"I- I don't have a special someone. Are you feeling alright?" she asks, checking his temperature by placing the back of her hand on his forehead. "You're awfully fidgety today."

She chuckled. "Yes, they were special to me, but we were never together. We never got the chance." She smiled up at him. "I'll explain it to you once I finish, okay? For now, just accompany me?"

He nods relief washing over him. “Of course I’ll accompany you.” He smiles, walking a little closer to her.

She slipped her hand into his. This time, there were no other thoughts besides how it felt right. She pulled him along, walking towards the palace.

He squeezed her hand, his day getting a whole lot better.

(( hmmm we can’t have them date just yet. We need them to go through some pain. Any ideas? ))

// of course. we need another angst arc. i haven't any ideas yet, but ill put them in our chat when i do! //

Handing a few scrolls to one of the servants, Gee turned back to him. "Okay, let's go so I can tell you everything."

He nods, satisfied, “Back to the tower?” He keeps his hand in hers.

(( sounds good, I’ll let you know if I have any ))

She shakes her head. "No. We're going somewhere else." She drags him through the city and towards the outskirts.

He didn’t recognise this area, which was sort of a new feeling. He had memorized the whole city, it was a surprise she knew of a place he didn’t.

They pass a small cluster of trees, running up a hill. "Don't worry, I won't push you off," she chuckles, walking near the edge of it, but not too close to fall off. She sits down on the grass, patting the spot beside her. "Come. Sit."

The surroundings are beautiful. Clouds surround the bottom of the cliff as if they were at the bottom of the sky.

He sat, admiring his surroundings. Most of his attention wasn’t on the nature around him though ugh. He was focused on Geela, studying her face. His eyes met hers and he he’d, the gaze for a moment before looking away again. The wind was cool, but not too cold. It was just right, at least that was what Ollie thought. He plucked at the grass, still a little nervous.

"So, you want to know about him, huh? Where do you want me to start off?" She blinked her grey eyes, watching him nervously pluck at the grass.

He sighed, not knowing what to say. “Well, I don’t want you to have to say anything your uncomfortable with. Maybe we could start with his name?” It sounded like a kiddy request, but honestly Ollie himself didn’t really know what he wanted to know.

She nodded. "His name was Levi Fowl. I met him when I was seven," she started. "He had dark eyes that held a glint of mischief and untamable hair." She hummed thinking of how to continue.

She smiled, nodding her head. "Very much like you. He'd flirt and joke and be such a tease! It was adoring, to me at least."

She gazed at the edge of a cliff darkly. "He was amazing, almost exactly like you. He was even a demigod, a child of Thoris."

He looked at her, a tinge of anger in his voice when he asks, “So the only reason you hung out with me was because I was like your dead love?”

This couldn’t be happening again. This was a repeat of what happened with sage. Hurt and worry swarmed inside Ollies inside. He felt queasy.

She frowned, reaching out to hold his hand. "No, I didn't! You were so much like him I actually wanted to stay away, but you were so persistent." She shook her head, sighing deeply. "I don't know. It was something about your carefree spirit and pranking demeanor. I was so uptight and you just brought out the old me so easily."

Her eyes became glossy as she looked away from Ollie. "I wouldn't use you. I would never use you just because you look like Levi." Her grey eyes met his dark ones as her voice went an octave higher.

She didn't want him to think that. Was that what he really thought? It all suddenly felt wrong. She let go of his hand, pulling her arm close to her body.

He looked away, not convinced. It was just all too similar. He moved a little away from her. He needed space and fresh air. Suddenly everything felt like it was closing in on him. Could she be lying? He couldn’t tell, people had lie to him many times before.

"Do you actually think I would use you? That I would lie to you?" she whispered, looking at him sternly. She couldn't cry now, not when everything was going so well. It was all too similar.

"Lev! You don't really think you could hurt us!" Gee called out, running towards the boy. He stomped up the hill, flinching at her voice. She slowed down, "Lev, please. You'd never hurt us. Do you actually think you would hurt us? That you would hurt me?"

The boy turned around, making the rest of the Outlanders stop to listen. They were a few ways further from the pair who were talking.

'Yes,' he thought. 'Yes. I could hurt you.' "You don't understand," he simple muttered, running closer to the cliff.

Geela looked at Ollie expectantly. She felt as if he would say the same words. Her stomach churned anxiously as her heart pace quickened. 'Not again,' she begged. 'Please gods not again.'

He looked away, “You wouldn’t understand.” The pain crashed over him, like a truck that ran him over. Everything was going so good and then. He didn’t even know what had happened. It was just like what haD happened with Sage. She said that she would never use him and then where was she when he lost his father? Kissing another boy. She only wanted his money, which was long gone. The memories were painful, they came at him likr bullets. Sharp, and fast, no way to stop them.

(TW: Suicide.)

Gen stood up, dismissing the conversation. She turned her back before walking away, shutting her eyes as she tried to formulate words. "No, you wouldn't understand." She walked away, rushing down the hill in an attempt to run from the memories, but they just chased after her, haunting her like demons. A loud ringing noise ran through her head as she ran through a meadow of flowers.

"What do you mean I wouldn't understand? You just have to tell me -- us! Talk to us, Lev, please." The dark-haired boy was already at the edge of the cliff, looking towards the clouds below.

Alek's eyes widened as they tried to catch up to their friend. "Lev, please. You said we wouldn't do this without you. You said we'd fight the shadows together!" The Outlanders had already lost so much to the shadows. "If we must fight that shadows, then you must understand," Levi croaked, looking back at the boy. "If I die there will be one shadow less."

They didn't know what he meant. All they knew was that he couldn't-

Jump. He jumped.

He jumped and the world went silent. Their world went silent. Her world went silent.

He was gone and even the sky began to cry; it began to cry cold, hard tears. Gen collapsed at the edge of the cliff, wondering if she, too, should jump off, but Steve simply wrapped his arms around her and hugged her as she sobbed her sadness away. Snow began to coat the outskirts of the city, just as Levi had wanted. "His wish came true," Keith whispered into the hair, comforting a sobbing Mary.

"When I die, I want the heavens to snow for me."

She felt her damp cheeks, wiping the tears she hadn't even known were there. She had grown to accept the death only to have the moments come back to haunt her. I guess it was true what Cyrus had told her years ago, she could never be happy.

Ollie sighed, collapsing to the ground. He had messed it up again. He looked at the flowers around him. They seemed to beautiful for what had just happened. He stood up and began walking, not towards the city but further into the outskirts. He breathed in the fresh, cold air, trying to clear his mind. He trudged up a small hill, the city slowly disappearing. He sat down under another tree, wondering if it would be so bad to spend the rest of his life here. He knew he couldn’t do that, but sometimes he played with the thought. It was his duty to protect the city, it wouldn’t be right just to abandon everyone, even if there was no one waiting for him with open arms.

"Hey are you alright?"

Gee looked up at a hooded figure, eyes puffy from crying. The hooded person only gasped, tilting their head while moving their face closer to her's, making her back away. "Stop that, E, you're scaring her," another hooded figure muttered. "But look, Ry! Look at the scar on the left side of her face!" the shorter hood whispered, albeit quite loudly.

The taller figure kneeled down towards her, their gloved hand caressing her face. They let out a muffled, "Geela?" making her eyes go wide. She shot up, backing away from the two. They slowly inched towards her. "A-am I supposed to know you?" she stuutered as they pulled down their hoods, revealing two older boys. She furrowed her brows, stopping.

She'd never seen them in her life. How did they knew her name.

"I- No, you shouldn't," the older of the two whispered, looking at her like it hurt him. "But your brothers could never forget."
