Crime Pays

Senna smiled slightly and nodded. "Lets see how things go over first really... I've heard working in movie theaters can be irritating." She shrugged. "But I'm willing to give it a shot really."

"That's good to hear. Some work is better than none." he said with a small smile. He was starting to like this girl. "Movie theaters can be irritating, but I've got pull with a few places. If you find you don't like it, I could help you find something else. Unless, of course, you want to get into my line of work." he said with a small chuckle.

"Thanks for the offer but I think I'll stick to normal jobs for now." She shook her head with a slight smirk. "My hobby already had me pushing the envelop with some of the highway patrol cards up north." She muttered silently cursing her self for letting her own illegal activity slip.

Aaron raised an eyebrow at that, adjusting the phone a bit. "Oh really? Let's see... If you're pushing your luck with the highway patrol, then that means you're either hijacking trucks or you're a street racer." he said, chuckling a bit. "And judging by your demeanor and insecurity about theft, I'll assume it's the latter. What do you race with?" he asked, smirking a bit.

Senna chuckled. "Just something i do on the side to make some extra money now and then. I have a custom built mustang. Looks old but runs like new." She smirked slightly. "Been doing it since before I got my license so safe to say I'm a not exactly easy to beat."

He smiled a bit at that. "Well, I may need a getaway driver some day. I'll be sure to keep you in mind." he said, thinking for a moment. "Maybe one day we could race. I've been looking for an excuse to dust off my old charger." He chuckled a bit. "It needs a bit of work, sadly. I haven't had a whole lot of time to fix it up. I ended up blowing the old engine running from the cops." he explained with a small shrug. "Stealing I'm good at, mechanic work, not so much."

"Could be fun." She smirked. "I do a lot of my own work now but I have an uncle who fixes all my the big problems. He taught me everything I know. He does work for most of the racers around the city and for a decent price." She offered.

Aaron nodded, thinking. "Might have to talk to him." he said, glancing down at his watch. "Well, I have some things to take care of. Shoot me a text tomorrow and let me know how things are going." he said, finishing his coffee and standing. He put a couple bills on the table and smiled warmly at her. "It's nice to have someone on the inside for once. It'll make my job that much easier."

Senna nodded slightly "I'll be sure to let you know what happens." She returned the small smile. "Well Here's hoping everything goes as planned." She replied getting up as well needing to get started on a few things as well.

Aaron smiled and nodded a bit, giving a small wave as he walked out. Almost as soon as he exited he seemed to vanish, a small group of people providing just enough cover for him to disappear.

The next day he was sitting in his apartment, sheets of paperwork in front of him. Expense reports, daily statements, all documents that he had stolen from the movie theater's trash. It was amazing how nobody ever seemed to shred their important documents... He chuckled a bit to himself, cracking open a beer as he glanced over at his phone. It was a little after noon now, and he wondered when Senna was going to get a hold of him.

Senna watched as Aaron disappeared wondering just how much of what she was told was true. Only time could really tell. The rest of the day came and went and before she knew it Senna was standing in front of the movie theater dressed in semi-professional attire looking her best best for the interview. She knew the job was guaranteed but didn't want to seem that obvious. She sighed softly before entering the movie theater. She went up to customer service and asked for the manager. She waited patiently as the manager was fetched.

Aaron sighed a bit, leaning back on his couch. The theater pulled in nearly a hundred grand every weekend, so the pull for an opening weekend would be even better. He knew they would have a safe, luckily during some of his recon he found where it was, and how old it was. It would be fairly easy to crack. He smiled a bit to himself, knowing this job would be a simple one, but he wouldn't take it lightly. That's how he ended up in prison last time.

With in an hour Senna was able to meet with the manager have a very quick interview consisting mostly of basic questions and given a polo uniform to use for work along with some kind of hand book, which was honestly a joke. The manager seemed fairly unnerved for some reason. Though she guessed it was mostly because of the Intel Aaron had on him. Senna stepped out of the theater and pulled out her phone sending the mysterious man a text message.

Hey. Everything wen't well. Already got the job and everything for it.

Aaron glanced over at his phone, being torn away from the program he was watching on TV. He picked it up and smiled a bit when he read her text.

Good. Go ahead and get through your regular work day, and snag an extra copy of the schedules for this week. If you could take pictures of the motion detectors, that would be perfect, but don't worry about it if you don't get the chance. he wrote back, hitting send.

Senna waited around to see if she would get a reply before going back in. Her phone chimed and she checked the message reading it over. It should't be too hard... she'd just have to be careful how she too her picture.

I'll see what I can do. Text you when I get off work.

She sent the message back before heading back inside the theater and head into the bathroom to change her polo. She went around with one of the other employees for orientation and a small tour of everything she would need to know. She payed more attention to security and procedures more than anything else. She signed in and looked for the scheduled but it was quite a mess of mark ups and changes to be made.

"uh.... cant really..."

"Oh don't worry, a new one will be posted up in a few days. There was a lot of issues with people going on vacation and stuff." the girl shrugged.

"hm I see. Okay then."

Aaron smiled a bit when he read her text, sent her back a simple "Okay.", and settled back in to watch TV. He was starting to like this girl, she seemed to have a cool head on her shoulders, and she took direction well. Depending on the results of this job, he might have to offer her more steady, well-paying work.

Sennas shift went smoothly with most of it being introductions and explanation. She got some work in towards the end but most of it was really easy stuff. She wasn't able to do much in terms of what Aaron asked but it was only her first day. Things would take time. Senna sighed heavily as she clocked out and left the theater heading out to her car. her checked her phone which had been on silent the whole time and saw she got several messages from one of her racer buddies about a race later that night. Something senna wouldn't pass up on after the week she had. She replied with a confirmation and asked for the time and place before texting Aaron

Just clocked out. The current schedule is a mess. New one should be posted in a day or two.

Aaron frowned a bit at that text, but shrugged it off. He could afford to wait, the big night wasn't for another month.

One month later.

---

Aaron was in his apartment, packing up what he needed into a black duffel bag for the night. He had sent Senna a text to meet him outside his apartment building, and she should be showing up at any time. He had been preparing nearly every waking moment for this job, and knew that he was ready. He knew the theater inside and out, and knew that he'd be in and out in less than an hour. He finished up his packing and slung the bag on his back, smirking a bit. This was going to be fun.

Senna pulled up to an apartment building she was addressed to go and glanced over to the front not spotting him yet. She was a little nervous about the job but had for the most part calmed down about stealing from the theater. The manager was a complete jerk and the employees not much better. She kept mostly to her self when it came to working there making the connections she needed to get by with out any trouble. She sighed softly stepping out of her car and decided to wait for him to come down, she was still early.

Aaron made his way down, noticing that her car was just out front. He stepped outside and grinned a bit. "Hey there. Ready to go?" he asked, adjusting the bag on his shoulder. This was the first time she had been to his apartment complex, though he wasn't afraid of her being an undercover officer he was still a bit wary about letting her inside. "Big night tonight. Hopefully it'll net us a lot of cash."

Senna looked up from her phone as Aaron exited and smirked slightly waving. "Hopefully. Last showing just ended an hour ago so we have a bit of time before the closers are long gone."" She replied softly before unlocking the car and getting in. She'd gotten a little more comfortable with being around Aaron and found him interesting but she still couldn't help but feel that there was a lot she didn't know bout him and probably would never know. He didn't exactly seem like the sharing life stories type.

He nodded, climbing into the passenger seat. He set his bag in the backseat and buckled in, smiling a bit. "Well, what about some coffee? I wouldn't mind some caffeine while we watch the theater." he said, settling in. Her car was awfully comfortable. "So." he said, changing subjects. "I'm going to be in and out in hopefully less than an hour. I'll give you a radio so you can keep an eye on things outside for me. If anything goes bad, let me know and get out of there. If I'm going to get arrested, I don't want you anywhere near the theater."

"Coffee sounds great" she agreed before pulling off into the sparce traffic. From the inside of Sennas car it was plain to see how much work she really put into it. For one everything was top of the line. In the darkness of the night the dash and console glowed blue as if it were something out of a sci-fi show. The back seat was a bit cramped for anyone who sat back there but the seats were comfortable and had a slight lean back to them.

Senna was a bit surprised by the instructions but at the same time expected it. There was no sense in both of them getting caught. Plus there was a chance he had a hundred and one escape plans that didn't involve her getting dragged into the mess. She nodded slightly in understanding. "Alright, hopefully there shouldn't be much of an issue. After nights like this most of the employees are dead tired and want nothing to do with the theater. Even the rent-a-cops."

"Hopefully nobody cares enough to come in and check inside the theater. I want you across the street at the shopping center, keeping eyes on the theater itself. That way, if anything happens, you'll be out in traffic and on the road before anyone knows you're there." he said, smiling a bit. He ran his fingers along the car's dash for a moment, chuckling. "Not bad work. You're going to be awfully disappointed when you see my Charger."

Senna nodded slightly "Alright. I know a spot to park that's heavily shaded so no one should even know I'm there." She muttered keeping her eyes on the road. She kept her pace easy not wanting to scare the man or anything. Her usual driving sent most of the people who decided to ride with her into small panic attacks. Plus there wasn't much in terms of traffic so things stayed calm to say the least. She chuckled softly at his comment about the Charger. "It's fine. I know my car isn't your run of the mil model. but that's what I love about him. Earned my self a pretty penny and gotten my self out of a few tight spots , so it's well worth what I put into him." She grinned. "Maybe I can show you what it can really do when we're not on the clock, so to speak."
