Fantasy Cursed Island

"Hrk." Erina lifted her head at that, looking over to see what had her. "...Adran, your cat."

Shuffle flicked her ears and nodded, heading over to the nearest unoccupied table.

"Hmm," Adran nodded, "Beri, let her go."

"Then both of you, wake up," Beri growled, "You are needed outside."

Once Shuffle had a table, Nyah floated over, calling Fia as well, and Lyak if she would listen. The goblin didn't. Sighing, Nyah conjured a breakfast meal for the two, lacking juice but including tea in its stead.

Erina sighed, staying where she was a for a moment. "I cannot get up without all my legs to stand on."

Shuffle and Fia sat down to eat. Niudisa fluttered down near Shuffle's waist with her lens.

Beri scowled but let go of Erina's leg, stepping back so the spider could get out of bed.

Erina groaned again before she started getting up. She righted her upper half first and stretched before properly standing and stepping off the bed. "What is it we're needed for, exactly?"

"Fia has completely destroyed her bindings, she needs something to suffice to that end. Lyak is tangled in your web and cannot get down," Beri looked at Adran as he sat up and stretched on the bed, "And you are the only one capable of providing uncorrupted food for twenty two people."

"Ah, very well. I'll get Lyak down and then work on Fia's clothes." Erina headed on out of the tent, back towards the tree she'd been webbing up.

Like Beri said, Lyak had somehow gotten wrapped up in Erina's web. She'd probably rollled over in her sleep and gotten tangled before she woke up, because the result sure wasn't nearly as graceful as Erina's restraints for Shuffle the night before, and Lyak had been spending enough time trying to imitate Erina that if she wanted to wrap herself up she probably would have accomplished somthing more elegant than what she wound up in. It definitely didn't seem comfortable at all.

"Alright, who hasn't eaten yet?", Adran asked when he came out of the tent, "I've got full mana, so I can feed everyone."

"Oh, dear." Erina climbed up the tree and got to work freeing Lyak, cutting threads to unwrap them and making sure she was supported before undoing anything that was supporting her weight.

Niudisa glanced over at Adran. "Shuffle and Fia are the only ones who've eaten so far."

Lyak wiggled out of the loosened threading once Erina had freed her, grabbing hold of Erina like her life depended on it, even though they were only ten feet up. However high up they actually were, though, didn't matter, because the tree started shaking and... laughing? There was a loud POP! before Erina and Lyak fell, and in the trees place Nalla was rolling around on the floor laughing. "That tickles!"

"Of course", Adran cracked his knuckles and cleaned off a table of the broken and empty bottles from last night, and summoned breakfast, complete with no shortage of hangover cures he'd learned over the years. None of them were immediately effective, but sometimes they helped recover quickly. "Anyone seen Emil or Asta?" He'd been drinking with Asta last night and had to make sure he didn't kill the chimera doing that, and teach him to turn off the collar, and Emil he hadn't seen since before that.

Erina glanced around before the support under her vanished. Thankfully, she knew how to land, stepping back a bit and making sure Lyak was fine before looking at Nalla in confusion.

Niudisa shook her head, but Fia spoke up. “Emil headed towards the pools, and so did Veo. I haven’t seen Asta or Jerry yet.”

Nalla did not get control over herself for some time, during which time Lyak joined Erina in her looks of confusion. "What..."

Well as long as their corpses haven't been found. "Who wants to go wake them up?" Jerry tended to sleep until early afternoon most times when she had the chance, but Adran needed to impress on her the rules of engagment as far as going through other peoples' stuff. She was lucky he didn't have something guarding his bag, or she might not be there anymore.

Erina eventually spoke up. “Was that you this entire time?”

Shuffle had finished eating, so she raised her hand. “I can!”

"The entire... what?", Nalla wiped a tear off her face just before a cloud of Erina's silk finally succumbed to gravity and fell like a fog on top of the goliath. "Well, then."

"No," Joanne put a hand on Shuffle's shoulder to keep her in her chair, "Jerry may not be very keen on being woken by you."

“Were you drinking last night as well?”

“But I apologized. And I’ll be nice. I won’t jump or shout or anything!” Now she just wanted to prove she could handle such a task.

"If you could call it that," Nalla chuckled. The webbing around the goliath glowed and then went up in smoke, a mote of flame around the head of her staff as Nall stood and stretched. "It was hardly a nip, really."

"Goliath ale is way stronger than anything we'd normally drink," Adran called, "Two mugs in and I wake up in the middle of nowhere with no pants."

"I understand that," Joanne nodded, "But not everyone is as quick to forgive and forget. Jerry has forgiven but not likely forgotten." She looked around and pointed at Poli, "Mimic, you go."

"I see. I'm not sure what all you were aware of then."

"Mmm..."

Poli looked over from where they'd taken a small part of the food. "Huh? Oh, fine." They swallowed up their piece of food before heading for Jerry and Asta's tent.

Nalla shook her head, "I said it was hardly a nightcap, not that I was not inebriated." She chuckled, tapping her staff on the ground to start a new tree sprouting where she had been standing, "Tell me, what did occur between alcohol being handed out and now?"

----------------------
Inside Jerry and Asta's tent was a disaster and a half. It looked like a hurricane had hit the inside of that tent, there were blankets and pillows everywhere, the bed was cracked in half down the middle, furniture had been knocked over. The room reeked of sweat, alcohol, and some kind of oil. Jerry and Asta themselves were found passed out in the middle of the floor on a pile of blankets, looking very content.

"Quite a bit." Erina settled down to recount the events of the night before. She'd been tipsy, but not so drunk as to not remember anything.

----------

Poli paused just inside the tent before stepping out again, taking a few moments to come to terms with what they'd just seen. They shivered and shook themself off before heading back in to prod Jerry and Asta awake.

Nalla paused to ask questions a few times. Shuffle getting drunk on grape juice was an odd one, but Nalla figured that meant if she got some real alcohol in her system she'd be the life of the party. "How did Beri eat the phoenix?", that one was a new wrinkle even for Nalla, and she'd been down here a while.

-----------------------
Jerry stirred a bit and tried to brush Poli off. Another few prods and she sat up to properly swat the annoyance with an empty bottle. She paused when she recognized Poli. "What..." She blinked her eyes into focus and looked around, not quite remembering how she got on the ground.

A few seconds later and Jerry shot out of the tent barely wrapped in a sheet.

"He was on top of it when it died, got incinerated along with it, and was reborn in it's place. I think everyone is still trying to wrap their heads around that one."

---------

Poli braced for the bottle hit before rolling back as Jerry evacuated. Her quick exit woke Asta and he glanced around before holding his head. "Agh... What hit me...?"

Shuffle watched Jerry speed past. "Jerry's up."

"That is strange," Nalla nodded. She paused at Jerry's quick appearance, "Is the chieftain alright?"

----------------
Once out of the tent, Jerry looked around like a deer in the headlights and bolted for the bathing area. "And Jerry feels dirty," Joanne said with a smirk.

"Was that a joke?", Adran raised an eyebrow.

Erina glanced over. "I'm not sure, but Jerry seems perturbed."

----------

Asta got his lower half wrapped up before stepping out of the tent, looking for where Jerry had gone. Poli crawled out past his feet, heading back to the group. The mimic crawled up onto the table to look at Joanne. "You owe me for what I had to see in there."

Nalla sighed, "This tribe has strange dynamics," She went over to the table to eat.

--------------------

"We will discuss that at a later time," Joanne shook her head.

"Hey, big cat," Adran pointed at his neck, "Voicebox, there's a clip. Turn it until you hear a click."

Erina nodded and got up to follow. She chose to grab something to eat and take it with her to her loom. She still had a lot of work to do.

----------

Poli just gave a nod and settled on the corner of the table.

Asta looked at Adran before glancing down as he felt the collar. Finding the clip, he turned it as instructed.
