Common Sense [Closed]

Drake snapped back into reality when the toy crow repeated what Willow had said. Sighing he didn't move from his spot as he looked at her rather bored. "If I was uninterested in this quest I wouldn't have accepted now will I? I thought you being the intelligent sort would figure that out... Guess I overestimated your brain capacity." He said before looking over at the crow. "She did? I don't want to tell her.. Since it may speed things along, Okay." He turned his gaze back to the group and sighed "Glad to know you have basic knowledge of Celestial magic. Congrats. Anyway I only have silver keys, though they can do plenty. For this mission I have one or two that may be useful for infiltration. We will be here all day if I talk about what my spirits can do. All you need to know is that I'm a capable mage with them and I'm not just barking. If I think they can be useful for the mission I'll let you know... Maybe" He said as he shook his head.

He was very certain that he wasn't giving the best impression to anyone. This didn't bother him much, he was hear to do a job not make friends. Sure it would help if he told the others what his keys could do as well as his main strong points. But he didn't give out this information just yet, he was honestly just being too cautious/paranoid. His eyes then went to the lacrima and waited for the man to answer Willow's question.

Willow sighed and before anyone tore into Drake again she spoke up in a pleasant tone. "I see, glad you are still with us. I thought you distracted for a moment. A lovely guise I am sure for tasks of deception. Color me impressed. I appreciate the knowledge and do hope you are earnest in saying you will inform us when your more.... focused abilities come in handy. The general picture does suffice for now so thank you Drake. I do apologize if my candor was a bit... rude. Even I am susceptible to the hostility that escalated earlier."

Willow hoped that would end the hostile discussion and we could move on. All her questions were addressed save for the mysterious mermaid heel wizard. Maybe they would get that much needed intel as well.

Spades was uncomfortable. Just a bit. A three or four on a scale of two to thirteen. He had realized how little experience he actually had working cooperatively. He tended to do things alone out of habit. So, out of that habit, he sat back when the plan-planning began. He also began a mental list of the people and their personalities.

  • Willow was the smart kind one who made balloons that helped people
  • Gurren was the cool fun one who seemed very straight-forwards
  • The guy with the metal bird seemed be in it for the money
  • The one girl who didn't like the guy likes to drink according to that alcohol smell
  • The sparking girl didn't seem to work well in social situations
  • The sparking girl's companion...

That's all he had really for the last one. He also made a note to self that the fourth might be a fun drinking partner. Names were not his strong point, however good his memory is. When Willow mentioned the plan, Spades became curious. To be honest, he thought the team's chemistry was crap and that they would be better busting down the door and winging it. He was an ad-libber at heart.

"What do you have as far as plans go? I'm pretty curious." Spades asked.

Nishka Zharim

Nishka let out a breath of relief when Gurren was not electrocuted, and shifted ever closer, standing next to Serafina. She jumped slightly when the woman, Willow, slammed her hands down on the table. The young girl snapped into attention, watching the woman and listening to what she had to say.

"Ahem.... ! Look... we are all likely powerful wizards here. We are of different guilds and tensions are high. Many of us have suggested infiltration... and many of us have also blown up at others for differing opinions or means of functioning. Let us act like guild wizards now and come up with a decent plan that does not involve self destruction.... or worse destruction of the citizens whom depend on the magic council for aid. Everyone has a voice here and Serafina has a good reason not to let her gun be taken. It is a foci for her magic.... I would be just as mad if someone tied a cloth around my mouth crippling my magics.... So... what can we do that involves all our skills?.... Ideas?... also no more violence.... if you are inclined to hurt one another... go somewhere else.... "Now... who hasn't said what they can do?.... please speak up."

She blinked, and opened her mouth, ready to respond to the last question, when another began to speak. The girl shut her mouth quickly, letting her eyes shift to the man who was speaking.

"I’m a teleporter. I can also sense magic although it’s not a perfect sense. Well, a functioning team needs a leader, first of all,”

She nodded at this, agreeing a leader was needed if they were to work as a team. Her gaze traveled throughout the room, gauging to herself who she thought should lead. The woman spoke again, and she returned her gaze to her.

"As long as he doesn't pick more fights I can get behind the sentiment. You said you can sense magic correct Soren?.... hmmm... I have an idea... though this is not definitive at all. We don't have much information to go on other than a location. Enemy assets and numbers are unknowns. However we do have some that can use their talents to do leg work if you will. For example Soren's magic sense.... Soren, could you use that to tell us if there are other wizards in the area besides us? If no do you think if... ..."

The woman began to adress those gathered in the room, or at least what Nishka assumed was everyone, and the girls gaze continuously shifted between people as she listened. She spaced out about halfway through, snapping back to the current time by the woman addressing her specifically.

"And... what do you do?"

Nishka smiled brightly, and opened her mouth to reply, until once more she was interrupted. Her now frustrated eyes shifted to the culprit, and she didn't even bother listening to what was said. She contined on to watch the wall lacrima in the middle of the table idly, listening to only snippet of what was said. If she missed any of the plan, she'd pick up on it later. Finally, the unending talking ceased, and she jumped on the opening to answer to woman's question. "In answer to your question, Willow," She started, looking to the woman again, smiling slightly, her voice now calmly cheery and childish, though considerably more toned down than normal, "I use Mirror Magic.~" She finished. She had an explanation of her magic upon the tip of her tongue in case it was needed. She did not move from her current spot next to her guild-mate.

Willow seemed happy to hear from the Mermaid Heel's name who's name she never was able to catch. "Mirror Magic huh?... hmm.. alright that is a new one on me; but I am also a odd named magic user so please enlighten me if you will?" she seemed absolutely curious. Willow did find magic in general fascinating and though she understood skepticism, especially between guilds, the more Willow knew of a wizards means of working the better she can assist them.

Willow did take a brief moment to look to Spades and smiled. "Before I go on about the possible plan I have I want to hear about the mermaid heels... ." she pauses, "Sorry dear never caught your name. learn about the Mirror Magic. Then hear the intel from our host here." she looks to the blue haired Kolte on the other end of the lacarma

"Mirror Magic huh?... hmm.. alright that is a new one on me; but I am also a odd named magic user so please enlighten me if you will?"

Nishka nodded, but waited, listening as Willow replied to one of the Fairy Tail guild member's, Spade, question. She too wanted to know what Willow had planned in her head.

"Before I go on about the possible plan I have I want to hear about the mermaid heels... Sorry dear never caught your name. learn about the Mirror Magic. Then hear the intel from our host here.''

She glanced towards Kolite, then looked to Willow again. "Mirror Magic allows me to create mirrors of many different shapes and sizes. With those, I can then reflect magic attacks back at an opponent. The mirrors could also be used to trap others.~" She said in a rather quick explanation. "My name's Nishka!~" She added, with a smile.

Kolte’s hologram flickered. His droopy eyes lazily crawled over to glance at Willow. Though she had asked him a question, he remained still, as if predicting that she was so hyperactive as to immediately break off into a secondary conversation and ignore a possible response.

“Your team is terrible,” he flatly said. “You won’t do well here if you argue all the time.”

The bluenette snapped his fingers. Several blue, holographic squares materialized out of thin air, each holding pictures of a single building from different angles.

Kansas_City_building-02_1.jpg

“Common Sense is being printed in the old printing facility for Sorcerer’s Weekly, at Scarlet Print here. It’s mainly being operated by activist volunteers,” he said. With a second snap, a dark photo popped into existence. Within it stood a group of men and women, garbed in some sort of armor.

“Overseeing the operations is the Red Tide, a primarily anti-Magic organization. They act as security guards and the directors of the operation. Police so far have been unable to track them down because the Red Tide is using one of its corporate fronts, Scarlet Industries, as a cover their operations here.”

The conference you stood around flashed in magical light. From it emerged towers, streets, and people, holographic models rising from the wooden panelling to form a full three-dimensional representation of Strauss Borough.

Kolte continued, “Today, at seven o’ clock tonight, a new shipment of production materials will be making a delivery to Scarlet Print, along with a wave of new recruits. Security will be stretched at best, so today is your best shot at making this work.”

One vehicle in the model began glowing bright red as it carried on through the streets. It slowed to a stop at toll booth before a long bridge across the Lockser River. “All delivery vehicles must pay the toll across the Lockser River before passing through. If you can catch one of them, you should be able to masquerade as new recruits and get in,” the blunette explained.

“As for how, I’d recommend temporarily short-circuiting the lights in that district with that woman’s Lightning Magic and then hijack the vehicle.” He tilted his head towards Serafina. “Once you reach the Scarlet Print, you’ll need a password. I haven’t made the effort to find out what it is, but there is a list inside the guard outpost you’ll need to pass through. Some of you could enter and find the password list.”

Kolte’s eyes drawled upwards in a half-hearted eyeroll. “Or you could avoid it all entirely by teleportation. I wouldn’t advise that, since they have Magic detectors set up all over. You’d be spotted in an instant. There is a control room at the top of Scarlet Print that you can disable all the security from, but you’d need to already be on the inside to do it.”

“Now, is there anything else you need?”

Soren Peres

The Lamia Scale mage acknowledged Willow’s question right off the bat. “Yes, I could alert us to the presence of other mages although that would probably be my limit. I couldn’t provide more than that.” Although it didn’t quite come off in his words, Soren was very limited in his confidence with his magic sense. Identifying magic was easy, but figuring out more about it got really complicated really quickly.

Soren then quickly withdrew himself once more from the group, his lack of interest in any of the bickering that ensued became very obvious as he once more took up residence in the corner of the room. It wouldn’t help any if he got involved in it, and he really didn’t have any opinion on the matters discussed. He was the type of person who took a job and he did it. If it involved teamwork, he did what he could to function as part of that team, which usually meant he did what he was told. Soren wasn’t the type of person to step up unless no one else would.

He did turn to listen to Kolte when the man started talking again. Soren’s head nodded in acknowledgement of the man’s suggestions and offered information. Teleporting in was never really an option anyway, Soren considered. If I can’t see where I’m going, I could easily get us stuck in a wall or something else… unpleasant. He didn’t even want to consider all the ways something like that could go wrong.

Serafina Dunlar

The unstable Mermaid Heel mage watched as the group continued to argue much to her dismay. Serafina felt helpless; there was nothing she could do to help them. Everything she had tried to do thus far had only caused further chaos and she didn’t want that at all. Her sadness was further amplified when the blue haired man chirped in again, stating that their teamwork was horrible and upon hearing it, Serafina’s entire body flinched as though she had been slapped. She blamed herself. She didn’t come out and say it, but it was what was going through her head.

Her distress further grew when the man referred to her within his suggestions, unsure if she was actually capable of such a thing. Using her electricity magic was something she tended to avoid at all costs and she didn’t know how to suddenly master something she had spent her entire life avoiding, even if it seemed that for the moment its chaotic nature had vanished. Her eyes flickered to the other mages in the room, unaware of whether or not they had noticed that her entire body started shaking at the mere suggestion of her using the lightning. Serafina had no problem using her guns magic - that was easy. The electricity magic was another matter entirely.

For the moment, she chose to remain silent on the matter. Serafina trusted Nishka, and she had a feeling Willow would not push her too far. As for the others, Serafina was quite honestly still terrified of them as they seemed too wrapped up in the mission and their arguments to care about the wellbeing of themselves and the rest of the team.

Gurren stood near Serafina's chair as Kolte informed the group about the Red Tide, where Common Sense was printed, and what time would be the best opportunity to strike. Although as a man of action he'd probably only remember the where and when once put on the spot. After the information was given, Gurren waited for Willow to talk about her plan. He was about to give her his full attention when he noticed that Serafina still seemed uncomfortable. He didn't think touching her again would help. Wanting to put her at ease he took off his gold and red necklace and gently placed it around her neck. The metal felt a little warm. Since Gurren never took off his necklace until this point it had absorbed some of his body heat and the heat of his fire-make flames. He flashed Serafina a grin before turning his attention back to Willow, silently asking her what their next move was.

Drake listened to the bored Kolte, when he was done he placed his hand on his chin and remain silent. 'The chances of this being successful as infiltration is really slim, we have the loud mouth fairy, and the girl who can't control very loud and bright lightning magic... For this I only have one spirit that will come in handy. Though with magic sensors around it looks like I will be doing this mostly without magic, which shouldn't be too hard for me.' He thought as he closed his eyes to think bit more on the matter. 'He says that the mage that can't control her power should short circuit the power, but once again she probably can't... I wouldn't be surprised if she fainted from the pressure or just ended up missing completely and alerting everyone what's going on... Damn this is a pain.' After contemplating the situation he sighed and pushed off the wall taking a few steps forward.

"I specialize in stealth, so I can go in and find the password. One spirit I have will be able to tell me how many enemies there along with how strong they are. Of course we will need to successful highjack one of their vehicles. From the display earlier with the girl who can't control her lightning magic...I personally don't think she should do it. We may need to find some other way of short circuiting the system, if she doesn't think she can do it without fucking up bad." He said in a calm voice. He had no plans or wants to take up as leader, he was simply stating his idea's out loud...well most of them he did a surprisingly good job at keeping the insults to a minimum. "Oh, one other thing. What do you know about the magic sensors? How strong are they, what's their range, and where do they begin?" He asked Kolte figuring this info would be important, though it would pain to find out on their own.

Spades was thinking over his abilities. He'd practiced his teleportation magic, but the only way it wasn't inconveniently draining was when he teleported in short infrequent bursts. However, unlike the other teleporter, and unlike his father as well, he didn't need to have a location in mind. He teleported based on distance. This could work. He'd had some practice with teleporting objects, and even people that one time, so it was a distinct possibility.

"I think I can help with the hijacking deal. I practice teleportation magic, however, I deal with distance instead of location. I can also bring people with me, but when I do, it's severely magically draining, so I can only teleport about 15 feet max."

Soren huffed as the other teleporter seemed to imply that he was a better teleporter although his breath was not audible and he said nothing. Even if you teleport based on distance, which I can also do, if you can't see where you are going and there happens to be a wall the exact distance you are teleporting away from you, you can still get stuck in it. I've teleported 3 people from a beach to a library so don't even get me started on how draining it can be... and that was after bouncing around on the beach itself. The more Soren thought about it, the more he realized that his own teleportation magic had grown. Heck, I've used teleportation to build up enough speed to drill through a train...!.

Regardless of his thoughts on the matter, Soren continued to say nothing for the time being.

As he continued to observe the rest of the group, noting that the lightning mage didn't seem at all comfortable with the situation and that the fire mage seemed to take responsibility for the girl although Soren couldn't quite discern whether or not the girl was ok with that. He also noticed that their "leader", Willow, had gone quiet. If everyone was going to sit and wait, they would get nowhere. Soren took a single step forward and yelled, "Alright guys! We have our mission. We have the details. Let's get moving already!"

Adelaide groaned loudly, bringing up both hands to kneed at her scalp a moment before she stepped forward. “Alright, first off, you,”She started, pointing at Soren, “We do not have a plan, we don't even remotely have a plan!” Adelaide exclaimed. “Now blue hair here is right, we do have a sorry ass group, which means we do not need to go rushing in!” Adelaide said with a sigh. “Everyone needs to just be quiet a moment and take a seat. And you, “Adelaide rounded on her Raven Tail guild mate with a scowl, directing a finger right between his eyes, “From here on out if you've got nothing helpful to say then shut the fuck up! I am quite honestly tired of your smart ass mouth commenting negatively on everything that happens! So if you do have something to say then make sure you use every ounce of manners you have so as to not make a further fool of Raven Tail than has already been made. I'm sure Master Cyan will love to hear about it all if you want to disagree with me and you can bet your ass he will!” Adelaide growled.

With that said she turned, rubbing her temples as her headache reflared. If only her sister was here she wouldn't have to deal with this situation and things would be a lot more smooth. Sadly she wasn't and this group was off to a bad start, meaning the pissed off hungover woman had to take over now. Adelaide took a deep breath, exhaling to calm herself before continuing. “Alright..blue hair, I need more information. Can we get floor plans of the building maybe? Little more information on what's around it?” Adelaide asked before turning back to the rooms occupants, “And as for all of you. I want to point out one thing, we're going with magic detectors. So in my opinion magic should be a last resort if we're going down this route of infiltration. It's bright and noisy no matter what you do and if we're gonna infiltrate it we need to find a way to do so without arousing suspicion. I think I might have the start of a plan but I need everyone to just relax a minute and not try to run off.” she finished before turning back to the bluenette.

Ken once again zoned out Adelaide seeing as it seemed she was lecturing him or something of the sort. His eyes moved to the silent Willow. She actually had his respect in the short time he knew her. At this he couldn't help but let out a small chuckle that he respected one of these mages he just met. It was interesting to say the least. Shaking his head he let out a small sigh as he looked at his watch seeing quite a bit of time has passed since they arrived. Scratching his head a bit before he placed his hands in his pockets he looked at the informant and waited for any possible details all the while zoning out the others that he felt were just annoyances, aka everyone but Willow.

Serafina Dunlar

As soon as Gurren even tried to put a necklace around Serafina's neck, she started shaking even as her hand rose to push it away from her own body and back towards his own. He was nice... too nice. It was making the Mermaid Heel mage very uncomfortable. As he tried to flash her a grin, Serafina could not return it. In fact, she was struggling to grab the necklace steadily in her hands so that she could try to give it back to him.

Serafina was not used to kindnesses from men. The last time she could remember a kindness from a male was back when she had been imprisoned and they had made as though they intended to set her free. She finally had been able to see her brother again, just for her newfound electricity magic to kill him on contact. Kindnesses from men, therefore, were associated with the memory of it. Visible sparks shot through her arms although they remained contained within her skin as a sign that her emotions were once again being tested. Somehow, and even she didn't quite understand how she had managed it, Serafina managed to place the necklace back in Gurren's hand before turning her attention to the man who had implied she was useless - Drake.

One positive thing came of this. Serafina was able to take her mind off of her memories; her instability was replaced with a subtle irritation. "I'm not useless," she whispered softly. It wasn't quite soft enough that no one would hear it, though. "I do have my guns magic. An electric bolt in the right spot should do the trick just fine." Although she wasn't one to brag about her abilities, Serafina's mind went to the fact that she was an A Ranked mage. She was one of the strongest in her guild as far as she was aware. Sure, there were stronger, but she trusted her shotgun to get just about anything done.

@Peaceswore @Atom @Stormborn Targaryen @Tulani @Gabauchi @shadowdude505

Gurren noticed Serafina's struggle to get rid of his necklace. Once she managed to put it back into his hand he stared at it with a straight lip. For some reason Serafina had rejected his kindness and he had to respect that. Gurren let out a quiet sigh as he put the necklace back around his neck. As he completed the motion he listened to the others' discussion. It definitely was time to get moving, but they still didn't have a plan to go on. Willow seemed to have one but she was suddenly really quiet. On the other hand the Raven Tail mage said she had a start of a plan and needed a moment of quiet to think.

Gurren stared back at his necklace. Memories of his mentor, Yoko Haruno, flooded his head. A warm smile appeared on his face as he remembered how motherly she had been to him while she was teaching him how to use her Fire-maker magic. Once this mission was over he should write her a letter or maybe even visit her. He was sure she'd be proud to know how he had added his own flare to his mentor's magic.

"I'm not useless. I do have my guns magic. An electric bolt in the right spot should do the trick just fine."

Serafina's words snapped his attention back to the task at hand. Still lingering beside Serafina, Gurren turned his attention to Adelaide. "What do you have in mind?" he asked softly, yet eager to get started.

Adelaide looked over towards Gurren as he spoke, raising a hand towards the bluenette to tell him to hold off a second before turning to answer, "Well, I think it'd be best to hit the building from multiple angles first off, as well as a distraction. Security is already stretched thin we've been told. If we can place a couple people in the building and deactivate the magic detectors I was thinking you could perhaps cause a rucus outside, enough of s distance away to threaten them and draw security towards you. Given it's already thin situation I can imagine that anyone inside would be directed towards the actual machinery to tighten the protection on it. If we get rid of the sensors then whoever we get there could use their magic to knock out the guards around it and take out the machines without alerting those outside. From what I've seen it looks like the top floors have windows. If we could get someone up top we could maybe get them in through one of those, which would allow them to strike at the sensors control room." Adelaide explained.

"I'm still trying to work out further details but that's the gyst of it. What do you think?" Adelaide asked.

@shadowdude505

That sounded like a plan. A very plausible one at that. I suppose I could get behind this. But this wasn't exactly an infiltration.

"I like this plan much more than the other one. It's like bust down the door, but with less civilian casualties."

As he said this, another idea came

into mind

"Also, shouldn't we try and catch the guys producing it too? Machinery can be replaced, and I'm sure the Council would pay well for these guys."

Kolte boredly glanced off into the distance, his hands slipping in his pockets. It seemed as if the bluenette was spacing out.

His eyes practically glossed over staring towards the wall, face retaining a shape of impassive stone. You couldn't be sure if he was even listening to what the proceeding onwards.

Professional or not, it seemed like Kolte really didn't care.

Nishka Zharim

Nishka listened vaguely to the words spoken by Kolite. Again, it wasn’t something she specifically found important. She conintued to vaguely listene as the bored man stopped talking and others started. The girl stayed next to Serafina, her eyes flicking between the others. She glanced to Gurren and Serafina as a necklace passed between them a couple times.

We may need to find some other way of short circuiting the system, if she doesn't think she can do it without fucking up bad."

This pulled Nishka from her stupor, her eyes zapping to the source in a hard glare. She believe Serafina could do it, and she would not stand for others trying to put her down and out. Her guildmate had a right to be apart of this team. Just as she was about to argue her point, however, the other fairytail mage spoke. He said something about teleporting, but it went mostly unheard by the Mermaid Heel mage, to busy gathering her dislike of the Raven Tail male.

"Alright guys! We have our mission. We have the details. Let's get moving already!"

Her gazed flicked away, towards the man named Soren as he spoke, but she rolled her eyes. Even though she too wanted to get moving, they had no plan, nor did they have decent teamwork. Though, they would probably never have the latter.

“Alright, first off, you, we do not have a plan, we don't even remotely have a plan! Now blue hair here is right, we do have a sorry ass group, which means we do not need to go rushing in! Everyone needs to just be quiet a moment and take a seat.”

Nishka nodded as another woman spoke, taking control again, in Willow’s place. She turned towards her to listen, but did not sit down. She wouldn’t until her guildmate did so, as she wanted to be sure she would be alright.

“And you, from here on out if you've got nothing helpful to say then shut the fuck up! I am quite honestly tired of your smart ass mouth commenting negatively on everything that happens! So if you do have something to say then make sure you use every ounce of manners you have so as to not make a further fool of Raven Tail than has already been made. I'm sure Master Cyan will love to hear about it all if you want to disagree with me and you can bet your ass he will!”

She smiled, happy as the woman reprimanded her guild mate. It needed to be done, and she was quite happy with it. She still had not liking for the man what so ever, though. She listened, as the woman continued on to question Kolite more.

“And as for all of you. I want to point out onething, we're going with magic detectors. So in my opinion magic should be a last resort if we're going down this route of infiltration. It's bright and noisy no matter what you do and if we're gonna infiltrate it we need to find a way to do so without arousing suspicion. I think I might have the start of a plan but I need everyone to just relax a minute and not try to run off.”

Nishka blinked, and nodded. She had been perfectly relaxed, however, she wasn’t sure about Serafina. She was happy Gurren was trying to help, but she did not think he was doing very well with it, as she did notice Serafina was not very comfortable.

"I'm not useless, I do have my guns magic. An electric bolt in the right spot should do the trick just fine."

A whispering voice from Serafina drew Nishka’s attention, and she looked to her. She nodded, and smiled encouragingly to the older woman. Her eyes flicked to Gurren as he asked the other woman what she had in mind.

"Well, I think it'd be best to hit the building from multiple angles first off, as well as a distraction. Security is already stretched thin we've been told. If we can place a couple people in the building and deactivate the magic detectors I was thinking you could perhaps cause a rucus outside....”

The woman replied rather soon after, and started to explain her plan. However, she lost Nishka’s attention quickly, as she had taken to watching Serafina, standing as close as she felt comfortable doing, more for Serafina’s comfort than her own. This team was very dysfunctional, and she didn’t understand how this infiltration was going to work as it stood, but she would roll with whatever was planned, and she was still listening as the basic idea was explained.

Drake let out a sigh and shook his head. "Even the person that is suppose to give us information is bored out of his skull, can't say I blame him." With that Drake left his spot and started to go to the door. "I doubt he knows everything we want to know, not because he doesn't have the skill to finding it. He simply doesn't wish to retrieve it. After all he didn't get us the password." He said in a calm tone before he looked over his shoulder. "I don't like going in without a plan, but with a group like this... I have a feeling a simple plan wouldn't work."

Scratching his head he thought of something. "Still...a small plan is better then no plan.... Fine, I'm going to try and get the password, anyone stealthy enough can join me. Someone should help shocker girl find the place to short circuit the lights. Since we can't use magic we will use different means to travel long distance. I'll leave my hawk here, if you need to communicate with someone write it on a note and give it to him. He will deliver it with ease and he won't set off any magic sensors. Those who have nothing to do at the moment just stay on stand by, or act like lookouts. Frankly I don't care as long as you don't get caught and ruin the entire thing." Not waiting to see if anyone would follow what he said he placed his hand on the door handle and was about to leave but stopped for a moment to look at the fairy tail mages. "Try not to turn this into an all out destruction fest in the first five minutes. Okay?" He said with a smirk.

With that he left the room calmly with his hands stuffed in his pocket. When he got out he leaned against the counter for a moment and took a deep breath. '........... How can anyone stand a room that messy! It took all my will not to clean up... Gods that was almost as annoying as the other mages.... I wonder what Adelaide was talking to me about... She was obviously nagging me about something... whatever I forgot I don't care. Shaking his head he brushed a few strands of hair out of his eyes before pushing off the counter and heading to the door.

"I was thinking you could perhaps cause a ruckus outside." Gurren grinned once he heard that. "Sounds like a plan to me," he replied after Adelaide finished informing them about the plan she had been forming. He clenched a fist near his head and his first burst into a controlled flame; his fiery fighting spirit visible for all in the room to see. "So are we done sitting on our butts?" he asked with a smirk.

Gurren shot a glare at Drake. His attention to the plan sounded sound, but he didn't like his tone of voice. It sounded like he thought he was superior to everyone else in the room. "Try not to turn this into an all out destruction fest in the first five minutes. Okay?" Gurren cracked his knuckles, turning the burning flame that had once been on his first into sparks. The physical fire was out, but now he had a fiery look in his eyes. "I can't promise anything. For the sake of the council I'll try to practice restraint," he replied with a serious look on his face. "But if any of my comrades need me, I don't give a damn about the council. I always go all out for my friends!"

Gurren wasn't sure if Drake heard his reply since he had left rather quickly. He glanced over at his other teammates on this mission. It was probably time to follow Drake's example of leaving the room.

Upon exiting the building he was greeted with the noise of the outside filled with bleak looking figures scurrying to get to their destination and the honking from vehicles that littered the streets. Taking a small breath Drake rubbed his head as it was aching a bit from the noise and the mere thought of his cornet team. Looking behind him he saw they had yet to leave the room which just made him sigh, shaking his head he walked away from the store.

As soon as he did there was a fluttering and weight was placed on his shoulders, meaning his two companions had joined him once more. A satisfied smile played on his lips as he walked over to a bench where he sat down. He once more ignored the looks he got as he stretched a bit and thought over what he needs to do. 'I need to get the password, before 7:00pm, and right now it's well after one, so I got time.' He thought as he closed his eyes the image of the map once more appearing in his head as he thought about what he should do. Thinking of the terrain and the location of the guard outpost tat he needed to get to. "Penance. I need you to stay near the store, you are going to be messenger if the others decide to go with my advise." He said in a low voice something he simply had a habit of doing, but in a place like this he felt like it may be slightly necessary.

At this Penance nodded before out stretching his long beautiful wings and taking off. Drake opened his eyes a bit as he watched the hawk before closing them again and going into thought. 'I would assume that this power detector wouldn't range to far other wise it would be going off from all the visiting and residential mages.' He thought before standing up and letting out a yawn. 'I'll think of something as I head over there... I'm probably being to careful butI have this weird feeling.' He opened his eyes and looked around at all the people tat seemed to be minding there own business. With a shrug he turned on his heel and started to walk to his destination. He knew walking would take a bit, but once he got an idea of how he should get the password he would fly over there.

Serafina Dunlar

Serafina made as though she was going to follow Drake out of the room, but her intense hesitation stopped her. She didn't like the idea of leaving without others and she wasn't quite sure that they had even agreed upon their plan in the first place. "So... is that the plan? Are we going to get going now?" Her voice remained timid as it had been, and it conveyed that she was still very unsure of herself. "We probably shouldn't let him wander on his own... but, I'd rather not... be the one... with... him..."

In reality, Serafina felt terrible about saying that she didn't want to work with someone; however, it was also a sign of strength on her part. Serafina knew what she could handle and what she couldn't handle. She knew that out of the people who were in the room with her at that moment in time, Drake was the last one she wanted to get stuck with because his words did nothing but tear down what little sense of self-confidence she had. Adelaide was also very discomforting to the Mermaid Heel woman although that was different. That was tolerable.
