I nodded and brought out my sword. I swung at the wold and hit it but it charged back at me. "Aaa!" I screamed and swung at it again. It backed away.

 

[Kurosaki Niaxi.]

- Kira watched but started to laugh a bit- " just keep practicing. When you feel ready feel free to duel me. Kira sat down in the grass and watched lyla.

I lunged at it this time and it bursts into pixels. I let out a relieved sigh... until I see five more wolves. "Crap!" I swing my sword at them. My hand feels sore. "Hey can you help me here?" I ask Kira.

 

[Kurosaki Niaxi.]

- Kira got up and prepared her swords. Kira used a skill and she walked up to the pack of Wolves and they all looked scared but Kira didn't care she took a swing and killed off 2 wolves. " OI! LOOK OUT!! 3 wolves went towards Lyla and 4 more went towards Kira.-

I twirl around to face the wolves. I swing my sword across two off them and they burst, but the third one doesn't even fidget. "Thanks!" I yell to Kira as I attack the third wolf.

Kira took on the 4 wolves but Kira didn't even flinch soon all the wolves attacked all at once but Kira dodged all of the attacks and soon killed off 1 of the wolves and she soon started to fight again.

I slice the wolf but it lunges at me. "Aaaa!" I swing my sword around like a maniac.

- Kira kept on fighting soon pixels floated around. Kira killed off the last wolf and her bundle of wolves were defeated

Lyla Nali I eventually defeated the last wolf. "C-can we go to a safe village?" I stutter nervously.

Yea " Kira said and started to walk towards the town of beginnings. " ya coming?"

Lyla Nali "Of course!" I say rushing after her. I put my sword back and rub my hand. "Ow..."

Ya okay?" Kira said with slight concern. Holding a sword depends on ur strength durability my sword is fairly light. " Kira walks into the town of beginnings and buys some food for lyla. Here eat up."

Lyla Nali "I think so. It's just sore," I say following Kira. "Thanks," I say happy now that we are in a safe zone.

Cardinal knew abotu the guide once it was publish, in fact she had in the back of her mind known someone had gone to fight it, meaning she would have work ahead of her hot fixing what allowed a solo person to find and escape the boss so easily. She might not hate people but it was her job to develop the game and when she knew abotu an exploit or easy mechanic it was her job to fix it. She didn't want the people to die but well the fact that the player had done such was something that needed fixing.


Cardinal even used some of her extra knowledge to look up where the player was, another benefit of her job she could find trouble makers or in this case a player she wished to investigate and correct. There was no rule about a boss guide and in fact Cardinal wanted to help. She soon enough found the player and tapped her on the shoulder.

Ueiko turned to see whatever it was and jumped slightly startled. "Wha- Wait, what are you? Also why do you care? It's a guide, plus I specifically said that that was the information that I gathered, I never said it was 100% accurate. Also don't sneak up on people like that! You'd think a person has high enough perception till they get scared... god damn." She was at a local shop and was attempting to restock on potions and other various supplies when Cardinal showed up. She wasn't wearing her armor at the time so rather than her sleek, tight fitting black leather armor she was wearing her frilly white and black dress with the red sleeves accenting the outfit. "Also how the hell did you find me so quickly? I know I put directions in my guide but still, that's much too fast. Only beta testers would be this close to the boss area like me, and even that's a stretch. Hell they wouldn't need my help with info on the boss so you can't possibly be a player... can you?"

" As for how i found you ... Magic " She said complete with hand flourishes for dramatic and silly effect, she thought they looked good. She really needed a better excuse that than but it was true enough magic here was just programming and she used programming to do what she did so she was using magic.


" Still that isn't the point, you did get a little info wrong, namely the boss switches weapons once he get low enough, though i am more interested in how you got to him so swiftly even many beta testers would have a problem find the dungeon, then getting though all the floors and escaping the boss. " She said sounding slightly serious, but more interested in the bugs that let the girl get thought he dungeon so easily.

"You're not an NPC, I'll give you that much, but you sure aren't a player either. That little comment you made about the weapon. Jackpot." Turning around and finishing business with the NPC she took her potions and walked out the door motioning the girl to follow. "So obviously you know something I thought was just me being delusional, so you're obviously not a player, let alone a beta tester because I know he didn't switch weapons so soon back then and I'm the only player in town. As for what you are I really don't care at this point now that I've confirmed you don't play by the same rules as us. As for how I got there so quick? One, I spent all night and all of yesterday traveling here and grinding. Two, I know the general format that the dungeons can have so I simply figured it out little by little. Three, how I got to the boss room so quick? That would be a combination of spells and very carefully fighting my way through. How you ask? With my good friend Lazarus, Butcher of Shadows. It's a beta item I had that was allowed to join me into this "full version" account. It was the only one allowed but I know the general area, and information, to get the other two back, though this time I'll have to be much more careful once we reach that point." Ueiko kept walking and turned into an alley. "Sorry for the info dump by the way, as I was saying the fifth piece, how I got out so easy? I used one of the escape crystals you get by default. As much as you may think I do my work legit, I wouldn't want my title to be put to shame thank you very much. I worked hard to become the Consult of the Shadow." With that Ueiko sighed being out of breath and left the alley continuing outside of town to grind further.

She would rearrange the entire dungeon, and buff the boss a little bosses were meant to take groups, she would have to test a fun idea of the boss doing less damage with you had more people in your party and buffing their health damage and armor if you had fewer. That however woudl need to be balanced by including more powerful loot. Also she should need to add in some stealth detection , that could be avoided but well it would be a fun surprise. She didn't feel the escape crystals needed balancing as that was what they were for, even if that made them cheap to her, maybe she needed to make them rarer.


Cardinal went after the girl best to try some explanation rather than none even if it was a complete lie she of course caught up easily minor tweaks that disappeared were nothing big. " Ok you got me, I actually am something of a hacker, i know how to get into the game files" She said once she caught up again though the fact she looked maybe 10 to 13 with her avatar who knew how that woudl fly.

"Yea, like I said I no longer care what exactly you are because I have a pretty good idea. Either an admin, AI, or something to do directly with the files and algorithms. Its pretty easy to figure out when you're a top notch infobroker. Though if you want a little tip about being more convincing you can start by making yourself noticeable, I've been leveling nothing buy my dexterity, strength, and intelligence. With that info in mind I've been leveling perception as my side skill which makes noticing things easier. You were literally undetectable the entire time. If you're going to sneak on people in the earlier floors you're going to want to fix that red flag there." Ueiko needed to continue grinding solo, if she did that she'd be able to stick with the top notch players and get info quicker than the other infobrokers, giving her an advantage not only stat-wise, but over all as well. "Now if you'd excuse me Lazarus and I have some grinding to do. Equipping her armor and her sword Lazarus and her basic short sword she walked forward into the surrounding wilderness.

"Yea, figures you'd do something about my info." Pulling up her forum she created she added a note. 'Dungeon's been changed, forget all information thus far. Sorry.' Closing the forum she stared a the party invite. "I'm aware of that fact about exp but we beta testers know how to get the exp we need. You should recognize where I'm going shouldn't you?" She was headed for the lower levels of the boss dungeon. She had to start correcting her now false information, she refused to have her title tarnished because of a system interference. "I'll accept but if you interfere I won't hesitate to leave the party and continue on my own spectacles. This is strictly business." God damn this little annoyance is going to screw with me. How am I going to make business when it matters? The first floor is free info because after all everyone needs to work together to an extent. Still...

" I mean everyone is trapped here fewer deaths would be nice, also shouldn't Beta testers be well like di mean we have the best info if you helped people learn then things would progress faster" Cardinal mused as human minds still did confuse her as solo players were well odd you got more exp killed things faster and tended to get more loot if you had other people around. "Fun wouldn't be the word I'd use considering our current situation..." Ueiko realized she never asked for a name, despite her being something else she might as well get to know the thing since it was obvious she was stuck with it. "I'll take my chances and redo my info, despite what you've done I want my information as close to 100% accurate as I can get. Though since you're obviously intent on sticking around my name is Ueiko, aka, Consult of the Shadow. What am I calling you by?" Ueiko had no time for her playful behavior, she needed to focus on the task at hand. Being ahead.

" i am cardinal like the bird, i really need red armor" Cardinal said getting distracted with her dark colored robes really she should have made them red, but getting things dyed was not exactly widely available right now. Lots a of things would come out as people leveled and explored the higher floors. Still it was sad that someone was just to serious to have have fun, something big had been dropped on them so they needed some stress relief, there had been a program for that but well it wasn't available right now.


" Really what do you think i am someone who can just change how the game works on the fly or something." She said really she could but having someone just think you could was annoying in fact an admin would have some problems doing that from inside the game " i mean if anything after that the game just hot fixed itself it is meant to run with no human interaction after all" She said saying what she thought was common knowledge.


" And come on you can have a little fun you need to enjoy yourself where is the fun in being deadly serious you more likely to break if your constantly grumpy come on i know you can smile" Cardinal said trying to get Ueiko to at least look like she was enjoying the game.
