in crytals) broke 3 of her crystals against Malfeas as he closed around her and Creation now is what wasn't burned away by that. Coula been that there were more metal trees...

Dear boy. Whoever said I was talking about you?

It's been my observation that people agreeing is the death of a thread, because there's no more left to say. I was actually more depressed that no-one ELSE was jumping in than that you were being abnormally pleasant.

You do me great wrong. I base my hypotheses on canon text drawn from many different sources, and (like Joseph) am biased against much of Bergstrom's work. It cuts me to the quick that you'd compare me to someone so universally reviled.   :(

Why is that such great need to insult Borgstrom even when she's not here, has nothing to do with the subject? Is there some... psychosis or obsession you have with her?

Admit it, 'Drew... secretly, you're one of her fanboys.

I can say nothing about Mempo... but I'm sure Mempo might also be a fangirl hiding in the closet.

I do not think I can admit to such a blatant falsehood.

But thanks for taking a break from your Nobilis marathon to pipe in, champ.

In full honesty, Nobilis is a VERY fun game to play, and I've been giving serious thoughts on porting either exalted to that system or vice versa.

Haku--You're a very sick, sick, sick Canadian.

It's one of the things that I like about you, don't get me wrong. But that last statement scares me, just a little.

If you do, let me see the changes though....

It's not sick... I just feel that Nobilis would make for a wonderful system for high powered games (say First Age solars)... or at least easily simulate the Primordials doing their thing... it might even be fun to play a soul of a primordial as you try to fight off the servants of those rebellious gods. ^_-

But yes... if I ever get around to convertin one way or the other, I'll be sure to post it here.

Alright' date=' I'll play the sheltered one, what's Nobilis?[/quote']
"Nobilis : A game of greater powers" is an interesting game created by a certain R Sean Borgstrom. It can't be explained... I can only show you the way.

http://www.guardiansorder.com/games/nobilis/

All I can say is this, the core book is the only book out there and all you need. The rest relies on YOUR imagination and how it interacts with your players'... ^_^

O.o sweet stuff
Indeed... it's good stuff... buy a copy. Help support Burgstrom, show her that Exalted isn't her only calling. ^_-

Or you could be... like... evil, and download a scanned pdf from one of them pirate peer to peer networks. ^_-

If you're interested in other things Borgstrom has written, she's also put out a game under the pseudonym Byron Hall.

Download away . . . while you can! The Supreme Court ruled in favour of VCRs back in the day . . . but the gavel came down hard for P2P in a bad way.
