"Goodnight, flower," he whispered, holding her close.

Ambrosia drifted off, the smile firmly planted on her face.

Xavier didn't fall asleep until an hour or so later, enveloping her in a sort of humanoid cocoon.

(Wow, that sounds fun. xD )


The mext morning, Ambrosia awoke to the feeling of being cradled against Xavier's chest.


She smiled and sighed happily, "Xavier...."


Oh.. What was happening to her? Only a few hours ago she had hated this boy.... The boy who is now her mate....


She frowned slightly at her thoughts.

 

[Snowfeather]

Xavier was still asleep, and his face buried into her neck, right where her mark was.

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

Ambrosia squeezed her eyes shut, panic and fear welling up inside her. She took a deep breath and held it, until the worst of the panic and fear had passed.


'I want to go home... But I need to stay with Xavier... Oh, what shall I do?'

Xavier awoke. He scented the air, fear. "Flower?.." he whispered worriedly, sitting up.


"Are you okay?"

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

"Yes.... No... I don't know..." She laughed weakly, her body going numb as the fear washed away at the sound of his voice.

Xavier frowned and embraced her.


"You can tell me.." he whispered.

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

Ambrosia nuzzled his neck, and took a deep breath, enjoying the scent he gave off.


"It's.. It's nothing, really."

Xavier growled with pleasure as she nuzzled into his neck. His grip on her tightened.


"I know something's wrong.."

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

She sighed.


"Fine.... I want to go home.... But I can't. I can't leave you...."


She pressed her face against his chest, trying to hide the blush that was creeping up her neck.

Xavier froze. His grip tightened as he held her close.


"I love you, but I can't let you leave.."

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

"I know..." She whispered sadly. "Believe me, I know... But since I can't go home, can I at least talk to Lucifer? I know he is here. I was there when my father convinced God to send him here."

Xavier thought for a moment.


"I'll see what I can do," he said, sighing.


He kissed her forehead.

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

"Thank you." Ambrosia smiled at him, before placing a chaste kiss on his lips.


"Thank you so much."

Xavier blushed slightly, but held her close.

She nuzzled against his neck, a smile on her face.

Xavier growled, and laid back down, her laying on his chest.


He closed his eyes, breathing in her scent.

Ambrosia buried her face in his neck, giggling quietly as he growled.


"You're like a puppy..."

Xavier smiled and kissed her temple.


"I'm your puppy," he whispered.

Ambrosia looked up at him and ran a hand through his hair.


"Cute puppy."

Xavier growled and closed his eyes.

 

[Alice Ivy Macintyre]

Ambrosia cocked her head, her hand stilling in his hair.


"Puppy?"


She giggled slightly, though a spike of worry pierced through her chest.

Xavier opened his eyes and smiled. "Don't stop," he said.
