She was practically jumping with excitement. She finally got enough money to buy the game. With the help of her parents of course. She gets the game and was driving home with her mother. They pulled into their drive way. Her house was just a simple two story house, just a neutral color and a garage. She gets out of her car and goes inside. She grabs her game and walks up to her room. She sets up the nerve gear and lays on her bed. She puts the nerve gear on her head and activates the gear by saying "Link Start." She goes in the game and she has to create her avatar. She does it's it looks similar to her but a different hair color. She changes her hair to black. She changes her skin color so the black hair doesn't look emo. She changes her eye color to gray to compliment her features. She simply turns her name to her real name which is Kate. She thinks her avatar is ready so she goes into the game. She is amazed at what she sees around her.

Jake sat at his computer desk, looking at his monitor and downloading Sword Art Online. One of the newest and, soon to be, most popular game. "If only Damen were here . . ." he said aloud, remembering his little brother. It still bothered him that he left due to memory loss 8 years ago, that's what caused him to revert to online gaming. Walking over to his bed he layed down on it, carefully placing the nerve gear on his head, "Link start!"

He was transported into the game and put in his password and everything. When he was about to create his avatar he used the same account from the beta test and immediately was logged in. He arrived in the center of the town of beginnings and looked around at all the different people, etching to start playing.

Kent walked down a long hall with doors on each side. In his hand was a fairly large box that contained SAO and the nervegear. He wasn't that much of a gamer, but the chance to fight huge monsters was just unbearable. While he did but it himself, from the money he won at the last European Martial arts (aka sword fighting) tournament, but he still had a lot of money left over. He stopped at a door that read 202. He opened the door,c and entered his dorm. It only had a bed, desk, and a small closet, but in the past two years in this boarding school Kent had called this home. He slipped of his bag, and got the game ready. Next he put the nervegear on and said

"Link start."

After setting up a character that looked exactly like him. Black hair, green eyes. Kent was transported unto another world. The first thing he did was pat himself. This all feels way to real he thought to himself before noticing something strapped to his back. It was a starter sword, and he quickly took it out of its sheath. The balance isn't the best, but it will do he thought while swinging a few practice swings. He could get used to this.

She looked around in the Town of Beginnings. To be honest she had no idea what to do. She starts to look around. The world was amazing. She looks through her in inventory to find she just had a beginning weapon in her inventory she pulls it up and it was extremely light. Almost too light. She puts it into her inventory and decides to go take a look around. She starts to move away from the square where everybody spawned. She starts just walking around the town. She eventually finds a huge open field. Different animals were roaming through it. She looks around at the world. 'If only this was real' she thinks to herself. Everything felt so weird to her, it looked completely real. She knew she was going to be spending a lot of time on this game. There was a slight breeze in the air. How could something seem so real, but be so fake? She thinks as she looks around. She sees other players in the distance but no one real close to her. She heard there were guilds in this game but she didn't really want to join any.

Venus noticed all the newcomers, feeling incredibly embarrassed, compared to the new members he looked quite different, school boy clothes. Skinny jeans, loafers, button up and vest. The outfit he got stuck in the game wearing. There is no hiding it, Venus was stupid and deleted an irreversible mechanic for himself, logging out. Out of everything he could do, he deleted his log out like a total noob. He still had the power to travel between game worlds, but it was so tiring living on the edge.

Walking through the Town of Beginnings he looked for a pub or hotel, he wasn't the richest, nor the poorest. He didn't have enough for his own house so he hops between places. He just feels more comfortable with more people, more protection, more time to run. Not that he would turn back from a fight.

Jake checked his inventory, measly old shortsword. Wow! What a great gift! He thought too himself, stumbling around away from the square. He noticed a girl just a ways away. Not really knowing how to approach her, he decided on a great idea. Wing it.

"Hey, umm you lost or somethin?" asked Jake, scratching the back of his head and placing his hands in his pockets.

Kate

A voice brings her out of her thoughts. She turns towards the guy. "Oh no just looking around." She says simply with a smile. "It's just so surreal, I'm just trying to get used to it" she says. She looks at the world around her even though it was just a game. She didn't think she could really get lost in this world, for one she did have a map in the inventory but for now there was only one floor so far. She looks up to the main square which was a little bit away, people were for some reason freaking out and shouting about something but she just ignored it thinking it was nothing major.

Kent walked threw the street. Spinning his sword in his hand. Now where can I get some action? He asked himself, but he decided to just leave town, and entered a large field.

While going deeper into the field his walking was halted by a boar with glowing red eyes, "so you'll be my first opponent?" He asked the boar, knowing that it couldn't talk back, but it answered with a quick charge. Kent sidestepped the measly attack, and brought his blade down into the beasts side. It wasn't enough to kill it, but it did do a good amount of damage. After doing the same tactic he killed the boar, and gained some experience.

"Well I guess you get used to it after a while" said Jake, looking down for a moment to think about what to do. Where to go. "Hey want me to show you around?" he asked, slightly embarrased about asking a girl he just met that. But then again that was the great thing about MMO's, that you could meet a random person and help them out.

She heard him say that she will get used to it after a while. How would he know. "You were a beta tester weren't you?"she asks with a smile. She didn't really care if he was one or not. It really didn't matter to her. "I would love for you to show me around, but I kinda want to see what I can figure out on my own, you know?" She says looking at him. She did want to see what see could do on her own, what things she could learn on her own, stuff like that. She sees the sky light up in a light orange, reds, and yellows. It looked like the sun was beginning to set.

"J͈o̸̳͓̣̖̯̭̗y̵̗!̺͇̼̹̳͇"

The True Story- WARNING: LONG!!!
The male opened his pale crimson eyes, gentle gaze facing at the smooth gray floor beneath him. He twitched slightly, moving his eyes to look around his position, finding himself to be puzzled by his surroundings instead. Around him and his small spot were orange computer codes running up and down, acting almost as the strong walls of a birdcage. Behind them there appeared to be nothing, just a dark abyss ready to swallow up any creature lured into it's shadows. The blonde sat up, folding his large red butterfly wings- seemingly made from more of the computer codes- down until the tips of them touched the cold ground. The boy peered up at the orange codes, his eyes were glazed, looking like the eyes of a dead man. His skin was a blinding pale, appearing almost snow white, his body was bare of clothing, making his skin glow a little brighter. The only color he had was the soft glow of his red eyes and his bright ashy-blonde hair. He continued to stare at the spot of the codes, gaze unfaltering. He didn't even blink until a gentle voice could be heard from the other side of the codes. "Aki Ayano" The voice whispered, causing the boy's eyes to close slowly, opening back up again soon after. A gloved hand seeped through the codes, reaching through until the owner of the arm touched the boy's cheek gently. "That is your name, remember?" The man's words pulled no reaction from the butterfly child but did receive a monotonous response. "I... remember." The child said, still giving his blank dead stare to the wall of codes. "Good." The voice hummed, beginning to pull his hand away, however was stopped by another pale hand pulling his back, holding the man's hand to the child's cheek still. The boy snuggled his face into the man's hand. "Don't leave. It's lonely here..." A soft whisper came from the boy as his wings twitched. His empty eyes filled with tears as he pressed closer into the hand, not wanting the person to leave. He'd be trapped in the silence forever.

A soft chuckle sounded from the other side of the code wall, causing the boy to turn his red stare back to the codes. "You're lonely, eh?" The man's voice said, removing his hand as the boy was distracted. He then pressed into the circle of codes, revealing himself as a black cloaked man, the ends of the fabric torn to shreds, revealing white boots. The man wore a white rabbit mask that held a frown on it, a scythe held up on his back. His hair was hidden by the shadows of his black hood, but a few sandy-brown strands stuck out here and there. "Aki, do you want to go where the people are?" The man asked, his mask bobbing in a motion that showed it was he who was speaking to the butterfly child. "Yes, I'd do anything." The boy said, a small spark of life flashing in his eyes. A slight snicker of amusement parted from the man's lips, but it didn't effect the naked boy at all. He was set on this. "Alright, you can play the game Aki. But you'll never get to go back to them again. When the game is over it dies, and so do you Aki. Do you understand?" The words the man gave the boy held a soft hint of concern. The blonde child nodded his head quickly, smiling as his tears streamed down from his pale red eyes, cheeks flushing in a soft pink color. "I understand. Thank you." The boy said, his voice gained more emotion as he stood up shakily and pulled the man's head down, kissing the mask that covered his face.

Joy grew eager as he was logged into the game. His heart was beating quickly from the excitement, so fast, anyone would have thought he was having a heart attack. Joy spawned into the Town of Beginnings, just as most of the other players had. His fair-toned skin held a strong grin as his emerald eyes searched around. "I'm here. Sword Art Online." He muttered, voice full of determination. His beginners outfit was that of a soft brown shirt, some tight black jeans, and a pair of white boots. His weapon was in his gamer inventory, which he didn't find important at the moment. He was to busy looking around, blonde hair shining a beautiful light golden color and getting into his eyes with every turn of his head and gust of fake wind. Joy had begun walking around the town of beginnings, taking the time to loot and sell things for more money. He was fairly good at merchandise, thankfully. And got quite a little more money with his bargaining skills.

He held a piece of bread in his hand, walking through the fields just outside the town of beginnings, having finished his job of getting more supplies and money. He wasn't worried about any mobs, he'd always come back to life if he was killed off, right? 'That is how the game is programmed.' Joy thought, eating the last of his bread piece.

The blonde fell over onto his knees almost immediately after, groaning and holding his head. A snappy flash of a strange orange wall of numbers flashed through his mind, making him get a migraine. He wasn't supposed to be able to feel pain in this game, but he could of sworn this pain was real. He managed to pick himself up and wobble over to a nearby tree, sitting down at its trunk and holding his head still. The flashes of the codes had stopped, but the headache had not. He eventually just relaxed by the tree, closing his eyes and falling asleep right where he was, although he was only half asleep and was still conscious of his surroundings.

Jake grinned when she said he was a 'beta tester' "Maybe I am" he said teasingly. Glancing up at the sky he noticed that the sun was setting which meant the day was about to become evening. "I get what ya mean. You want to see what you can do by yourself, been there done that...but I'm glad I can show you around, got nothing better to do" he explained, equiping the shortsword on his back and trying to find a place to start.

"You so we're a beta tester" she said smiling. "And I guess I'll let you show me around, couldn't hurt" she looks around again. It was weird other players seem to be on edge about something. She still couldn't believe any of the stuff around her was just a video game. She wishes it was real at this point but that point of view could change. She looks at him. "I guess I'll follow you" she says

"Right this way then" said Jake, leading her through the groups if people who were still all running around or doing the tutorial. After a while of walking towards the exit of the town of beginnings, the only thing he could think of was to make small talk. Wasn't one of his best suits but it was very akward to just walk and not say anything. "So I take it you're new? Good. Means I can sit on my ass and help you out with the tutorial…that is if you even need the tutorial when you got a beta tester by your side" he explained, his grin growing larger by the second as his dark dark blue hair went back and his yellowish orange eyes wandered around.

Kent let out a long, loud sigh when he sat down. He had spent the last few minuets farming the boars. From it he had obtained a good amount of money, plus some loot to sell back at town. He found it odd that you could get tired in a video game, but hey, this is the future after all. He swiped open his menu and checked his experience, "almost level 2 huh.... man this is going to take forever," he sighed, but from his short time in this game he was having fun.

Joy noticed another new character, this one sticking out to him. He seemed so different, almost inhuman. He walked over to the small boy, loafers padding against the dewy grass, his blue hair tied up and framing his face as usual. "Hi, I'm Venus!" Venus introduced himself, crouching down and giggling sweetly. "I'm guessing you're new to the game? There's been a lot of newbies today." He explained, sitting next to the boy, fingers going through his hair slowly. "You seem so confident and cool compared to the other ones though." Confusion clouded the little boy's eyes as he studied the features of the character, compare to the others he seemed so perfect. "Ah, you're asleep. Sorry to intrude!" Venus rushed out, noticing the blonde head of hair bobbing against the tree trunk. Standing up he wiped off his pants and looked down at the male once again.

Joy had actually fallen into a sort of sleep mode when someone's voice sounded somewhere near him. The blonde ignored the voice, keeping his eyes closed as whoever it was spoke. He waited for them to notice he wasn't listening, and was more asleep then he was awake. However, he couldn't keep his eyes closed nay longer and instead opened them to look up at the boy who had been talking to him, emerald eyes examining him. "Well, I was asleep." 'Sort of.' Joy said, examining the kid. "Do you need something, or did you just come over here because you felt like it?" Joy asked, speaking with a flat tone. It was how he normally was, blank and boring. When feeling super happy though, he shows it.

Venus looked down at his feet, embarrassed that he made such a weird first impression, "I don't know, you seemed interesting." He whispered, shuffling his feet. "Sorry to bother you, by the way you shouldn't sleep out here, boars and the like can get you." He whispered, opening the trading menu. "What's your name? I can give you some money for a room at a hotel." He offered, looking above the other boys head to find a name tag. Despite the cold attitude, Venus knew he was probably a good kid deep down inside.

There was a slight pause after he introduced his name, but he shrugged it off as if it hadn't happened. "What about you?" He asked, trying not to sound completely anti-social.

Venus shrugged, not wanting to explain all the mechanics the game, it would suck to confuse a newbie. "Venus." He repeated, tightening his pig tails. "Contrary to popular belief, I'm not a girl I swear. It's just that my hair sets fire vey easily, so I keep it back." He explained, voice softening as he just stopped, not wanting to bore him. "Nice to meet you, Joy. I started my game in GGO, but now I'm here." He explained, deciding it was best not to talk about his hacking. The last thing he needed was to come across like an ass, especially to someone who could he a potential ally. Venus wanted, and needed, all the friends he could have.

She follows him as they walk through the town he pointed certain things out. She just continued walking beside him. She thought about making small talk but she didn't really know what to say. She hears him say something before she could think of what to say. " Yeah I am new I guess it's obvious and wow cocky much?" She says jokingly with a smile. She continues walking. "So what was it like being in the beta test, how good did you get?" She asks curiously and slightly sarcastically.

Jake stopped to remember what happened. It'd been a long time but the level he got was. . .disappointing to him, not that anyone else wasn't impressed but he thought he could do better. "It was fun . . . I suppose. The highest floor I got was up to 54, that's the highest anyone made" said Jake, bringing out his sword and twirling it around for something to do.

She just continues walking with him. She pulls up her menu to look at the time, she had to get out of the game for dinner. She just kind of ignored it thinking she was 17 and could just get something to eat when she felt like it. She just continued walking. She actually was starting to feel hungry so she thought she could just log out for a while then come back into the game. She stopped walking and turned to the guy. "Hey i'm going to log out and ill be back on in about half an hour." she says as she pulls up her menu and goes to log out. The log out button wasn't there."The log out button is missing" she says looking up at him.

"What? It should be righ-" he opened his menu and went to the options part. When he scrolled down there was no log out button. "Perhaps it's just a bug or something, did you try contacting the admins or moderators? . . ." he asked, already trying to think of what the reason of this was. It wasn't normal that this would be a bug right off the bat. . .
