By then, Delilah had released his hand from her grasp. Her downcast eyes lifted up to his as he asked her the question and she was silent for a few seconds as if trying to remember. "...It rests on my family name and has been untouched for the past two decades..." Through the darkness in her mind that was still wavering, she saw something spark in his eyes, "do you have something in mind?"

Alfons chuckled, sitting back into his seat. "You know, there's a saying: There's a silver lining in every cloud. It's given me a idea, my- you know." He paused for a second. What was he about to say right then? Shaking it the odd feeling off, Alfons quickly continued, "Why not solve your family's debt, by inflicting it on our enemies? I have just the spell," he said, giving her a wicked grin that he only showed on a rare occasion.

"It a little bit of a sad story but it starts when I was a kid. One day when I was getting out of school I was grabbed and taken to a black van... I was kidnapped." Rex said grabbing his cup a little tighter. "But it wasn't for a ransom. My father apparently was a "slave" who was able to escape so they wanted me to be a slave in his place. They planed to brand me and send me somewhere a week later." Rex said looking down at his soda remembering that week. "But I was in luck. My parents were able to hire a P.I. who found me before they were able to branded me. I saw the man as a hero and well it influenced my job choice you can say" Rex said now smiling and taking a big drink of his soda.

Delilah had noticed his little slip in his words, and for a second she pondered what he was going to say. My... Second? ... My friend? My Ally? My...Deli-... No, he wouldnt say something like that.. she couldnt stop her lips from twitching up. ...why.. Maybe i'm just happy that he has a possible solution for my problem.. Pushing out the thoughts, she focused on him again and just seeing him grin made her want to smile and made her heart beat just a little faster. I'm just excited.. "Please, tell me all about it, Al," she said, feeling her mind clear a bit.

"Well, we'll have to finish our scrying, but then I'd like to manipulate the stocks and bonds that are available in this city to push your debt onto another. We can use our power to do this. And I'll need your family's name. I hadn't thought of this before, so thank for the inspiration." Alfons looked up at Delilah, a small smirk on his lips. "Then you'll be free to take your's family's name again." Even though it should have been a good thing for her, it felt like something hard was pressing against his torso. If she could go back, she wouldn't abandon him... right?

@Dominaiscna

Christine listened closely, thinking the whole thing was pretty much a fair trade.... If you buy someone shouldn't they in the end be yours no matter what? She smiled kindly, "Well it ended well after all, so it's sorta a cute story..." she says before reaching over the table and patting his head..

It took a while for the idea to properly settle in her mind. She'd be free....finally... Before she knew what was doing, Delilah had bent down and her arms wrapped around his neck. Her face was gently pressed into his right shoulder as she hugged him tightly. "Alfons... If you could do such a thing for me... There is no way for me to show you how grateful i'd be..." She murmured into the fabric of his shirt, too filled with happiness to realize what she was doing, "thank you thank you!" When she looked up, however, she noticed something almost sad in his eyes, something deep down and barely noticeable, that troubled her.

"Alfons.. Is something the matter?"

He blinked in his shock when Delilah hugged him. Alfons didn't know she'd be this happy. He hadn't noticed, but a faint pink rose to his pale cheeks. When she looked up at him with those golden orbs, worry evident, he simply smiled. "Nothing is the matter, Del. Don't worry."

@Dominaiscna

@NekoQueen49

Her orbs reflected back confusion and concern as she searched his eyes again and again, her head lifting up slightly from his shoulder, "are you sure, Al? You know you can tell me anything..." She said in almost a whisper. His words said he was fine, but his eyes.. His eyes told a whole nother story. What seemed to clench at his soul so much that he'd look like that?

"Al?" She repeated his name, studying him.

"My story ended ok but the people I'm looking for may not end the same" Rex still smiling but alittle sadden. "But that enough of that. Did you inherit your business or start them from scratch?" Rex asked.

Alfons could have laughed. How did she always do that? How did she always know how he felt? But he didn't want to admit to his concern of her leaving him. Delilah was a good second. Alfons couldn't afford to lose her good insights and... For some reason, whenever he thought about it, his chest would twist. "Just... stay. I need you as my second. So... Don't leave."

Delilah had not even considered the thought of leaving her post as his Second and the realisation at the source of his concern was like a splash of ice water to her face. For one second, she wanted to laugh at the how he would think she'd leave him..but then she really considered it. She'd have to reclaim her name and build her family again... That meant leaving him... My family waited 20 years already, another few years wouldn't make much of a difference... Besides... My duty is here, with Alfons... Her gaze seemed to change slightly, softer almost, as she looked at him here...here is my home... Hexlair... But deep down, the only place she felt at home was right there beside him.

"I won't, i promise... Al" She murmured, burying her face into his shirt as she pulled him in for a second.

Again, Alfons was surprised when she continued to hug him and even more so when she buried her face in his chest, tugging on his shirt. He awkwardly patted her head, not knowing what else to do. But inside, he was satisfied with her response. "Good," he murmured. So long as Delilah remained by his side... Alfons didn't know how to complete that thought. As long as she was by his side... What? Alfons slightly shook his head. He would think more on it later.

"We still need to finish the spell," he reminded, trying to bring them both back to reality. Mostly himself, since his head was starting to grow fuzzy again as those unknown feelings came back.

His gentle hand on her head made her want to sink into his warm embrace more... For These precious seconds felt so safe, so secure and just so... Right... That was until his words made her realize what she was doing... Almost as if she had been shocked, she quickly pulled back with her hands clenched to her chest. How could she let herself do something like that... And it was so clear he didn't like it...though when her gaze met his, she doubted it...

"Yes... Of course... Um.. Sorry about that..." Her words were in a jumble, so unlike herself and she couldn't understand why... But she didn't question it... Just pushed it out of her mind.

@NekoQueen49

"You please... Considering how important the speaking of the enchantment is..." She said with a light-hearted tone to try and ease the tension that had fallen over them. What was she thinking... Imposing herself on him like that.. Her hand gripped her arms in frustration at her incompetence yet for some reason, she just couldnt stop the happy feeling in her chest...

Alfons nodded, not noticing her distress. All he needed to do was to focus on the spell and not on her and then he could just keep doing what he was meaning to do. "Alright," Alfons agreed easily and began chanting the spell illustrated in the book in a deeper tone than usual. Slowly, the opaque ball grew clearer and clearer with each word. Soon, it was see through and reflected the deep reddish brown mahogany of Alfons' desk. "Which do we want to see first?" He asked, turning to Delilah.

She seemed to ponder his questiono for a second, eyes trained on the opaque ball on the table. "...perhaps Bolviar? They are currently probebly our biggest and most dangerous enemy..." She sifted through her mind, tryingto remember some members and only an image of the leadercame to mind.

@NekoQueen49

"Look... And focus on the person... " she appraoched the ball from around the other side of the table, opposite Alfons, gently placing her hands on either side of the ball so that she could support herself. For a split second, if people were paying attention, they would've seen an image of Alfons in his chair before that dissolved away to reveal a bustling diner. The femald leader seemed to be having dinner with a rather interesting companion. "Rex... Hmm... What would he being doing with the leader of Bolviar?"

"Damn."

She sifted, her slender female body changing to a large, powerful Tiger.

Sliding out from behind the dumpster she growls a warning. (Doesn't want to fight and doesn't want to die either).

Luckily her long fur hid her collar. She didn't want to go back.

"A homicidal maniac. Great." Oz muttered under his breath before bit in the hem of his glove and sliding it off his hand, as his magic began gain shape and form. He extended his arm towards the male, a rune circle identical to the one carved in his skin appearing just beneath his feet, glowing intensely, as to which his irises harmoniously accompanied. "Oh, whoever you are, hiding behind the dumpster...? I'd prefer no casualties or witnesses!" Did she really think he had not seen her? And before she could muster a response, Oz chanted his incantation, summoning a shadow familiar once more that immediately attacked Julian.

sorry for the delay.

Julian Weigl

Weigl looked at the tiger before dodging the shadow familiar's attack.Weigl's arm started to glow a dark color and a katana appeared in his hand,This katana was also dark like the rock that triggered the fight.Weigl also made a dagger appear in his hand,This was also the same color,Weigl threw the dagger at the tiger and attempted to put his katana through the familiar's stomach

...Well, better a shapeshifter than a regular human. It would not require a spell to erase the incident and they could just go on with their lives after all this. What did she hoped to accomplish, he wondered...why wouldn't she just walk away? Was she just stupid or did she have an ulterior motive? Oz had no intention of killing this guy or her for that matter, he had enough trouble as a member of Hexlair as it was, no need to add murder to the list. Plus, he had no idea if the procedures he hdid on television when it came to get rid of evidence applied to real life, really. He was very specific as to what kind of things he was willing to do when he met Alfons. This was one of them. He had both a career and his own ideals to maintain! The familiar's inhuman shriek drove him to focus on the battle. He scowled as the creature tried its hardest not to dissolve once again, much to his relief. It instead wrapped itself around Weigl's arms, legs, forcing a excruciating pain to crawl in his skin. "Ohhh, weapons, eh? I'm game." Confident and playeful as ever, the warlock summoned a bladed staff, grinning deviously before leaping, his weapon at the homicidal stranger's mercy.

oh yeah, I changed my character's appearance, hope that's okay

"Rex?" Alfons questioned. He hadn't heard of the name before. "Who is he?" If he was with the leader of Bolvair, then he must surely be important. But then, Christine did have a very... spontaneous personality, so maybe not. But then, if Delilah knew of his name, then that was a sure indicator of his importance.
