Fantasy Cursed Island

"Good," Adran nodded, "If you promise to behave I'll feed you."

----------
While Jerra and Asta were in their tent trying to skip the night by getting blackout drunk, outside the tent Joanne had resumed her patrol of trying to control the tipsy party members still walking around. Corona was pretty much immobile, Emfa was practically in a coma.

Lyak was circling Erina's tree confused as to what Erina was doing.

Shuffle nodded excitedly, bouncing around from her thread. “I promise! I promise!”

—————

Niudisa had gone back to mixing random things together, mostly just plants she’d plucked from nearby.

Poli had finally had enough and melted off of Jerry inside her tent.

Raine was sitting alone, facing a corner.

"Good," Adran looked up at Erina, "Can I let her down to eat?"

------------
Jerry had neglected to retrieve her undergarments in her huff when she'd left the pools. And with as much alcohol as was going through her at the moment, Jerry didn't even realize Poli had vacated the premises initially until she felt a breeze. By now, she was drunk enough to have trouble with coordination, though, and trying to do too many things at once by covering herself with her wings, jerking the tent flap shut, and complaining at Poli, who had already left, resulted in Jerry falling flat with the drop of the tent flap.

Erina paused for a moment before going to the branch from which Shuffle was hanging. She adjusted the thread, lowering the bundle down to where Adran could reach. "There. you may feed her."

----------

Asta looked over as Jerry fell over, attempting to stand. "Jerry, you've fallen." He found his balance was all but gone, so he opted to walk on all fours instead as he went to check on her.

Adran blinked, that wasn't quite what he had in mind, but it worked. "Thank you," he smiled at her and then went to get something to summon the food on so he could feed Shuffle.

-------------

Jerry was trying to get back to her feet, but couldn't seem to coordinate any of her limbs to do anything other than roll over at the moment, so that was what she did. "Am I walking yet?"

Shuffle started singing while Adran stepped away. No words, just imitating the sound of something she'd heard Fia whistling once, though her tone was off.

----------

"You're very close. You can at least move across the floor."

Adran came back with a small table, and summoned a meal for one to feed Shuffle. "Open up."

---------------
Jerry found that funny for some reason, laughing as she extended a hand to be helped up, "Help me."

Shuffle happily opened her mouth wide, showing off her teeth.

----------

Asta smiled at her laughing and took her hand to try and pull her up. Though considering his upright balance wasn't any better than hers, that probably wouldn't work.

"Good girl," Carefully Adran spooned food into Shuffle's mouth, making sure not to feed her too much so she wouldn't puke it back up at him.

-------------
It did not work out as intended at all. Instead the two ended up rocking into switching places, with Asta on his back and Jerry over the top of him. "That didn't work at all."

Shuffle happily ate her food. If she hadn't been carefree before, she certainly was now. She seemed perfectly content with her situation.

----------

Asta blinked as he looked up at Jerry. "Indeed it did not. ...But I can't say I'd complain."

Lyak finally found a way up and scrambled up the tree to join Erina, sticking close to the spider she trusted, even if she was drunk at the moment.
--------------
"Mmm, I can't either," Jerry commented, "You're warm." She laid down on Asta's chest, getting comfortable.

Erina smiled at Lyak as she climbed up. "Hello, dear. Would you like to be bundled as well?"

----------

Asta hesitated before awkwardly putting his arms around her. It was a foreign gesture to him. He also made a note to thank Adran later.

Lyak shook her head, floppy ears swinging as she did so. "No."

----------------
Jerry smiled at the embrace, then after a moment said, "The ground's hard."

"Aww... Oh well. Let me know if you change your mind~ Shuffle sure enjoys it." Erina giggled and continued weaving her webs.

----------

Asta nodded. "It is. But I would gladly cushion you from it."

"Shuffle's acting weird," Lyak shook her head again. She tried to crawl up onto Erina's abdomen again, so she could stick close.

------------------

Jerry giggled, "Your muscles are hard too..." She tapped Asta's shoulder to punctuate that Asta was built like a brick block. "Come on," she reached up and grabbed the bedpost for support to get up off the ground and onto the mattress.

Erina didn't stop Lyak from climbing on, just kept on working. "Shuffle's had a little too much drink. As have I, I think." She giggled again.

----------

Asta watched her climb off of him before rolling over to crawl up after her to the bed.

Lyak nodded, "Don't you think you should stop, then?" She looked around at the party, it was an odd view from above, "You're high up, what if you fall?"

"Even like this I would be hard pressed to fall out of a tree. And you don't see a bottle in my hand, do you? I've stopped for the night."

"But you're..." Lyak frowned, trying to think of a word, "All creepy-smiley."

------------
Down on the edge of the pools, the phoenix was watching what had transpired with great interest. The party was almost entirely drunk. The only ones that had been able to deal a fatal blow in his full power were incapacitated by alcohol or engaged in a soundproof tent. There would not be a better time for it to escape, it just had to pick out the right opportunity to incinerate the chalk and dive into the pools.

Lyak shrank back at the smile, scooting a bit further back. "Raka got like that when he was drunk...", she whispered, huddling up.

Erina paused for a moment before her smile faded. "Oh? Well, I'll make one thing clear. I don't hurt those I care about, and I do care about you."

Lyak nodded, but she didn't seem wholly convinced.

----------------

As Joanne passed on her patrol and Fia was nearby, the phoenix took his chance, beginning a slow burn. he only had to damage one rune to break the barrier, so he focused his efforts on a specific room. After a bit, Adran's chalk changed color and turned to smoke, and a fire ball exploded out and washed over Fia as the hatchling got free. The phoenix cawed mockingly before it dove into the pools.

Fia raised a wing to shield herself as she flinched from the sudden flames. She looked towards the source before taking flight. "We've got trouble!"

Most of the group didn't hear Fia, being either passed out or so drunk their focus was entirely on the conversation at hand, or unable to move. Joanne rushed over grabbing her sword and shield, bonking heads as she went to get the attention of those on the ground. Beri wasted no time, up until he realized the thing was in the water.
