Faceless Woman Found Dead
WANDSWORTH, LONDON - An unfortunate tragedy has befallen our great city once more. The prior night (10/31) or perhaps by the wee hours of to-morrow, a young woman was found dead upon Twilley St. hidden deep within a darkened alley. The current condition of the very less than lucky maiden makes it near impossible for the officials to determine her previous identity. Her corpse was found by a source, who has preferred to remain anonymous, on the way home from a night out by the local tavern with his friends. Further details are to be omitted until a confirmation could be heard, though what remain most important is that all citizens of London is encouraged to keep to their toes; especially ones residing round the southern of Thames. The Scotland Yard is sent immediately to investigate the matter- and perhaps one or two Round Table Knight representatives would appear. By the words of Inspector Herman Lawrence himself: "People of London are to be expected home by the least half-past eight until we get to the bottom of this. Individuals disobeying the set curfew will immediately be apprehended and charged." The application of the rule is to start immediately. The culprit's status could not possibly be more paradoxical- the authorities shall do their best. Updates in regards to the case shall be announced daily.

Crime Scene # 1

time 7:30 am

location wandsworth, carter's yard

case the empty vial

Early was the morning when Sir Lancelot and Sir Tristan (real name reportedly Othello Rosconval and Godfrey St. Clair, respectively) were sent to the crime scene following a prior inspection by the Yard themselves. Thirty minutes trip, give or take, and the city of Westminster fades within the slums of Wandsworth. The case is on.

What they would find:
- A body: (Based on Sir Tristan) โ€œThe body has been here since before dawn. Perhaps not long after 0100, if the spread of rigor mortis is to be believed.โ€ The state much too damaged to do further inspection, it is speculated that the weapon, if a weapon is used, in question is neither blunt nor sharp: in fact the closest thing to resemble is perhaps a rusty machete. Repeated cuts were done, almost as though animalistic rage. While there is a neck, although in awful state, only the lower jaw remained that connected to it. There are bleached patches spread unevenly through the corpse.
- Broken glass: Large chunks of window glass has been cracked. One of them noticeably has more blood coated upon them.
- Handkerchief: Blood stained, yet intact. It is recognized as one belonging to a member of Madame Taylor's brothel
- Empty Vial: Most of the label has been scraped off, but a name is still visible, Price's: Poultices and Panaceas. A trace of chemical is left: pale blue in colour, strong distinct odour. Identified as pure hydrogen peroxide.
- Scene: Chunks of flesh and blood littered the floor, though the body is oddly dried.

Questions that arise:
- Who is the victim's identity?
- If murder, what could be the motive?
- If a curse-effect, how would this woman be accessible? And to whom?
- Is the emptied vial a coincidence? If not, what relation could it possibly have?
- Is the handkerchief a coincidence? If not, what relation could it possibly have?

What must be done:
- Inspect Price's: Poultices and Panaceas
- Inspect Madame Taylor's brothel

The Brothel

time 9:45 am

location wandsworth, madame taylor's

case the empty vial

Soon after the briefing, group B, lead by Odonata Moore, is sent towards the local brothel of Wandsworth. The handkerchief in hand, truths about one of the other knights, Leonard Lincoln, comes into play. A brothel appearing like any other- the ladies fair and beautiful. What could they be hiding?

What they would find:
- Suspect #1: Mrs. Taylor
- Suspect #2: Isabelle
- Suspect #3: Sadie
- The place smelled strongly of incense. Atmospheric purposes? A touch of sensuality. Or something more?
- The room seems barren. Stylistic choice?

What could be done:
- Go search for Mathilde in the place informed
- Go search for Isabelle in the place informed
- Go search for either in places UNINFORMED (e.g. try to recheck the crime scene, or maybe try the church, yard station, etc)
- Go wait in the brothel
- Go train first
- Something else

name mrs. taylor

location wandsworth, madame taylor's

case the empty vial

A woman appearing to be in her forties, or perhaps older as her beauty does not exactly paint her age (and to question her age, the audacity!). Standing at 5'7, dark brown hair with whitening strands resting at its very top. Extremely charming, she is the owner of a Wandsworth local brothel: Mrs. Taylor's.

The facts:
- The owner of the local brothel. Seemingly a polite woman, yet stern enough that her girls do as her biddings without further questions.
- Seemed to be associated with Leonard Lincoln, the current Knight Percival of the Round Table
- Claims to have a loving husband and a beautiful daughter

The speculations:
- She seemed to care for her girls- most would find it genuine. Yet is that all there is to is?
- If she was the criminal, what would have been the motive? Perhaps a newly turned vampire that went rampage?
- Could those be tears of guilt, as opposed to one of grief?

name sadie

location wandsworth, madame taylor's

case the empty vial

A young, shy girl working for Mrs. Taylor. Appearing youthful, reddish cheeks with part of her baby fat still intact. Large innocent doe eyes seemingly much too distressed from the situation. Fumbling and nervous, she speaks with a small voice. Considering how she looks like, one might question the ethics of the place.

The facts:
- Interview with Sadie: (Based on Sir Bedivere) The night before were crowded with customers- even more so than usual. After her shift came to an end, she claimed to immediately fall asleep. She was woken up by another girl stating Isabelle and Mathilde has yet to come home in the morning.
- Isabelle is one of the oldest among them and has been playing old sister figure for the younger ones
- Mathilde is a new member, even newer than Sadie (who claims to be quite new as well). This makes it unusual that Mathilde leaves her station as she is still very much unused to her brand new job. Isabelle and Mathilde grew close due to this also, presumably.
- Isabelle is often seen at traditional markets in mornings to shop for ingredients, but since the sun is high in the sky, she might be either heading home or stopping by the port in Thames to buy fish. Mathilde rarely leaves the house except visiting her sick mother in south of Wandsworth, close to Merton

The speculations:
- Is there any motive to her lying?
- If not, how much of her information is credible?

The Apothecary

time early noon

location wandsworth, price's: poultices and panaceas

case the empty vial

Despite how faded the label had been, the alliterate name of the shop remained legible still, almost as if it had been an act of divine will. Group A pursues this lead and heads off into the heart of Wandsworth to visit one of its rising pharmacies, Price's for an answer to their empty vial.

What they would find:
- Suspect # 3: Harold Price
- Suspect # 4: Fanny Price
- Suspect # 5: Little Georgie

What could be done:
- Interrogate Mrs Fanny Price (location: main shop, first floor)
- Interrogate Mr Howard Price (location: living quarters, second floor)
- Interrogate Newspaper Boy (location: streets, around the storefront)

name harold price

location wandsworth, price's: poultices and panaceas

case the empty vial

As the eponymous proprietor of Price's, Harold is well-trusted by his community, both for his expertise in solving the physiological issues of Wandsworth and for his surprisingly fair pricing. That being said, though his compassion and humility has garnered admiration from his peers, this ursine man is often ridiculed by those same peers for both his stodginess and spinelessness.

With the evidently tense relations between the husband and wife, some have speculated that the man was made a cuckold.

The facts:
- Ill-tempered, yet seemingly slightly out of it.
- Has been married for a while yet still bear no children.
- Appears to be on less than good terms with Fanny Price.
- Had an affair before. His wife is aware of this.

The speculations:
- (Based on Sir Balin) The face was made unrecognizable. A crime also much too gruesome. A grudge?
- Could the husband be having yet another affair (one that perhaps gone specifically bad)?
- Might be untruthful with the wife around. It might be useful to separate them for further interviewing.
- The wife and he are, without say, the one with most access to the chemicals after all.

name frances price

The lovely wife of Harold Price. Although she had not been a local in the area, she was quickly welcomed by the community; Fanny, as she is often called, is a handsome woman, with a disposition so agreeable and compassionate that one could feasibly compare it to that of an idealized mother. Having said that, the Prices remain, still, only a couple, with no babe to bless their home. Because of this, many of those in Wandsworth pity the woman for her great misfortune.

The facts:
- Timid. As the Bible say, blessed be the meek. However, if one could know any better, her eyes spoke anything but.
- Seems to be less distressed about the murder than her husband. Went as far as commenting on the paper's subsection (man has affair with a cow) jokingly.
- Seems to speak up to her husband, though (and increasingly bitter as well)
- Has been married for a while yet still bear no children
- Appears to be on less than good terms with Harold Price
- Has been the talk of their neighborhood, pitied for her misfortune.
- Remarked to have gone back home late often, as well as holing herself in her room. Not even her husband knows exactly what she does.

The speculations:
- Vampires are infertile. What if this contributes to the couple's continuous failed attempts?
- Where could she have been gone at night, especially the night before?

name little georgie

location wandsworth, store front, street corner

case the empty vial

A young boy who sells newspaper, Little Georgie is who he said he's called. Nothing too unusual- newspaper boys were aplenty especially in their area. Small disposition, boyish in charms. A speck of dust on his nose. Seemed to be a nice lad, albeit a bit clumsy.

The facts:
- Frequents the Apothecary it seems like. Appears to be familiar with the Price couple.
- Clumsy. Oh, so clumsy. Head in the cloud perhaps. Tripped on his way out, knocking down some shelves of papers and whatever else there may be.
- On interview, informs the knights that the Price couple had once a son that was lost in an accident. He knows not of what accident in specific it might have been, but the word on the streets state that it was a vampire attack.

The speculations:
- Is he hiding something else? Has he been threatened? He seemed to fear Mr. Price.
- Or could he be working together with Fanny Price instead?
- Could the tripping be intentional?
- Vampires do not age in appearance. Lord knows how old he truly was, in the case that he was one.

name isabelle

location wandsworth, streets (near the brothel)

case the empty vial

Young woman of a slender build and striking dark eyes. She did not introduce herself, but based on appearances alone you could tell that she is none other than Isabelle. Soft features to complement, she could have beautiful on normal days. Her hair was uncombed, skin pale and cold to touch. Stops the knights in the streets and confronts them.

The facts:
- When she stopped you midway, she seemed frantic- almost out of it. Eyes unfocused, snapping in and off reality. Stuttering.
- Clearly was not in the fish market as Sadie has claimed her to be.
- States that she has been out all night looking
- Eyes reddened. Exhaustion or crying.
- Insists that she comes with the knights to investigate and refuses to go home.

The speculations:
- Pale and cold, both traits a vampire could have (Or exhaustion from being out and about in a night that approaches winter)
- Franticness could be a symptom of a curse-bearer, especially one that is prone to snap/has snapped previously.
- Franticness are also more associated to recently cursed vampires, as they have little to no control of their conditions. A fight of the humanity, some might say.
- Could she have accidentally killed her best friend?

What you could do:
- Agree and let her join the investigation
- Disagree

Case # 2: Tears of an Angel
Monday, December 25th, 1866
The London Gazette
Bloodshed in Winter Wonderland
HARROW, MIDDLESEX โ€“ It is true what they say: that the demons never sleep. Most tragic it was, in the night of Christmas Eve (24/7) as well, that the souls of five innocent young boys were lost to an unprecedented attack. All five victims were students of the Harrow boarding school, none supposedly older than eight-teen in years. It is still undetermined if the preparator was a human or a vampire. Due to the nature of the investigation, guardians and/or parents are urged to not be involved in the area. Ones who reside in the perimeter are not to leave their houses and to secure all their doors and windows. In fact, it is advised to avoid the area entirely until all things have been cleared. The Yard have been sent to confirm the bodiesโ€™ identification and will be giving an official report as soon as possible. As always, the news update daily, and more details will be given as acquired. Once more, our lead inspector Herman Lawrence states that every London citizen is to abide to a set curfew: exactly half-past eight. Individuals that are caught breaking the law will be apprehended and charged. Anyone who possesses further information is encouraged to step forth- anything will help. It is regretful to greet Christmas Day with news so grim, yet as long as the good lives, so will evil. Remain safe, good citizens, and Merry Christmas.

Regarded as one of the most well known, if not the most, all-boys public school in Greater London. Established in 1572, Harrow's Public School is made to train young boys to become gentlemen. Stet Fortuna Domus, Let the Fortune of the House Stand, was its motto, along with Donorum Dei Dispensatio Fidelis, The Faithful Dispensation of the Gifts of God. It was unfortunate that a school of high prestige were to be befallen such tragedy. A misfortune? Or is there something hidden beyond these large, oak doors?
