Fandom DBZ-Piracy on the Sea of Stars

So.. on my next post.

I'd actually like to continue my monologue in the same Vein- making an Intimidate Check playing of my "Kneel Before me" and "Demonic Overlord" Z-Souls? Do I still only get a bonus from one, or can they overlap?

She may have started the threat before she realized he had, and would have felt silly cutting it off mid-way.

Sorry about the long pause. The weekend was crazy. Also, no Zenkais for anyone, no one got that hurt, actually.

Also, it's fine to allow Z-Soul overlaps, if it's appropriate, I think.

Tempted to still do the Intimidation Attempt.... just to get the Kid in line.... but also don't want to ignore the NPC's... Hrm..

You'd get an additional die for each overlapping Z-Soul, so 2 for 2 and 3 if you can finangle it to get all of your Z-Souls into one action.

And a nice reminder that even out of Oozaru form, Edama is possessed of super-strength. Besides forgetting to be afraid, it's what makes DrunkEdama so very frightening.

That's....a lot of Saiyans. Maybe I should make a different character for diversity/variety's sake.

Might I recommend Namekain... it's currently a great race, because everyone will have a highly charged polarized racial opinion of you.

I don't know... I like the idea of them, but there aren't enough races/abilities yet.

I'm going to wait to make one till I can absorb people a-la Cell or Buu.

It's called "invent a transformation." :P

I mean more something along the line of abduct someone into my body to use their racial abilities.

It's not relevant until I need another character... I hope there will be a new edition of the game out by then, so let's not worry about it.

Bio-droids are pretty cool, especially if what Based Regalia showed off is going in the next edition. Making new forms would be simple enough, so if Edama seems like an also-ran to you, then we can work something out.

Oh, I like Edama quite a lot, but I feel like he's nowhere near ambitious enough for this group.

@Kai123: The way you have your current ki attack set up doesn't work mechanically. Variable ki cost and variable charge times aren't a thing.

Ok, most important two questions.

1) What do you want your attack to be like/do?

2) How much XP do you have to spend on it?

Oh makes sense well I mean I rather it be similar like the Kamehameha as stated in info. probably around 25 xp is that ok???

Right... let's math you some ki attack.

You want a beam, which is X 2.5 cost

We can make it cost 10 Ki, which is a lot, but your pool can handle it, and it'll keep this from being spammed, but be more of a reserve measure. Cost X .75

We can give it a one turn Charge, which is quick, not as long as a Special Beam Cannon or anything. Cost X 1

Let's make it Magnitude 3. This means when you attack someone with it, you roll the attack three times, and it has to be defended against trice. Because that just how long you can maintain the beam. Cost X 2

Let's make it large, meaning it's a wide beam, making it a bit harder to dodge, block, or parry. Cost X 2

That gives us a total cost multiplier of 7.5. If we give this attack a Damage Amp of 1, base cost 3 xp, you'll get this attack for 23 XP.

That's for a beam that will let you attack three times after charging it for a turn. People's defenses are going to be down one dice, and on each attack, you'll being doing four + excess successes damage per hit.

Honestly, that's the closest to the Kamehameha as I think you can get for your price point.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say you don't play dice-based RPGs all that often, Kai. If I'm on the money: welcome to the dork side! We have cookies. And geek caltrops.

As an aside: is it odd that the way they did racials on the various android models bothers me? Only two of Gero's androids ever displayed energy draining as a capability: #19 and Gero himself.
