Barry takes his job as a speedster and a hero very seriously. Putting his life on the line multiple times for others, Barry is seen as a true hero. But, that doesn't make him a serious one. Whenever he is crime fighting, he uses humour to distract and annoy them. Some people speculate that he does this to keep his attention on him and protect the citizens. But when he was younger, he watched his greatest rival kill his mother. This affected him, making him almost obsessed with him.

Backstory:

Long before he became the Flash, Barry Allen trained as a forensic scientist. His police training means he approaches super-crime as an investigator, not just a fighter, and his scientific approach allows him to come up with new and creative ways to use his speed. However, Barry held an experiment. At this time, a lightning bolt struck him, sending into a bunch of chemicals which gave him his powers (Not Mopey...). He discovered time travel, vibrating through objects, creating whirlwinds, and more in his time as the Flash. Barry is also a lifelong comic book fan, who maintains his collection with the same meticulous care that he uses in the crime lab.

Speed Force Conduit
:

The Speed Force is a vaguely defined extra-dimensional energy force from which most superspeed-powered heroes draw their powers. The Speed Force serves as the ultimate measure of velocity in the DC Universe. They are often referred to in terms of barriers: Sound barrier, Light barrier, Time Barrier, Dimensional Barrier, and finally the Speed Force Barrier. Barry Allen is the very source and creator of the Speed Force,and generates it with every step he takes. For this very reason, he is unaffected if any other speedster tries to steal or drain his speed. Barry has shown that he cannot be stopped by any force if he absorbs the Speed Force. Barry Allen is one of the fastest of the Flashes, and is arguably one of, the fastest beings to have ever existed. He is currently fast enough to easily break all of the barriers and even enter the Speed Force itself, and is one of the few people to have ever escaped from it. He does not often go beyond Mach 10, as speeds above that level are catastrophic to the environment. He has outrun Death in the form of The Black Racer, and can reach any speed he can imagine, and more. Barry Allen is the generator of the Speed Force if Barry ever needs to run faster he can just generate more energy like when he escaped the Negative Speed Force.

Speed Force Conduit


Accelerated Healing


: Speed Force conduits are not invulnerable nor durable enough to sustain damage however if they are harmed they will heal at high speeds. Any normal wear and tear damage to their bodies are almost instantly healed.

Decelerated Aging

: Speed Force conduits have a slowed aging process. This power can be imparted on their most intimate loved ones by extended contact rather than distribution.

Energy Construct Creation

: Speed Force conduits can use the matter generated by their speed to create solid objects such as walls or bridges. This power requires constant concentration and reapplication of the construct for it to remain stable. Flash's after images are also construct creations.

Flight

: Speed Force conduits can rotate their arms and spin their bodies like tops to achieve something of a kind of helicopter flight. However, with practice conduits can even achieve controllable flight if launched at high speeds. Despite their flight abilities they are always faster on their feet.

Increased Perceptions

: Speed Force conduits traveling at the speed of sound may miss important events as they run by. The Speed Force grants them enhanced senses that allow them to see, hear, smell, touch and/or taste at an increased speed and understand it as it is processed.

Infinite Mass Punch

: Speed Force conduits have an increased level of strength added to their bodies which they can impart in different ways. Certain speedsters can strength each and every move they make however this requires attention and stress for each movement and therefore is almost never used. In most cases conduits can focus the Speed Force's extra-dimensional energies into one massive punch; when used in practiced this punch pushed a metahuman from one continent to another.

Phasing

: Speed Force conduits can vibrate their molecules so quickly that they can achieve intangibility for short bursts allowing them to phase through objects.

Self-Sustenance

: Speed Force conduits travel at incredible speeds which cause their bodies to work overtime. In situations where their bodies may be too fast for them to breathe they may impart on the Speed Force for sustenance. However, this almost always results in the conduits having an increased metabolism at all times requiring them to constantly refill their energy supplies.

Sharing the Force

: Speed Force conduits can allow their friends or family members to run along side them at their equaled speeds. Certain conduits who may only have minor access to the Force may achieve full levels of the Force due to the main conduit's association with it.

Speed Force Aura

- People who are propelled by the conduits during high speed situations can survive the harsh conditions associated with mach speeds. When the conduit must rescue an individual from a burning building these individuals will be protected while within the aura.

Speed Force Conduit

: People who, for whatever reason, are connected to the Speed Force are sometimes called Speed Force Conduits. This means that they are connected to the Speed Force and are tethered to it. Some characters may control their Speed Force imparted powers in different ways such as only Superhuman Strength or even directed through Lighting but no matter their adaptions they are still connected to the Force.

Steal Speed

: Speed Force conduits can steal the accelerated motion or momentum from objects or people to reduce their speed or even virtually stop them. Conduits may also steal the speed from other Speedsters or other fast moving people.

Supercharged Brain Activity

: Sometimes neglected by Speedsters who only operate at superhuman speeds and never slow down enough to understand their full potential; Speedsters can access superhuman levels in their brains further than processing information. They can test theories, understand difficult equations and run trial and error in their brains at superhuman speeds. Different conduits access this activity in different ways.

Superhuman Stamina

: Speed Force conduits have to access the Speed Force for a number of different tasks. Most Speedsters use their superhuman speed and react at superhuman speeds; therefore, they must run for extended periods or operate for a large amount of time. Their bodies can handle the stresses of superhuman racing without noticeable distress.

Superhuman Speed

: Speed Force conduits have one main ability above all else. Conduits are connected to the barrier and accumulation of all Speed known in their universe. These characters immediately understand how to run at superhuman speeds and their bodies instinctively understand how to react at high-speed situations. Older speedsters have a reduced but maxed speed of 770mph which is just below sonic booms allowing them to react to situations without causing civilians undo stress. Speedsters in their prime can travel at much faster speeds such as the max level of recorded aided speed on Earth and even reach the speed of light with enough willpower. It is possible for conduits to travel much faster than the speed of light however such levels require an incredible amount of stress. Speedsters unaccustomed to their max level of speeds may detach themselves from the Speed Force or even become part of the Speed Force by accident.

Vortex Creations

: Speed Force conduits that plant themselves on the ground and rotate their extremities can cause an incredible amount of wind to burst through their focused funnel. Most Speedsters use this ability automatically when they run reducing the air currents around their body to low enough levels to no longer inhibit their speed. Creatively, Speedsters can create tornadoes and gusts with their arms.

Personality: An average, everymanboy that has been thrust into a situation that was really, really too much for him. His approach as Prime is very "might makes right" and he occasionally flies into situations without really thinking about it.


Backstory:






Early Life


Kevin Green was born, a seemingly normal baby boy. Dr. Vincent Gross told them to come back for frequent check-ups, and he also instructed Russell that he must never let another doctor examine Kevin, because some of the techniques he had used were not legal. After a Senator threatened an investigation on Gross, he was forced to destroy many of his records, and he lost touch with those he had mutated.


Kevin grew up a healthy and well-behaved child, never getting sick. No doctor ever gave him more than a preschool check-up. Kevin talked to Kelly at the movie theatre until some of the Locos gang begin harassing him, and he walked away.


Becoming Prime


Burning with fever, Kevin was put to bed by his mother, but he suddenly morphed into a giant Adonis-like form for the first time, though he was virtually paralysed and blinded by his acutely swollen.


Suddenly he returned to normal inside the giant body, which had decayed into a liquid that was drowning him. Forcing himself to go back to sleep, he thought he had dreamed it all until he found the empty skin on his bedroom floor. Panicked, he tore free from the body then disposed of its remains.


After a night spend dreaming of himself as a monster, Kevin went to school and saw coach Meyer apparently grab Kelly Cantrell. Kevin was furious both at this action and at his own inability to do anything about it, but he then transformed into Prime. Excited, he flew into the air and accidentally hit a jet, knocking off one of its wings. He caught the plane and helped it land safely then flew back to school to teach Meyer a lesson.


At John F. Kennedy Junior High School in Canoga Park, California, Prime made his first public appearance, confronting coach Meyer, telling him he knew what he had been doing to the girls he coached, assaulting and threatening him to force him to stop. When Meyer tried to fight back, Prime inadvertently broke his left arm. Before he left, Prime told Kelly that he was her protector.


Prime smashed through the roof of a drug dealer's house, telling them not to deal in his neighborhood or anywhere else. The dealers attacked him with various firearm, but Prime defeated them all. The head dealer obtained a small sample of the liquid that leaked from Prime after he had been shot.


And that's just the first issue. He went on a flight with his crush, got captured, met Bill Clinton, went to the moon, and more! We haven't even gotten to the insanity of the Marvel buy-out and all the strange continuity changes that caused.

Protoplasmic Form: Kevin Green can transform into Prime by projecting an organic 'liquid flesh' material from his torso. The liquid flesh then shapes itself into a tall man with exceptionally large and defined muscular development. Prime can revert to his teenage form by destabilizing the outer body into a mess of protein goo, either consciously or when his Prime-body's energy reserves run out. When this happens, Kevin must pull himself out of the body's remains or risk suffocating from lack of oxygen.

  • Superhuman Strength: As Prime, Kevin possesses tremendous strength with unknown limits and has once lifted an entire outdoor gym with relative ease.
  • Superhuman Speed: As Prime, Kevin is capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than even the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Stamina: As Prime, Kevin's musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of a human being. Hardcase can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair him.
  • Superhuman Agility: As Prime, Kevin's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: As Prime, Kevin's reaction time is similarly enhanced, enabling him to react at a level that is beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Durability: As Prime, Kevin's bodily tissues are much harder and more resistant to injury than those of a human. He is capable of withstanding tremendous impact forces, falls from great heights, exposure to temperature and pressure extremes, the vacuum of space, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining injury. His body is also specially adapted to withstand the physiologically debilitating effects of moving and running at high rates of speed without sustaining injury. His durability is also nigh immeasurable having survived a close proximity explosion of several nuclear warheads.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor:: As Prime, Kevin's possesses a regenerative healing factor, allowing him to regenerate from what would normally be considered life-threatening wounds in a matter of moments. But if the shell is to damaged it will disperse and in time he is able to form a new Prime body
  • Flight: Prime can also take to flight at a Mach-level of velocity.
  • Energy Beams: Prime is capable of firing highly concentrated beams of energy from his hands. These beams are capable of reaching extremely high temperatures. The maximum temperature his beams can reach is unknown but were shown able to burn through Hulk's skin. The temperature level of his heat beams depends on his confidence.
  • Shape-shifting: Prime-body is formed mostly by Kevin's subconscious. Many of the features of the Prime-body are taken from Kevin's role models such as action stars and comic book superheroes. The face of Prime also bears a striking resemblance to Kevin's own father, Russel Green.

    First Prime: A Prime-body obviously inspired by comic book superheroes, as well as local body builders from Kevin's home state. As the first Prime-body, it defines the visual template for the other Prime-bodies. The body possesses extremely developed muscles and prominent veins. The costume is made up of a large red cape, red pants, gold gauntlets, calf guards and chest plate and features the trademark stylized “P” both the cape and the chest plate.
  • Space Prime: Prime-body meant to withstand to harsh conditions of outer space. This design was force fed into Kevin's subconscious by military scientists working for Colonel Samuels. The epidermal layer has been transformed into a hardened shell resembling some kind of metallic alloy, designed to prevent the body from expanding in the vacuum of space. A set of air-tanks exist in the sub dermal layer. The gold gauntlets, calf guard and chest plate remain as well as the 'P' insignia on his chest, but the cape is absent.





Skills: As an average teenage boy. He isn't particularly skilled in anything out of the ordinary. He does have a base understanding of how his protoplasmic shells work, and he's still trying to learn more on this.


Weaknesses:

  • Protoplasmic Form Stability: Should his Prime form fall apart Kevin will revert back to his child form and be rendered powerless. It takes him time and great effort to form a new prime shell, leaving him in a weakened state.
  • Adolescent Mind: Even though he is one of the most powerful Ultra's his mind is still that of a teenage boy. He is easily tricked and mislead by more mature heroes and villains. His personality and immature nature confuses a lot of his allies who are not aware of his true identity. He is frequently placed in adult situations and circumstances he may not be mature enough to deal with.
  • Confidence: As Prime, Kevin's powers, especially his strength, stamina, and resistance to physical injury, are affected by his level of confidence. If his confidence in himself wavers, he has been known to weaken substantially. Causing the liquid flesh to dissolve.

Put it in just for the sake of us understanding the universe.
 
You could just leave out the crucial parts. That way, you could still leave it a surprise yet still give info on the universe.

BACKSTORY








Skulduggery Pleasant grew up in Ireland approximately 430 years ago. When he was a child he had a stutter that caused people to think that he was possessed by the devil. However, he grew up fairly normal, and when his elemental powers surfaced around his twentieth birthday, he became good friends with Ghastly Bespoke and Hopeless, both of whom were sorcerers themselves. When a power-hungry sorcerer named Mevolent gathered an army and tried to conquer the world to summon the Faceless Ones (the equivalent of Gods) back to their reality he was opposed by a resistance movement, of which Skulduggery was one of the leaders. A war broke out between the forces of Mevolent and the Irish Sanctuary, with both sides trying to overpower the other, to no avail. It was during this time that a small group of seven aptly named the 'Dead Men' was formed, with Skulduggery, Ghastly and Hopeless amongst them. They were given this label in tribute to their abilities to always return from suicide missions alive. However, luck and skill are sure to fail at times. As the war stretched on, the members fell, one by one, Skulduggery being no exception.


He fell victim to Mevolent's second-in-command, Nefarian Serpine, who killed Skulduggery's wife and child before his eyes and then proceeded to attack Skulduggery himself with a dagger. Unbeknownst to the grief-stricken and furious man, the dagger was laced with lethal doses of deadly poison, which rendered him immobile a few seconds after contact. Skulduggery was tortured for several days before being killed by Serpine. Mevolent's minions then stuck Skulduggery's body on a pike and burnt it for all to see in hopes of demoralising the opposing force. One by one the other leaders of the resistance fell but Skulduggery's spirit refused to move on. His bones had been placed in a bag and thrown in a river, but his spirit got into the bag, reattach his bones and quite literally pull himself together. However, the loss of his family and intense hatred drove him to come back not as his good self, but as Lord Vile, his darker side. Vile alligned himself with Mevolent and fought for five years.



Five years later, his Skulduggery persona resurfaced for the first time since his death when Vile couldn't bring himself to kill his best friend Ghastly Bespoke. With his help, the resistance was able to defeat Mevolent whose minions were either imprisoned or rehabilitated, Serpine included. A truce was signed between the Sanctuaries around the world and the former followers of Mevolent. With that, an uneasy peace began. After Mevolent's defeat, Skulduggery became a detective in order to repent for the appalling deeds he executed as Lord Vile, but he never lost his hatred for and desire for revenge on Serpine.



His dislike for goblins emerged when a group of them stole his head while he was mediating, putting him through the trouble of having to win another skull in a poker game.

PERSONALITY




Skulduggery fancies himself as something of a dapper gentleman. He has a polite, old-fashioned way of speech, and a velvety-smooth voice which contrasts sharply with his current appearance. As well as a powerful sorcerer, more specifically an Elemental, he is particularly enthusiastic about doing detective work, always searching for clues and running around solving cases of the supernatural kind. He is also a rather flamboyant egotist, vocally exalting his own plans, complimenting himself, and showing off his magical abilities to new allies, strangers and enemies alike. He is also a clever strategist, usually the one forming a plan - when he actually thinks it is necessary - and sharpening his wit in whatever situation possible, whether it be appropriate or not, taking immense pleasure in his own wisecracks.


Skulduggery's suave demeanor hides a desire for revenge, forming a part of his existence as a living skeleton due to the natural of his death, and the intense hatred he felt during the time of his demise. That strong and intense emotion was what brought him back to life as an undead. Hence, his Chaotic Good standing. While he genuinely cares for people - his friends, families and allies - and will fight any who threatens their existence, a part of him is a raging psychopath bent on destroying his sworn enemies, and will plow through any obstacle between him and them - friends or foes be damned. This is his "darker, evil side", which manifests in the form of Lord Vile, a Necromancer. When his evil side takes over, he has no qualms indulging in appalling acts if it brings him one step closer to his goal. However, Skulduggery has a very strong will and has managed to fight off his darker urges time and again. He is also deeply remorseful for the terrible acts he committed as Lord Vile and has spent his entire life -
afterlife - trying to redeem himself by solving cases and bringing down despicable beings. Despite the darker side of his nature, witnessing the murder of his family has made him sensitive to the loss of others. Although he accepts sacrifice of individuals as part of war, he is highly reluctant to allow this to happen.




BACKSTORY







Skulduggery Pleasant grew up in Ireland approximately 430 years ago. When he was a child he had a stutter that caused people to think that he was possessed by the devil. However, he grew up fairly normal, and when his elemental powers surfaced around his twentieth birthday, he became good friends with Ghastly Bespoke and Hopeless, both of whom were sorcerers themselves. When a power-hungry sorcerer named Mevolent gathered an army and tried to conquer the world to summon the Faceless Ones (the equivalent of Gods) back to their reality he was opposed by a resistance movement, of which Skulduggery was one of the leaders. A war broke out between the forces of Mevolent and the Irish Sanctuary, with both sides trying to overpower the other, to no avail. It was during this time that a small group of seven aptly named the 'Dead Men' was formed, with Skulduggery, Ghastly and Hopeless amongst them. They were given this label in tribute to their abilities to always return from suicide missions alive. However, luck and skill are sure to fail at times. As the war stretched on, the members fell, one by one, Skulduggery being no exception.



He fell victim to Mevolent's second-in-command, Nefarian Serpine, who killed Skulduggery's wife and child before his eyes and then proceeded to attack Skulduggery himself with a dagger. Unbeknownst to the grief-stricken and furious man, the dagger was laced with lethal doses of deadly poison, which rendered him immobile a few seconds after contact. Skulduggery was tortured for several days before being killed by Serpine. Mevolent's minions then stuck Skulduggery's body on a pike and burnt it for all to see in hopes of demoralising the opposing force. One by one the other leaders of the resistance fell but Skulduggery's spirit refused to move on. His bones had been placed in a bag and thrown in a river, but his spirit got into the bag, reattach his bones and quite literally pull himself together. However, the loss of his family and intense hatred drove him to come back not as his good self, but as Lord Vile, his darker side. Vile alligned himself with Mevolent and fought for five years.



Five years later, his Skulduggery persona resurfaced for the first time since his death when Vile couldn't bring himself to kill his best friend Ghastly Bespoke. With his help, the resistance was able to defeat Mevolent whose minions were either imprisoned or rehabilitated, Serpine included. A truce was signed between the Sanctuaries around the world and the former followers of Mevolent. With that, an uneasy peace began. After Mevolent's defeat, Skulduggery became a detective in order to repent for the appalling deeds he executed as Lord Vile, but he never lost his hatred for and desire for revenge on Serpine.



His dislike for goblins emerged when a group of them stole his head while he was mediating, putting him through the trouble of having to win another skull in a poker game.

Hey, the books never say where, just that he is from Ireland, and i'm not even sure if it says that... I know Valkyrie is from Ireland, not sure about Skullduggery himself

Katniss has strong and independent survivalist instincts due to her difficult past and is good at thinking outside the box. She is not socially adept and has a hard time making friends due to the emotional strain on her life which has made her hard and cold. She is more concerned about feeding her family than being social, making her awkward around people. Though Katniss can be rather blunt, misanthropic, sarcastic, bitingly cynical and cold she has a very vulnerable side which she only shows around her family, and she has a natural maternal instinct as showed when she comforted Prim and helped Rue. She is not very good at acting for the camera and comes across best when she is herself. She is usually very logical except for times when her emotions get in the way.


Backstory: When she was 16, Katniss volunteered to take her sister, Primrose Everdeen's place in the 74th Hunger Games after Prim's name was called during the reaping. Originally, she had no intention of going into the games, hoping it would not be herself before the female tribute was chosen. It had not even crossed her mind, but, when her sister was picked, she volunteered to save her, in hopes that she could actually win. The male tribute was from the town bakery, Peeta Mellark, who had once risked a beating to save Katniss and her family from starvation by charring some bread and giving it to Katniss.
