Just as Neon said that Rain left his room and looked at Evan "Oh hey, Evan" he looked around at the mess that he hadn't noticed before and grumbled "Did he do all this as well ?"

"It was some guy, he was a southern man. Drunkard, very eccentric, kinda had no boundaries of personal space. Is that the guy?"

 

[The Jackal]

Rain sighed "Yeah that was him.... Anyway he's dead" he leaned on the wall and whispered something under his breathe before heading to the Cutthroat.

Neon followed Rain. "Mind if I tag along?" She asked with a smile. "Besides, this day shouldn't end bad, so lets just hang out without the annoying fucks around."

Rain turned around and kept walking backwards "Yeah, why not" he smiled and then turned around and kept walking.

"Thanks..." She added awkwardly. She followed close behind and sped up her pace to walk next to Rain.

Rain stayed quiet until they reached the Cutthroat, mainly because the day had gone to shit but also because it felt weird to be walking with Neon like a normal person without her getting angry.

"Hey, I haven't yelled at you all day." She chuckled. She noticed he was agitated, she was, too but didn't show it much. She just wanted to have a good day for once and it all went to shit, so she didn't want to end it in anger.

Rain looked up and chuckled as well "You've broken a record" he replied jokingly while climbing up to the cockpit of the Cutthroat and then helping Neon up.

"Heh, I wouldn't get used to it if I were you...after all it's back to stressful work tomorrow." She rolled her eyes but then snapped back into the present.

Rain nodded and opened the cockpit for Neon "Aww" he smiled and then hopped into the pilot seat after her.

She rolled her eyes again. She couldn't wait to see the stars. Sometimes she felt looking up at the stars was the only spark of hope she had left for the world. If there was one hobby she had, besides leading a gang of course, it was stargazing.

Once Rain had finished his quick check he took off slowly into the night sky "Fast or slow ?" he smirked as the thrusters started up.

"Hm...surprise me!" She smirked. This was actually a lot of fun for her.

"Okay" He was going to enjoy this, he began pushing a lever forward which sent the Cutthroat into full speed, launching it forward at incredible speeds.

"Cool..." She smiled looking out the windows. "Keep us on Earth!" She said jokingly.

"Nope you said surprise" he yelled over the roaring engine as he pulled up and headed straight up "You can show me the constellations from up there" he smiled and a loud thud was heard as they exited the atmosphere.

"That....that's not exactly what stargazing is...usually you're on the ground....but whatever I can try to find them here." She smiled trying to stay optimistic.

Rain smiled "Okay, hold on a sec" he began powering down the engine and turned on the auto-hover he smiled and looked up out the window.

"Right..." She found Orion quickly and pointed at the constellation. "That one's Orion!" She continued to to find and point out constellations for a good ten minutes until she paused. "You having fun or no?" She looked at Rain curiously.

Rain frowned "Yeah, what makes you say that ?" he wasn't lying he rarely exited the atmosphere and had forgotten what it looked like from up here.

"Just asking. A lot of people don't really care for stars so...it was just a question." She leaned back in her seat and looked back at the stars.

"Oh..... I haven't been up here for ages so this is great" he smiled at her before tapping another few buttons to restabilize the ship.

"I can't say that I've ever been here before now." While it was true, she said it kinda awkwardly not exactly sure how to respond to what he said.

Rain smiled "You... you wanna head back down ?" he looked over his shoulder at her, he didn't have much else to say so this was the best he could do.
