Darkness in Elaria [ACTUAL RP]

She smiled a little but her smile soon faded as she looked away. Her ear lowered as low as they could. "I to am not found of my kind. We are such prideful creatures who once in a few years are blessed by mother, we see the good and bad in everything but I guess those time of my kind have come to an end." she gritted her teeth as she remembered the time when she was casted out without a free tiral.

Hilda nodded and looked to Eimin affectionately.

"Your kind have had rough life's for a long time since… go and enjoy the day for once we enter the marsh the sights will be dreary indeed." Hilda said shooing her away jokingly.

She nodded her head as she gave a slight smile. She left the tent, pushing away the sheet as a cup came running up to her. She smiled as she kneeled down , slowly patting his head. "Hello there young one." He had jumped on her making her fall down. She smiled a little as she let out a soft smile. " Energetic aren't we, alright , shall we play a game of tag." The pup nodded it's head as she smiled. " I' it, ill give you a five second head start." The pup smiled as he jumped off and began to run. She closed her eyes as she laid on the floor and began to count to five.

A scout came running into camp and went to where Skjorn and Havgre stood. He was anxious to give his report.

"The Orcs… they ambushed General Cypherion Bloodkin and captured him… he will surely die…" the scout reported. They began to walk out of the camp to find the general, they couldn't just leave him to die. Havgre ordered people to stop packing and to wait until he and Skjorn returned. They began to walk past Eimin.

Eimin looked through her fingers as she questioned them on where are they going. " where are you going, so fast is their something wrong." She sat up from the ground she laid upon as the pup form before came and jump on her with a smile as he urged her to play. " give me a second young one." She stood to her feet putting the pup down beside her as she walked to them both. " are you ok"

Skjorn looked to her mad at the situation.

"That damned fool General Bloodkin has gotten himself captured! Does he not think with his mind!?" Skjorn said furious. Havgre looked to Eimin.

"Come with us you will be useful! We must leave at once!" Havgre said as he walked away slapping Skjorn on the shoulder. Skjorn drew an axe and looked to Eimin, motioning with his head to come on as he caught up with Havgre. They were tuly great friends and it showed, they've fought, bled, and drank with each other.

She nodded her head as she whistled for Coro. Coro came running over but he was silently, not even the ground shaking beneath his huge paws. She grabbed onto his mane and threw her self onto his backside. " follow" Coro nodded his head as she looked down toward the two. "I am sorry for your friends capture I will help to the best of my abilities." Coro whine as he nodded while smiling. She waved the little pup bye and put her bow around her back.

circling the Hummie in the center of the room Gazgull spun about and faced him." you lot killed that Drake that used ta live here. and this is were we will have your head.somebody bring me his sword. I'll go earn it back the hard way." with that a 'Ard boy walked forwards, his heavy armor clanking. he bore the weapon the man had been carrying when he was caught by Snikrit. the orc strode up to the man and tossed the sword at his feet. Gazgull turned and picked up his new axe. the axe was immense but only had a single head. " took this from a man in a hood that tried ta fight us. its an Execution axe. good for claimin' your head if ya prove your worth ta me." with that he strode forwards and picked the man up. the 'Ard boy cut the mans bonds and Gazgull dropped him. " well don't keep us waitin' pick up your sword, Ya bleedin runt!" Gazgull swung the first strike only to have the man get his weapon up to block it. bellowing laughter the 'Ard Boys cheered their boss on as he swung again and again.

Ausinoe was horrified that the curse had grown so strong within her. For years she had thought that she may be able to keep the shadow within her from growing, but now, all of that shattered in her mind. "Skudi... I'm sorry... There is a lot I need to admit to you now."

Skudi was relieved she was all right and decided to hear her out.

"You know Skjorn won't be happy about his table, he made it himself, I think you do have some explaining to do." Skudi replied helping her into a chair. He pulled up a chair and lit a pipe, which he only did in stressful times.

Ausinoe's face was racked in pain and despair, and holding back tears, she began her story. "Thousands of years ago, my people were nomadic herders on the 3aresh landbridge. The tribes were devastated by constant warring with the Ama, a group of feudal warriors who enslaved my people and brought them back to their cities in the north. The probblem became so severe that we sled hundreds of miles south to the Amalsun river. There we formed a coalition of seven city states, and lived in isloation and relative peace for quite some time. About a thousand years later, the Ama returned, now a unified empire with great desire to conquer our fertile river delta. They massacred us with their advanced technology, pillaging our cities and enslaving our people in in droves. We beleived that we would not survive the onslaught. Desprate for help, as our gods had abandoned us, we pleaded with the beings of the spirit world for aid. Only one answered, a weak, shadowy spirit under the name Shushannu. With the blood of those slain on the battlefeild, her grew strong and was able to drive back the Ama. But he had grown gluttonous. He demanded that we strike the Ama settlements on our ancient homeland in 3aresh, and we - furied by a need for revenge - agreed. With the blood spilt here, Shushannu grew into a near god, and became the center of our lives as a society: seen as our savior. We lived in a new capita in the forest to the north, and prospered. However, Shushannu's glutonous nature strengthened. He demanded constant blood sacrifice and neary acheived absolute control and total oppression of my people. We were only freed after a revolution against him cast him out, and we fed north to establish Asparas. He has never forgiven us for this, and thus had waged war with us ever since. Because he could not enter our magically protected city of Asparas, he unleashed a plague of shadows, making the infected his avatars. This allowed him to work against us from the inside. The plague... is the source of that outburst. It feeds off of rage... and i was so angry.... it took over."

Skudi took this in. He took a deep draw from his pipe and blew out a cloud of smoke.

"So how does Durtak fit into this?" Skudi asked Ausinoe.

" He may be one of Shushannu's followers. Although he oppressed us miserably, many people beleived that he was justified in doing so. Shushanu's philosophy was about the value of men and civilizations, namely that Shushannu would bring a great era of peace to the world, but first the world had to be cleansed of savage races. He beleived that everything had an inherent nature, and could never change it. With us as his chosen people, Shushannu spoke of eliminating the vermin from the world and establishing a new of peace and enlightenment among those who remained. This is... very similar to Dartak's motives. Furthermore, although most of the writing you showed me was unknown to me... I noticed a small section written in the Pami dialect of Muruthu."

"The Pami dialect is old and it's characters are somewhat obscure... but I was able to make out the name "Shushannu", and another one "Daeyavaq". All names in Muruthu are indicated in text, so that's how I know." Ausnioe paused. "Daeyavaq is an ancient name meaning 'savior'. Linguistically, it's phonetic resemblance to the name "Dartak" is great. Furthermore, there is Muruthani writing here... I think he was an avatar of Shushannu, and a resident of the Pami city state."

Skudi was stunned. This meant their history was changed by another race and Elaria had no clue. He then Looked to Ausinoe solemnly.

"How has he lived for so long then, he was supposedly assassinated over two hundred years ago?" Skudi asked puzzled.

"I don't know. I was one of the Murutha tasked with assassinating those infected with the curse, so I've studied it extensively, but I've never heard of it extending one's life"

"Maybe it is something… something he found here that enhanced or altered his power! Have you heard of such a thing?" Skudi asked this was all starting to make sense to him.

(Goodnight everybody!)
(Sorry for the wait goddessofgod, waiting for firelava to confirm some things before we have some action!)

(ok )

"The Murutha are a people who live an isolationist view of life.... I know virtually nothing of these lands other than your language." Ausinoe responded. "But for now... I need to think. This demon could and will destroy your lands in entirety if he had judged you unworthy of existance. I give you a grave warning, Skudi. My people's oppression has lasted so long and been so DEVASTATING, it has never left us."

Ausinoe remembered a song she had heard sung by an old woman back in Asparas: the mother of a young man who had become an avatar and razed an entire town in the subterranean section of the city. Her agony and horror had always stuck out in Ausinoes mind: a mother without her son, her venom towards her son's destroyer lamented in song.

... he sends the pestilence and plague into your house...

...into your bed....

....into your springs...

....into your streets....

....into your drink.....

...into your bread....

Upon your cattle!

Upon your sheep!

Upon the oxen in your feild!

Into your dreams....

Into your sleep...

Until you break!

Until you yeild!

He sends the swarm, he sends the hoard!

Let my people go!

I feel these pictures illustrate Ausinoe's transformation quite nicely:

Skudi stood boldly and looked to Ausinoe.

"We have to stop him… No, WE MUST STOP HIM!!" Skudi said as he pounded his hand on the table.

She nodded her head as she whistled for Coro. Coro came running over but he was silently, not even the ground shaking beneath his huge paws. (Sorry didn't know you replied!)

They followed the scout into the swamp where General Bloodkin was ambushed. He looked to Havgre as he sniffed the air.

"It was here that it happened, where the gray skins took the man!" The scout reported. Havgre sniffed the air.

"Go back to the camp, await our return." Havgre ordered, the scout nodded and took off back towards camp. Skjorn slushed through the murky water, it was hard to track things in a swamp, suddenly Skjorn felt as if he were sucked into the murk! He could easily enough feel his way down and then through a passage that led to a cavern, this must be how they ambushed him and how they retreated so quickly from the last battle Skjorn raised himself out of the water and into the cavern he could hear laughing and the sound of fighting further ahead.

Havgre was startled, he looked to Eimin before diving into where it appeared Skjorn had been sucked in my the swamp, he followed the same path as Skjorn and surfaced in the cavern. Skjorn motioned for him to be quiet putting his finger to his lip, they stopped and listened to what was happening up ahead.

Eimin looked down toward the swamp, but coro gave a disapproving look. She smied as she used his head, as a diving board, and went right through it. Her landing was graceful once she tumble down and landed on one knee. She was silent so she wouldn't be heard. Her ears twitched as she listened to the voice, picking out key sounds that matched the one s on the battlefield. She slowly stood up checking to see If she had everything. Coro waited outside as he backed up and waited for their return.

Skjorn waved for them to follow him, he crept towards the voices, he could see a dim light down a tunnel, he decided to creep up and check it out. He was certain the noises ahead came from Orcs, luckily the noise concealed his boots against the rock floor. They came to an opening where the laughter and shouting was coming from, Skjorn peaked around the corner and saw the Orc who he had fought and General Bloodkin, fighting for the amusement of the other Orcs! He watched closely as he motioned for Havgre and Eimin to take a look.
