The girl blinked. "...Gifts? That's an odd sounding word..." She shrugged and turned around, scanning the area warily. "Something tells me that debris didn't just randomly collapse, so be careful with... whatever you're doing."
Willa scowled. "What we SHOULD be doing is trying to find whatever it is that killed all these people!" The girl sighed. "Listen.. You have a blood parasite, right? Can it help us find the damn thing?"
The girl chuckles and simply holds up a hand, with a rune looking almost like an eye on the back. Scanning the terrain she asks, "Well? Blood parasite? Can it help, or not?"
"Y'know, Apex could help" Percy started "But I'm in no mood to trust you. So I'll just look on my own, without any of you. Bye." And with that, Percy left the mall, pulling himself onto a nearby roof with tendrils of blood.
The girl scowled. "Fine then. I'll look on my own, too." A well-placed kick sends part of the wall crumbling and she steps outside, then begins walking around the city aimlessly. Realizing she was lost, the girl sighed. "Oh well."
Kitt Hawkings leaned against the cracked parapet of a building's roof, looking down at the still, dead quiet city. Narrowing his eyes, he carefully watched the streets around the building, looking for any sign of movement. He wondered if he was the only survivor in the city.
It'd explain not seeing anyone else... anyone else living, that is.
Percy sat down, resting his back against a brick wall, and looked out of the alley he had made his way into. Deciding it was safe, he closed his eyes, settling in for a nap.
Willa kicked some rubble around, hoping to attract the attention of the monster. Still slightly miffed at the fact that the group had all split up, she comforted herself with the fact that they didn't know her name.
Kitt whipped his head around when he heard something. A girl was kicking the rubble in a street near the building he was on. He felt a small flood of relief that he wasn't the only one in the city.
Gracefully shifting into a raven, he glided down to a lamppost nearby.
If she had been paying attention, the girl may have noticed the movement. But, as several as her instructors had said, she had a habit of zoning out. Still kicking rubble, she ignored the raven.
"By the Angel-" Willa jumped back, sending herself a good few feet away. She had never seen a shapeshifter before, though she knew they existed. "Uh- who.. Who are you?"
The girl sheathed her knives, sensing that this boy didn't mean her harm. "I'm Willa," she said, purposely not mentioning her surname. "Why are you here?"
Kitt shrugged, relaxing when the girl sheathed her weapon. "I heard something around here killed the inhabitants of this city... And there's a price on its head... I could do with the money."
