High School is where we start but the setting will change as we develop. You can if you want to. My character has vampire parents but there's not really a vampire society. Just humans and vampires co-existing with humans being none the wiser. Though vampires do generally form close family ties

I see, but I find it hard to believe that there won't be a society out there solely for vampires. If humans are uppity enough to segregate others then I'm sure there are vampires like that too. Well, we can talk about it at a later date. As for my character, she came from old blood aka rich.

I'm trying to stay away from that. There aren't enough vampires in the world to really form a society. They know each other, they are often friends but are otherwise blending in with humans and quite well.
