"Why are you like this, Mika? I thought you would be a bit down at least."
"Yes, I don't mean to be rude Ms. Mika but to me it sounds like you're making light of Ms. Ayaka and Eiko's deaths." 'Not that you're the only one,' he thought to himself. Ayaka's execution seemed to have no effect on her whatsoever. No tears, no surprise, just her usual irritating self. Ryoka couldn't stand people like that, and he would be sure to make that clear with her when the time came.
"......"
"Sad?"
"No, there's no need to feel sad."
"I respect...and cherish life more than anyone do..."
"But...being sad is not the way...I want to cherish them..."
"It's not the way we should cherish them......"
"How about from now on we...remember them...and remember to be...happy?"
Mika mumbled to herself and didn't seem to direct her words to anyone, her voice was barely audible.
She turned to the two who were commenting on her strange behavior and only gave them a smile before she continued to lead the group to the new area.
The refreshing air greeted everyone as they stepped across the gate and maneuvered past a bridge, the petrichor and the subtle scent of fresh bodies of water blended together to create an invigorating aroma of nature.
You could see large interconnecting streams of rivers and some lakes all around the lush area that was covered with trees and all sorts of greenery that makes you hard to believe that all of these was very likely a man-made landscape.
Occasionally you could spot a few peculiar yet magical looking plants hidden around the forest, giving the forest a unique and whimsical touch, like an enchanted forest drew out straight from a storybook.
There were also some wild animal like squirrels and butterflies darting around the forest here and there, and some songbirds sitting on trees while chirping mellifluously. But upon closer inspection, you could tell from their consistent, unnatural behavior that they could just be unbelievably realistic robots made to solely to decorate the forest.
Among the group of trees, you could spot a few interesting groups of tree house sitting on top of some of the largest and tallest trees around, forming a huge community of treehouses, just like a treetop village.
There are also a lot of medieval architecture inspired buildings around the area that are well hidden among the miniature forest.
"The fresh air and the flowers, they are just perfect, aren't they?" Mika took in a long and deep breath as she turned around to take in the beautiful and lush greenery around her.
Mika was able to maneuver around the area pretty easily and seemed to have a clear direction on where to go, she eventually led everyone to a giant lake surrounding a huge tree that was casting a mosaic pattern of sunlight that shattered all over the mirror-like surface of the lake, while the lake simmered as it waved gently in the invigorating breeze.
"Over here, everyone!"
Mika approached the lake and walked over to a huge chest seemingly placed there before hand.
"Hee... he...hee..."
Mika chuckled in a comical way as her eye scanned the students up and down.
"Is everyone ready?"
In the blink of an eye, Mika flung opened the chest and tossed out swimsuits in the air before taking off her clothes swiftly like an adept magician flinging her cape, revealing a lime green bikini with flowery pattern, transformed into a tropical look in the matter of a second.
"Is everyone ready to...get wet......?"
She stood before the crowd confidently and struck a post.
.......
The group stood there and stared awkwardly, the swimsuits in the chest are now scattered all over the ground like Mika's dignity.
Mika stood there like a statue, petrified, her cheeks turning red in shame.
Yume blushed and clasped her hand together as she turned her eyes around awkwardly.
Mari stared at Mika, with her eyes widened.
Hisoka looked away and chuckled, trying to muffle his laughter with his hand.
Kasumi turned his back on Mika, cringing in discomfort.
No one was sure how to react to the sudden dramatic sequence she initiated, and the group was now stuck in an extremely awkward situation.
"Get wet? Meh. You can't think of something more appropriate?" Hitsuji commented and took a sip of his juice.
"M-Mika, w-what are you doing?" Koba squinted his eyes and shyly looked at the girl as he questioned Mika.
"C-come on, everyone...m-mind to join me? You can change into your swimsuit at the tree house on that giant tree."
Mika stayed petrified with her awkward post as she tried to convince everyone to join her.
"I rarely have the chance to experience 'nature' this way...cause...you know, I don't have the opportunity to leave my bed as much...so I am really looking forward to this one!"
"Hey...I got everyone's size...so you don't have to worry about the swimsuit..."
"I even got some swimming rings in the chest...for those of you who might need it......"
