Fantasy Cursed Island

Shuffle wasn’t actually prepared for that particular type of pain. She made a lot more noise than Corona did, some time even hissing without really meaning to. She sat still and pulled through anyway.

"I'm sorry," Veo grimaced and tried not to really hurt Shuffle, eventually getting her hair untangled with a small pile of what came off on the brush sitting next to them. Now straightened, Veo started braiding Shuffle's hair, "You're going to have to brush your hair every night if you don't want knots," she noted, "I'll let you borrow my hairbrush if you need." Hopefully Nyah could summon some hairbrushes, because with nineteen women with long hair in the party and only one, maybe two hairbrushes if someone else had one, there was definitely a line.

"It's like Fia's feathers," Nyah explained, "If you don't brush your hair, it gets knotted up and hard to wash."

"And it's usually more comfortable to have it properly brushed," Veo added as she started braiding Shuffle's hair into pigtails.

“Ah, Nyah, can you help me with that like Fia and her feathers? Or remind me to do it, at least.”

"Of course," Nyah nodded, "I'm taking care of both of you."

"Aaaand, there!" Veo smiled and let go of Shuffle's hair, "Fia, you're next."

Shuffle smiled and fished up her mirror, taking a look at herself. “Wooaahh....” She turned her head about with a wide smile. “I look so different now!”

Fia nodded as she sat still. Her hair was better than Shuffle’s, but only because rebirth had reset it and gotten rid of the knots then.

Fia's rebirth might have undone the major knots, but it had still been almost a month since her last rebirth, so it wasn't exactly a painless picnic to brush straight either, but doable. "Do you know how you'd like your hair done?", Veo asked.

Veo smiled and started partitioning hair for an idea she had, "I think you might like this then." She ended up dividing Fia's hair into three sections, braiding each of those sections individually and then braiding them together.

Fia smiled as she stayed still. “Oh, and you do look good like that, Shuffle.”

Shuffle smiled over at her. “Thanks.”

"Very cute," Nyah smiled, "You too, Fia." The result of Fia's braid was coming out, tree becoming one on the back of her head in a shorter but thicker braid.

"Well," Veo smiled, "I'm just about done." A few moments later, and Veo held up the mirror for Fia.

Fia smiled as she looked herself over as best she could in the mirror. “Ohhh, it looks great! Thank you!” She jumped up to give Veo a hug, which prompted Shuffle to join in and hug her as well.

“Thank you!”

"Ah-rgh! Can't breathe!", Veo squirmed and tried to free herself from the two as the two little ones took the minotaur to the ground. "Get off!"

"Shuffle, you're strangling her," Nyah warned, getting down to try and help free Veo.

Shuffle blinked before letting go and leaning back a bit. “Oops. Sorry!”

Fia likewise released whatever grip she had.

While Veo gasped for air, Nyah smiled and offered the two little ones dinner, as Adran was heading over to the table to start summoning food and ringing the dinner bell.

Shuffle and Fia nodded and hopped off of Veo to go get some food.

Emil had been watching nearby and walked over to help the minotaur up with a smile.

"Dinner's ready!", Adran called as Shuffle and Fia, accompanied by Nyah, got to the table.

"They get excited, don't they?", Veo smiled and then winced as she tried to sit up, "I think I pulled something."

Fia and Shuffle happily dug into the food as they got there.

Emil nodded. "They do. Would you care for a massage?"

Adran loaded a plate to take to Erina as some of the other group members arrived at the table to sit down and eat, joining Shuffle and Fia in the meal. "You hungry?", he asked the arachne as he approached with the plate.

Veo smiled, "That would be nice."

Erina glanced over from her work. "Ah, yes, thank you. I hope no one minds if I keep working while I eat."

Emil dipped his head. "Just tell me where you need it."

"I don't think so," Adran smiled and set the plate down on an empty flat space near Erina, "As long as you don't get sauce in the threads." He winked at her, "Don't work too hard, okay?"

"Thank you," Veo glanced around and offered the maybe they should do this somewhere else besides on the ground in the middle of a high-traffic area of the camp.

"I know. I'm just so close to finishing." Erina took a bite of food before getting back to work.

Emil agreed before helping her to her feet to find a better spot.
