Fantasy Cursed Island

Emil glanced over and nodded. "Something happened..." He headed over to their tent to check on Veo.

While Adran went around to go do the thing requested so the party could actually start, inside the tent Veo grabbed Emil and pulled him close once he appeared. After a moment she whispered something to the effect of 'pervert spider and her pervert elf'.

Emil blinked as he was grabbed and...confided in? He glanced at Veo. "I...what?"

Meanwhile, Erina stepped out of her own tent, heading to her loom to get to work.

Veo took a breath and separated from Emil, sitting down on the bed and relaying that Adran had been sneaking peeks at her, and when she told Erina the spider had defended the elf's actions, and was just shy of flirting with her!

"Erina, where's your talisman?", Adran asked when he saw Erina.

Emil blinked again. "...oh. I guess Adran was wrong guessing how she'd react..." He rubbed the back of his neck.

Erina looked over at Adran. "I have it on me. And it's good you're here. We need to talk."

"What do you mean?", now Veo was confused.

"Oh, yeah?", Adran raised an eyebrow, "Something happen?"

"Earlier at the spring, I warned Adran to consider what Erina would think if she knew he was sneaking looks at you, after I warned him myself. He figured she'd scold him, at best."

Erina nodded. "Yes. Twice. Veo complained to me about you sneaking peeks at her."

Veo groaned and put her head in her hands. "Gods-dammit."

"Oh, that." Adran shook his head, "in the springs, I was looking around to see if it was clear for the guys to get out of the pool. Veo happened to be a foot away and silent as a corpse until then." He pointed at their tent, "And just now, in our tent, how was I supposed to know there'd be a topless minotaur on our bed?"

Emil walked over and rested a hand on her shoulder. "Do you want me to talk to them about it?"

"Hm... Very well. If you were only looking, I can't complain. However, that chain of events led to me complimenting her figure and I believe she took it the wrong way and may start avoiding me now. I do not want to have the same kind of reputation you do."

Veo shook her head, "No, yes, I don't know!" Emil wound up in another tight hug.

Adran shrugged, "Hey, I've got my reputation because I'm not shy about it. I work with demons from the second circle, it's part of my existence at this point. You've done one thing, and made out with your reflection." It was unlikely that Erina's reputation would come to match Adran's.

Emil wheezed a bit from the sudden squeeze before putting his arms around her.

Erina paused. "Ah, I'd forgotten I could do that." She shook her head. "But that's how a reputation starts. I want to be known as the seamstress that people can come to with their problems, not the perverted spider."

"There's nothing wrong with being both," Adran shrugged again, "I'm both, with a different role."

“I guess... But I feel like people would be less willing to share their problems with the perverted spider.”

Erina blinked. “...hm. Oh, but that would mean keeping my compliments to myself, wouldn’t it?”

Adran shook his head, "Use tact. Don't say 'You have a nice body', say 'You're looking pretty', for example." He glanced around, "I've gotta put these talismans up or Joanne's not gonna let me bring out the booze, so can we continue this later?"

“Ah, that’s why you asked.” Erina dug her talisman from her cleavage and handed it over. “Here. I’ll keep your advice in mind.”

"Thanks," Adran nodded and went on his way, after a while coming back and offering Erina a bottle. "Barrier's up, party starts."

Erina had started back to her work by the time he returned. She stopped and looked at the bottle as she took it. “Is this the same kind as last time?”

Erina smiled back at him. “Well, alright then. I’d have to try hard to have another...incident then.”

'Not as hard as you think," Adran chuckled, going off to distribute to anyone who wanted it, except for Shuffle, Fia, and Lyak. Even if one of them was technically an adult he still thought of Fia as a kid.

Fia noticed the exclusion but didn’t mention it. Shuffle, on the other hand, started following Adran around when she realized she wasn’t getting what everyone else was getting.

"What are you after, Shuffle?", Adran asked, depositing a bottle of wine just inside the tent flap for Emil as requested.
