Just a cheetah who isn't happy with his position, and may act on it as the RP progresses.

Hey, guys! Again, sorry I'm taking so long with this. Just checking if y'all are still in (if you're not, you can totally just say so--I get it!) and to put the link to the OOC here, since I finally had some spare time. :)
Fantasy - Clawed in Blood: Broken Treaty [OOC]
I'm still working on my characters, so if yours aren't finished either, that's okay! Though most of you are done which is embarrassing on my part.
I come back to America on Friday and during this weekend/afterwards I'll be entirely more dedicated to RP-ing than I have been! Thank you for your patience if you're sticking around. :D I can't wait to flesh this out with y'all. ^^

Sorry I haven't finished my character! I won't be free till sometime next week. Hope that's ok!

For some reason my cheetah picture isn't showing up for me. Can anyone else see it. If you can't just look up Chinchilla cheetah. It's a genetic mutation that makes them bluish.

Hey, I'm really sorry but I have to withdraw my interest as life is closing in on me real fast. I hope the rest of you have a wonderful time in this!

BUMP
Do it for this cute widdle Rusty Spotted Cat

So lemme get this right -

> We're shapeshifters
> Tigers are badass (like always)
> That's about it.

Then there are the questions -

  1. Do we have continents/a map/significant geographical features?
  2. What about other animals, and what about normal felines/are all felines shapeshifters?
  3. What about other felines (cougars, housecats, servals, bobcats, lynx, etc)?
  4. Can the characters human-talk in their animal forms?
  5. What rules do we have on magic and technology?
  6. How are the cities/towns/villages like?
  7. How far is each civilization from the other?
  8. Do we have domestic animals like horses, cows, etc? What about pets?
  9. What about instinct?
  10. Are things that are poisonous to cats (such as lilies) also poisonous to our characters, at least in human form?
  11. Are there other civilizations (canines, hyenas, etc)?

Yes tigers are badass
But Rustys are cute

1.) I am currently trying to draw a crappily drawn map. That will be coming as soon as possible.
2.) Other animals are either a) prey for our characters, b) live somewhere else entirely, or c) don't matter. As for normal felines, they don't live in the territories with the other cats. They are the biggest cats around. As for all felines, in this universe they COULD be shapeshifters, but the main focus is the six species this roleplay centeres around.
3.) I had to choose very few species, so I went with the six coolest ones. (Well, the rusty spotted cat is just a really cute species, so I chose that... but it helped me with the "size prejudice" idea.) The rest of the answer is above.
4.) I'd say yes, they can use human speech while in their cat forms.
5.) Magic? Nonexistent. The only "magic" is their shifting ability. Technology... I'd say it's nonexistent as well. They can read and write books, however. Hence the ocelots being the "scholars." We're going back to middle-agey technology stuff, but their clothes look somewhat modern. (Keyword: Look.)
6.) It depends on the territory. The Rustys only have one base camp where their entire population inhabits, but the Lions and Tigers have huge numbers. If you look at the roles, you can tell where some might have hierarchies of cats living in little clusters. The bigger the territory, the more smaller "settlements" there are. If a species has a royal family, like the Lions, they most likely have a capital "city" with other surrounding "towns." But they don't have buildings like we think of, since they're cats. So "camp" is a really good way to describe them. Does that help?
7.) The sizes of the territories are relatively the same. Imagine a huge square about the size of half the United States. Now cut that square into six pieces. That's about the size of the territories. The borders between them are stated in the Treaty of Claws. Again, I'm working on a map that will clarify this.
8.) No to domestic animals, and no to pets. They basically live like the cats in Warriors... but we don't have to deal with dogs or sheep.
9.) I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean by this. Could you specify?
10.) Hm. I'd say if it's poisonous to cats, and a cat ingests it accidentally, the effects will carry over into their human form. Same with wounds. However, if it's NOT poisonous to humans, and they touch it, it won't harm them.
11.) Just like there aren't any other shifters but the cats, there are no other civilizations that we need to worry about.

Wow, these were all really good questions for me to think about. I thank you! Sometimes even the RP's creator needs to work out more logistics.

What I meant by instinct is if they still retain some of their real-world instincts or if they're completely "civilized".
I mean, I know we all retain some of our instincts, but I mean things like attacking small things, hissing, etc..

Also, holy shit, rusties are adorable. I thought "Rustys" just meant small cats like housecats and whatnot but I wasn't quite sure. I just looked them up. I'm in love. How could something be so small and cute-

Warriors... but we don't have to deal with dogs or sheep.
I never read that. pls explain beb

OHHHHHHH
Well in that case they're "civilized" in terms of basic human definition. So they've got moral values, a meaning of life, yada yada yada. Any "instinct" they have is what they use while hunting or fighting.

And yes. They hiss.

A lot.

IKR RUSTY SPOTTED CATS ARE ADORABLE

As for the Warriors reference, the cats often encountered dogs and shit.

:O Is the rp inspired by Warriors?! One of my favourite books in my childhood hehe

I actually tried my hand at writing a sort of story like this. Although it was kingdoms instead of tribes, and it had pumas, and panthers. And they didn’t shift into human forms.
