"Well.. Don't we need to find Storm? I kind of forgot about him just to be completely honest." Jewel spoke with a laughing tone and an awkward smile. She just got so caught up with Aero and everything that she eventually forgot about everyone. It was just good to know that Mena was in her room staying away from danger, hopefully. Continuing to walk up a hill that was in their path, over the hill showed a dense and large maze, another part of the ruins she guessed. "That." She pointed to the maze in front of them, "Perhaps he's in there? I saw Storm flying in this direction also.."

"I think it would be a good idea, should I shift to cover more ground?" Aero asked her since he didn't exactly know if it was the best choice. He liked being in human form so he could be closer and more relatable to Jewel but he didn't know if it's what she wanted for the time she had to be free. If I know Storm he wont be in the maze but it would give me more time to be with Jewel He thought to himself while making sure she didn't pick up on that.

Shaking her head with a soft smile, "Mazes are meant for exploring, let's do it together. If he is in this maze, I don't believe being in dragon form would be much help either since he'd be as small as an ant anyways."


Jewel walked to the maze until they were stopped by the entrance, "Left, Center, or Right?" Asking as she took a step into the maze, looking around, and through each passage way but it seemed that they all looked the same to her.

Aero looked into the maze in each direction without using his night vision as not to rush things. "Well, I would say left" Aero said with a strange look to his purple eyes, He knew didn't exactly know the maze but maybe there was something interesting in here. I wonder what's in this maze He thought as he looked around at the area to see what all he could.

"Hm, okay!" Agreeing happily with a nod as she began walking left with Aero right behind her. "Maybe we'll find treasure?" Jewel spoke teasingly, "I don't understand why they built a maze, perhaps to protect something beautiful or important probably. What do you think?" She asked with a carefree smile and she spun around, walking backwards to face Aero.

"It could be anything but I think you should look forward while walking or you might run into something" Aero said as he saw that out ahead was something sort of bush. It would be bad to have her fall and get hurt He thought as he worried about her and looked in her eyes.

Jewel smiled at his worry for her but brushed it off simply due to the fact that falling while walking backwards couldn't hurt her that much even if she did fall. "Don't worry, I'll be o-" The sentence was quickly interrupted by her tripping over a rock that she didn't see. Crap, he called it too.. It was already too late to stop herself from falling, closing her eyes shut and waiting for the impact to hit.

Aero moved quickly as she had already fallen he reached out and grabbed her hand keeping her a short distance from the ground. "Well then, I think it's probably better to listen to the guy with the better ability to see" Aero said with a smirk as he pulled her up so she was standing again this time in front of him. He waited for the retribution she would announce about what he had said.

Feeling her hand get caught before she had hit the ground and get pulled back up, Jewel pouted at his comment. Getting on her tippy toes to be extremely close to his face, kissing length almost, she simply smiled smugly at him. "Stupid." Speaking teasingly as she stuck her tongue out at him with a mischievous expression.

Aero rolled his eyes to the comment "If i'm stupid why didn't I fall down?" He asked her jokingly before kissing her on the cheek. He looked at her and he knew she was happy and still he was expecting her to do something else. His eyes did something for a second before dismissing it and the purple light from his eyes still showing.

Jewel pouted again before turning around, leading the way once more. She saw the way his eyes moved just for the quick second but didn't mention it for it didn't seem to be important at the moment. Walking a bit and making sure not to trip on rocks or anything of the sort, they were at another split in the maze, "Right or Left?" Asking again as she glanced back at Aero with an amused expression, as if she were planning something.

"Whichever way you think is Right" Aero said after seeing she looked sort of odd. His night vision looked down both of the two to check for which had more things on the ground. I wonder what she's going to do since she didn't comment on my statement before and girls won't let me get the last laugh He thought while studying here carefully. Storm seemed to be no where close so he took this as a chance to get closer to Jewel if he could..

Looking down both alleys, Jewel decided on going to the left to get away from the center as possible since they might just end up back at the start again. "Tell me Aero.. How old are you?" The question slipped her mind but it wasn't like it mattered, How does age work with dragons again? I forgot.. "Actually, tell me about yourself.. Tell me why out of all the people you could've chosen.. it was me, a human.." Asking curiously since the question did ponder her mind for a while now.

"Well in dragon age i'm 6 so about 16 or 17'ish in human years, and the reason I chose you because you have something the others don't" Aero said keeping his reasoning a secret for the moment. He looked ahead and saw a rock a short bit down the path, Aero started to whistle a little tune he made up as they walked. I wonder why she's asking me now of all times He wondered confused but he knew she probably had some strange reason.

Kai looked at the castle from afar and glanced at Nayome, he knew he couldn't do anything now since the prince wasn't there, "Nayome, do you know them well? Now I know the castle's location, but the prince isn't there, I think we need to find them and you will help me getting closer to them."

Nayome sighed and removed her claws from the mountain on which she rested, knowing she had no choice in this matter either. "I haven't talked to him Uncle Kai or the other dragon who was with him when they found me in the ruins." She chose not to mention that she had passed out upon being found or that the prince had apparently run off in the night. Spreading her wings, she flapped into the air and headed back to the ruins. @Azula Cross

"So basically you're a 6 year old?" Jewel asked with a lighthearted giggle, she seemed so carefree at the moment like a small child unlike her normal strict guard self. "Aero.." She spoke a little bit more seriously this time, stopping in her tracks as she did so. ".. you're so strange.." Speaking with a light smile as she spun around again looking at him but didn't walk backwards since she learned her lesson last time.

Aero looked at her "In dragon years i'm six, and is it bad that i'm strange?" He asked her as he stopped and looked at her. He felt confused on where all this was coming from but he decided it was just a mood swing or something of hers. I wonder if she's feeling well He wondered as he thought about Jewel for a minute while he wondered about what she was thinking.

Shaking her head at his question, "No, strange isn't a bad thing. I'm strange too. Sorry, I'm being really weird right now. I don't know why, I just feel really happy.." Jewel paused, taking a deep breath and stared at the ring on her finger as she fiddled with it, ".. and that kind of scares me.. being really happy.. that's really scary because it might get taken away in an instant, what if you disappear on me. What if you leave..? What if I wake up and this was all just a dream?" She spoke softer, sadder, whilst still staring at her ring.

"If this is a dream we're having the same one then" Aero said as he noticed she was messing with the ring. He noticed how he was happy to be with her, he didn't want her to be sad and think this was just her mind. He moved towards her and put his hand on hers "I won't leave as long as you want me to be here, by your side. I won't disappear until the thump of my chest decided to cease. I promise that to you" He said making sure she heard his words as they had traveled from his heart to his mouth.

Feeling Aero move closer to her and take her hands, Jewel felt better and at ease again. She quickly glanced up before finally looked up at him, her smile was a thankful one and her eyes showed true happiness. Lifting up one of her hands from his, she lifted her pinkie up, "Promise?" asking as she smiled at him waiting for him to lock his pinkie with hers to signify the promise.

Aero smiled at her way of making a promise but he knew it was what he should do. He locked pinkies with her "Promise" He said knowing that he wanted to keep this promise but you can never tell when you're going to die. His mind flooded with ideas as he wondered what else was on her mind as he thought about somethings involving her while others involved other people.

Their pinkies still locked, she gave a mischievous smirk and said, "and if you break this promise, you have to stick 1000 rusty needles in your eye." Jewel smiled before letting the pinkie go and instead grabbed his hand. This time as she walked, Jewel walked next to him rather than in front of him. "Now tell me, do you really think Storm is in this maze?"

"No, I agreed with your idea because it gains time I get with you" Aero said as he thought about things. Storm would be headed either home or to the person he wants to meet He thought as he looked at Jewel. "Why 1000 needles though?" He asked slightly confused on what she had said before about the needle topic.

Smiling at the way he was thinking about spending time together, she was happy to have snuck out with Mena that one fateful day. Shrugging at his next question, "I don't know, it's just how the promise goes. Or at least that's what my mo- I mean the maids always told me." Jewel brush off her little mistake by making it seem like nothing happened, it was nothing of his concern just yet.
