Come on, Ade, meet the family! - Sincerely, Cas

Cas gracefully stepped over the foot, sticking out his tongue with a grin. Cas was getting used to being home again, and not being the ontwo ladly one that made innuendos a heavy part of everyday life. So when Adrian told him about his mom being inappropriate, in complete bewilderment, he just smiled knowingly and gave a brief nod, shoveling a heap of soup into his open mouth.

Adrian was right about the fact that Sabe Pesant, the father in this bunch, was much quieter than his two wives. He sat in silence, only looking at Ade from the corner of his eyes. Half from curiosity, half from wanting Ade to enjoy his food.

When the innuendo fell from Sabe's lips, however, as the man got up and left, Cas' eyes widened and stared up from his soup, un-moving suddenly. Dad. He glared, lowering his face back to his soup and trying to ignore his parents. "A-zaa..." He hissed, now embarrassed a little also. His father was usually quiet, and did not participate in Rozelyn-style humor. Well, rarely, at least. Of course one of these rare moments had to be directed at those two.

He shook it off with a tiny laugh, got up awkwardly, and followed his father. Leaving Adrian alone with the women. Rozelyn was snickering at Adrian's reddened face, and she put an arm around him, "If noot, eye leek yoou, Aderiyaan~" Alecia smacked the back of Rozelyn's head lightly, reigning her back in.

Rozelyn pulled out a device resembling a cell phone, and began fiddling with it. She was checking some sort of social media website, of the 51st century. The header was a pinkish-red, with big bold letters in Kershnaille. A grin developed on her face, and she turned to chatter to Alecia excitedly.

She glanced over at Ade every few moments, making sure he was still there. Slowly, Alecia was won over by whatever plot Rozelyn had formed, and a similar grin worked its way onto her face. Alecia decided to inform the now confused, and slightly terrified, looking Ade about this "plot".

"Wee need picturees of yoou and my sonne." (We need pictures of you and my son.) The two women now seemed excited just over having a memento. "Leetz go geet Casadee." Both ladies got up, Rozelyn beckoning Adrian to follow.

Rozelyn disappeared somewhere on the journey, slipping away unseen, to her bedroom up the stairs.

She returned minutes later, finding Alecia distracting Adrian with the 51st century TV technology, a hologram floating in place of a large screen, as they waited for Sabe and Cas to emerge from the kitchen, where they were putting dishes away.

Soon, Cas was in their clutches, Alecia nabbing him right as he came out next to his father. "Cassidy, chceme obrázok z vás a Adrian. Choď, choď tam."

Cas looked at them with a raised brow, "Already?" He whispered in English, wandering over to stand next to his tall companion, without touching. Rozelyn rolled her eyes and groaned at this, Alecia finding it more endearing than her boy seemed more controlling and innocent than how Rozelyn tried to raise him.

Rozelyn beckoned the two together, adjusting them so that they were holding hands. Rozelyn winked at Alecia, and she began snapping photos on a phone device, blushing at how adorable her son and boyfriend were.

Rozelyn, meanwhile, stood by with her hands behind her back, looking all too innocent.

Ade cocked an eyebrow as he saw his lover approach again. “No, no, really-” He growled, bearing a weak, forced smile at Alecia and shook his head. “No. Photo.” He said, in loud, stressed Kershnaille. The doctor inched away from Cassidy, grimacing as Alecia hurried forward and awkwardly pushed the two together. She giggled excitedly, taking the Lieutenant’s hand and pushing it against Ade’s side, forcing the two to hold hands as she scurried back to her camera device.

“Ah! Vy dvaja ste tak roztomilý!” Alecia squealed, temporarily forgetting about her wife’s mischievous plot. She started snapping dozens of photos, making Ade squirm uncomfortably, his hands hot and sweaty despite the chilly atmosphere of the room. “God, really?!” He muttered under his breath, still smiling exaggeratedly at the camera. Rozelyn piped up behind Ade, inching closer and giggling along with Alecia.

“Mali by objať!” She said, and Alecia blushed, nodding in agreement. She motioned at Cas eagerly, suddenly realising what Rozelyn meant. Ade rolled his eyes and groaned. “No, no, we’re done,” He huffed, pouting at the Lieutenant as he wrapped his arms around Adrian’s waist. His face was burning with embarrassment as Alecia clapped her hands excitedly at the cozy hug between the two, and he briefly leaned his head to whisper in Cas’ ear, shying his face away from the camera’s view “You’re in trouble, later, Petar.” He pulled his head back and smiled weakly as Alecia cooed, “Syreee!” (Cheeese!)

The only sign of the impeding mayhem was a loud chuckle from Sabe, who was plopped down on the sofa, as he realised too what was going to happen. Rozalyn stepped forward suddenly and whipped her hands out from behind her back, snapping a pair of metal handcuffs over Cas’ wrists, still encircled around Adrian’s waist.

The quiet click sound of them snapping together was drowned out by the women’s excited whooping and the snapping of the camera – so when the Lieutenant pulled away in panic, he pulled Ade with him. “What the-“ was all Ade managed to blurt before he recoiled and staggered, unable to balance himself with his partner’s arms clamped behind his back. Moments later he toppled and fell on top of the Lieutenant, sending them both crashing to the floor as Cas continued to struggle behind him.

Cassidy!” The doctor yelped, red-faced and staring down at his partner in accusation. Fits of laughter and giggles erupted behind them, and Ade turned his face towards the family gathered in the living room, Alecia still busily snapping photos.

Cas grinned nervously, not really being one for photos taken by his parents anyway. The Lieutenant did know, however, if he just went along with the silly dog and pony show, that it would soon be over- and they could move on to their next antic. Besides, he did enjoy in the young Scot's tormenting, also, so a bit of the grin surmounted from amusement too.

He never guessed his moms would pull something like that, though. Handcuffs, obviously from the crazy antics they tried in bed together, were snapped over his wrists. The second he felt them, instinctively his training kicked in, and he tugged back, trying to get away- to no avail. It sent the clumsy doctor face first into him; he smashed into the floor, trying to get Adrian to stop kicking and struggling, so he could handle the situation.

Cas' face turned beet red. Apparently, that was possible for someone of that skin color. "Ade- Adrian. Stop. Now. Stop!" He hissed, before beginning to get frustrated. The Lieutenant tugged the other violently over, and positioned himself easily to pull both of them into a suggestive sitting position. "Mom." He growled, glaring sharply at the two, shaking from embarrassment marked by anger.

Rozelyn was on the floor, though, laughing her ass off. This only seemed to embarrass him even more, and he closed his eyes, trying to enjoy family time. The Lieutenant perked up a brow, "Okay." He sounded threatening. He tugged Adrian up with his arms still round his waist, tight. "Adrian, we will retire." Cas' tone sultry, suggestive. Sabe laughed, Alecia's jaw dropped, Rozelyn laughing too hard to notice. He winked at Alecia, whose cheeks turned pink fast, trying to still enjoy the prank as her son pulled his doctor boyfriend, with toy handcuffs, towards the stairs to go to bed.

“No – No – No monkey business, Cassidy!” Alecia finally managed to call after them in embarrassed Gliesian. She turned and glowered at Rozelyn, “I hope you told them they will be sleeping in separate rooms…!”

The other had sat up, and grabbed Alecia by the arm, pulling her so hard she stumbled and nearly fell on top of her wife. “Of course, just like you and Sabe slept in separate rooms when you were teenagers…” Rozelyn murmured sarcastically, sticking her tongue out. She pulled Alecia closer towards her, using all her strength to stop the other from scrambling up the stairs after her son, “But that’s different…! He’s still just a baby…!” She wailed.

Despite Cas’ smooth words, it took a lot of effort to stagger down the brightly-lit corridor and up the stairs, with the Lieutenant’s arms wrapped uncomfortably tight around Ade’s waist. The toy handcuffs were fake but definitely strong – several times Ade lost his balance or stepped on Cas’ toes, which caused the other to yelp as he recoiled against the light metal. The two angrily tried to unhook themselves a couple of times – Ade’s shoulders were too wide for them to go over, and after several attempts (nearly pulling Ade’s shorts down in the process) they realised going downwards wasn’t an option until they got back to the room, either. “Oh. My. God.” Was all Adrian could growl through gritted teeth, almost totally lost for words as they started to climb the stairs, one step at a time. His face was clouded red, same as Cas’, by the time they reached the bedroom door.

They awkwardly shuffled sidewards to the doorway, and Ade growled in frustration as his partner fumbled at the handle. “Oh, let me do it!” He snapped, spinning around and stretching out a hand. The move forced the Lieutenant’s face into his chest, who complained angrily as Adrian searched for a way to get in. As the door clicked open, he took a step forward, relieved that he could finally get the other off him. However, before the two made it into the room, a confused Gliesian voice appeared behind them, making Ade jump just enough to send the both of them crashing to the floor again.

Cassidy kept his mischievous, and slightly threatening, grin on until they were well up the flight. He then began to grimace, like Adrian, face still bright red, mimicking crimson. Sharp breath every time the cuffs dug into his skin, but bit his lip and pushed onward. Once in the hall at the top, he tried pulling his arms up over Ade, but caught his shoulders and armpits every time. He was cuffed by the forearms, very tight. Well played, Mom.

He began to laugh slightly when he tried going down, and Adrian's pants began sliding down with the movement. Immediately Adrian urged him to stop, and he struggled back to his feet smiling. Now that they were alone, he was beginning to think that this was slightly entertaining. The only objections he had was the metal cuffs digging into his arms, and Adrian's clumsiness. Which would have been endearing, if it was not bringing Cas down to the ground every time Adrian placed his foot wrong.

He guided Adrian towards the door, "Wow, you would never make it as an agent. I've walked across a really narrow pipeline over an enemy meeting, unnoticed, before." He bragged, meanwhile ironically fumbling with the simple doorknob.

Cas did not jump at the sound of Amie, and was not altogether surprised by her presence. But, of course, Adrian's weight brought the agent down to the ground all at once. His went down face first, sideways, socked clad feet rapidly moving like he was running forward, trying to catch himself without the use of his arms, which only ended in said pair of feet flying back and up, the side of Cas' face connecting with the hard floor. Luckily, his nose smashed into Adrian's sternum. Let out a muffled: "Ow."

Amie Saunders stood over the two, eye brows lifted halfway up her long caramel forehead. Two plump gummy lips pressed together, pursed, with gloss like a sugar glaze catching the light. "Pekný pristátie, trkvas." (Nice landing, dork.) Prodded Adrian's head gently with her toes, rolling her eyes at the embarrassment strewn across the Scot's features, "Kto je thiss? Predpokladám, že svojho partnera, pretože dobre vidím, čo vy dvaja máte na mysli." (Who is this? I'm guessing your partner, because I can see where this is heading.)

Cas shot her a glare, struggling to a sitting position with Ade, trying to ignore the playful insult. "Aderiyaan Masoon." He replied, tugging the scattered Adrian up again; now the two sat on the floor, Cas' face pressed into Adrian's heaving chest. "On je môj." (He is mine.) Cassidy sounded slightly proud, but upon looking up at his love and examining the disheveled Scot, this pride melted and left Cas just nodding in affirmation, looking away with an embarrassed huff of breath.

Amie sniffed, not making a move to help the two. "Nebojte sa. Ani náhodou." (Don't worry. Not a chance.)

Cas glowered at his sister, and began arduously pulling Adrian's mass up again, to his feet.

As for Amie, she just stood there with a mocking grin. She looked at her nails, holding them up to the light, before picking at them gently with a content smile. She was playing. She had her own mischievous sentiment, with a tinge of individualism. It was the condescension that marked hers which made it all so special and unique.

As to who she was, that was completely obvious. Amie Saunders was a carbon copy of Cassidy Petar, with softer features. She was slightly shorter, and had maybe longer eyelashes, a rounder face, and feminine garb and make-up. She wore tight neon blue jeans, and a tight belly shirt. Long dangling earrings, catching the holographic pale light that illuminated all the rooms with soft shimmers. In contrast to Cas Petar, she dressed with the latest fashions, smartly. All the garb was new, tight, and in. To Cas, her heels were an exemplification of what practicality meant to her; they lifted her above his head, to Adrian's forehead. Impossible to run in. Almost made him sick. What if she needed to get away from something? Maybe she could stab the creature with the dagger like spikes, but much else, no. No, practicality meant zero to her.

A mischievous idea flew to her mind, and soon she was holding out a hand for Adrian's- which he hastily and graciously took firmly. She batted her glittery lashes, revealing the blue eye shadow that accentuated her black eyes, which were the exact same shape as Rozelyn and Cas'.

Ade huffed as he was pulled to sit up by his partner, his cheeks rosy in embarrassment. His auburn curls were once again ruffled. “Sorry, Cas.” He murmured, wincing at Cas’ squashed nose – he was surprised it wasn’t bleeding from the hit it’d taken. The doctor tried to pull the two up in order to stand and meet whoever Cas was talking to properly, but he teetered and had to lean on his partner while the Lieutenant hauled them both to their feet.

“Yes, I’m Adrian Mas-” He began, but was caught off guard as Amie’s face appeared over Cas’ shoulder. He staggered suddenly, and she took his hand, causing Cassidy once again to grumpily faceplant Ade’s chest. The differences between the two were stark and obvious to Ade, who had known Cas for so long; the softer features, the decorated face, the far superior dress sense. In fact, to Ade, she looked like his perception of Cassidy when they first met – feminine, cocky, and outlandish. And while on Earth Cas still got hollers down the streets for his girlish features, seeing them side-by-side as the Lieutenant raised his head from the doctor’s chest made Cas actually look…masculine.

It wasn’t until she battered her eyelids again that he realised he’d been staring awkwardly for several seconds. “Adrian Mason.” He repeated, clearing his throat. His face was flushed again, and he chuckled nervously at Amie, “Eye-m, uh – Cassidy’s pardner-“ He grinned in terrible Kerschnaille. “You – you must be his seester, Amir…?” He breathed, not realising how dishevelled he looked.

She regarded the doctor for a few seconds, letting go of the hand and taking a step back. She cocked an eyebrow, looking unimpressed. Adrian chuckled again, before realising what she was looking at – the fact that he and Cas couldn’t take their hands off each other. “Oh, uh – your mudders were ‘aving – a little fun, with us, haha-“ He added hastily, turning himself sidewards so she could clearly see that they were handcuffed together. Despite the fact he was still absolutely furious about the incident and was planning to tear up Cas’ cargo shorts in anguish later, he laughed at little at Amie, as if he was playing along with the joke. “They are soo…funny…haha…” He said, smiling weakly at her.

Amie snorted, unsure of what she should think of Adrian at the moment. He was aimed to please, it seemed. But he also was quite... Dorky. At least to Amie, who had a different type of man, of course. You know, the tough men with strong jawlines, straight chiseled features, and pretentious personalities.

Cas eyed Adrian, one wider than the other, his eyebrow an extension of his confusion. The Lieutenant yelped in protest when his face thudded into Ade's chest again, and his sore face squashed. Tugging his face away from the solid mass, he growled quietly, eyebrows lifted to the ceiling. "Adrian." He muttered, irritated with whatever this sudden rapt attention Adrian held towards his sister.

Adrian was laughing alone, though, so Cas smirked at that thought and squeezed Adrian a bit tighter, crushing his waist for a moment. He tugged Adrian back around when he tried to show Amie the handcuffs- like they needed to explain themselves.

Amie chuckled, waving the motion away. In fluent Kershnaille, she whispered, "Not interested." Flipped her hair, walked away. Cas narrowed his eyes, calling after her, "You never got an invitation!"

Amie looked over her dark shoulder, "Maybe not from you~!" Cassidy growled, tugged Adrian into the room.

Adrian frowned down at Cassidy as they shuffled into the room, and with some degree of difficulty managed to shut the door, the sound of Amie’s coy chuckle filtering in as she sauntered down the corridor. Just as the Lieutenant was about to speak, Ade shushed him, narrowing his eyes at the door. He listened carefully for a few seconds, as if any of the Petar-Saunders-Pesant trio were waiting outside, waiting for the right moment to pounce with more objects of embarrassment. No sounds were heard, however, and Ade cleared his throat after a stretch of awkward silence.

He looked down at Cassidy, “Well….uh, your sister’s, er…” He muttered, face twisted into a frown, struggling to put it into words. It was strange how similar they looked from the get-go, but they even seemed to act the same, having the same weird flirtatious streak in between bickering with one another. “…Is she always that-“

He yelped and was cut off suddenly as the frustrated Time Agent raked the handcuffs down his back, struggling to finally free himself of his partner now he was finally in the comfort of his own room. Adrian squirmed in response, casting worried eyes towards the door and half-expecting Alecia to appear. “Watch it, Petar,” Adrian mock-growled, snapping his head towards the Lieutenant as he struggled to fit his forearms around Ade’s hips, “One wrong move and I won’t be able to stand for weeks.” He smirked.

Cas huffed, rolling his eyes, "So dramatic, Ade! Won't be able to stand for weeks?" He tugged the cuffs down Adrian's waist, and then forcefully over Adrian's hips, taking the pants of his partner down with the movement. "Now... Step out, very carefully. Do not fall." That last part was a threat, really. If Adrian fell again, Cas felt as though he may murder him. He could only take falling because of Adrian's clumsiness so many times in a matter of minutes.

He stood after wrestling Adrian's clumsy feet through the tight opening his bound arms created, cradling Adrian's pants over his hands. "Here." He dropped them in his love's hands, before shuffling over to his backpack, arduously wrestling the zipper up so he could pull out his cargoes and get his pick out. "Is she always that... what?" He murmured, concentrating more on getting into his pack than the conversation.

Tugging the sand colored pants out single handedly, he toss them to the floor, and rifled through the pockets with his dominant hand. "Obnoxious?" He tried to fill in the blank, a tiny humored grin gracing his dark lips. He plopped himself onto his butt, now holding the dark metallic pick, which resembled a bobby pin. He carefully placed the instrument between his index finger and thumb, sliding the metal easily into the tiny hole. "These cuffs are a joke. They must have got them from..." Cas blushed slightly, not wishing to think about his parents sex life. "Well.. ahem.." He muttered, trailing off and moving on to a different subject. "Anyway-"

He twisted the metal back and forth, up and down, listening for any clue of which way to bring the pick next. He was feeling his way gently through the space, looking for blockages in the lock, so he may find the correct way to place the tiny end of the pick. Soon a sharp 'click!' brought a lit up grin to the agent's ears, and one cuff fell off. "Whoo!" He breathed, taking his now free hand to work at the remaining cuff.

“Mhmm…Well…obnoxious is one word for it…” He smirked, cocking an eyebrow as the Lieutenant started to work on the cuffs. He raised his brow further as Cassidy spoke, and he snorted, blushing a little too. Adrian snatched the trousers from Cas and forced them on as speedily as possible, smirking into the awkward silence, “…Well, they didn’t get them from the Time Agency, that’s for sure…” He murmured, nodding at the door as if they were standing outside.

He bent over and watched the Lieutenant fiddle with the relatively simple-looking lockpick, before reaching towards them and feeling around the edges of them. “They’re just toys, there should be a release catch around here…” He smirked as Cas growled and turned away from him, twisting the bobby pin around the lock. “Suit yourself.” Adrian said, sloping over to the nearest pile of clothes Cas’ mother had set aside from him. Some of them looked warm – but they were all too small for the Doctor. Huffing, he stealthily stuffed some of them in his suitcase – at least if he bought some home it raised the chances that Cas would eventually wear the expensive-looking, tighter clothes.

He turned his head as there was another click, and the Lieutenant looked up at him triumphantly. “Oh, there really is no end to your talents, is there, Mr Petar?” Adrian purred sarcastically, zipping up his suitcase full of useless clothes and dumping it on the floor. He dropped to the bed for the second time that day, burying his face in the pillow. Once again he drew the blankets over his chest and shivered. “…Maybe you can…conjure up some warm clothes from somewhere…I’m freezing my ass off…” He grumbled.

Cas squinted at Adrian in the dark, "Don't mention that." He threatened, smirking back in mockery. The Lieutenant looked up at Adrian with a raise of his brow at the implication he was making an unnecessarily long process of his escape. "I doubt there is a... Play... Latch." He whispered, concentrating still. He did not even think of a 'latch' that released, mainly since he never had to deal with play handcuffs. He had the real thing in his pocket. If anyone ever wanted any fun- Well...

Cas was so focused on his hand cuff situation, that he failed to notice Adrian stuffing the awful looking clothes into the suitcase. He looked up at Ade with a smirk, the cuffs fell off with a sharp 'chink!' to the floor, and Cas stood, rubbing his wrists. Despite the cuffs being a toy, they still had dug into his wrists the entire struggle up the stairs. He padded over to the bed, tugging uncomfortably at the tight shirt, "Helmi, it's like the things they made me wear when I was a private."

He fell onto the bed, landing on Adrian's back with a thud, digging in his elbows on purpose, "My Jedi mind powers can't create forms of mass; that's why magic does not work." He seemed to believe that Adrian was too primitive to know about how mass cannot be created, and smirked in a superior manner, "And, I know. I knew when I saw you packing your clothes." A laugh of triumph as the prank finally got revealed to Ade.

Ade’s eyes narrowed, “Oh, you did?” The Lieutenant’s creased face was revealed as he rolled over, blankets still huddled over his shoulders, “You little alien shit.” He growled, although the sides of his mouth were curled into a smile. Obviously Cassidy knew that his home planet was deceptively cold, and that his poor primitive partner would have no idea until he rocked up in his shorts and T-shirt. Even inside the house was relatively cold - although Cas and the rest of the family had grown up used to it, Ade’s teeth were practically chattering.

“Well, you had – better find me something to wear, I’m not staying here for a weekend freezing to death just so you can prank me,” Adrian said.

Or eeeelse--” He paused for effect, nodding over to the Cas’ bag, which was hidden beside a large pile of clothes, “I’ll hand those rancid cargo shorts over to your moms, along with anything else you hold dear,” His voice had a gentle threatening tone to it, despite the wobble from the shivering.

Cas was chuckling, smirking as he leaned in so their noses were only a breath apart, "Where will you go, though?" His raised eyebrows said it all for Adrian: absolutely nowhere at all. Cas rolled gracefully, tearing the blankets away from Adrian, and rolling his own body tightly into them.

He peeked out, a tuft of black hair sticking out from the roll, almost completely covering his squinted eyes with its shag. A silent laugh, characterized by the shaking of Cas' back, "Ah, but then I'd have to kill you." The Lieutenant was laughing, but suddenly froze, shaking his bangs from his eyes, "No, really. I'll kill you." His voice turned into stone, eyes locking with Adrian's, "My IDs are sewn into my damn pants, don't touch it."

Ade immediately retaliated, throwing his arms around the tight bundle of sheets and hugging them tightly. He took a double take at the quote, cocking an eyebrow at the Lieutenant, and gave a snort of disbelief. He might have seemed threatening, had it not been for the fact that moments ago they were handcuffed together, and his fluffed up hair and still pink face from the resulting embarrassment made him look more harmless than ever.

Mhmm. That’s funny, you’re usually begging me to touch your pan-” He growled, grunting at the other tried to escape from his death-grip. Adrian chuckled loudly, meeting the other’s steely look as he started to wrestle the blankets off him.

----

As Ade stirred the next morning, taking a few minutes to adjust to the fact that they were – yet again – not in their comfortable apartment bed, but in Cas’ less than spacious double bed on some foreign planet.

The red light streaming in through the slats in the blinds highlighted the auburn curls as he raised them from the pillow, and Adrian squinted hard as he struggled to look around the room. It seemed even colder than it had been the previous night, and the doctor shivered and buried himself back in bed, lightly pushing a sleepy Cas the side as he covered himself. He groaned again as the sound of light, tuneful singing made it’s way into Cas’ room, as his moms merrily started cooking breakfast for the two.

Cas' left eye popped open as Adrian began to stir, shifting the covers away from his legs. It had been years since he had been on Gliese, so the chill still bothered him a tad. But unlike Ade, the strange planet did not bother him. He was entirely used to waking up in eccentric places, even dangerous ones.

The Lieutenant pulled the blankets back, remembering his prank on Adrian, and buried his face deep into the cushioned folds of the fabric. Cas did not feel like leaving the warmth any time soon. He fluffed his pillow with one hand, and blindly brought his head back down again, this time smacking into something hard. His eyes flew open, and he groaned in irritation. He freed his arm from the warm caress of the covers, snatched up a black egg shaped brick, and tossed it hastily away. It landed on Adrian's lap, and Cas pushed his face back into the pillow, deciding to slumber a bit longer.

Upon throwing the black device, the glassy surface illuminated with a soft blue glow. The words were not even in Kershnaille, but Gliesian.

Nuhh,” Ade groaned as the sheets were cruelly tugged away from him, and shuddered as tiny goosebumps flooded his bare shoulders and forearms. “Cassidy-“ His voice was tired and threatening as he started to tug the blanket back, but was stopped as the egg-shaped object was thrust into his lap.

He blinked down at the device, shaking it lightly and holding it to his ear as it made a quiet rattling noise. He turned it this way and that in the dim light peeking in the room, trying to figure out what it was, before grunting and wiping Cas’ greasy handprint off the precious-looking thing. As he did so, one of the lines alien text – which much to his disappointment wasn’t what he had spent so long learning – lit up, flashing several times before fading away.

Almost instantaneously, the sleek black box at the side of the room stirred into life, blasting out the distant screech of a violin-like instrument, which slowly got louder and louder. “Oh shit,” The doctor murmured, sleepily stabbing at the egg-thing with a finger in an attempt to turn it off. The song suddenly skipped to the chorus, causing a loud male voice to erupt from the speakers around the room, whom spewed out a trail of Gliesian phrases inbetween more intense violin solos. Downstairs, Alecia’s ears pricked up at the sound, and furrowed her eyebrows as she paced over to the hallway.

Adrian flung himself out of the bed, cursing himself as he dropped the remote to the floor and instead started poking the music player itself – which was also written in Gliesian. The song restarted several times, and then started repeating the same 5 second segment, impossibly loud and booming throughout the house. It drowned out the sound of Alecia’s angry footsteps as she stomped up the stairs, yelling, “Cassidy! Vypni tú urážlivé nezmysly dole!”

Cas' buried face leapt from its pillow, eyes flying open as his arms flew up, scrambling round onto his back to defend himself from whatever had invaded the bedroom. His dark eyes now alert, they searched the room for the source in a back and forth frenzy, ears splitting from the deafening wailing of violins.

"OH MY GOD." Cassidy cried, heart pounding and breathing quickened from adrenaline when he finally rest his eyes on Adrian's back. Cas tried to untangle his feet from the blankets quick as he could while sliding towards the edge to stand; he jumped to his feet, one foot catching on the sheet, sending the usually graceful Lieutenant tumbling into the wall, and in a twitching heap with a loud BANG within moments.

At that moment, Alecia's fist punched the door open. The thing slammed into the wall, revealing a concerned and irritable mother. "Zakázal som ťa počúval, ako to ... To neslušné ... Toto hovno!" (I forbade you from listening to this... This indecent... This shit!) Cas was hopping across the room by the end of the sentence, wobbling from the rush, and snatched the remote off the floor, clicking the device off and freeing the neighborhood from the clutches of his extremely disruptive music.

"ADERIYAAN." Cas bellowed, eyes flaming and breath heaving. Alecia was yelling on one side, directly at Cas, as she complained about his awful music choice.

Adrian squatted awkwardly beside the machine, which was thudding out music so loud it was practically vibrating. He squinted and searched for a power outlet of some kind, just as Alecia burst through the door. As she squealed at Cassidy, Ade’s head snapped around to see his partner wobbling awkwardly around the room for a remote, and he breathed a sigh of relief as the awful music finally came to an end.

Nepoužívajte vinu svojho partnera za to!” (Do not blame your partner for this!) Alecia continued to scold, eyes narrowed, shaking her head, “Mu nie je dosť chytrý, aby prácu ten stroj. A to vy, kto mal tú hudbu tam!” (He is not smart enough to work that machine. And it is you who had the music on there!)

Sorry, Mrs Petar,” Ade winced in slurred Universal Tongue, stepping towards the distressed mother, who paused and cocked an eyebrow, “It was an accident. Cassidy-” He blurted, and stopped as Alecia’s eyes suddenly widened, spotting the bedsheets and clothes sprawled on the floor. She turned to Cas, looking irritated. “…What?” Ade murmured, suddenly jumping as Alecia reached for Cas’ wrist and lightly slapped it.

Pozrite sa, ako chaotický váš pokoj, Cassidy!” (Look how messy your room is, Cassidy!) She growled, stomping over to the sheet. She picked it up and started hastily folding it, laying it flat on the bed while still talking. “Aderiyaan si bude myslieť, že si flákač! - Ako budeme vôbec mať vnúčatá, ak sa to stane ... " (Adrian will think that you are a slob – how will we ever have grandchildren if that happens…!) Alecia drifted over the room, expertly picking up the discarded clothes and folding them neatly, ordering them in piles of shirts, pants and accessories. She wandered dangerously close to the pile where Cas’ bag was hidden, angrily sorting through the clothes while still lecturing her son.

Cassidy finally found the remote, after groping around the dark floor searching for half the song. He flicked it off, stood and glared at Adrian, hair sticking up in all different directions from rubbing around on the pillow, purple arcs beneath his eyes acting as dark circles. He was completely ignoring his distressed mother, instead burning holes into Ade's head with laser precision.

The Lieutenant snapped out of his disgruntled focus and snapped his head around when his wrist was smacked. To him it was like being poked with a feather, but he brought his arms out in disbelief, bringing his brows down in confusion. He kept silent only because it would be immature to throw his partner under the bus, especially since he was a guest here.

"No, je to trochu neskoro." (Well, it's too late for that.) He snickered, winning a glare that would have stung if looks could be felt. His brows rose in disbelief at the grandchildren comment, and his lips puckered, "... Čo?" He whispered inaudibly, pink rising to his cheeks. Cas crossed his arms, watching nervously as his mom worked her way over to his hidden bag, beneath said mess. "M-Mom." He said, louder now, furrowing his brow, brainstorming something to stop her.

Alecia ignored her son, now holding a folded pile of clothes. She dropped them on the bed, and lifted his pants off a black military bag that blended in with the dark floor. She pursed her lips, and gathered it into her hands, kneeling to see. "To je tak ... Heavy. Helmi, čo máš tu, Cassidy?" (This is so heavy. Helmi, what do you have in here, Cassidy?)

Cas' eyes got progressively wider as his mom picked up his agency bag, and began playing with it. He blubbered out a quick, "Leave that alone." In English, but was too quiet. Besides, his mom would have rolled his eyes if she heard, and claimed he should not hide stuff in here. Or probably would have assumed something very... 'Inappropriate' was inside. Something she would dig right in to, to lecture him about.

Cas pushed both hands through his messy locks, sputtering towards his mother's back. He leaned forward, ready to spring as she tugged the zipper open, and stuck her hand in. His chest felt like it was going to implode, and his hands were shaking. "M-Mom!" He took two sideways glances at Adrian, "Mali by sme Aderiyaan na nákupy. Na oblečenie!" (We should take Adrian on a shopping trip. For clothes!)

Alecia swung around, dropping the bag with a thud. She squealed. Her face lit right up, and she did not notice Cas' rigid shakiness, and face of relief. He nonchalantly crossed the room to the bag behind her, as she ran to Adrian, and knelt down to snatch his bag.

“Ah. Myslel som, že by ste nikdy pýtať!” (I thought you would never ask) Alecia grinned, turning towards Cas with a bright smile – she had been desperate to point out Ade’s horrific wardrobe choices, although she knew it would be rude until her son gave her permission to. She lept at the chance, pacing swiftly towards the doctor and momentarily forgetting about the bag. “Všetko, čo má na sebe, je zlé. Ten je horšie ako vy, Cassidy.” (Everything he is wearing is wrong. He is almost as bad as you, Cassidy) She clasped her hands over one of Ade’s hands, and wreched his arm upwards so it was horizontal to his chest. She scrutinised him, making a mental note of his body type and size, before walking behind him and looking him up and down.

“Y-ouu are soo tall, Aderiyaan,” She murmured in half-assed English, folding her arms and pouting a little, “We will have to go to Zech-Amar for your shirts…”

Adrian blinked in confusion, once again swamped in more alien dialect than he knew what to do with. Alecia ignored his protests as she continued sizing him up, fully immersed in the idea of helping her poor primitive guest and his pathetic wardrobe choice. The doctor sighed heavily, sharing a relieved look with Cas as he finished concealing the bag in a slightly more concealed place in the room. “What. Is going on.” He demanded to the Lieutenant as he walked back over, his green eyes burning with tiredness and confusion.

Suddenly, Alecia began ushering Ade out of the door, pointing at his auburn curls. “Iss yoour hair nat-ur-all-ee that coloor?” She asked innocently, blinking in confusion as Adrian’s face flushed red. She turned towards her son, who was wearing a cocky smile that matched Rozalyn’s. She swiftly turned her head back towards Ade, furiously shaking it. “…Not like that!” Alecia grumbled, folding her arms as they filed out of Cas’ room. “I only mean…it is not a good shade for spring colours. I will take him to have his hair dyed, Cassidy, to perhaps a deep violet…” She mused in Gliesian, gesturing for Cassidy to follow her.

"You will tidy your room later. Do not think you have escaped from me so easy, young man. You need new clothes too.”
Alecia trilled, practically glowing at the opportunity to redesign both her son and his partner. And because I am taking him with me, he will have to try them on, she thought merrily to herself.

Cassidy swung back around, content with his new hiding place. He had considered just not bringing it anywhere near here at all, but he felt unsafe without his weapon and gadgets. There was too much chance of some random danger popping up. And besides, he often just plain got himself into trouble.

Cas approached the two, now grinning as Alecia scrutinized his partner. Ripping to pieces what the 21st century considered fashionable. He snickered, crossing his arms and leaving against the wall. However, when she told him he was coming too his grin fell off his face and he huffed. Well, he would go. He wouldn't try any of the awful clothes though...

At Adrian's question, Cassidy bit his lip, the grin returning. "Well, I believe she just critiqued your hair color. She thinks purple would suit you better." Not that Cas would let her. But, it was so much fun to terrify Adrian. They left the room, and Cas crossed back over to his backpack, snatching his jacket and fastening the plasma gun into the inside, for safe keeping. Could not just leave that lying anywhere.

Then he followed the two out and down the stairs, to where Rozelyn was waiting with a table set with tons of 51st century breakfast foods, looking confused. She followed Alecia's movements as she excitedly sat Adrian down, and told him to get eating quickly. Cas sat down with a lazy 'plop!' and let his head loll back, snoring already.

“…What.” Adrian murmured, his eyes narrowing as they filed down the stairs, unsure whether or not to take Cas’ threat seriously. “…Purple…?!”

“Pozornosť!”(Wake up!) Alecia growled, tapping Cassidy on the shoulder, “My baby, you won’t grow properly unless you eat some breakfast.” She scolded, although her voice was slightly softer in tone. She began loading up a plate full of the food, and abruptly shoved it in front of Cas’ face. Eating cooked breakfast at the table as a family was weird for them, even when Cassidy had lived at home – but clearly the excitement of having both him and his partner present after so long had gone to their heads. Ade wordlessly picked through the safer, more human-looking alien food, too confused to complain.

Leave Cassidy be,” Rozalyn murmured, her face carved with a cheeky smile as she nodded at Cas. She retorted to Alecia, “I’m sure he is very tired after spending the night with Aderiyaan,” which sent the poor mother into a near heart-attack, and Alecia scuttled red-faced back into the kitchen to prepare even more food for the couple.

As Rozalyn chattered to Sabe, Ade leaned over to Cas, “…What’s the plan for today…?” he murmured, cocking an eyebrow, “Your moms keep looking at me weird…”

Cassidy groaned, opening one eye with a raised brow, "I'm... Twenty-two, mom." His eyes slipped shut again, head lolling to the side this time as he let the weight of it pull itself downwards. Cas was too tired to hound Adrian today for his finickiness, so he ignored the other pushing around his breakfast.

The Lieutenant popped an eye open when Adrian's warm breath tickled his ear; he sat up clumsily, "Mm.. They are, uh..." He paused, a slight grin ornamenting his face as Alecia retreated, hot faced and flustered. He didn't even care about the innuendo coming from Rozelyn; sometimes it was entertaining to watch his protective mother.

"Well," He continued, a wicked grin appearing, "They're preparing for the dissection, of course."

He stuck out his tongue, and picked up his fork, remaining silent for a minute, waiting for Ade's reaction. "They decided you are too... Old fashioned. Welcome to your new life as a living doll."

Adrian sighed, poking Cas sharply in the ribs. “You’re joking.” He grumbled, the tiniest hint of uncertainty in his voice. The doctor started pushing more food around his plate, chewing on his lip - if it wasn’t for Sabe’s eyes occasionally flicking over to check that his guest was eating, he would’ve pushed the plate away and excused himself from the table by now.

“Old fash—really?” He murmured, cocking an eyebrow at his lover, “I am not dressing in that...weird future stuff.” He shuddered a little, thinking about the kind of thing Cas’ sister was wearing the previous night. “…Or…else…” He added, in a vaguely threatening tone. Adrian nervously swallowed and drew a hand unconsciously through his locks as Rozalyn caught his eye, and she turned and promptly started chuckling to herself. “…And not my hair, either, d’you hear?!” Ade whispered to Cas, his face creasing, “…Can you imagine if I walked into work with purple hair…?”

Rozalyn re-entered the room, bearing an impressive-looking plate, stacked high with thin, streaked meat, which she placed abruptly in front of Cassidy. She petted his head, squishing down the tufts merrily before returning to her seat. “Eat up, my dear, before your partner freezes to death.” She smiled, pointing at Ade’s goosebump-covered arms.

Cas smirked, "Yep. Old fashioned. Even the hair, to them." He sighed, leaning back, "But- I cannot blame you. These clothes are..." He scooped a forkful of food into his open mouth, chewing with his mouth open as he spoke, "Well, once I wore clothes from that twentieth century era you lived in (I think it was the nineties or something) I could never go back."

Another smirk, and an elbow to the ribs, "Oh, I can imagine." He chuckled, enjoying the thought of an angry boss, flustered Ade, and some disillusioned preppy patients complaining of how inappropriate his ensemble was for work.

Cas immediately took a slice off Rozelyn's plate, and gobbled it up. He tended to be very hungry in the morning. Plus he never knew when food was going to be freely available. He was used to eating a lot, this meant. So later he could go with so little. Cas snorted, "Freeze to death." He whispered in English, rolling his eyes, "I could tell you about this one time..." He trailed off, remembering there should be no story telling about the agency. "Well, nevermind." He whispered, going back to eating.

Soon the five were heading out the door, into the frigid gliesian morning. The sun had just risen, and the sky was a bright red, streaked with brilliant purples and oranges, like a lady had smeared neon lipsticks in streaks across the dome of the sky. He padded out onto the invisible ground, not thinking twice about walking out into the open air below him, and jingled the keys while singing under his breath. "There's only room for four, in the rental." He called, beckoning Adrian to come with him. "Meet you guys there, I suppose." The parents reluctantly nodded, and Sabe had to convince Alecia to come with Rozelyn and he, instead of pandering Cas and Ade.
