Since tigers in real life require much more territory than the other cats, would that mean that there are less tigers? Or would it mean that there's larger territory for them? I don't know much about the other cats so I won't ask about their territories, but you get my point.

No
Some aspects of it reflect Warriors.
Really, the shifting part is inspired by Nightshade by Andrea Cremer, a trilogy I really liked when I read it.

And really, as soon as I discovered the Rusty Spotted Cat, I had to do an RP where I was one. XD

They don't behave completely like their species. So they live in clusters--the "camps" I mentioned earlier--instead of in solitary territories.

I was so sad when Ren died but I still loved the ending. I thought Shay and Calla were really good together. And he was better wolf than he was human anyway ?

My heart still mourns for Ren though
I've been meaning to reread it. I read the first book of the prequel series and it was really good.
